The crowds seemed to be none the wiser about the explosions that were about to befall them as they carelessly danced around the wintery scene that was the ballroom. Dion was almost ready to laugh at the situation before the firecrackers even went off. Holding in his amusement he continued to dance with his meister normally waiting for her signal that things were about to pick up. As she leaned closer Dion knew what was about to happen but hearing Misaki speak confirmed his suspicions. Dion was ready when she was so it was only a matter of waiting for the sparks to start flying before making their masterful escape.
Watching his meister retrieve the ingredients out of the corner of his eye Dion couldn’t help but let out a small smirk at events to come. Seeing the fuses light Dion kept his ground for a moment as Misaki replaced the lighter so there wouldn’t be any seeable evidence. At his partner’s next exclamation he snickered slightly but continued to dance along with Misaki as she made her way out of the crowd as to not get stuck at the receiving end of their own prank. Simple enough in theory but a bit harder in execution.
Still shaking his head at Misaki’s remark he moved against the crowd to make their way out of the group by the time the firecrackers went off. He hoped they didn’t look too suspicious to the crowds of people as they departed away from the main group on the dance floor. Nothing suspicious here chaperones, just two students smirking and giggling leaving the dance floor together. On second thought that seemed to make them look even more suspicious and more warranting the notice and intervention of the chaperones. Well not much to do about that now. Other thoughts aside Dion followed his meister’s lead and made his way out of the crowd and away from the explosives that were about to go off.

Oblivious, every last one of them. None of the other students out on the dance floor seemed to notice that dull sparks or the faint hissing sound of the burning fuses, but then that was exactly what Misaki wanted. If they noticed and ran screaming for the hills it would still be funny but not nearly the reaction that she was going for. She wanted chaos, and it appeared she would get it. Leading her Weapon in their dancing escape from imminent explosions, Misaki was trying desperately to keep herself from grinning too wickedly. She wanted to avoid drawing the attention of the chaperones for as long as possible.
Misaki managed to lead them off the dance floor just in time. Standing only a few feet away, she heard the loud pops even over the music being played. And so the chaos began. First came the confusion with a few of the students looking around wide-eyed trying to find the source of the noise. Then came the high pitched screaming from several of the girls as sparks flew around their ankles. The dance floor was chaotic in seconds as the students tried to move away from the miniature explosions without stepping on the firecracker or running into each other.
Misaki bit her lip and clapped a hand over her mouth to keep herself from giggling like the maniac she was. Hopefully it looked like she was just horrified at the scene and not barely managing to keep her composure lest she break out into laughter fit for a super villain. It wasn’t working very well since a strangled sort of high-pitched squeaks were still escaping her lip. Misaki turned away from the scene and motioned towards a corner away from the chaotic scene. If she couldn’t laugh she would quite possibly explode, but she refused to do so while still in the direct vicinity of the mayhem she’d caused. The chaperones couldn’t punish her if they couldn’t see her.
Staggering more than walking, Misaki managed not to double over in hysterical laughter until she and her partner were away from the dance floor. She hoped the confusion and the music drowned out her insanity, it would be really unfortunate to be caught so early on in the night. Leaning back against the wall with her arms folded over her stomach, she tried to speak through giggles,
“Did you see their faces? Fucking priceless!”

Dion kept pace with Misaki as the two moved out of the blast range of the firecrackers. It was only a few feet they needed to move to escape but it was a very crucial few feet that would decide if they got hit by the sparks or not. Sure getting hit would be a minor inconvenience but it was more the aspect of getting caught by one’s own prank that pushed them out of the radius. A few steps later and they had safely made their way out and were ready to watch and enjoy their handiwork from a safe distance.
When the pops started to go off the fun began. It was like watching a wave as the people closest to the explosives reacted and from them the outcry spread from the epicenter. The screaming and flailing was a nice touch if unnecessary. It was just a few pops and sparks hitting at around ankle level, it wasn’t some end of the world situation. There probably wouldn’t even be a mark on the floor where they went off let alone on any of the people the sparks hit. Not to say that the reactions were not entertaining though.
Perhaps not as affected as his meister was Dion still had a grin on his face as the students lost their collective shit at a few explosives. The students meant to fight off evil creatures around the world and they couldn’t handle a few non-lethal firecrackers. It did confirm to him that Bang wasn’t in the crowd though. As ironic as it was with her being a rocket launcher he probably would have heard if not seen her before the rainbow managed to knock people over or do something to cause even more havoc. There weren’t any wreaking ball individuals that he saw but the few running and tripping was a nice touch.
Breaking away from the chaotic mess he followed Misaki as she ventured away from the cluster of people. It would be best to put some space between them and the crime scene to escape suspicion. Not that they weren’t already great suspects but they did have to at least try to not look guilty or the chaperones would have too easy of a job accusing of them and it was still too early to get caught and or thrown out of the ball. That could wait till later.
”Most definitely. I think a few of them tripped in the hurry to escape; I saw a few flailing arms like that.”
He did enjoy the havoc and watching the students overreact to such a little prank. It most certainly made the ball all that much more enjoyable for him at least. The only thing that could possibly make it better was if he could dance on the ceiling but he was sure that wouldn’t go over that well. Oh well it was still fun for the time.
”So then Misaki, what do you have planned for the next prank?”

Misaki managed to quiet her giggles after a few more minutes of sounding like a chipmunk on helium. The firecrackers on the dance floor had all gone according to plan. The tiny Japanese girl liked to think that this was a sign everything else would go just as awesomely for the remained of the night. They were still just getting started after all. Speaking of what she planned, Dion of course wanted to know just was she intended to do next to the unsuspecting students also attending the Snow Ball.
Misaki straightened up and tapped a finger to her chin in thought. There were still a few things she could do. All were good ideas; however she thought that it might be best for her and her Weapon to lay low for a few minutes. They wouldn’t waste too much time; just long enough for the chaperones to feel at ease again after the loud pops that had caused a mini-riot. But since Misaki was, well, Misaki it wasn’t like she could just stand by and do nothing during the cool down time. The right side of her mouth pulled slightly upward to give her a crooked smile as she looked at Dion,
“Well I do have those plastic eyeballs that need to go in the punch bowl. We could always sneak over and do that before trying to do something more noticeable. It’ll make sure the chaperones aren’t onto us but still give us something to do in the meantime.”
Yes, it wouldn’t do to just stand around and watch for when the chaperones were starting to relax again. Misaki would be bored in seconds doing that, and a bored Misaki was a dangerous Misaki. If they thought the firecrackers were bad, they should be thankful she was out of tiger balm after the prank she’d pulled recently in the bathrooms on the second floor. She felt very, very sorry for whoever fell for it, but it still made her giggle. Granted she wasn’t sure how she’d have used tiger balm for a prank at the dance. Maybe putting it on all the cups or something but that didn’t sound very creative. It didn’t matter anyway since she didn’t have any.
As far as the subject on what other pranks she had planned, Misaki was currently trying very hard to think of things she could do easily without drawing much attention to her and Dion. It wouldn’t be very fun for them to be caught and get detention. Then again if they were bad enough they may just get thrown out, but that wouldn’t be very good either. She was a pranking genius, so of course she would think of something. It was just a matter of time.

Things did seem to be going alright considering they had just set off explosives on the dance floor. No teachers had yet confronted them so they didn’t have any detention yet! That was all well and good but Dion wasn’t sure how long that would last if they kept pulling pranks on the dance, not that he was contemplating stopping anytime soon. A little detention never stopped anyone let alone him before so it wasn’t going to start now. Plus if things got really problematic they could always go for some sort of dramatic escape off the balcony or something.
Seeing his meister start thinking only confirmed these thoughts. If she was contemplating what to do next it must be some sort of terribly great idea. Sure getting caught was unfavorable but it wouldn’t even be that bad if they were. A few hours of detention or an extra lesson wasn’t the worst punishment in existence so there was really nothing to be worried about. Whatever would work to add a bit more excitement to the evening until the end of the Snowball. Noticing Misaki grow a wicked smile on her face pretty much confirmed all of his suspicions.
”Sounds good to me.”
It was a minor prank but Misaki was right that it would be best to stay low for a while as not to attract the unwanted attention of the chaperones that were scattered throughout the dance. Luckily he assumed most of them were a bit too preoccupied examining the site of the explosions so they shouldn’t be watching them too closely yet. He was sure that they would receive plenty of attention after ad the prank was something they would do and he was sure that the chaperones knew that as well and would be looking for them.
Maybe it would be best to go big before they were met with the eyes of the chaperones? Of course if they stayed under the radar they might escape attention at some point later if they didn’t get caught doing anything. It was still worth executing the eyes in the punchbowl for now and seeing what happened later as a result. Aside from what Misaki had planned Dion was thinking of what he could do as a prank. He had a few ideas but would need some time to decide on what one to do. Waiting for Misaki’s pranking spree to end seemed like the best idea for the moment anyway.
Plus eyes in the punchbowl were such a lovable and classic prank that it only seemed fitting that they bring it to the Snowball. Despite the current snow Shibusen usually had a somewhat dark and Halloweenish feel anyway so the eyeballs were practically a necessity at this point of their pranking career. Besides there was the whole dance portion that they could partake of after finishing with pranking so there was always that to occupy some time. Assuming they didn’t get caught for pranking and administered some kind of punishment. That would suck.

As usual, Dion was totally on board as far as the next prank went. Eyeballs in the punch bowl it was. Out of all the pranks Misaki could have done, this one was a true classic. This certainly wasn’t the first time she’d done it, she’d pulled it off on several other occasions, but never at Shibusen. None of that really mattered, what was important was that she would be able to get a few high pitched screams out of it. It was certainly better than standing around bored. That never ended well for Misaki. Things got dangerous when she was bored.
Keeping the grin on her face, Misaki linked arms with her Weapon,
“Well then, let’s get to it. Walking through the crowd to get there should give us some cover too if there are any chaperones trying to keep a close eye on us, so we’ll be harder to spot later too.”
Misaki really needed to stop playing Assassin’s Creed since at the moment she was picturing her and Dion using the crowds as camouflage much like Ezio did, but of course that was ridiculous. Could they possibly blend in and avoid detection? Yes. Would it keep the chaperones from finding them again? Probably not. This wasn’t a game where the guards were simple bots that barely noticed you. Besides, she had no doubt that the chaperones definitely knew of her tendency to prank so she was likely at least on their radar. If that assumption was right than trying to blend into the crowd was an even better idea.
Meandering through the throngs of students dressed in their best, Misaki also noticed that the stupid fluttery feeling in her stomach was back. She pouted a bit without really meaning to for a moment before shaking her head a bit. If she ignored it, the strange feeing would go away. That made perfect sense since the reason for it even being there was a mystery to her still. Even more was that it was beginning to get on her nerves. Having butterflies in her stomach, no matter the reason, would certainly mess up her focus and that would mean she could mess up the prank. She needed to focus otherwise she and Dion would get caught and that was not something she wanted to do tonight.
The crowds didn’t prove much of a challenge. People were so fixated on finding their friends or showing off their dates, most people were trying to move quickly. Misaki’s hiding place for the plastic eyeballs was a bit clichéd, but at least it was discreet. As the two approached their target, she seemed to adjust the top of her dress. For just a moment, though, she barely reached down the front and pulled loose two plastic eyeballs, quickly returning her hand to her side so no one would notice. With the set up ready, Misaki turned and winked at Dion,
“Showtime.”

A simple walk over to the punch bowl didn’t seem too terribly difficult for the two. Sure the chaperones may or may not be looking for them because of the firecrackers but it was just a walk for a drink. They couldn’t really get in trouble for walking to a location now could they? Plus there was always the option of getting punch pre-eyeball to make the motive look more sincere. In any case even if they did end up getting busted for the pranks it had been fun and they had spread a decent amount of mischief, Loki would be proud.
Misaki decided to link arms with him for the walk for some reason. The gesture may make their pranking intentions be less noticeable but overall did seem a bit unnecessary. No matter it was just a simple walk through the crowds to arrive at their destination. From the gesture or not Dion began to think of an idea about what to do after the prank. Unless Misaki had any more ideas they would just end up doing normal dance stuff after the eyeballs so it was only natural to think of more prank ideas. The only difference was that his target was his meister instead of the other patrons of the event. Now just to figure out what to do in order to successfully prank her?
Arm linked with his meister’s the two moved through the groups of people toward their target. No one seemed to pay much attention to them so they might not be the prime suspects for the firecracker incident. If he had to think of someone responsible Bang instantly came to mind, aside from the fact that he knew it wasn’t her. Leave it to the rocket launcher to explode something during the dance. Of course if it was Bang it would have been louder and involved more yelling, and possibly pantslessness.
As of yet Dion had not seen the rainbow rocket launcher that had made the last dance so unexpected. He figured that was a good thing as this dance had the potential to be much less awkward for him and all those parties involved. Of course this also meant it might be a tad less entertaining in the long run but that was something he was willing to live with. A few pranks were plenty to keep him entertained through this dance.
Nearing the fated bowl of punch Misaki produced the eyeballs that were meant to be floating in it. Dion grinned at the classical items and at the fun that was to be had with them. Again with the unnecessary gestures but it was no use complaining about. The odd wink was hardly incriminating enough to get them caught. Unlinking his arm he moved to the punch bowl and made it look like he was going to get a cup of punch to cover for when Misaki added the eyeballs. Plus he got to have the last bit of punch not containing plastic eyeballs. Looking at Misaki he smirked.
”Let the show begin.”
When she went to drop the eyeballs in he would scoop up some punch to cover their drop. A simple thing to do but it should be just simple enough to work!

Timing would be everything where this prank was concerned. Luckily Dion seemed to be way ahead of her in that department. Concealing her placement of the plastic eyeballs with punch getting was a great idea and make the two seem generally less suspicious. Returning the smirk her Weapon gave her, Misaki took one last glance around before moving closer to the targeted punch bowl. She couldn’t see any chaperones and any nearby students didn’t seem to be paying them much attention. Perfect. Timing the drop with Dion’s punch getting wasn’t that hard. They could pull of an awesome Resonance, timing a simple prank was nothing big at all and in seconds, the eyes were in. Now all that was left was to sit and wait for the first victims.
Just to be sure to avoid getting caught, the tiny Japanese girl tried to avoid grinning like a maniac and skittered a ways away. She stayed just close enough to be able to see any hysterics unfold, and of course it didn’t take long. Misaki watched with glee as the first victims approached and then promptly began screeching and hurrying away from the punch bowl in terror. It was a bit humorous that students sent to fight monsters were freaked out by something like eyes in punch. Still, that didn’t stop Misaki from snickering although she did hide her wicked grin behind a hand. Better safe than sorry,
“Remind me to do cheesy pranks like that more often.”
Misaki really did tend to go over the top with most of her pranks, but that was half the fun! She enjoyed thinking of all the ways to overdo a prank. Granted the hamsters in lockers had been a bit excessive now that she thought back on it, especially if someone happened to have an unfortunate phobia of the furry little creatures. It had seemed like a good idea at the time. The detention had certainly been worth it. At present, though, the tiny Japanese girl was out of ideas. Wicked grin still on her face, she looked over at Dion,
“That’s all I’ve got as far as shenanigans go unfortunately. Do you have any mischievous ideas?”
Dion was always willing enough to tag along with her crazy ideas, so Misaki of course was on board for any pranks he may have in mind. Even if they both happened to somehow be completely out of pranking thoughts, the dance itself would still be a blast. They’d only torn up the dance floor once after all; there was still plenty to do.

There was no way to be sure but Dion was pretty sure he and Misaki were having the same thoughts. The key to this prank was timing but that was hardly an issue after getting a resonance down. Plus there was the added fact that if they were to mess up it could still work and he wouldn’t end up being thrown into a tree with the feedback. Not that they would mess up but just saying. Keeping his eyes on his meister he noticed her hand begin the drop and he knew to act. Scooping the punch out of the bowl at the same time as her dropping was a piece of cake. One cup of punch got and a few eyeballs floating in the bowl to bear witness.
Following his meister he walked away from the bowl and stood watching with punch in hand. As the first victim was had he snickered into the cup to hide it and followed by sipping his eyeball free drink. His meister didn’t have his great cover but still seemed to be enjoying the fallout of their prank. It was a bit low key as far as pranks went but it was still amusing to witness such overreactions to a few fake eyeballs.
”Will do.”
It was a bit different from the usual pranks but fun regardless. A few little things like that interspersed with the big pranks and they would have the best pranks in school. Dion was curious if Misaki was harboring any more ideas to unleash upon the students around them and was given a response quickly. No more from the tiny Japanese girl? While then he would just have to think of something to do. The thing was he was all out of ideas as far as the dance went. Tapping his chin Dion thought about what to do as the next and probably final prank of the night.
Oh there was an idea! It had been in the back of his mind for most of the dance but with the sudden spotlight it just popped up. It wasn’t so much a prank on the entirety of the students as a prank on one. Singling out one individual just made the prank and subsequent reaction all the more fun! Of course it could backfire on him horribly but that was a risk he was willing to take for the sake of the prankster’s gambit!
”Hmm well I just have one idea as far as mischief goes.”
Leaning down to his meister’s level Dion gave her a smirk before kissing her. It had been awhile so he couldn’t recreate the events of the Masquerade Ball exactly but it was the thought that counted. Plus the situations were a bit different so Dion had no reason for his kiss to be quite as possessive as the one Misaki did. After he felt he got the point across he moved away from his meister with something akin to her wicked grin.
”There, now we’re even from your little stunt at the last dance.”
Quickly after Dion made sure to take a sip of the punch in an attempt to hide any possible red that may have gathered on his face. Better he held the drink and waited for his meister’s reaction to his prank. The prankster’s gambit was his, at least as far as he was concerned. In any matter he won just by being able to speak actual words instead of just garbled gibberish like he did last time after similar events.

Of course Dion had an idea. She really should’ve expected her Weapon to have at least one mischievous prank in mind, they were practically brain twins after all. Misaki tilted her head slightly and raised an eyebrow,
“Oh really? Care to fill me in on this pr-“
The smirk on Dion’s face really should’ve alerted Misaki to the fact that he was up to no good, but she hadn’t expected this, no not at all. It took her a second to register that he was kissing her. They were kissing, her and her Weapon. The way her heart appeared to flutter about in her chest as this occurred alerted her to a truth that had been looming overhead for the entire night. The butterflies in her stomach, the inexplicable blushing, and her general habit of smiling whenever Dion happened to look at her. Oh no, Misaki thought, oh no, no, no! Of all the stupid things to do, Misaki would be the one to fall head over heels for her Weapon.
How the hell could she have missed this?! Granted Misaki really was only in tune with two emotions at a time on any given day, and those were excitement and giddiness respectively. On the average day, love was usually the last thing on her mind. She had other things to focus on. It wasn’t like she’d never had a crush before, but this was different, Dion was her Weapon, they had to work and go to school together. Oh this was ridiculous, what the hell was she doing? Misaki’s thought went around and around in circles in her mind trying to find a way out of it, deny that she felt this way but no. There was no way around it, Misaki Saito was in love and she had no fucking idea what to do about it.
For one it would probably help to figure out why Dion kissed her. It was a prank according to him, but about what? She supposed she’d find out soon as Dion moved away from her and broke the kiss. A bit dazed, Misaki merely stared at her Weapon for a moment with a rather obvious blush on her face. Shit, no! She couldn’t blush, that’d be a dead give away! She would’ve tried to do her Samara impression but unfortunately with her hair up that wasn’t an option. Covering her face wit her hands was a bit drastic and also way too noticeable. Misaki decided she’d just blame it on the lighting. The last dance? Oh, that’s what he meant! He was getting her back for that time she’d kissed him at the Masquerade Ball! That made a lot more sense. Unfortunately, it left Misaki with a very unsettling train of thought.
The kiss had been a prank to get back at her. Granted she did deserve it being so possessive like she had, but the tiny Japanese girl had thought it completely necessary at the time. Still, that meant he may or may not like her the way she liked him. Say something you baka! Misaki coughed a bit before replacing the wicked grin on her face to try and avoid Dion becoming suspicious,
“Y-yeah, you sure got me! I’m surprised you remember that, it seems like forever ago!”
Oh great, as thought her blush wasn’t enough now she had to stutter. At this rate he’d figure it out! She needed to figure out something to take their attention elsewhere. Glancing around, she found one,
“Oh wow, there’s fake snow falling from the ceiling, I didn’t even notice that before!”
Smooth, Misaki, real smooth.

Dion thought his prank had been quite successful. It did serve the purpose of putting them both on equal ground after the last dance and that made Dion feel better. The last thing he needed to worry about was a pranking debt to his meister of all people. Plus there was the added benefit that now he didn’t have to worry or even think about the last dance and wouldn’t need to have that bothering him. It did seem to have the desired effect on his meister as well so it was a total success as far as he was concerned.
As expected Misaki managed to have a much better reaction than he did but that was alright. She still blushed and even stuttered like he was hoping for her to. To be fair there was a distinct lack of Bang this time as well but involving her would make things far worse for everyone. This was good enough for him so might as well leave it at that and be done with it. A day without a rainbow suddenly making out with you in front of the majority of the school was a good day as far as Dion was concerned.
What was odd to Dion was that Misaki seemed a bit more flustered than he expected. Yeah he was prepared for blushing and stuttering but the comment about the snow seemed off. It was pretty much impossible to not notice the snow considering their location, inside the school in the middle of Nevada. Plus he was pretty sure he had interacted with the snow at some point previously in the night. Tilting his head he looked at his partner suspiciously.
”Yeah its been doing that the whole time. Are you feeling alright Misaki?”
Maybe the prank had too much of an effect of she was sick or something. Either way Dion was confused by her reaction.

Shit, he’d noticed! Then again her hopeful ploy at getting him to take notice in something other than her had been a bit weak. The fake snow? Really? That’s all she came up with? This sudden realization was really throwing her off her groove. No she was not alright; she was having a crisis of the heart god damn it! Of course Dion couldn’t know that and Misaki certainly wasn’t about to just up and tell him, oh no. That was not an option, but she needed to think of an excuse quickly. She couldn’t have her Weapon being suspicious of her, that’d only make her more self conscious and even more likely to slip up.
Thinking, she had to come up with a good excuse. Sick? No, then he might get worried and keep an even closer eye on her. Plus faking sick was not Misaki’s strong suit. She’d tried that one or five times with her mother to get out of school as a kid, it never worked out quite right. She could claim that she’d merely been caught off guard, but she didn’t want to make it seem like she was some sort of weak in the knees girl that could be so easily swept off her feet. Damn it, there had to be something she could use as an excuse but Misaki couldn’t get her frantic mind to think one up! Think, what would Bang do?...okay bad idea, what would Nat do? No, just as bad, Nat would probably drag her date to a corner and do various questionable things to them in this situation. Why was this so hard? The tiny Japanese girl waved a hand and gave Dion a smile,
“Oh I’m fine, I just didn’t notice it before is all, and you know how scatterbrained I can be.”
Misaki hoped her would buy that. If not, she’d have to think of something else. Worse case scenario she claimed to be sick and they went home, which she didn’t exactly want to resort to. The night was still young, and it wasn’t like going back to the apartment would help in any way. They lived together; she’d likely only succeed in keeping herself awake all night trying to still her rapidly beating heart. Misaki glanced around the room to see if she could find something to take the attention away from her. No dice, nothing was nearly interesting enough. Going with the first thing that popped into her head, the tiny Japanese girl glanced at her Weapon, putting on her signature wicked grin to try and hide the fact that she was still blushing,
“So do you have any more prank ideas, or was that the only one? I’d have more tricks up my sleeve if I had any, but I couldn’t figure out a way to smuggle chickens in from the outside without something going wrong.”
That prank would have been glorious indeed, but alas it was not to be. It would have also taken her mind off the accursed butterflies that kept fluttering about in her stomach. Misaki rocked back on her heels and looked back over at the eye tainted punch bowl. A group of girls were staring disgustedly at it. One actually looked a bit green at the site of it. Sheesh, they were just eyeballs. These people really didn’t know how to handle random body parts floating in punch.

Dion stood there waiting for his meister’s answer. She was acting rather odd for some reason and he wasn’t sure why. All he did was pull a little prank on her so it couldn’t have been caused by that. The snow comment was really strange considering that it had been going on since they entered the building. If something was seriously off they could just leave the dance. It wouldn’t bother Dion since they already managed to pull off a decent amount of mischief in the time they had. Sure there was dancing and other stuff but Dion wasn’t really interested in that so much.
At his technician’s response Dion raised his eyebrow at her. It didn’t seem like that was it but it was whatever. No use worrying about something if she said it wasn’t an issue. If there was something wrong she would have said something. If anything he should be able to sense it from their soul resonance training. Yeah that was right! After that he would be able to tell if something was wrong and sense he didn’t sense that anything was wrong she must be fine. Perfect logic! Now that that was out of the way it was all about deciding what to do next.
”Alright, if you say so.”
He was still a tad suspicious but for the moment it seemed like everything was alright. He could always ask her about it later anyway. For now it seemed his meister was thinking of some idea for prankings. Or not but still it was something better than the snowflakes comment from earlier. It seemed that she was out of prank ideas as well but the chicken idea must have been glorious. At least it had been fun while it lasted so there was no loss there.
”Sadly I do not and no way to properly smuggle chickens inside. So I guess that means an end to pranking for now and attempt other dance activities?”
It had been a good run but all good things must come to an end. Now they could still enjoy the non-prank filled part of the dance.

Oh thank goodness, Dion seemed to buy her excuse. That was good, especially since Misaki really didn’t have any other good excuses lined up. For now she could rest easy, but of course with one crisis averted another ten popped up in her head. Sure she had avoided being found out for now, but what about later? She and Dion lived together. Yes, the tiny Japanese girl inwardly screamed upon remembering that terrible reality. Why the hell did she have to be so dumb? Of all the people she could have fallen head over heels for, she of course had to go for Dion. If there’d been a wall nearby she’d be hitting her head against it right about now.
With a future of sneaking around and trying to act unsuspicious very clearly manifesting itself in her mind, Misaki tried to think of the next thing the two could do. Dion apparently knew no way to get chickens in Shibusen either, which was perfectly fine. She hadn’t expected him to and really would’ve been surprised if he did. Still, that prank would have been hysterical. Scared hens scurrying about the room under the students’ feet would have been a sight to behold, but it just wasn’t going to happen. Another time, perhaps. Misaki mentally filed it away under pranks she could try again at a later date when she had more time for planning.
Being in a near constant state of insanity, the tiny Japanese girl rocked back on her heels and glanced around the room. While she wouldn’t mind getting something to drink from the eyeball filled punch bowl, she wasn’t exactly thirsty. Besides, then she couldn’t watch others continue to walk over and then stumble away mildly horrified. She wasn’t going to pass that up. The only other thing that really caught her attention was that dance floor. While it would mean more close contact, she and Dion had only danced once. She started to fidget just thinking about it, plus the music wasn’t as bad as most run of the mill school dances tended to be. Then again, this was Shibusen after all. Looking back at her Weapon, she nodded towards the slightly smaller crowd of dancing students. Apparently some were still wary to venture back out after the firecrackers,
“How about another dance?”
While it was true that the very concept of dancing with Dion now made her more nervous than any other situation, it was still something to do and still fun. Would she blush the whole time? Yes, but she didn’t particularly care. If he noticed she would blame it on the lighting or claim that he was imagining things.

It looked like pranking was done for the night as both he and Misaki were out of ideas to do. He guessed he could always climb up the walls for something but he had no idea what he would do once he scaled them so there was no real point. Shame, he would have loved to set off some prank above all the students. Well it wasn’t like there wouldn’t be plenty of more chances to pull off wondrous pranks in the school’s future. Plus it wasn’t like they needed a special occasion in order to do so either, that was just an easy way to get a large audience.
The only question Dion had now was what they were going to do next. He was pretty much good with anything Misaki could come up with as he had no plans of his own. Also there was the fact that getting Misaki to talk and do more stuff would hopefully help him tell if she was really alright from earlier. He didn’t think much of it but it was one of the thoughts in the back of his mind. The primary other one was what direction was he most likely to be attacked from by some rainbow clad force of destruction. It was suspicious that it hadn’t happened already so Dion knew to be on his guard.
Noticing his meister nod in a direction Dion turned to see what she was pointing out. Oh so people were still being hesitant about the exploding dance floor? They did have some sense about them then, even if the floor wasn’t going to be exploding in the immediate future from their own devices. Maybe someone would take up their work and set another bunch of firecrackers upon the floor? No that was impossible because no one else was as awesome as they were.
”Sounds good to me.”
Dion had no better plans so another dance was fine. It would at least give them something else to do while they were at the dance. And there was the added bonus of less people taking up all the space because of the firecrackers from earlier. That could not have worked out any better. Well if that was the plan it was about time that they took action and showed up everyone else. Extending a hand for Misaki to take Dion led his meister out into the diminished crowd of students.
