Finally it was the night of the Snow Ball! Misaki had been going nuts waiting for it. It was an excuse to dress up nice, plus there would be plenty of mayhem to cause. The night just wouldn’t be complete unless someone set off firecrackers after all, or something else equally distressing. The tiny Japanese girl already had a few things planned, just to keep the chaperones on their toes. Dancing was only fun for so long after all. Misaki had done plenty of dancing whilst getting ready for the entire event anyway. Yes, she’d danced setting her shoes out and everything. It as a wonderful feeling being able to actual wear the dress she’d gotten after sitting and staring at it intermittently since she’d bought it. Misaki hadn’t really dressed up so much for anything in a while. The last dance she’d gone to at Shibusen had been interesting to say the least. Hopefully this time there wouldn’t be any impromptu make outs, least of all ones that she really could go without. Needless to say she would also be keeping an eye on Bang, but from a safe distance of course. That couldn’t last too terribly long though since she fully expected to be dragged out onto the dance floor. Then again with how excited Misaki was, she may be the one pulling people off the wall and out into the middle of the room to dance. She only hoped the DJ was good otherwise rioting may ensue. No standing outside Shibusen, all that could really be heard was the beat of the song, but Misaki had no complaints so far just based on that. A giddy smile formed on her face seeing how decked out the school was for the Snow Ball. Glancing over at Dion her smile somehow grew, “They really went all out for this, huh? The place looks fantastic!”Although she had to admit, the fake snow lying here and there was a bit much, but then again it was Nevada. The chances of actual snow were slim. Overcome with excitement, Misaki spun in a circle with her arms out for a moment, just happy the dance was finally happening. Once she was done with her own private moment of rejoicing she wondered briefly if Nat or Bang were present inside yet. She would have to keep her guard up as to not be taken by surprise, but that didn’t put a damper on her mood. It only meant things would be even more fun with two of her best friends ever present. Not patient enough to wait outside for another minute, Misaki linked arms with her Weapon and went about dragging him inside the doors with her, ”Come on, let’s hurry and go in!”Misaki had a nagging feeling that tonight would be one to remember. It didn't seem like it, after all there would probably be another handful of school dances to attend but something told her there would just be something special about this one. With that odd thought present in her mind, she was going to make damn sure to have the time of her life, possibly tossing a fake eyeball or two in the punch bowl along the way if it meant getting the chaos up another level or two within the building. Yes, this would be fun indeed.

Not quite as excited as his meister Dion was still relatively excited for the mayhem that was sure to ensue during the Snow ball. He wasn’t too concerned with thinking of things to do, there would probably be plenty of things to pop up throughout the night. Plus Dion was certain that Misaki had a plethora of things planned that he would get dragged into. Not that he was unwilling to join in whatever pranks his meister had concocted, quite the opposite really, he was practically waiting to see what sort of mischief she had thought of for them to unleash. Honestly the whole dressing up thing Dion didn’t really care about. Nothing about looking fancy caught his interest. Sadly it wasn’t like last time where dressing up was somewhat interesting and had more of a purpose. Plus Dion made for one badass jester and any excuse he had to dress and act as such was always a positive experience. Well it should be until things spiral downward and everything turns into one big cluster of confusion and embarrassment that he would much rather not repeat. Hopefully they could get through this dance without the misfortune that befell them during the last one. Listening to what could be heard of the music from outside the school Dion glanced around to check out the decorations the school had set up. Engrossed in the sight he momentarily stopped paying attention to his meister and focused on the spectacle that was Shibusen. He was brought back by Misaki’s words and had to agree with her. Shibusen did look quite amazing with all the decorations that were displayed for the Snow Ball. Not that he would expect any less from a school with the God of death in charge. Of course the new Shinigami wouldn’t disappoint. ”Yeah the place looks great! Probably a way for Ki…Shinigami to show that he can run things.”The loss of the previous Shinigami was a sad event but Dion couldn’t and wouldn’t bother to dwell upon it. Turning to look at his grinning meister he had to admit the school wasn’t the only thing that was looking great for the Snow Ball. However after the events of the last dance Dion quickly attempted to dismiss the thought in an attempt to avoid his head being full of confusion for the duration of the dance. Yes just don’t think about that and nothing can possibly go wrong! Watching the fake snow fall Dion held out a hand to catch some in the air. The flake floated down to him and landed on his finger before melting into water and rolling off. Seeing snow again was enough to clear his mind of the previous confusion. Dion wanted nothing more to go sled or something but he knew that was out of the realm of possibility in Nevada. At least the fake snow was a small touch of home and lifted his spirits for the Snow Ball. Tonight was going to be great, there was snow after all! Distracted by the snow he was caught off guard when Misaki suddenly linked arms with him and started to drag him inside. After the initial shock of being dragged Dion caught his feet and continued at pace with his meister. Oblivious to why she was so eager to get in Dion simply went along with her. Knowing Misaki she probably had a slew of great pranks to set off during the dance. The earlier they got stated the more they could do and the more fun it would be. Well at least that much made sense to him.

Once inside the actual dance, Misaki was hit with at least three good ideas for mischief. But that was beside the point. She wasn’t just there to be causing trouble after all; she intended to have fun too. Tapping the heels of her shoes on the floor impatiently, the tiny Japanese girl contemplated what exactly to do first. The dance floor was right there after all, and the DJ seemed good enough. But then there were those streamers that just begged to be pulled on or swung from. Oh and then there was the ever present punch bowl. Misaki had a brilliant plan for that. Two plastic eyeballs added in would make for quite the spectacle, oh yes it would. She had a few other things hidden up her sleeve of course, but that could wait. Looking over at Dion, she tilted her head,
“What do you want to do first?”
The possibilities to cause a bit of trouble inside Shibusen were practically endless. Misaki on her own could come up with some pretty crazy ideas, but with Dion at her side that number of chaotic thoughts pretty much doubled. He had to have some ideas of his own and she would hate to leave them out. That wouldn’t be fair after all,
“Any ideas of how to rock this place a little harder? I mean I’ve got my own tricks, plastic eyes in the punch and whatnot, but you must have a few things in mind too yeah?”
Tapping one of her feet to the beat of the music, Misaki waited for her partner to answer her. The two were almost like consulting criminals, or partners in crime. Their trickster antics did tend to go hand in hand, at least some of the time. Although that one time where Misaki had released tree frogs into the classroom had been entirely her plan. She needed to do that again some time, although maybe with faster moving animals. Possibly hamsters. Or maybe puppies. Something that was small but still manageable. She wouldn’t want to be carting around a crate full of angry raccoons or anything after all.
Something else that crossed her mind was that she had never really seen Dion dress up before. True, she had a tendency to feel obliged to look at least semi-formal most days, but that was part of her upbringing. In her mother’s world casual didn’t exist and it was made very clear to her that she was to dress accordingly with her family’s status. Still she had to admit, her Weapon looked good dressed up a bit. Really good. Wait, what was she doing? More importantly where on Earth had that thought train appeared from? Misaki blinked and turned her attention to the various streamers and things hanging from the ceiling to clear her mind.
Once she had her thoughts back in order where she thought they ought to be, Misaki glanced around the room. She could've been checking for Nat or Bang but no, she was actually scanning the room for chaperones. She didn't see that many, maybe one or two teachers that had shown up grudgingly to make sure the students behaved themselves. That was good. It would make any pranks she and Dion would execute far easier to get done. There was nothing more disheartening then setting out to accomplish a well thought out prank and being interrupted by the anti-fun police that consisted of every adult ever it seemed. Misaki had seen many a display of pranking genius completely torn apart by chaperones and such, but hopeful no such thing would happen tonight.

Dragged inside Dion took a moment to look around the decked out building. Shibusen was indeed trying to impress with the display of decorations and artificial snow. The whole thing seemed a tad over excessive but Dion practically lived off of over excessive! Besides, he had to admit that the impression factor was working. Of course when everything was thrown together by a god it did make sense that things would be on the elaborate side. Shinigami wasn’t going to have anything less than godly prepared for the school, especially considering his newly divine position. Alas there was more to the dance than looking at the decorations.
Hearing his meister say something he looked to see her looking at him. Hmm ideas on what to do? Dion wasn’t plotting anything particularly interesting at the moment but perhaps he would get some spark of inspiration as time passed on. Not having any clear plot in mind he simply shrugged at the question. She did confirm his suspicions at the mention of plastic eyes in the punch bowl. It wasn’t anything particularly breathtaking but it would be fun none the less. Even if Misaki had a slew of little pranks like that they could all add up to something awesome!
”meh, don’t really have any ideas as of yet. I’m sure I’ll think of something eventually though.” Not one for standing still or other forms of socially acceptable behavior Dion took the time after answering to spin in front of his meister. Resting his hands in his pockets he leaned down so he was facing his meister at her height and grinned. ”So what do you have in mind? I’m pretty much up for anything especially things of the pranking variety or not in full possession of one’s mental faculties.”
Letting Misaki make decisions was most likely dangerous for everyone involved and some not, but it was usually fun so why not?

As usual, Dion was along for anything Misaki happened to think up. Well then, perhaps she should try and think of something a bit more chaotic or fantastic. It was a big night after all, and their evening had only just begun. Tapping a finger to her chin, Misaki thought a moment. The whole thing with the plastic eyeballs could probably wait a bit, wouldn’t want to scare people too badly right off the bat. Of course right as she said that she wondered next when and particularly where to put the firecrackers she had on her. Rolling them out onto the dance floor seemed like a relatively hysterical idea. They were small as well, so they would just cause a spark and some noise, nothing big enough to hurt anybody thankfully. Misaki may actually be compelled to feel bad if someone got hurt in one of her pranks.
Not seeming to be ale to come up with any truly good ideas other than that for the firecrackers, Misaki decided to ask Dion. Donning her signature grin that meant she was absolutely up to no good, Misaki questioned her Weapon,
“Well, it just so happens I’ve got a few firecrackers on my person as well. What do you think we should do with them? I could kick them out onto the dance floor and watch people jump at the noise and sparks!”
That was sounding like more and more of a splendid idea to Misaki. Of course another option was to actually dance then simply drop them behind her while she was moving about to the music. They would just need to make sure to get out of the crowd before they went off. Misaki would be trampled at her height, something she’d rather not experience. The thought of leaving them under the food table also crossed her mind, but then that would just confuse people more than startle them. Popping noises from under a table, goodness what could that mean? If anything it would only be a minor distraction and didn’t seem worth it the more she thought about it.
Something Misaki couldn’t figure out was why she had the distinct feeling of butterflies dancing about in her stomach. She wasn’t nervous in the slightest. Pulling pranks and causing mayhem was something she did on a regular basis. To go a week without doing something crazy meant she was usually sick or something. Still, it seemed to pass after a moment. That was good as it only would’ve distracted her otherwise. If she lost her focus with the firecrackers, whenever and however she decided to use them, she could wind up messing everything up after all. That wouldn’t be good and would possibly end in detention, not that such a thing would last very long. She was notorious for messing up detention, usually with silly string and stink bombs.

Not having anything planned for the Snow Ball Dion was curious to see what his meister would think up. Plastic eyes were always good for a little bit of mischief but he had a feeling that for such an event Misaki would have something more mayhem worthy in mind. After all being such a rare event a certain amount of attention grabbing needed to take place. As fun as plastic eyeballs could be they were a little on the tame side and were pretty passive as far as pranks went. No, this would be more interesting than his mild jest at the last dance.
At the sight of his meister’s grin Dion knew that she had come up with some sort of idea that may bode negatively for the other participants of the dance. Firecrackers eh? Well that was a bit more on the active side than dropping plastic eyeballs into the punch. An air of anonymity could still be kept if desired but that wasn’t terribly important. Overall it sounded like a great idea and was sure to be entertaining at least for them. Perhaps those dancing when the firecrackers went off would disagree but they were of little importance to him.
”Firecrackers sound like a great idea! Now how exactly do we go about releasing them?”
Just flinging the firecrackers into the crowd would get the desired effect but would do little to displace suspicion and blame. They would have to be a tad more subtle with their firecracker placement so it wasn’t terribly obvious who had done it. No doubt they would figure out something between the two of them that would result in maximum prankage! It would work out gloriously and the prank would be amazing! Now it was only a matter of minor planning before things started to get amazing!

Oh wonderful, Dion as on board with her idea. Then again Misaki really should’ve expected it by now. Anything she had planned in the way of causing chaos usually involved him in some way anyway. Still, her Weapon had posed a good question. Glancing over the dance floor she pondered exactly how to go about tossing firecrackers in amongst the unsuspecting dancers. There was a fair amount of people out thrashing around to the music with varying degrees of skill. Firecrackers were sure to cause a commotion amongst them and possibly cause a few toes to be stepped upon but that was the hazard of open-toe shoes, hence why Misaki hadn’t worn them.
Think a for a few moments, there were a great many ways to get the firecrackers out on the dance floor but only a few would work well enough for them to avoid being caught and scolded, not that she would mind that. Being scolded only ever encouraged her to see just how angry she could make the chaperones at these kinds of events. Tilting her head, Misaki smiled knowingly,
”Well, I could always just sort of throw them but that probably would cause a panic before they even went off. I could pretend to fiddle with my shoe and set a lit one on the floor and just sort of casually kick it but that still might be noticeable too I guess.”
Hm, this really shouldn’t have been so difficult for her to figure out. Thinking of yet another idea, the tiny Japanese girl looked up at Dion and tilted her head yet again,
“We could also sort of disguise it and be firecracker ninjas. I could light it, then we dance through the crowd, and I just drop it and then we run off before it goes off.”
A good idea and far more risky considering that if Misaki didn’t drop the firecracker before the fuse ran out then she would wind up blowing her hand off or something equally gruesome. That would be quite troublesome to injure her hand in such a way but she was confident that she could pull off such a stunt. Plus it was an excuse to go dance although they would get to that eventually regardless. Misaki not dancing at some point during the night would end in a very hyper tiny Japanese girl possibly tearing up the pavement of the roads in Death City with her Vespa on the way home.

In his mind Dion was pondering what the best way to disperse the firecrackers onto the dance floor would be but was having a bit of a problem deciding. There were so many options that he didn’t know which one to choose! It all depended on what kind of dispersal they wanted really. They could go for flashy and wait for the firecrackers to nearly go off then throw them in the air. Or there was a more stealthy option of rolling them onto the dance floor while looking inconspicuous. Also there was the possibility of just throwing them in the air and letting them rain down on the poor unsuspecting crowd of dancers.
Running off of the rain idea Dion’s mind took a turn for the elaborate approach of him stuffing the firecrackers into his pockets and transforming into his weapon form. From there Misaki could hurl him into the ceiling and he could revert back to human form, light the firecrackers and release them. A lot of work for a simple prank that could be done in a much easier manner. Luckily he was brought out of his overly active mind palace by his meister’s suggestion.
Much simpler ideas than what he was coming up with. At least hearing her concepts helped put his into a perspective. They should go for the more secretive approach as to avoid detection by the teachers at least. It would be rather sucky if they got caught and kicked out so early, and over such a minor prank. It would be better to remain out of the limelight for now and save any major eye catching pranks for the end of the dance so they could go out with a bang! Be that a pun or not the intention was certainly up for debate.
Hearing his meister’s next idea got him thinking about it as well. It seemed like a good idea and definitely would help with the whole stealth aspect that they were going for. Sneak into the crowd and drop the firecracker without anyone being any the wiser. That way they could just blend into the sea of people and be just another set of faces when the thing went off. Not like they would be free of all blame if someone actually tried to figure out who the culprit was. That was what blaming Bang for all things explosion related was for.
Knowing the rainbow rocket launcher wouldn’t terribly care if he pinned the blame on her gave them a decent alibi if they were questioned. Dion wasn’t as dense as to think that would fix everything however and knew that if he did a certain living rainbow would find some way to get revenge on him. No need to worry though, all that stuff was only possibilities of what could happen. Having plans always was helpful though so he kept the ideas in the back of his head. But enough about the future, onto the present!
”Firecracker ninjas sounds like a great idea! It’s also probably one of better ways if we don’t want to get caught.”

It seemed Dion was on board for the ninja approach to the impending firecracker fiasco. Looking out on the dance floor, there was a good number of people jumping around and swaying this way and that to provide ample coverage for her and Dion to migrate across without being noticed. There was also enough of a crowd that there would be a huge reaction at sudden ops and sparks happening beneath their feet which would be well worth it. Misaki could practically hear the shrieking already, more from the girls than the boys of course. The looks on their faces would be priceless. She could tell the grin on her face was nothing short of deranged, but she didn’t care. It was in her nature to be a bit deranged now and again if not completely nuts. If anything, Dion being with her only encouraged such antics.
Misaki was rather proud of herself for the way she’d snuck the firecrackers and lighter required for such pranks in as well. There were enough ruffles under her skirt to hide just about anything, but she’d loosely sewn two firecrackers and a lighter into the lacey stuff for easy access. Not only were they hidden from view, but she could also reach them without too much fuss or awkwardness. To anybody around her, it would just look like she was adjusting her skirt and given the setting, such things were to be expected. There was not a girl present at the dance that wouldn’t at some point have to mess with how her dress was sitting; it was just something girls did. Luckily for Misaki it was the perfect reuse. Looking to Dion, she grinned,
”Sounds like we’ve got ourselves a plan then!”
He was right after all. This plan was by far the one that was least likely to get them caught. There were many people on the dance floor after all; any of them could turn out to be the culprit. Never mind the fact that she would likely be very obviously gleeful about the firecrackers, probably giggling in a corner somewhere. Hopefully the chaperones wouldn’t notice. Holding her hand out to her Weapon, Misaki nodded towards the dance floor,
“Well then, shall we dance?”

The more he thought about it the more the idea of setting off firecrackers at the Snow Ball grew on him. Not that the idea wasn’t awesome to start with but it just seemed to get better the more he thought about it. Of course there was the reaction of the other students who were attending with no idea that firecrackers would be exploding around their feet. Plus there was the lovely irony that was an item used to celebrate the summer festivities of the fourth of July in the winter month of December. Maybe not something of interest by itself but it was a nice addition to the prank.
With Misaki’s confirmation the plan was set and could be put into motion. Inconspicuously venturing into the crowd and releasing the minor explosives would be their best option and probably the most fun anyway. Acting like everyone else and putting on fake mask of shock when the things went off. Shame it wasn’t a masquerade like the last dance the school had, Dion would have loved to put on the attire and persona of a jester again. Alas he would have to make do without the disguise and simply prank people as himself.
In a total worst case scenario they would either end up having to leave or get detention. Leaving wasn’t any major issue as long as the mischief was managed. As far as getting detention went it wasn’t like they were unfamiliar with this turn of events. Luckily they would be spared from any Shinigami chops, as of yet Kidd had not taken up that particular practice of his father. Noticing the prompt from his meister it was time to begin the planned shenanigans.
”Lets.”
Considering Misaki was the one with the firecrackers and he was just there to add to the distraction there was nothing to worry about. Taking Misaki’s hand he moved them both onto the dance floor so the fun could begin!

As Dion took her hand and the two invaded the dance floor, Misaki couldn’t stop the wicked grin that spread across her face. There was also a distinct fluttering feeling in the pit of her stomach, but she paid it no mind. She had other things to worry about, like causing chaos and disorder. This prank was all about timing. Set the firecrackers off too soon and they would likely be caught. However if she waited too long or was quick enough about it someone may notice her fiddling with the lighter. There was no doubt in her mind that they could pull this off, though. She and Dion had beaten the pulp out of a crazed, scalpel-wielding Australian, they could do anything!
Misaki’s thoughts briefly strayed to her memories of the last dance Shibusen had held. The masquerade had certainly been interesting; impromptu make outs from bang aside. She hadn’t pulled any pranks at that one, though. Thinking back on it, she couldn’t figure out why. Everyone had been in costume, nobody would have known it was her, especially since she’d actually straightened up and acted like her parents’ version of what a proper daughter was for once. Not that this had lasted, of course. Dion had been present at the masquerade as well, although they hadn’t danced together. They could make up for that now, though and Misaki was glad for it.
As the two danced and came closer towards the middle of the crowd, Misaki paid attention to just how many people were around them. She needed to be absolutely sure they wouldn’t get caught. Prior to the dance she’d temporarily thought of cherry bombs, but those were a bit extreme and could actually hurt somebody. Not that firecrackers couldn’t hurt, but sparks were fairly easy to avoid after all. Misaki wasn’t interested in hurting people; she was interesting in seeing them lose their minds over a few tiny explosions. That and the plastic eyeballs that would be put in the punch bowl at some point, that would also be a riot. There was always one person who screamed because they were too dumb to realize they were fake.
The people around them were completely oblivious to what would happen once a few more minutes had passed. They were more focused on their dance partners than the thought firecrackers possibly exploding beneath their feet. Misaki assumed this wasn’t a normal thought anyway, but then normal was boring. She supposed that she shouldn’t focus all of her attention on the prank. Dion deserved some too; after all, he was her partner in crime after all. Looking up at her Weapon, Misaki smiled,
“So, how are you on this fine evening?”

Even though they were plotting for something bigger Dion still found the act of dancing with Misaki to be fun. It was the first time the two of them had danced together despite this being the second dance at Shibusen that they had both attended. The opportunity simply had not presented itself before even during similar conditions. He had heard that some teams used dancing as a way to synchronize their wavelengths better, it seemed like a helpful aid for resonance, but Dion and Misaki had never taken on that practice. Still it was an interesting experience that Dion could see the merit in.
Progressing deeper into the crowd of people their plan was advancing rather smoothly. Not that he expected that there would be any sort of issue with it but it was always nice to be correct. Soon enough they could set off the firecrackers and watch as everything came together. While awaiting things to come Dion happened to notice that the snow seemed to avoid them and the others that were dancing, probably to avoid having a constant barrage of snowflakes falling onto those who didn’t want them. He figured that would be inconvenient if snow was falling onto bare skin after all. Dion also noticed how despite the falling snow the floor did not feel wet. A great idea in retrospect so there wouldn’t be any injury from tripping, at least caused by the snow instead of general clumsiness.
Seeing his meister smile at him he returned with one of his own. Talking wouldn’t make them any more conspicuous and actually might help them blend in, unless they were talking about the prank or things related to it of course. ”I’m fine, how about yourself?” Continuing to dance their way into the center of the crowd the time for the chaos grew closer.

If she hadn’t already been dancing, Misaki would have been fidgeting all over the place with how excited she was. The firecrackers were probably the best idea she’d had in a while, and dancing with Dion made her more excited if anything. She felt a bit giddy as well although she wasn’t sure why. Still, the wicked grin on her face was an unmistakable omen that shit was about to go down, it was just a matter of when. For now she was keeping her attention o her Weapon. The longer the talked, the less suspicious they’d seem since she was sure every chaperone present probably knew about her tendency to wreak havoc wherever she went,
“I’m fantastic as always! Although I think that may change to amazing once we liven this place up a bit.”
There was rarely a moment when Misaki felt anything less than the epitome of energetic and hyper, but then again at the moment she was more riled up than she would be on an average day. She’d been presented with the perfect place for pranking, after all. Even better was that her partner in crime was with her. Yes, everything was just fantastic. Misaki was quite confident things could only get better since there wasn’t much chance for error unless they made themselves painfully obvious with the firecrackers and such. She didn’t intend for that to happen, though, so it was very unlikely.
As they danced, Misaki briefly glanced around to see if she could spot Nat or bang. She knew that there was no way either of the girls would miss the dance for the world. She couldn’t see them currently, but there was no doubt that they were there. Misaki paid it no more thought than that. They’d probably make their presence known in due time. Something else that was starting to bug her was the stupid fluttery feeling she kept feeling in the pit of her stomach. There was no reason for her to be nervous at all, she’d pulled countless pranks before. Could she and Dion get caught? Sure, but that certainly wasn’t going to stop her. She was used to detention by now; it was really no big deal. The only thing she could think of that was mildly worrisome was the fire hazards she would be dropping onto the dance floor, but she knew she was quick enough to move out of the way. She supposed she was just being silly.

Hearing her response to his question Dion grinned at his partner. Smirk on his face he shook his head a few times while moving into the center of the dance floor. Returning his gaze to Misaki he grinned.
“Yeah once things get started I’m sure the atmosphere will just blast to life.”
Bad puns aside Dion was sure things would become more fun once they had unleashed their little spark of havoc. Certainly at the very least they would get to see all the fun reactions of shock and such from the unexpecting victims. Trying not to laugh will be the hard part but it would be worth it to see all the expressions. The frenzy caused by the event might even give the rest of the ball a feeling of uneasiness to add to the fun. Hoping for a nice layer of paranoia Dion need simply wait for things to get started and enjoy the fallout.

Misaki snickered at Dion’s comment. Blast, that was a good one. Puns alluding to explosives aside, a quick glance around determined to Misaki that now was the time to start sparks flying. She and Dion were well into the crowd of partying Shibusen students, all completely unsuspecting of the genius prank about to be bestowed upon them. They could thank her later. Or write her hate mail, either or. Misaki didn’t really care; she had fire power to focus on. Getting to the firecrackers wasn’t all the difficult. To anyone, it would just look like she was adjusting the ruffles of her skirt.
She tugged the lighter and firecrackers free from the loose stitching she’d used to secure them to the fabric. Holding her hands out of sight, she leaned a bit closer to her Weapon and whispered to him,
“Get ready to dance out of here like a maniac.”
Sure, they had a few seconds to make a clean getaway, but better safe then sorry. Misaki didn’t particularly feel like winding up on the receiving end of one of her own pranks, that would definitely suck. No sparks flying towards her tonight, thank you very much. Working quickly to avoid being spotted, she lit the fuses and then let the firecrackers drop to the floor. The tiny Japanese girl tucked the lighter down the front of her dress and then grinned wickedly at her Weapon,
“Let’s get the hell outta Dodge!”
That being said, Misaki side-stepped the burning fuses and made to dance straight out of the crowd. They’d make it out before the firecrackers went off, she knew that much. She was more surprised nobody could hear the hissing of the fuses, but then the music likely drowned out the suspicious sound. The hard part would be managing not to cackle like a comic book villain once the fuses ran out and the screaming started, but she had faith in herself that she could manage to stifle her laughter to just a few giggles until she and Dion were in a safer place to laugh their asses off about their brilliance.
