A Strong Body

Appearance: Virgil has fair skin and can be easily identified by his purple hair and eyes. The boy has a lean body and works out in order to maintain it despite all the food he tends to eat. Being the happy-go-lucky person that he is, Virgil always holds himself up high and walks with a bit of a bounce in his step. You may even be able to find him whistling a jaunty tune from time to time.
His aforementioned purple hair is rather messy but not completely unkept. Rather, it is spiky and sticks up in several places. It is medium in length, being a few inches away from the base his neck, and he usually lets the bangs hang wherever they like only occasionally brushing them out of his face.
His wardrobe consists of mostly purple, black, grey, and other dark colors. Virgil’s favorite outfit is made up of a black jacket accompanied by a purple shirt, and cool grey pants. No matter what he wears he always has his signature purple scarf that is old and a little tattered. He insists the tears just give it more character. He isn’t too picky when it comes to footwear and just settles on simple sneakers or boots.
Height: 5 feet 8 inches
Weight: 150 pounds
Fighting Style: Due to his more peaceful personality and the fact the he turns into a shield, Virgil is known to fight rather defensively. He will focus more on blocking than actively striking out against his opponent and often tries to knock his enemies off balance or find a clear weak spot before launching any sort of proper offensive. Virgil also values balance and tries his hardest to stay firmly rooted to the ground while taking hits.
Another thing one will notice about Virgil’s fighting style is that his playful nature remains painfully evident. The boy loves to taunt and joke around with his opponent, even in the heat of battle. Just because it’s a fight doesn’t mean he can’t still have fun, right? Of course, it’s that very mentality that ends up putting him in harm’s way. Sometimes Virgil can get a little too worked up over his jokes and not take the battle seriously. In fact he often treats fighting as a game of sorts and doesn’t always consider the consequences of his actions.
Personality: Virgil is a very happy and jovial person, to put it shortly. He is always telling jokes and loves meeting all kinds of new people. Some might find him a bit annoying but he doesn’t let things like that bother him. In fact if someone is acting like a sourpuss then Virgil will just have to be extra nice until they eventually come around. The boy just likes making others smile however he can.
He also tries to be the best friend that he can possibly be. Whether you need someone to talk to about your problems or just want to hang out, Virgil has your back. He makes sure that he gets to know as much as he can about all his friends or just people in general. After all he can’t call himself a true friend unless he knows you well enough, right?
As previously stated Virgil enjoys telling jokes. Yes, it seems like the young boy is always thinking of clever new quips, puns, and any other manner of jokes to tell. He isn’t a very serious person and finds people who are to be undeniably boring. The way he sees it, why should you spend your whole life turning your nose up at everything when you could be having fun?
People may also notice how polite Virgil is. He was taught from an early age to respect others and makes sure he follows the lessons he’s learned. Though, despite how nice and polite the boy can be, Virgil is also a little irresponsible. Since he’s always kind of floating through life Virgil doesn’t concern himself much with the future or even the past, preferring to live in the now. As such he doesn’t always think before he acts.
Another one of Virgil’s quirks is that he absolutely adores food. He specifically enjoys eating sweets such as different kinds of candy, chocolate, and especially ice cream. The one true way to his heart is to give him a nice banana split sundae complete with sprinkles, whipped cream, and a cherry on top.
Inside the Soul
Weapon form: Virgil has the ability to transform into a purple metal shield adorned with golden spikes on the bottom and in the middle. A black oval dome is inlaid upon the center, with a six inch spike jutting outwards from the middle. Said oval is surrounded by a larger black and gold oval that is purely decoration.
The shield's outer rims are also black. The bottom rim features four small spikes that are each two inches in length while the three large spikes are four inches. The six golden spikes on the face of the shield are also four inches apiece. The midpoint of the two inward bevels on the sides is one and a half feet making the length of the shield about three feet from top to bottom. Sketch by Direbolt
Partial Form: For his partial form, Virgil’s right arm transforms into a shield starting from his elbow. This shield is the top half of his full weapon form and is one and a half feet across as well as from top to bottom. The three spikes from his full form remain and are each four inches long. He can't move his elbow while his partial form is activated but he can still move the rest of his arm.
Resonances: N/A
Out of your Mind
Strengths: 1. Good Balance 2. High Stamina 3. High Endurance
Weaknesses: 1. Strategically Inept 2. Slow (in general) 3. Lack of Combat Skills
Hobbies: In his free time Virgil can often be found reading. In fact he is quite the bookworm, always finding new novels then spending hours reading and analyzing them. His favorite genre is non other than horror. As a young boy he always loved reading the classics such as Dracula and Frankenstein. Once Virgil got older he included movies in his list of hobbies. He, of course, enjoys the adaptations of his favorite books the most. While watching a movie with some friends every once in awhile is fun, nothing beats chilling out with a good book.
Virgil also dabbles into cooking every now and then. Being the lover of food that he is, Virgil is constantly looking up different recipes and experimenting with many different types of ingredients. It doesn’t always turn out as planned. In fact he’s rather limited when it comes to his cooking skills. He’s by no means the worst but there is certainly room for improvement.
Likes: Reading, telling jokes, making friends, sweets, horror, cooking
Dislikes: Grumps, being bored, hunger, letting others down, sloppy makeouts
Aspirations: Since Virgil is so easy going he hasn’t really thought much about the future or what he wants to do. If anything he’d just like to get to know as many people from Shibusen as he could as well as improve his cooking skills. He might even write his own book someday, who knows?
History: Virgil was born in Cluj-Napoca, a city in the Romanian province of Transylvania. He was an only child meaning his parents tended to spoil him just a bit. He usually got all the toys and games he’d ask for and even some he didn’t. Virgil was always grateful for whatever he got, of course, but honestly wished his parents would just back off. He already knew they loved him but for whatever reason his parents felt the need to overcompensate while raising their son.
Maybe it was to make up for the lack of time his parents tended to spend with him. They both had busy jobs with his father being a businessman who traveled a lot and his mother being a writer, meaning she often absorbed herself into her stories. In a way this was positive for the young Virgil. He loved reading his mother’s books even before they were completely finished. This led to reading becoming one of his favorite pastimes. Because his parents were often working, Virgil spent a lot of time being raised by his grandmother who lived with his family. He and his grandmother shared a strong bond with one another as if they were best friends. The boy always looked forward to her cooking, which not only caused him to love all manner of food, but inspired him to want to learn how to cook himself.
Every now and then he would peek over his grandmother’s shoulder and watch her cook. He’d study all the different kinds ingredients she’d use, how she would prepared them, that sort of thing. For as hard as he tried Virgil could never quite replicate his grandmother’s cooking. It simply just didn’t taste as good.
There was more to their relationship than food, of course. As he found out from an early age, Virgil’s grandparents were once a meister and weapon pair with his grandfather being a demon weapon. Though his grandfather died while Virgil was a baby due to old age, he lived on through the stories Virgil’s grandmother would tell about their adventures. These tales always got the young boy pumped up as he eagerly awaited the day that he would discover his own abilities.
This day came when he was about eleven years old. One day as he woke up Virgil noticed one of his arms felt stiff. When he looked down the boy saw that a shield had replaced his arm. This was it! Finally after all these years Virgil had developed his weapon abilities. The entire family was overjoyed by the revelation, only there was one problem; Virgil had no one to train him. Neither of his parents were weapons as it had skipped his mother’s generation and his father was just a plain human. Of course his grandmother was much too old to train an energetic and spry young boy such as Virgil. As such, Virgil did not receive any training save for what he managed to learn by just messing around with his powers.
For six years Virgil waited until his parents decided to enroll him in Shibusen where he could finally get the training he needed. Before he left, his grandmother gave him a gift. It was his grandfather’s old scarf that he used to wear on missions. Sure it was a little torn up but it would act as a nice memory of his home and family.
Behind the strings
Alias: King of Karp (or just Karp/Karpy for short)
Other characters: Sable Yokota
RP Sample: Well, today was the day. Virgil was finally at the airport waiting for his flight the Death City to be called. The boy was nearly ready to burst at the seams out of sheer excitement. His mind was running absolutely wild as he dreamt of all the things he wanted to accomplish. What kind of people would he meet? What new techniques would he learn? What kind of adventures would he go on? Just who would his weapon meister be?
It was all nearly too much for him and he was honestly starting to become impatent. “Ooh how much longer do you think it’ll be?” Virgil asked. “Calm down son. You’ll be boarding the plane in no time. For now just relax and enjoy our last few moments together. I did take the day off just to make sure I could see you leave.” His father said reassuringly.
“Oh let the boy be excited.” Virgil’s grandmother said. “He is traveling to Shibusen, after all.” Just then a woman called over the loudspeaker signaling that those boarding the flight to Death City had exactly ten minutes. “Oh my I almost forgot!” Said his grandmother as she reached into her bag and brought out a box covered in purple wrapping paper.
“For you, kiddo. I figured you’d need some sort of good luck charm to help you with your studies.” The old woman explained with a smile on her face. When Virgil unwrapped the box and opened it he saw a lovely dark violet scarf. “Wow! Thanks Grandma.” He said holding up the scarf. It was tattered up at the ends and even had a whole or two but that didn’t take away from such a nice gift. “Yep, that there was your grandfather’s scarf. The old man use to wear that thing all the time. I hope you get just as much use out of it.”
Once again the woman over the loudspeaker called out. This time she warned that only five minutes remained until the flight to Death City departed. “Looks like that’s my cue. Thanks again, Granny.” With that Virgil said his final goodbyes to his family and ran off to catch his plane. The next chapter in Virgil’s life was about to begin.

Alright only one thing needs some tweaking. Partial Form: Firstly state which arm he can transform. From what you have it seems like his partial is half his full form starting at the elbow. This is fine but specify that it is half of his full form and describe how big his partial is. Also if his partial starts at his elbow how mobile is his partial form? Can he still move his elbow or is it locked when he is in partial? Just clear this up and he should be good.

Thanks for the feedback.
