Lucia had been waiting all month for this night. With a full moon out, the lighting was absolutely perfect for what she had in mind. As she trekked along the path that wound through the forest, the moonlight shifted and danced with the shadows of the foliage above. The young meister could hardly contain her excitement as she quickened her pace.
The idea had come to Lucia on her last nighttime outing in the woods. There was a stream just a little ways in that had been perfect for a drawing she had been considering for awhile. When she had found it, the light hadn't been right. With only a half moon already fading away to its next cycle, the visibility wasn't bright enough for what she had in mind. Her patience had been rewarded, though, for as she approached the stream everything seemed to glow with the pale blue light from the full moon.
Lucia paused for a moment to take it all in. There was the calming sound of the bubbling stream, the rustling of the leaves in the trees around her, and the occasional call from the native wildlife, but it all only registered in her left ear. It was a strange way to take in the world, but she found it calming, nonetheless. A nighttime drawing session was a rare treat for her, and this night was no exception. Everything was exactly how she wanted it to be. After a minute, she finally took a seat by the edge of the stream and began rummaging through her bag. She pulled out an old sketchbook first: its edges were bent and the leather binding was beginning to peel away, but there was still plenty of space inside for at least another two weeks' worth of drawings as far as Lucia could guess. Then came her box of colored pencils. Everything was neatly separated by its basic colors, a rainbow for Lucia to choose from when she decided to detail her work.
Finally she opened her notebook and opened it to the project that was her focus of the night. She had already taken care of sketching the figure in the drawing – a young woman leaning on the sword at her side. All she had to finish now was the background and the coloring. And the face. Lucia had been neglecting faces lately; for some reason she just wasn't able to get them to work on anything she drew. Her eyes took her progress in for a moment before she grabbed a pencil and began to sketch the background for her figure. A moonlit stream was going to be a challenge, but Lucia felt like she needed this one. It would have been dull to stay locked up in her dorm all the time, anyway. As she became more and more focused on her drawing, she began to softly hum to herself. She had left her mp3 player at the dorms, but making up her own music still seemed to have the same calming effect as any other source, so she continued to sink more and more into her work as the minutes ticked away. Misaki needed to clear her head. Morning runs were generally more her style; they fit into her schedule better. They woke her up and got her energized for whatever the day had to throw at her, especially before school. But with all the noise clouding her thoughts, she’d been finding it more and more difficult to fall asleep lately. All the tiny Japanese girl could usually accomplish was an hour or so of tossing and turning before giving up to insomnia and switching the lights back on. Pushing back her feelings, the fight with Dion, and the sorry excuse for reconciliation had her oddly energized this time, though. Sitting still made her feel wrong, so when sleep hid from her again; Misaki hit the moonlit streets and ran at a pace she could handle towards the forest. The pathways were beautiful, but then again it was a full moon. It was still beautiful in its own way, though Misaki couldn’t quite shake the feeling of unease she got looking at it. It was still up there, alive and waiting. Picking up her pace a bit, she shook her head and tore her eyes away from it. Don’t think about it. You don’t need to worry more, you need to focus and get your head back on straight! Her leg was nearly healed. It ached a bit from the exercise, weeks of being on crutches holding her speed back quite a bit, but it wasn’t anything Misaki couldn’t handle. The important thing was that she no longer needed crutches, that she could stand on her own two feet again. A bit of a limp lingered in her gait, and it still felt strange if she put her right foot wrong. That stupid shark freak had really done a number on her lower leg, but Misaki definitely felt better. The knowledge that they’d also won that fight helped a great deal as well. A vague smile tugged at her lips. With the night air beginning to make her ears sting from the breeze as it whipped past her, Misaki slowed. She needed to pace herself. It wouldn’t do any good to heal and then re-injure herself by pushing it. Gradually dialing back until she was walking, she bent and rested her hands on her knees, taking a moment to just let herself breathe and let the world pass by. Few sounds reached her ears. Her heightened pulse in her ears, the sound of her trying to catch her breath, the wind through the leaves of the trees surrounding her, and…humming? Misaki lifted her head and gave where she’d stopped a once over. Now that she focused, there was water too. Curiosity urging her forward, she walked slowly and with a slight limp towards the sound. Fairly nearby sat a blonde girl that looked to be around her age, sketchbook in hand and pencils laid out beside her. A fellow artist then? Granted Misaki’s was all conceptual for the clothing she made. Regardless, she appeared quite focused. Misaki wondered if she’d even heard her approach. She also realized rather slowly that she happened to be on the other side of the stream with the moonlight shining right on her. Oops. Hoping she hadn’t messed up the girl’s view, Misaki gave a half grin and a wave and side-stepped until she was sure she wasn’t obstructing whatever the girl happened to be drawing, which wasn’t far at all. She needed a break before she kept on, so she got closer to the water and knelt beside it, watching it ripple and bend over the rocks.

Dreamland, that's where Zane currently was.
Zane was in the world where he dreamed up as a kid. He was living the life of a great fighter, traveling the world and gaining recognition for his fighting skills. Wherever he was at, people would come just to watch him. Yea in his dreams he was a attention hog who he wanted EVERYONE to be amazed by him, but still dream Zane didn't let his dream fame get to his head, he still treated his fan girls with respect and didn't take his fame to far.
As in every dream that he had like this, there was always a fight with a single random person. Each time was different, it varied from his brother, father, to some random kid he saw in class the other day. So the current fight was against some no named person that he probably saw in the city earlier, as the fight was happening of course Zane would be winning, but sadly right before Zane would make the final blow, his dream turned out the same. As his left hand when to punch it would spontaneously transform into a blade and stab his opponent, who would all of a sudden just vanish, then the crowds would just scream in horror yelling out "Monster".
Then POOF, he would wake up, and that's exactly what happened.
Zane awoke to find himself sitting against a tree looking up and the moon. He had fallen asleep in the forest after an intense workout day, he only meant to close his eyes for a few seconds before leaving, sadly a few seconds turned into a few hours. After taking a deep breathe and realizing its wait late since the moon was out he proceeded to stand up and grab his things. Zane had been in the forest almost everyday for training, so he knew how to get back home, even in the dark. He would follow a stream to a certain rock her marked, and from there he would know how to get back home.
After a few minutes he found that stream and began to follow it. As we walked along the left side of it his attention was caught by the moon gleaming off the clam stream, as he looked at the water he also was looking at his own reflection, just staring at it like some weirdo, but he didn't care. After a while of walking while staring at the water something caught his attention down stream. Two girls on each side of the stream, both looking at the water.
"Were they lost? How did they get out here? What are they even doing here this late"
Those were some of the things racing through Zane's head. For a moment he paused, he noticed that he had seen them around the school before, so they were fellow students. The polite thing to do is to go over and see if everything is alright, but he tried to figure out how to do it in a non-creeping kinda way. Because who wouldn't be creept out by a guy they don't know randomly come up to them in the dark forest where no one cane here them right?

Everything seemed to be going well for Lucia. She was in her zone, humming along to her own little tune, patiently drawing each line on the page, and glancing up occasionally at her reference to make sure everything was perfect. It was all going quite well until she glanced up at the stream and nearly dropped the colored pencil she had been using. Her humming immediately stopped. There was another girl there, shuffling awkwardly to the side and waving. Why hadn't she heard the girl walking? Oh. Right. Lucia rubbed her right ear as she understood why the girl had managed to make it so close to her unnoticed. She thought she would have been fine leaving her deaf side towards the stream. The muffled sound of water always seemed more pleasing to her than the full brunt of it, anyway. Instead, it had left her unguarded against...whoever this girl was.
After a moment of looking completely perplexed, Lucia looked down at her drawing. Luckily her initial shock hadn't been enough for her to make a mistake. Her progress was as pristine as ever. Still, she couldn't risk any mistakes while this girl was around, so she put the pad to the side. Just as she was about to speak, though, she caught sight of another person in the area. A boy. Lucia looked from one to the other, boy to girl, back and forth. What was with this forest tonight? Did the full moon just happen to attract people to the forest? Not just any random people, though. As Lucia looked at them a little more, she started to realize that they were, in fact, Shibusen students. That made everything even stranger. Was there something wrong in the forest? Had they been sent out to address some kind of Kishin activity she didn't know about? Doubtful. These two didn't look like they had a goal in mind. In fact, they looked kind of lost. She activated her Soul Perception just in case, but both of them came across as normal – one was a meister and the other was a weapon. She blinked and their souls disappeared. Still, she was a little on edge. Although they were students, she didn't know them, per se. She drew her knees in to her chest and wrapped her arms around them as her own sort of protective stance against the strangers then finally managed to squeak out, “Who are you?”
This was turning into such a weird evening. Tag: Misaki/Zane Words: 415

Hearing a squeak of a voice, Misaki lifted her head. So the blondie finally noticed her? Took her long enough. With her usual wicked grin tugging at her lips, Misaki was definitely tempted to screw with her, but decided not to. Given that she wasn’t quite back to her usual batting average of being completely awesome, she didn’t want to risk starting a fight, even though the other girl hardly looked the type.
But there was someone else. As Misaki stood up and rested on hand on her hip preparing to answer, she caught sight of another in her peripheral vision. Turning her head, a boy that looked to be around their age stood not far off. Crowded in the woods, apparently. Who would’ve known? Misaki recognized both of them from around school; one of the newer One stars if she wasn’t mistaken. Being that her and Dion were so close to Two star status she really hadn’t paid much attention since they’d be moving up and leaving others behind. Even so, there were now two introductions to be made now that she knew she had, unfortunately, disturbed the girl even after trying to let her be.
Giving a more confident wave and shifting her weight to the hip that wasn’t attached to her still healing leg, Misaki addressed both. “My name’s Misaki Saito, who the hell are you?” Her tone was entirely playful, not meant to be insulting in any way. The night air really was doing wonders for her mood, or maybe it was just being able to finally get out of the apartment after the long stint of being confined to crutches and sorting out her feelings.
Waiting for either of the two to answer, she took to being more animated. She was still technically out on a run, and abruptly stopping entirely would only bring aches and pains later, especially after doing nothing but moping on the couch for weeks. Misaki stretched, lifting her arms over her head and closing one eye as she looked up at the demented moon. Okay, maybe not a good idea. She cast her eyes back to the two strangers quickly, preferring to look at them rather than the grim reminder.

As Zane stared at the girls with the feeling of them being lost out there, he noticed the girl across the stream who was sitting down looking and him as well as the girl who was in front of him on the same side of the stream. Afterwards she drew her knees together and began to hug them, almost as if she was in a scared or nervous type position. Then a small sentences was spoken, Zane being kinda far away was unable to hear exactly what the girl said. He was only able to make out the word "you".
Unable to hear her, he shifted his view to the girl in front of him, her being closer to him more so then the girl across the stream, he watched and waited to see her response to whatever the shy girl said. As he looked at this other girl he began to walk slowly towards her, as he did she looked right at him, when she did Zane stopped walking. Getting a good look at the face of girl it was clear that he recognized her, she was a student that he seen around class. She began to move and then she said
"“My name’s Misaki Saito, who the hell are you?”
She then began to be active, doing stuff that appeared to be stretching, not really staying still. Zane thought to himself that since she said her name, did the girl across the stream say something along the lines of her name then ask who are you? Was it directed to both of them, or did the 2 girls already know each other and were asking him who he was? Either way, he paused and being a bit confused he didn't really know how he was going to respond. Since they were both from school, would it have been safe for him to approach them? So many different scenarios popped in his head. Zane wasn't great at being social, so this was going to be a challenge for him.
He took a deep breath and began walking toward Misaki, once he was a few feet from her he stopped, he looked at both girls and opened his mouth, nothing came out... after a few moments he quickly closed his, he took a quick breathe and with his eyes closed and with his hand up almost like he was going to wave it but not actually wave, he said "I'm Zane Arterius".
He waited a few moments, he put his hand down and opened his eyes, to look at the girls, facing Misaki he said is a soft low voice "It's....It's nice to meet you Misaki" He turned toward the girl across the stream, and with a loud enough voice so she can hear, he nervously said "I didn't catch your name miss?". He shifted his body in a position where he was able to see them both, that way it wouldn't seem like he was giving all his focus on just one of them.
