Ruby barely held back a string of curses as she ran the scratch marks on her hand under a cold tap. Damn that hellish feline! Her friend Lucy was a dear to be sure, but her cat was an entirely different matter. Hades only liked Lucy and therefor had seen Ruby coming and apparently thought it was time to jump ship. It had been fine pet sitting him for the first few days, he steered clear of her in favor of hiding upstairs or in the laundry baskets by the dryer. Unfortunately, that hadn’t lasted. Ruby’s peace of mind had been completely shattered upon finding that he’d torn through one of the screen in the windows upstairs. The fat beast had then somehow made his way down and was no loose in the neighborhood.
Heaving an aggravated sigh, she withdrew her injured hand from beneath the water and rummaged around in the cabinets for a few band-aids. Hades may have been fight and didn’t look like much of a vicious hellion, but that was exactly what he was. Finding what she was looking for, she quickly slapped them on and ventured back out to wait for the students to arrive. She’d given them the address of Lucy’s house, all Ruby had to do was sit outside and wait for them to show up. Trying to shake the sting out of the new scratches on her hand, Ruby tromped out the front door to sit on the stoop, ignoring the rush of heat from the Nevada sun.
This was a mess she didn’t need. Running a hand through her red hair, dark eyes scanned the yard in the hopes that maybe the fat cat would wander home on his own. There was no sign of the tabby, so she sighed once again and held her head in her hands. She’d run into him that morning tried to foolishly catch him with her bare hands, and now only had a few scratch marks to show for it. She figured that since the feline had so eloquently wedged himself in the crawl space under the house that perhaps he’d decided home was where he belonged, but the violent protests he put up at being taken back inside had proved the young woman wrong.
Raising her head, Ruby tapped a hand against the step she sat upon as she waited for the students to arrive. Maybe she ought to give them a sheet to throw over him. It would at least shield them from those claws of his. She considered herself lucky to not have been bitten yet, though Hades was more swipey than bitey thankfully. She supposed she would ask when they got there. Whether they needed to capture the cat with their hands or with some other method, Ruby did not envy them in the slightest.

Itsuki Kaede How did you know if I never toldYou found out Itsuki had just walked out of the house before he was met by the sweet smile of Winterlynn standing at his gate. He shoved his right hand in his pocket and took out his pack of cigarettes. He slid one out skillfully and lit it like a pro. He took a long drag and blew it slowly out of his nose. He looked down at the girl and patted her head before walking down the street with her at his side. "We gotta go to this girl's house and look for her friend's cat. His name is Hades and we live close." He filled her in, in case she forgot. She did that a lot but he didn't mind at all. He had a fairly good memory and they fit together well like that.
He smiled as he felt around his left pocket, Piebald flicking her little tongue on his skin before wrapping around his hand. He removed his hand from his pocket and let her slither up his arm and snugly wrap around his fore arm. He probably shouldn't have brought her but it was a habit by now. He even took her to school. She never fussed about it, so he didn't feel like she ever needed to stay home. He thought about turning around and putting her back in her tank but opted not to. They were already on their way there and there was no need to start all over again.
He had decided to bring a sack along with them and he handed it to Winter. "We might need this." He spoke only what he needed to. Why add fillers when you just need to say what you need to say and be done with it? He didn't understand that about other people. Winter got it. Or at least he liked to think she did. She sorta talked like him. Small talk. Saying the things that they only thought were important. He Walked calmly down the sidewalk, side by side with his weapon partner. They were almost there. He reached into his right pocket again, putting his cigarette in his mouth before he reached in, and felt around for a small piece of paper. He opened it up and looked at the address wrote down on it. Yeah. Only a few minutes now.I've got a crush on youTAGS: Winterlyyn and Neophyte blah blah blah~ OUTFIT: In main pic OTHER: Wooooo~ Goin on a mission~ WORDS: 388This template was made by esa of RPG-D Lyrics by Nero

I don't remember being on the floor I don't remember how it smelled I don't remember how they've been there before I don't remember when I fell ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She was still rubbing sleep from her eyes when he patted her head. She couldn't help but purr at the pat, too tired to keep herself from trying to be too weird. She opened her eyes and stretched putting her hands in the air following behind him. She was of course bare foot, she had actually forgotten to put shoes on today, not that she really cared that much it was nice. "Demon cat. If it scratches me I'm biting it," she muttered pulling on her sleeve.
It wasn't that she didn't like cats, but she didn't think that a cat named Hades would be the nicest little thing in the world. Taking the bag that was handed to her she blinked confused and looked at the boy that was her partner and then back down to the sack. "I thought it was letting the cat out of the bag," she said confused wondering why they wanted to put the cat into a bag. "Can't we just leash it?"
She knew that you could leash a dog, and a cat was close to a dog. Obviously not the same species, but still it wouldn't be able to run off once leashed...right? Maybe people didn't least cats because they clawed at the stupid leash? Whatever the reason she thought that a temporary leash would be better than a sack. Winterlynn began playing with the stones that were along the road. She giggled as she kicked one and it hit another. It was nice having simple things to do that were highly entertaining.

The sun was in her eyes. Ruby slouched and held a hand to her forehead as a shield to keep the light from hitting her face. It was too early for it to be so bright, but then she shouldn’t have been surprised. It was Nevada after all. Thankfully the house wasn’t far at all and the students would have no issue finding it. It was on a corner and the lawn was barren of any overwhelming blooms or bushes that may have hidden the numbers indicating the address. Ruby lowered the hand she’d used to block to the sun and regarded the new scratches along her palm. Damned cat.
Something sharp hit her ankles from the space between the steps and Ruby all but jumped out of her skin. Squealing, she scrambling to her feet, stumbled, and caught herself on the short banister. Hearing a distinctly feline growl, a grimace appeared on her face. What, she couldn’t even sit outside now? Evidently the whole house belonged to Hades, including the front steps. Feeling highly vindictive, the redhead hopped up the few front steps to the porch and proceeded to stomp her feet, not even caring how insane she looked. She heard movement and assumed she’d scared him further under the house.
The students may need to know that, she realized. Hurrying down to the yard, she gingerly got down on her hands and knees alongside the house, peering down into the small crawl space hidden by crisscrossed little fences. Supposedly it kept the raccoons from getting under the house, but apparently it couldn’t even keep a fat cat from crawling beneath it. Ruby strained her eyes trying to see through the gloom, but she wasn’t about to go back inside to get a flashlight. Spotting the flick of a tail and a flash of reflecting eyes from the corner, she scowled at the feline,
“I see you, you heathen! You better be glad that Lucy’s my best friend or I swear you’d be kitty stew, do you hear me?”
Ruby became highly animated in her scolding of the feline, kicking her feet and everything. Hades seemed entirely unimpressed and waddled further back under the house, heading more towards the backyard. Grumbling, Ruby propped her chin up with her uninjured palm and huffed. The students would happen upon her like this, a young woman driven crazy by pet sitting and half hidden under the house’s crawl space with fresh scratches on the backs of her ankles.

Itsuki Kaede I can’t deny, I’d die without thisMake me feel like a god He let out a small chuckle at what Winter had said. He had to admit, seeing winter biting a cat would be hilarious. He had a feeling that this cat would give them trouble. It's name hinted at that. He could tell this was gonna be a stubborn cat. Probably not very nice, that's why he brought the sack. He turned to Winter and told her, "This cat might need to stay in the bag." He patted her head lightly and smiled.
It was bright out. Itsuki had to squint in order to tell where he was going. It was also getting a little hot. It didn't really bother him much, since he usually wore light clothes. Piebald loved it. She was getting more active, slithering up one arm, around his neck, and down the other. It felt good to know that Piebald was enjoying herself. The weather was getting warmer and she was getting more and more active. She was also eating a lot more.
He shaded his eyes from the sun with his hand, looking at every number on each house. They should be getting close. He heard a girl yelling something close by, something about heathens and kitty stew. Kitty stew didn't sound too appetizing. "Come on, we should hurry." He glanced at Winter before picking up speed, his movement turning into a run. The turned a corner and found the source of the threats. A girl was laying on her stomach, half hidden under the crawl space. Her ankles had small red marks. Probably cat scratches. Itsuki cleared his throat, getting her attention. She backed out from under the house, revealing her red hair, and stood up to greet them. Itsuki was still taller than her. He was always taller. He would be genuinely surprised if he was shorter than someone. " We're here for your cat problems." Itsuki spoke clearly, but in a monotone, and almost soothing voice. His mouth was straight and his face showed no real emotion on it. I don't remember being on the floor I don't remember how it smelled I don't remember how they've been there before I don't remember when I fell ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She didn't comment after that. The light haired girl smiled shyly at the pat to her head again. She was getting used to the touch and didn't mind it. Her parents had done it before when she was living with them, but they did it to hard, causing a headache.
Winterlynn tilted her head as they approached the house and heard a female shouting about making kitty stew. She didn't think that it was a smart to turn a cat into ones dinner, but she wasn't going to comment on it. "Where is the cat?" she asked her hands behind her back and smiling slightly.
It was obvious that the cat had been underneath the porch, or so it seemed since the girl was a little dirty and they had just watched her come out of the crawl space. Then again maybe she as just cleaning underneath it, it was anyone's guess at this point, though since the girl had been yelling at the cat Winterlynn figured that the cat was under there. "Is it under there?" She asked pointing to the crawl space.
She wasn't sure how she felt about chasing a cat to a place that was small even for her and that was saying something. It wasn't so much that she was afraid of small spaces, just that she really didn't want to get stuck in one. The uncomfortable position she could get stuck in or even the thought of getting scrapes along her body, was not appealing. Not to mention her dress would be ruined.
