Tori had gotten up bright and early today to go to the dojo to work out. This was a bit odd for the young meister, the dojo wasn’t a normal place for her to be. But something happened to the girl, something she couldn’t quite figure out on her own. The thing that kept coming to the front of her mind was starting to affect her work at the shop and even her attention in school and Tori wouldn’t stand for something like this. The small Brit had noticed the other day when the madness wavelength was affecting everyone something very odd happened. While it was a miracle in the first place that the madness didn’t take her as strong as the others she saw that her weapon was being affected very strongly by it. In a moment of panic Tori had slapped her weapon across his face in the hopes to bring his back to earth, and the odd this about this was that it had worked. Tori’s slap had given Dante just enough sanity to hold back the madness and while other may think it was just a fluke Tori knew it wasn’t. At the moment of impacted she felt something very off go through her hand and it like her soul purge but it wasn’t. She couldn’t explain it and now that very thought had taken up the girls mind and that was why she was at the dojo to bright and early. Tori had spent the better part of the morning trying to figure out how she got her soul purge to be in an open palm and not a closed fist. She practiced for hours on a dummy trying a closed fist first them moving to open palm and just trying it open palm right off the bat but nothing seemed to work. Tori was so tired by the time noon rolled around. She had used so much of her energy just trying to get her damn soul purge to work the way she wanted it to. She thought it might be best to take a little brake and get some energy back but rather than walk over to a bench and sit down Tori just fell over where she was standing. Her arms where sprawled out above her head. Tori shut her eyes for a few moments while rest her body up.

The other day had been horrible. Apparently some stupid bird looking thing had decided to land in Death City and piss him off. From what he heard the thing showed up, screamed, and left. This would have been fine if he wasn’t in the sound range of the fucking noise! He wasn’t in class but had been returning from it. He had gone home for some practice before his next class. Swinging around his sword before dealing with the commoner idiots tended to make them more tolerable. That was all fine until the screaming hit.
At first it was annoying, then somewhat painful. Levi had ignored it as best he could until the madness kicked in. Nothing happened initially besides him just growing more annoyed by the sound and wishing to kill whatever was causing it. When he started to hear things was when he drew the line. Madness was whatever but hearing the voice of his brother wasn’t what he wanted. Gathering his wavelength he had punched his training dummy and that brought an end to that. Madness dispelled the screaming pissed him off but he dealt with that until it subsided. Annoyed he stayed home and classes were canceled anyway.
Today however he intended to get some real training in. Going for a run earlier he now headed toward the dojo for some light training. Maybe he would run into Irene there and he could get some actual weapon practice in? If not he would just use one of the practice weapons that were available and get some time in with that. Reaching the dojo Levi entered and headed over to the rack of practice weapons. Picking up the best representation of a corseque he could find he headed over to the available dummies and promptly took the weapon in his right hand and stabbed it at the dummy.
It obviously fell over and Levi had to go pick it up but in doing so he spotted the form of Victoria sprawled on the floor. Lifting up the dummy Levi stood to the side of the girl and planted the weapon into the ground. Looking down at her he waited to see if she noticed him before coming to the conclusion that she did not, unfortunate really. Rolling his eyes he lifted up his glasses before trying to get her attention.
”Is the dummy that strong babe? Maybe I should be using this one then.”
That should at the least get her attention off of the floor and onto him. What Tori was doing in the first place was confusing but she must have some sort of reason for it. He would just have to ask her after she got up. Luckily he wasn’t too concerned about his own training as he was already the best at everything.

Tori was enjoying her moment of relaxation her body felt so tired after using all that energy earlier. For her this was a moment to just take in and while she did hear the sounds of someone else come into to dojo she didn’t bother to open her eyes just yet. If they knew her they would come over and talk to her and if they didn’t her hopes where that they would leave her alone. She heard the footsteps move around and come closer at one point, the sound of something falling over and the sounds of the footsteps again. Wait a moment where they getting closer to her? Tori hadn’t bothered to open her eyes just yet but she heard the person stop right by her and place something on the ground but an all too familiar voice filled the air and finely caused her to open her eyes. She looked up at Levi and gave a grown and she moved to arms to hold herself half way up now.
”Yes that dummy kick my bum.”
She finely got up now stretching her arms above her head and then placing them in her normal place, her hand on her hips, as she looked at Levi.
”So at this point I would normally say something alone the line of, can’t I go anywhere is this city without running into you? But if this case this seems like a normal place for you to be.”
She walks back him now and back to the dummy she was working on before balling her hand up into a fist to try and get more energy but nothing really happened. She pulls her left hand up and looks down at it, looking pretty pissed now.
”Damn! How the bloody Hell did I even do that the other day.”
She was muttering to herself ignoring the fact that Levi was even in the room. Well for all of a few moments before she turned around to face him again with a bit of a worried and confused look on her face. At thought as come to the front of her mind and she had to know if Levi had been affected by the madness like the other students. She hadn’t really seen him at school that day and now that it was in the front of her mind she was a little worried.
”Levi the other day, you know when that big bird thing invade the front steps of the school, did you become affected by the madness?
Tori was hoping that he would be honest with her but she also expected for him to say something along the lines of he was to be affected by something like that. That seemed like a Levi thing to say but she waited none the less to hear what he would say to her question.

It only took a moment for Tori to get up after hearing Levi’s voice. Of course anyone would redirect their attention onto him when he did something as great as speaking especially when he addressed someone. Levi stood and waited as the British meister rose from her position on the floor. He was here for a little training but there was nothing here he couldn’t just as well do at his current residence. Mostly it seemed like a shame to possibly wear down his own weapons and such when he could just have the school’s equipment take any damage instead.
He was about to respond to her comment about this being a normal place for him to be but he had found himself in the area on multiple occasions recently. Figuring that gave her statement some sort of validation Levi decided not to respond. Instead he watched as she walked over to the dummy to see what she was trying to do. Seeing her ball her fist but not have anything come of it he put together that she was trying to use soul purge for some reason. The failure was unexpected but Levi assumed she had some reason for it.
Before he could ask her Tori turned to him and asked something stupid. Did he become affected by the madness? What sort of ridiculous notion was that? Of all people Tori should have known better than that. Despite the fact that he had been influenced by it a little he dispelled it so quickly he barely even counted it as existing. All voices he heard aside there was no way he was going to be so weak as to fall to madness. His power was his own, he didn’t need any fucking madness altering that fact and none would.
”Ha, that’s what that noise was? It was a mild annoyance to hear for all of a few seconds but nothing I couldn’t deal with! It will take something a lot stronger than some pathetic madness to affect me.”
The voices were still fresh in his mind but he gave them less than a thought. It didn’t matter what happened with that thing considering it was gone now and he had remained nearly immune to it. Madness was not something he would indulge in and nor would he allow it to alter him in any away. All of his power was his own.
Moving on Levi picked up the spear and moved it to rest over his shoulders. It looked almost comical with him holding such a long weapon nonchalantly but noticing that he held it without any problem and kept it sturdy as he moved toward Tori was less humorous and more a testament to his ability. Moving a little closer he looked between Tori and the dummy to see what was up. ”So babe, annoying madness aside, what are you trying to do with your soul purge?” He didn’t want to dwell on the madness and did find it generally bothersome. They should move onto more important thing like himself and how awesome he was.

Tori’s looked a bit upset by this answer but she was right in her assumption. She turned about around on her heal to face the dummy again both of her hand balled into fist now. She knew he would say something like that but it still pissed her off. She was just a little worried that was all.
”Fine see if I ever worry about you again.”
Her word where hard but they were just muttered under her breath at that point. She muttered a few more things he couldn’t make out and turned her head just slightly to look back at him. She blinked a few times when she saw the weapon over his shoulders and didn’t know whether to laugh or be impressed. Had she tried to do that it would have just made her unbalanced and would have caused her to fall over.
She watched him walk closer to her and she started to shy away from him for a moment before regain her composure. No, now wasn’t the time to go all shy and omg my crush is close to me school girl. Tori was here for a reason and just because Levi had shown up it didn’t change that fact. She looked at him when he ask his question and then looked back own to her hand flexing her fingers a few times before looking back up to him.
”Well that madness you find so annoying is the reason why I am here and why I am working on my soul purge. The other day when that bird thing came to the school I was there. I was one of the first students there and one of the few that didn’t go completely mental from the madness. My weapon on the other hand wasn’t so luck and the madness really got to him. I wasn’t sure what to do so I slapped him.”
Tori looked back down to her hand again and held it up a little bit looking back up to Levi. She still couldn’t explain what had happened that day but she knew it was important and she knew her skills where growing.
”When I hit his face my soul purge did something odd. I knocked him out of the madness for just a few seconds but it was long enough for him to regain his mind on his own. I don’t know how I did it but I came to the dojo today to try and find out but nothing I do seems to be working. I can’t get my soul purge to be used in an open palmed form nor can I get it to have that same affected that it had on my weapon. I just don’t understand what I did that day.”
She looked mildly frustrated now as she dropped her left hand back to her side making it into a fist again. This was just getting bothersome now and she had spent all day on this and still wasn’t any closer to getting the hang of it.

Tori got upset by his answer for some odd reason but Levi didn’t pay too much attention to it. All he had done was tell her what happened without any minor details that didn’t concern her. He did catch her comment but that did nothing to clear anything up. Worry about him? He didn’t need people to worry about him; he needed people to exalt him. It was just a little scream with some madness apparently so he didn’t get what the big deal was. He wasn’t about to let some outside force have any control or influence on him and madness was no exception.
Nothing else she said caught his attention so he deemed it unimportant and didn’t worry about it. He was somewhat curious about her reason for being here in the first place but didn’t care about the little madness incident that had occurred. Had he been there he probably could have just killed the thing but he had not been there so he would never know. A shame but he could live with it, plus he wasn’t thrilled at the idea of madness affecting him and annoying him like the previous wave had.
He stood and listened as Tori told her story of the event. Interesting but he had no regrets about not being there. He wasn’t worried about the madness but the whole thing seemed more of an annoyance to him than anything. Hearing that Tori had dealt with it fine was good though and her slap story was interesting. That would give her a pretty good reason to try and train her soul purge. Looking at a nearby dummy he set down the spear he was holding and walked closer to it.
”Hmm just focus on it babe. Gathering wavelength to a certain place isn’t that hard once you get the hang of it.”
Closing his fist he used his own focus and gathered his wavelength to it. His fist gaining a slight silvery look before he launched a punch at the dummy. His gathered wavelength was released upon contact and the dummy was sent backwards, slamming into another before falling over to the ground. Levi flexed his hand after and looked over at Tori. ”See? Not a problem. It should be similar for getting a soul purge in slap form I would think.”
His impromptu and condensed version of his own training session might prove useful to Tori. He wasn’t going to straight up teach her but he could contribute in his own way.

Tori listen to him as she moved to place her hand on her hips. She wanted to say a very smart ass thing when he told her to just focus it. That is what she had been trying to do all morning and she opened her mouth to say that but the word never came out. Levi had hit the dummy and it crashed into the other one. Tori’s mouth was still open as she gawked a bit. She knew Levi was strong but she had no idea his soul purge was that strong.
”Holy crap.”
She shook her head to snap herself out of it. Now wasn’t the time to gawk he was actually trying to help her out and even if she wanted to say something rude before she held it back. Best not to bit the hand that feeds you.
Looking down at her hand she could only wonder if it could really be that easy. She balled her hand up into a fist and gathered her soul purge. Tori held it for a moment glancing back up to Levi. She looked back down at her hand and focus on it being able to be in an open palm. Slowly she let her fingers unfold keeping her eyes on her hand. She looks a bit shock when her hand was fully opened and the soul purge was there.
”I did it?”
But in the slight moment of her losing her focus the soul purge was lost and this only caused her to become angry again. She was so close to having it and then she lost it again. In her frustration she punched the dummy next to her causing it to sway a bit but didn’t knock it over as Levi had done.
”I had it! It was right there!”
She stamped her foot in rage not really looking at anything at this point. This whole thing was starting to just piss her off more than it should and Tori had a short temper to being with. She took a few deep breath to calm herself down again as she glanced over at Levi now.
”Got any more tips for me? I seems that I am just still not getting the hang of this.”

Hearing Tori’s exclamation Levi’s grin grew. It wasn’t unexpecteed but he still loved people’s shocked reactions to his exploites of excelence. His hand was slightly numb from the soul purge but that was nothing worth reacting to. He still hadn’t fully mastered the ability to control his wavelength but that would fall into place eventually. Until them he just chalked it up as his wavelength being too powerful to be limited and therefore when he did limit it he was only further proving how awesome he was. Of course using his incomplete knowledge to teach Tori would just be another act of his awesomness!
Watching Tori Levi waited to see what she did. Starting with a normal soul purge was a good idea considering he had done the same himself. Now came the part that caused the most problem. She seemed to be doing well enough as he watched her open her hand and keep the soul purge in check on her palm. With her hand fully open it seemed to be working well enough and she viewed as much. Of course until she lost her concentration and it all vanished in an instant. That made sense considering she was trying to exert her wavelength further instead of hold it back like he had.
Her anger was understandable, Levi would feel the same if he ever failed at anything. Levi remained where he was and let her act out her anger on the dummy and floor respectively, using the spear to get a few quick jabs in on another dummy while waiting. He didn’t need to practice in using the weapon so much as remember it. Spears and other longer ranged weapons weren’t fresh in his memory like his sword training was. Looking back at Tori it seemed she had finished and was asking for more advice.
”Do it again.”
Short, simple, and to the point. Levi turned back to the dummy and gave a few more thrust of the spear into it. Getting a better feel for the practice weapon he switched to using only his right hand to deliver a few more attacks to the unfortunate dummy. Turning back to Tori he continued his explanation from earlier.
”You need to get used to using your wavelength like that. Your body still needs to adjust to the shift before it becomes easy. Try again and you should be able to maintain it, maybe even deliver it to the dummy if you do it well.”
Without noticing it he had slipped more into his knight persona than his usual one. Perhaps the weapon in his hand or the fact that he was instructing someone. Either way he gave Tori the advice he had and left it at that, he wasn’t a teacher and wasn’t going to start trying to be one now. If Tori couldn’t get it on her own there wasn’t much else he could do.

Tori had looked down at her hand again after her little fit but at the sound of Levi’s do it again she looked back up to him. She wanted to get upset at the short response but he was right. The only way she was going to get a hang of this new purge was to keep trying. She watched for a moment as he hit the dummy a few times with the staff. It was clear to Tori that he had been trained in several different weapons and while he didn’t seem much like the teaching others type Tori was thankful that he was at least giving her tips.
She turned away for a moment but then turned and looked at Levi very confused. The thing he just said made so much sense and was so helpful it took a few moments for Tori to even proses the words right. She cocked her head to the side for a moment and then looked back at her hand. Balling it back up into a fist she gathered her soul purge there again. This time she put more into her concentration as she opened her hand again.
She closed her eyes for a moment and just held the purge in her open palm. She wanted to just concentrate on how it felt before she did anything with it. Levi was right about her body having to get used to it and it helped that Tori was getting it used to how it felt. She closed her hand again and it vanished opening her eyes she looked back over to Levi.
”You were right I can feel the difference between the two soul purges.”
She turns back to the dummy as gathers the purge in her open palm again and this time is able to deliver it to the dummy. She smacks it across what would be its face. A smile passed over her face as she turns back to Levi.
”Thanks for the tip it really helped out. I didn’t think you where the type of guy to give advice like but I really appreciate it.”
She thought now might be a good time to take a little brake again. She had been working on that soul purge all morning and it was tiring her out. Tori plopped down where she was again leaning back on her hands to prop herself up as she looked up at Levi.
”Don’t mind me I’m just going to watch you for a bit if that is all right.”
Even if he said it wasn’t she wasn’t going to move any time soon Tori’s butt was planted and she had no intention of uprooting it again.

Giving Tori the occasional word of advice between his own practicing was at the least distracting Levi from the mundaneness of the area. Levi still hated using the dojo and the basic commoner weapons inside it but it was still better than needlessly wearing his own equipment. Tori should get the hang of the whole soul purge business soon enough with his expert instructions even if he wasn’t the greatest teacher. There wasn’t that much he could tell her about it anyway considering it was her own wavelength and all. Besides, he didn’t know the specifics of using a soul purge as a slap considering he wouldn’t use it as such.
It seemed she was getting the hang of it without too much difficulty. No surprise considering she had the pleasure of his assistance. Who wouldn’t be more awesome with help from his greatness? The answer was nobody. At the very least she was getting the general idea of it in a decently quick manner so she could figure out all the specifics on her own. She even noticed the progress and responded in kind. Of course he was right; there was never any doubt about that. If she could feel the difference than the whole thing was similar to what he dealt with not terribly long ago.
”Of course, after you get the basics it comes pretty easily.”
At least for him that was true for most things. Once he had the basics for something down, like soul purge or fighting with pole arms, it wasn’t too hard to get better from there. Plus after he got the general idea of something he could add his own flare whatever it was and make it better because it was his. That’s what he’d done with everything and it had worked pretty well so far. Tori’s words of thanks were unnecessary but he wasn’t one to decline praise in any form.
”I’m not, you just were lucky enough to receive my generosity. ”
Her next action was unexpected. Sitting on the floor of one of these buildings was never a thing he would do. The comment about watching him wasn’t unwelcome but her location was still far from ideal by any sense. It didn’t take long for his mind to alter it in a way to better suit his own mindset. She clearly just wanted the best possible seat to witness his magnificence. With that in mind he couldn’t blame her.
”Suit yourself.”
With an audience of one Levi took the spear and slammed the back end against the floor. Using the force he grabbed the weapon in the center and swung it at the dummy almost like a sword. From that he quickly moved into a more functional state and began to stab it properly even if his hold on the weapon was anything but correct. He was more familiar with swords and close range combat and managed to convey that into how he fought with the spear. Still with stabs as the focus he attacked the dummy getting a better hold on how to use the weapon in his own way.

Tori winced when he slammed the poll on the ground. She wasn’t expecting the noise and she was fairly close to him but she wasn’t worried about getting hit at all. It was clear that in a strange way Levi knew what he was doing with that weapon it also helped that because she was sitting down Tori was a very small target. So she had no doubt in her mind that even as close as she was she would get in the way.
Her head cocked slightly as she watched him use the spear and she was pretty sure that wasn’t how you used that weapon. She blinked a few times in amazement that even if he was using it wrong he had somehow made it his own style and honestly that didn’t come as too much of a shock to her. This was Levi after all and making something new to fit his way seems like a normal thing.
After resting for a few moment Tori got up again dusting her back side off and her hand. She looked back up to Levi with a bit of a smile on her face now. It was time for her to leave she had spent almost all morning in the dojo but thanks to the arrogant prince she was able to get a better grasp on her knew soul purge.
”Well I think it’s about time I get going. I have to help my Papa in the shop. I’ll see you around Levi.”
It was inevitable in her mind that she would run into him again. These where things that just seemed to happen. She walked over to her bag that she had sitting at the other end of the dojo picking it up. She turned around and gave Levi a wave good bye before heading out of the dojo.
