This was just plain silly. Lior had been at Shibusen for a good few weeks now and she still got lost in the hallways. She had her class schedule memorized and she knew all of the classroom numbers. She even knew all the teachers! But for whatever reason, the albino just could not get her mental map of the school straight. Furrowing her brows, Lior stood outside the library. No, no, this wasn’t where she wanted to be at all. Sighing, she turned her head left and right. Maybe it was this way? Hurrying along, Lior couldn’t help but notice the usually crowded halls seemed a bit too easy to maneuver. Usually she had to fight to keep from bumping into someone, often resorted to keeping at least one shoulder pressed to the wall. This worried her if only because her only thoughts were that she was going to be late. Oh that wouldn’t do at all! She couldn’t be late, then she’d have to walk in front of the whole class and the teacher and there would be so many eyes on her! The thought alone was nearly enough to make her tear up, but she shook her head and keep going. No, she’d make it, she had to. She just had to figure out where she was and how to get to her classroom. She was sure it was around here somewhere. Lior strode forward, keeping her head down and her eyes ahead of her, avoiding eye contact at all costs. Eye contact meant potential conversation hich meant a lot of her being awkward and possibly crying. Hunching her shoulder, she quickened her pace. She would be late! And there was the bell. Hearing it sound was a defeat in and of itself. Well, if she was late then she wasn’t going to find it. Well okay she would for the sake of remembering just where her classroom was, but she certainly wouldn’t be going in. No sir, and cause a disturbance that would demand everyone look at her? Absolutely not. Lior had enough of people staring at her as it was. Being a general freak of nature did get her quite a few strange looks and lingering stares, most of them merely curious but to her each and every one posed a threat to her person until proven otherwise. Rounding a corner rather sharply, she did manage to bump into someone though. Great, just what she needed. With her face immediately turning a bright shade of pink out of embarrassment that was made all the more obvious by her complexion, Lior kept her eyes on the floor and bowed her head, “I-I’m so sorry! Please f-forgive me; I-I wasn’t watching where I was going! “

Oh this wasn't good news for Karina. Not good at all. She'd gotten up late that morning for the umpteenth time, thus she ran over the already-pushing-her-luck time that she usually left her dorm. After hurriedly showering, tying her still wet hair in a ponytail, and putting on a fresh pair of pants and shirt as well as her ever-present hooded sweatshirt, the thirteen year old dashed out her door, barely shutting it behind her.
Then she promptly turned around to grab her bag that was full of her books and such. She might need that. Also to put on her glasses. Might need those too.
Now she was streaking down the hallways to the cafeteria, but, of course, had managed to end up somewhere else. Shibusen was just too big, in her opinion. By the time she reached the hallway that actually lead to the cafeteria, Karina was winded. As she walked now through the opposing flow of students with her head bowed, she barely glanced up soon enough to see them close the doors to the cafeteria. That meant that she was too late to get breakfast.
"Wait!" She called desperately at the woman closing them. "Wait a second!" Running up to the closed doors to her breakfast, she sighed, knowing they wouldn't let her in. Then she also realized that she'd be late if she didn't get her butt to class, right now. Turning on her heels, she let out a frustrated sigh. “Today is not my day,” Karina remarked, taking off down the hallway again. She would at least make it to class, even if she was late. Being labeled as a student who skips class probably wouldn't help her chances of finding a Meister.
Where was everybody? As she tore down a hallway, she noticed the lack of other students. That couldn’t be good at all. She sped up as much as she could, and when the bell rang she stopped in her tracks. That meant she was late. It wasn’t even worth trying now. Couldn’t she just say she slept over by accident when she made it to class tomorrow? That could work, right? With a sigh she continued walking. Why would it? That was just a stupid idea. While she turned a corner without looking up, she bumped into someone.
Taking a step back, she looked up at the other she bumped into. “Sorry!” She exclaimed, looking at the girl in front of her. “N-no! It was me, I wasn’t watching!” Karina’s glasses were knocked off balance when she walked into the other, so she fixed them, her face turning red.

The albino had her shoulders hunched and her eyes glued to the floor. Lior had expected to be shoved out of the way, perhaps with a few insults of her complexion being thrown her way as well, however that wasn’t eh case. This surprised her. She hadn’t had many pleasant school experiences. She’d been homeschooled for as long as she could remember, and the one year she’d spent in high school in Chicago to prepare her for Shibusen had been less than exemplary in terms of how she had fared socially. Aside from one or two true friends, the albino had remained a strange outsider in the eyes of the rest of the student body.
Still, the girl before her seemed to be much in the same boat, at least as far as being shy went. Finally hiking her eyes up to look the girl in the eye, she hoped her red gaze wouldn’t unnerve her too much. Lior could tell she was at least a bit younger than her in age. She wondered if she was a NOT student like her or if she had surpassed her already. It wouldn’t be surprising to her if the latter was true. She and Rhett were doing well all things considered, but she was still very worried about how they would handle achieving One star status. They still had a lot to learn in her eyes.
The albino raised a hand to cover one cheek, trying to downplay the embarrassed flush that had tinted her entire face pink. Clearing her throat as a means to remind herself to hopefully not stutter, she bowed her head,
“I suppose we’re both at fault then. I do apologize, though, I truly am sorry. You aren’t hurt are you?”
Lior didn’t think that they’d collided that hard, but she was still concerned. The albino would feel just awful if she’d somehow bruised the girl in front of her. Oh this was just terribly awkward. And she’d thought that walking in late would be hell. Granted this wasn’t nearly as bad, even if her nerves were telling her to turn tail and run and pretend that the whole incident had never happened, plus her anxiety was through the roof until she either could move along or somehow figure out how to make this situation not so painfully awkward. A thought struck her then, though and she tilted her head, looking at the girl somewhat bashfully,
“Erm, you wouldn’t happen to be lost too, would you?”
