The Dojo. Why was she here? There was a reason right?
About five minutes ago an alarm had gone off on her watch. Late into the afternoon, most classes should have been well and done with, including the ones Kaylin had for the day. In fact, that’s where she had gotten this watch. In her normal blue attire of zip up one piece, cropped tank, and boots, the watch was a new addition.
The teacher for their combat training class was one of the few teachers that knew how to keep Kaylin on task. While other instructors believed it was Kaylin’s responsibility to remember everything they said (which probably would be the correct assumption), some teachers saw greater success from the meister when she was ‘encouraged’ to stay involved. Therefore, this watch was one of those tactics. Setting an alarm on this watch, the teacher had moved quickly. Securing the watch to Kaylin’s wrist, saying the simple word ‘dojo’ and pointing to a brightly colored young woman.
At the time, Kaylin knew what was going on. The teacher had explained the assignment to the class. Each of them was paired with another and was supposed to have a sort of duel before the next class met. Easy enough, even if Kaylin wasn’t totally paying attention to all the words because a leaf she had found right before class was so much more interesting. But… kaylin would never remember that assignment. So Bang and her were given a specific time and Kaylin a way of remembering.
Now… none of this was logged anywhere in the energetic meister’s brain. She simply found herself at the dojo by some compelling force within her. The beeping of the small mechanism pushed her along, sprinting towards the dojo associated with the school. The reason? She didn’t know. Her only clue was an image of vibrant colors of energy.
A grin on her face, Kaylin vaguely remembered a single lollipop that she had placed in her mouth not two minutes before. Sucking on the sweet treat, the girl patted the whip on her hip out of habit. She was pleased. But very quickly getting bored. The urge to get to the dojo was done, seeing as she found herself there. WHAT NEXT?!
Itching to move, she was not able to stay in place too long. Loosing the whip from her hip, the girl grasped both ends with her hands. Letting the middle of it dangle to the ground so that it resembled a sort of ‘smile’ like curve, she grinned with the sucker in her mouth. The female began humming a song, extremely off tune and painful to anyone with a sense of key, but she was happy. Then she began jumping. Using the whip as a jump rope, the girl began bouncing up and down. First slowly, then more quickly and higher and higher. She was completely oblivious of anyone else there… whether there was or wasn’t another. Stuck in her own little world, she still hummed along to her own little song.
One little dumdum in my mouth. Two little gumdrops fly about!

Bang was walking, no more like strutting he was down to the dojo at the assigned time. Her combat class was pretty fun and one of only a few that she tried to attend every day. Her big grin plastered across her face her made her way with her sunglasses on in the building. Why? Because she was just that cool. For class today she was to meet one of her fellow classmates and have a little fight with them and Bang was over joyed about this. She had seen the girl around school and from what she could tell she had a little problem with keeping her mind set on one thing and there was nothing wrong with that. It was safe to say that Bang did the same but it was out of her own choice. Bang neared the dojo and opened the doors standing there with her arm up on for a moment. She looked around the room and spotted Kaylin. As she lowered her arms she pulled her sun glasses down a bit looking the other girl over. She looked very athletic and full of energy. Oh this was going to be fun. Bang skipped into the room taking off her jacket and throwing it off to the side along with her sun glasses. She bounded near the girl then stopped reaching her arms up high only to bend over to touch her toes. She did a few more stretch glancing over to the other girl grinning at her. ”I think it would be right proper that we know each other before we beat the crap out of each other. Names Bang Bang.”The human rainbow held her hand out to the other girl and waited for her to shake her hand. Bang was a nice girl she wasn’t just going to bust in here like a madwoman and start fighting even if that did seem like something she would do. She wanted to at least hear the girls name from her mouth before punch and other things flew. Bang did love a good fight but what she loved more was making friends and she was hoping that this girl could be added to the list of people she terrorized with her love.

The song about various candies did not take very long to wrap up. Even if Kaylin was merely humming some random, out of tune, melody… there was no way she could stay on task to think of a different candy, how many of them there would be, and what they would be doing. It was too much to keep in an exact order.
She was losing interest in her jump rope antics. Instead of slowing her pace and letting the whip to ease to a halt, the girl stopped jumping and let her hands extend above her as the whip still carried momentum. Once above her head, she spun her left hand three times as the whip began to come down towards her body once again, then she clasped her hands back together. With these movements she had spun the whip once again into a neat circle, holding it against her chest in great glee.
All this while, another had entered the dojo. In the time it took for Bang to enter the place, look her over, and throw her jacket around, Kaylin still hadn’t noticed her. The laugh of the young meister echoed through the air as she spun a full 360 with the whip against her chest. Finished the spin she jumped once and placed the hip securely on her hip where it belonged. During her spin, however, she had seen something.
Kaylin’s eyes were on Bang’s bright green glasses. There was something about accessories for the head that caught the girl’s attention… Arlie’s earrings had gotten Kaylin’s interest not too long ago… But that green. It was just wonderful! Like grass that had extra happy! Wonderful wonderful green!
So, obviously, Kaylin’s attention was much more focused on the presence of those wonderful green glasses than on Bang’s words. Vaguely, the meister had heard them. Something proper, crap other…. blah blah blah. Nothing interested her. Nothing really. Except… well. Bang Bang? For a moment, Kaylin’s eyes shifted to Bang. Just her eyes, and only for a second at the most.
She couldn’t help it. Those glasses were just like a drug of happiness. As Bang’s hand was extended, Kaylin shot for where Bang had thrown the coat and glasses. They had been discovered carelessly along the side of the dojo. Bang merely wanting them out of the way, Kaylin unable to get them from her mind. Just knowing they were here… AMAZING.
The meister took a dive for the floor, the glasses her full aim. ”HA HA!” A mixture of laughter and exclamation. She held the green glasses in the air with triumph and joy. In the next moment they were on Kaylin’s face and the girl was on her feet. Of course… the sunglasses weren’t exactly a great help inside the dojo. Part of the reason Bang probably sat them to the side.
However, Kaylin only embraced this face. ”Queeeeeeeennnnnnnn of the Crreeeeppppyyyyy! the girl exclaimed in an odd sort of sing song voice. She took off sprinting then. Completely forgetting she was here for a reason. Forgetting Bang Bang was also there. Forgetting everything. She was the Queen of the dark shadiness that made everything look darker.
Don’t be confused. Kaylin understood sunglasses. What they were made for and how they were used. But… it’s like trying to tell a young child that their big cardboard box isn’t a ship. It just is. Let it happen. But… Kaylin’s sprint happened to be straight in Bang’s direction. Mostly likely simple to dodge, if one assumed that Kaylin was not altering course. Which, as a matter of fact, she wasn’t. She didn’t acknowledge Bang still being there, why change course?
”WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE”

Bang watched the other girls antics as she took a dive for her glasses. She cocked her head to the side and slowly lowered her hand back down. Well that went poorly on Bang’s part. She was just trying to be friendly but this girl had her own agenda with her sunglasses. Bang watched as she ran around shouting thing that really only made the rocket launcher grin a little. This girl was a boat load of crazy and a crazy that was nothing like her type of crazy. As Kaylin ran right at Bang she got an idea. There was no way in hell she was going to move out of the way.
When Kaylin Bang made her move kicking a foot out from under the girl and close lining her at the same time making her fall on her back. Bang swung one leg over the girl and plopped down right on her chest making her that as she did so she was pinning her arms down with her legs. Bang reached down and plucked the sunglasses off the other girls face and returned them to her own. As Bang slid the glasses up her nose her grin grew wider.
”Well girl now look at this you seem to have taken a liking to my shades. Tell ya what girlie you do what you got to do for this class and these bad boys are yours.”
Bang pulled the shades off again and spun them around her finger before she put them back on her face. She hopped off the other girl now and took a few hopes back like she was playing jump rope. Bang didn’t take a fighting stance she never really did now that would give away how good of a fighter she could really be. Bang would rather have fun and do her own thing and it seemed that was going to be the same for the other girl as well. Bang grin grew wider as she looked at her.
”Come on girlie hit me with your best shot, fire away.”

The dark tint of the glasses really gave no assistance in Kaylin’s current predicament. Running around a dojo in the presence of one that she was supposed to duel. At a disadvantage already because she forgot about the duel AND the person in the dojo, she added to her issues with the glasses. Did she care? Hell no! Didn’t even realize that there was something she may need to notice or care about. This was just too much darn fun.
The collision of Bang’s foot meeting with her lower calf was the first thing to be noticed. A dramatic ”NNOOOOOOO” instantly erupted from the girl’s vocal cords. The closeline move of Bang’s was completed and followed by more words from the energetic meister. ”The fairies have struck the Queen!” Of course. Only the fairies would dare interrupt her Royal Shadiness and her dance through the darkness! That must be why she found herself falling backwards!
Laughter escaping her even as she hit the ground, Kaylin didn’t seem fazed in the least. A weight was felt on her chest and arms. Something unusual for the meister. Being pinned. Pinned? Like…. a tail on the donkey. Eyes opened wide as she was excited for this childhood game she had heard so much about, her palms hit against the ground with impatience. Bang had taken the glasses and light flooded Kaylin’s eyes once more. Laughter erupted once again from the female, accompanied by the words. ”THE LIGHT! I’m blind! Ahahaha”
All fun and games. After all. It was all fun and games until someone loses an eye. THEN IT IS FUN YOU CAN’T SEE. Her eyes eventually focused, the glasses were back on Bang’s face. A grin on Kaylin’s face, her happiness only escalated as she noticed Bang was smiling as well. A fun lover! Well of course! Look at the colors! Giggling still, it was like Kaylin couldn’t stop herself. There was just so much energy in the room and she felt like she would burst if she couldn’t move.
Thankfully, after the words Kaylin hadn’t paid attention to were done, the weight was lifted from her body. No sooner had Bang lifted herself off of Kaylin, the energetic meister lifted up her torso into the air. In an arc, balanced on her palms and feet, she stretched out the limbs that were pinned for OH so long. Chuckling, she pushed off the ground and was standing ‘tall’ once again. But what was this? BANG BANG was jumping away? Where did the words Bang Bang come from? Was that her name?
Shrugging the thought off, she copied Bang’s movement. She was jumping! Was this hopscotch? That was so awesome! Jumping after Bang, it was like a mix of Simon says and hopscotch. A bright grin, she hopped until about a foot and a half away from Bang. Somehow, Kaylin didn’t catch the fact that there were no lines for hopscotch… nor was anyone telling Bang ‘Simon says...’
‘Fire away.’
Kaylin heard those words. But… why fire? She was no fire performer. ”Nahhhhhh. I’m more of an animal person.” A grin on her face still, she still seemed overly giggly and happy. As she had spoken, her hand traveled to the whip on her hip. Clasp undone, hand gripping the weapon, and a fluid motion outward extended the whip out into the air to her right and it settled at full length on the floor.
The concept of fighting… was lost on Kaylin today.
