It hadn’t been more than just a few days since Akuma had meet Lior but today was the day that he had plan to take the adorable albino out on a date. It was lucky for him that today was a cloudy because his plane was to take Lior to the park where he had their date all set up. That meant that she wouldn’t have to hold her umbrella the whole time but if the sun did plan to come out Akuma had a backup plane for that. He was dressed far nicer than when he had meet Lior the first time and while it was true that it was to try and impress her he was also dressed so that her former nanny wouldn’t flip too much of a shit. He had already gotten the stink eye from her once and he was betting he would get it again but he would at least try and look a bit better and also wear a shirt even if he still didn’t button it up all the way to hide his tattoos. Akuma arrived right on him and looked to the huge house where Lior lived. It still blew his mind and he had a feeling that would never change. House didn’t come this big in Japan and not to mention that there were a few years he lived without a roof over his head. Wasting no time he walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell. Placing his hands in his pockets he waited for someone to answer the door. He couldn’t help but get a grin on his face as he waited just thinking about Lior caused him to do that. By far she was the prettiest girl at this school and he help honored that she agreed to go on this date with him and if he played his cards right he might get more dates to fallow.

Lior blinked and already it was the day she and Akuma had designated to go out. The albino couldn’t name a time where she’d felt so nervous. She’d started getting ready from the moment she’d woken up the morning, unable to think of anything else. She’d never been on a date before, never even been asked out before. Lior had no idea what to expect or how to act, so she did the only thing she knew how to: she worried. All of her thoughts were jumbled together at once and it made her fidget and fuss over everything. Standing in front of the mirror in her room for the fiftieth time, she wondered if she shouldn’t do something with her hair. Abigail stood slightly behind her, a frown plain on her face as she laid both hands up on pale shoulders, “For the last time: you look lovely, bubala. All worrying’ll do is give you winkles early, do you want that?”Lior pouted and turned in a circle, examining her outfit from the back, “Of course not.”She gathered her hair in her hands and lifted it atop her head, pursing her lips and adopting an even more critical stare before dropping it and letting white strands hang freely about her shoulders to her waist. Her hair was naturally a bit wavy, but she’d used a curling iron earlier in the morning so it at least looked like she was attempting to be dressier. Abigail had actually needed to help her tone it down given that earlier she’d started in what would normally be considered a prom dress and scaled it down to a simpler outing. The doorbell rang and the albino jolted before adopting an expression only readable as stricken horror. Abigail rolled her eyes and patted her head as she passed, “Don’t worry, I’ll get it, but you better be trotting down those stairs when I call for you or so help me.”The expression of a deer in headlights didn’t leave Lior, even after Abigail had left. A sigh that sounded more like a wheeze left her as she turned to stare down her own reflection. Well he wouldn’t have asked her out if he didn’t find her attractive, right? Or at least that’s what she wanted to believe, but the little voice in the back of her head telling her that she still looked like she belonged to a circus sideshow remained. Taking slow, deep breaths, Lior attempted to remain calm. Panicking wouldn’t do anything and she wasn’t going to leave Akuma waiting at the door just because she felt faint at the thought of someone liking her. Downstairs, Abigail huffed upon opening the door. Cold eyes looked Akuma up and down before she stepped aside to allow him in, “Master Akuma, so good to see you in proper dress.”Once he was in, Abigail walked to the stairs and rapped on the mural the lead up to the second story, “Lior Keshet Menke, don’t make me come up there!”Hearing her middle name certainly got her moving, anxiety and nerves be damned. The albino jumped and hurried out of her room, grabbing the parasol she’d chosen before rushing to stumble down the stairs. Abigail stopped her with a hand on her shoulder, giving her a gentle smile if an obviously forced one, “Relax, bubala. Also don’t forget to scream as loud as you can if he gets handsy.” “Oyfhern!”((Stop!)) “Yes, just like that! Now go on, have fun.”Abigail wandered off towards the living room, leaving Lior with flush of red in her cheeks and looking highly flustered. Taking a deep breath, she smoothed out her skirt for the millionth time and wandered into the foyer where Akuma waited. It was a bit of a shock to see him so, well, formal. Granted to Lior he still appeared mostly casual, but that only made her relieved that she in turn wasn’t overdressed. A shy smile crept onto her face as she stared at her feet. Red eyes flitted up briefly to look at him before she bent in a slight curtsy, “Hello Akuma. You look quite nice.”

Akuma had been let into the front room of the home and as he looked around waiting for his date he still couldn’t get over the size and grandeur of this place. Granted he had only been here once before and this was something that he could see himself never getting used to. In Japan when he did have a home it was so small in comparison but most of the time he lived on the streets. He exhaled a bit wondering what was taking Lior so long but he thought it might just be nerves. When he had asked her out on the date she did look like she was about to pass out.
Something caught his attention and pulled him out of his train of thought. It was the person he had been waiting for. Akuma stood there looking at her and he couldn’t hide the wide eyed expression on his face. She looked stunning and as he looked at her a very light tint of pink form on his face but as quickly as it was there it vanished as he smiled at her giving her a bow.
”Thank you Lior but I have to say that you look absolutely stunning.”
He straightened back up and offered his arm to her. If her nanny was watching and, he bet what little money he had on that fact, he wanted to give the best impression to her but in all honestly this was all for Lior. It was clear she had never been on a date and it was clear that no man had ever given her the time of day. Akuma was going to change all of that.
”I have a little surprise waiting for you in the park. I know you can’t be out in the sun so I found us a weeping willow to stay under. It was the only tree that gave the best shade so when he get there you don’t have to worry about holding you umbrella all day.”
He couldn’t wait to show her the step up that he had made of them. He had spent the better part of last night and early this morning getting it all ready for her. Akuma wanted to impress and by god he was going to do it even if he had no money to his name. He would woo her with his talents.

The moment he saw her, his eyes had gone wide. Oh God, was her skirt uneven? Was her hair doing something strange. Lior straightened and lowered her eyes to the ground only for them to shoot back up as he spoke. The blood rushed to her face so fast it was a wonder she didn’t lose consciousness. Sure she was as red as a strawberry and embarrassed at the mere thought, Lior fanned herself with one hand and merely nodded as she stammered, “R-really? Th-th-thank you, I’m g-glad you th-th-think so!”
Good grief, could she be any more awkward? They’d only just begun and already she was screwing up royally. She couldn’t even speak a proper sentence! Swallowing dryly and trying to ignore how her heart hammered against her ribs, she blinked as Akuma offered her his arm. The albino had to be honest with herself in that when he had asked her out she certainly hadn’t expected this. Akuma was a rough looking sort of fellow, granted she could tell even from their brief time in knowing each other that he truly was a sweetheart. He looked like a thug, but the smile on his face encouraged her to mirror it with one of her own, shy thought it was.
Lior linked arms with the blonde a tad hesitantly, still unsure of what she was supposed to be doing. She’d never been on a date before, she’d never been asked. This was an entirely new experience, and while she was hoping for the best, her stomach was still twisting and turning in an unpleasant manner. What if it started to rain? What if she got a sunburn? What if they got there and halfway through he realized she really was just a freak that belonged in a circus sideshow somewhere? That there was nothing special about her aside from being different? Her throat burned and Lior blinked. Pull it together! If you’re going to lose it, at least try to stick it out for more than five minutes! What would mother say? To be fair, her mother would probably say quite a bit about her dating Akuma, so she tried not to think about it.
Focusing muted ruby eyes back on her date, she couldn’t help but look a touch surprised. A surprise in the park? Under a weeping willow no less? For her? Lior stared for a moment before remembering it was rude. She felt the shy smile on her face relax a bit, her shoulders dropping as she let the thought wash over her and sink in. When Lior looked up at Akuma again, her eyes were shining. “That sounds so lovely! I can’t wait to see!”

Akuma smiled down at Lior overjoyed to see the look on her face. She was such a shy girl and she obviously never had someone ask her out or take her out on a date. Akuma wanted this to be special for her to make her feel comfortable and more importantly for her not to worry about others looking at her for he didn’t tell her that the tree was also in a kind of out of the way place.
With arms linked he lead her down the street getting a few stares from people but he didn’t care in the slightest. The stares might have come more so with how the two were so dressed up rather than Lior’s appearance. He lead he to the area he had pick out, out of the way of others and under the willow. He unlinked his arms to walk over and pull the vines back to allow Lior to walk under the tree.
There under the willow tree was a picnic set up with all kinds of baked good and sandwiches. It looked more like food someone would make for a tea time and the reason for that was the ice tea that he had made. Akuma took a few steps in and around Lior to get a better look at her face now.
”Well will this service for a first date?”
It was kind of cute how his voice sounded hopeful. He really and honestly put a lot of time in this to make sure it looked nice and to make her Lior would have a good time and be safe from the rays of that damn laughing sun. He was literally holding his breath as he waited for Lior to speak next. It had been a while since he had taken a girl out on a date.

He smiled down at her and Lior felt her heart flutter and her smile grow brighter as a result. Why was she worrying again? Even as they set out for their destination, the albino just didn’t feel like worrying. The sunlight prickled unfamiliarly against her skin where her parasol was held ajar, but she didn’t mind it for once. They attracted stares, but Lior couldn’t bring herself to care. She could only gaze down her their feet marching slowly along in time, occasionally glancing up at her date through white eyelashes and feeling giddy for no apparent reason at all.
The spot he led her to was rather out of the way, but the tree was beautiful. Akuma only drew away from her to clear a path, and Lior blushed as she did so. Wandering into the planted haven, the albino gazed wide-eyed at the scene Akuma had laid out. A darker blush colored her face when she realized that he had laid it out for her, and Lior had to cup a hand lightly over her mouth when she felt her eyes well up again. No no, don’t do that, he’ll get the wrong idea, she reminded herself. Blinking away the look, she dropped her hand and smiled over to Akuma, “Yes, it will. This is so lovely, Akuma, you truly outdid yourself.”
Not that Lior had anything to compare it to in terms of dates or anything else Akuma had done, but she didn’t care. Here was a young man she barely knew that for whatever reason was interested in her, doing all of this for her so shortly after they’d met. It meant a lot to her, more than she cared to vocalize or show, so she carefully knelt beside the set up and tried not to let her eyes well up again, even if it was from happiness.
Akuma wasn’t the only one who was trying, after all. Lior herself still couldn’t shake the voice in the back of her head that wouldn’t quit with the endless what if’s. She ignored it, but it was still present. Even so hearing Akuma’s vague uncertainty did reassure her that she wasn’t the only one who may be a tad nervous. Folding her hands daintily in her lap, Lior switched topics to distract herself before any anxiety had the chance to fully return to her, “Did you do all of this yourself?”
