Shibusen was a school that was hard to classify as normal or ordinary, but today nothing seemed to be unusual for the standards of the school. A few students may have pulled a prank or a fight may have started but that was all commonplace for the academy. Things stayed this way until right before noon when an additional figure appeared. Pulling a wagon filled with papers the figure left the school and walked down to the school grounds, an easy to find and recognizable area in Death City. Standing and looking out over the city the person stood and seemed to be waiting for someone to arrive.
Upon closer inspection it would reveal the figure was a woman wearing a pair of shorts, a plain t-shirt, and a school sports jacket with a stop watch hanging from her neck. Appearing in her mid-twenties she could be recognized as one of the teachers that assisted with gym classes. Gray eyes and blonde hair she was one of the members of the school that didn’t excessively stand out. In the wagon next to her were a stack of papers that seemed rather small but still plentiful.
Students passed the waiting teacher with a variety of expressions. Some were stumped as to why she was standing with a wagon of papers, others gave a glanced and walked on without giving it a second thought. Some spotted the wagon and began to grin knowingly at what was going on, a few even headed out into the city to search for the designated spots for the posters. They would search but not meddle as to cause issue for the actual team taking the mission. Checking the spots was simply a fun pastime and they could always see who took it and how well they did the next day near the dojo where the other records were.

This mission wouldn’t seem like a mission someone would get to stressed out about but this mission was very different of the others Tori and Dante had gone on. This was their last NOT mission and then her and her weapon would finely become a one star team. To Tori this was something to stress out about and as her and Dante made their way to the teacher it was showing. She kept looking at her watch every few seconds as if they were going to miss the time they were meant to meet the teacher and when she wasn’t looking at her watch she was playing with her hands. She looked to her weapon as they got closer to the teacher and she could help but give him a little smile. ”This is it Dante our last not mission and then we are finely one stars. I can’t believe this day has finely come.”Tori looked back to where they were walking and spotted the teacher they were meant to meet. She took a deep breath and gave Dante another glance and a little node of her head as she approached the teacher. ”Victoria and Dante here for the not mission.”Her body was a little stiffer than normal and Dante could see that her hands where balled into tight fist a sign that she was nervous.

This was it! This was their last NOT mission! Dante was surprised he wasn’t more nervous, but then perhaps it had something to do with the mission they’d chosen. Sure it may have been time based, but so what? Even if Tori was on the slower side as far as speed went, the blond liked to think that his presence more than made up for that. Besides, with how well their last mission had gone, it was clear they knew how to work well with each other, they just had to relax and go with the flow. Granted, relaxed wasn’t exactly something Dante was at the moment. No, the Sicilian was completely excited for the mission and it showed. He’d been jittery all morning long, twice as fidgety, and totally unable to stand still. Hell, he’d been taking the steps by twos until he’d needed to slow down for his Meister. She seemed preoccupied that they be on time, not that Dante could blame her. They didn’t want to be late for the start of the last NOT mission that would lead them into the greatness that was the One Star class after all! As the two approached the teacher, the blond returned the little smile Tori gave him with a gentle one of his own, “We’re finally moving up, I can’t wait! All we need to do is knock this one right out of the park like last time and we’re golden!”Walking along beside Tori, Dante only came to a stop as they reached the teacher and the wagon. Dante rocked back on his heels as she introduced them, not even trying to keep himself still anymore. He was excited; therefore he would be in constant motion until the mission ended most likely. He gave a nod to the teacher and let Tori say hello but of course took notice that his Meister had her hands clenched tightly into fists. Shaking his head not unkindly, Dante gently nudged her and gave her a reassuring look and a wink, “Relax, Tori. We’ve got this!”

Remaining as she was the teacher waited as the team approached her. She knew who was to be taking the mission so if any other pair attempted to try she could dismiss them. However it did seem that the two coming her way were indeed the pair that was to take the mission, a certain Victoria and Dante if she remembered correctly. Either way here they were so things could get started soon. The girl confirmed as much when they reached her so this would be easy. Turning to face the two she greeted them with a smile.
”I’m sure you don’t want to waste much time so let’s get started.”
Her voice carried its own enthusiasm as she grabbed a handful of papers from the wagon. Quickly flipping through them she counted what she had before nodding and handing the stack to Tori, done with that she looked out over Death City for a moment before returning her attention to the students.
”Alright just so you understand everything I’ll give a brief overview. You have twenty posters there advertising a sale a Deathbucks. Through the city there are twenty red x’s marked around on walls and such. Your job is to get all those posters on the marks and get back here as fast as you can.”
Raising a hand to pick up the stopwatch around her neck she looked at it and ran her fingers over the buttons. Giving the team a reassuring smile she continued her explanation.
”Because this is your last NOT mission this will be a test to see how quickly you can handle timed objectives as well as a physical fitness review. Give it your best alright?”
Giving another nod she pressed a button on the stopwatch and looked at the team.
”And the clocks started.”

Tori took the posters from the teacher and looked down at them as she talked. Her eyes looked back to the teacher as she explained what they had to do. It sounded easy enough but nothing was very as easy as it seemed with these missions. A sudden surge of panic formed in Tori’s chest as the teacher pulled the stop watch up. Tori was a stickler for time being a daughter of a watch maker and all. She knew that Dante would be laid back about this and might even laugh it off because that was just the type of guy he was.
As soon as the teacher started the clock Tori turned to look at Dante giving him a node of her head to show it was time to go as she started down the steps. She was by no means as fast as her weapon so on their way down Tori handed him half of the stack of posters.
”Okay here in the plan you run ahead of me and I will keep an eye out for the X’s. When I see one I will yell to you where it is so you can slap a poster there and we can move on to the next.”
In her head this seemed like a good plan. Tori’s voice could carry quite a distance so she wasn’t worried about Dante getting too far ahead of her and he was really good at taking direction, when he needed too. Dante was fast and agile and this would help the both of them if he ran ahead and didn’t stay back with his slower mister. Tori had an eye for detail so stopping big red X’s shouldn’t be too hard for her to do and keeping some poster with her might be a good thing seeing as a few of those x’s should be closer to the ground.
”All right go ahead Dante you’ll know when I have stopped a red x.”
She gave her weapon a smile showing him that she was going to try and not be so neurotic about everything.

The teacher wasted little time which Dante honestly appreciated. He was ready and raring to go, knowing full well that they’d probably need him running at full speed to get a good mark on their last NOT mission. He was so ready to get going he couldn’t stand still, fidgeting with his hair and the ear cuff he wore until he shoved his hands in his pockets.
The blond nodded along as the teacher spoke. It was a simple enough task, take the posters and stick them over the red X’s as fast as possible. The better the time, the better the mark. Dante doubted they would be setting any records with how slow Tori was, but they should at least be able to achieve decent if not average. Hearing that this would also be a test of their physical fitness seemed understandable and also like something that Dante was sure both he and Tori would easily pass. He was quick meanwhile Tori could probably punch a hole through solid concrete if she was angry enough.
With the clock started and the posters held in Tori’s arms, they were off. Returning the nod Tori gave him, they started down the steps. Dante purposefully tried not to pull ahead of her although he descended far quicker than he normally would have. Thankfully it seemed like his Meister had a plan, and a damn good one at that. It would separate them but with Tori’s lung capacity, Dante was fairly certain he could be in China and still be able to hear her. Taking the half stack of posters that he was handed, Dante gave her a grin,
“Sounds good to me.”
It was aplan that benefited them both and would hopefully get them a better time. He could be quick and get the posters up where they needed to be, and Tori would point them out for him so that he didn’t need to waste time running around like a chicken with its head cut off looking for red X’s. With her go ahead, Dante gave her a wink and sped up,
“Aye aye, capitano!”
With that, Dante quit slowing down and practically tore down the rest of the Shibusen steps. He paused only briefly at the bottom before he kept running. She’d said to keep moving after all, plus the more momentum he had built up the easier it would be to jump up and get to the higher X’s should any be present. Keeping his ears sharp, he waited for Tori’s call.

Upon reaching the bottom of the stairs the team would not be able to see any of the red X’s that were markers for where the posters needed to be placed. In fact if they looked around the school grounds there would be no visible X’s, just students and other normal objects around the school. As the posters were meant to advertise Deathbucks’ sale the team would need to head into the shopping district to find the marks for the posters. Once they entered the district though the X’s would become easily visible along the streets and waiting for posters to cover them.
Taking a turn down 8 Avenue would reveal a cluster of red X’s on either side. One plain mark was placed on the door to Death Market under two other posters for different events. The X being at about chest level would provide no immediate challenge in being placed. On the other side of the Avenue were 2 X’s placed right across form 89 Kiosco, one at average chest level and the other below the window that loomed over their heads. The second X being a solid 7 feet off the street it would be more of a challenge to reach.
Farther down another X could be seen on an apartment building that stretched into the avenue. At a similar height of around 7 feet it was visible to those walking down the street and at a strange enough position to catch attention. No more difficult to reach than the other elevated X it would provide some challenge but no more than the other. Four out of the twenty scattered X’s in front of them the team could take out a cluster quickly and look for more.

As they ran down the step of the school Tori gave a whistle indicating for Dante to pay attention as she made her way to the shopping district. She wasn’t worried about Dante getting too far ahead of her at all and as the come one 8 avenue Tori took in her surroundings to see where all the X where. The ones at chest leave would be more problem both her and Dante could take those out it was just the ones a little higher up but Tori had a plan. She always had a plan.
”Dante to your right! Get the two X’s across from 89 Kiosco!”
Tori ran to the other X that was closer to her and placed a poster on it before she ran over to the one that was seven feet off the ground. She placed the posters that were in her hand on the ground next to her as her locked both her hands together and squatted down a bit.
”Dante! Here I’ll give you a boost.”
Tori now found it very handy that her weapon knew a little parkor. Tori could give him the boot he needed to get a good jump from her height to get up to that poster and luckily for Dante Tori was a lot stronger than she looked and a lot more stable as well. If the move worked she would use the same one again to get the other X before moving onto the next street. It seemed a little easy right now but Tori didn’t want to get her hopes up that all of them would be this easy to get to and it worst comes to worst she could always just throw Dante in his weapon form. Not like she hasn’t done that before but hey it worked the past two times that she had done it.

As soon as Dante heard Tori whistle, he skidded to a halt and waited. She’d said to listen for her, and that was precisely what he was doing. Their teamwork was definitely going to be tested with this mission, what with her keeping a lookout for X marks and him running all over hell’s half acre with his armful of posters. They could do it, though. Dante knew they could. The blonde heard her specify which X’s to go after and turned around, grinning as he spotted them, “Roger that!”
Dante placed up the poster easiest to get to first and the noted the one that was higher up. If he could get something to push off of he could make that height easily and get the poster up. Clearly thinking along the same lines as he was, Tori had already run over and hunkered down with her hands locked to give him a boost up. Dante backed up a bit to have more of a start and then ran. His right foot landed in his Meister’s locked hands and he pushed off and up with a poster already readied in his left hand. He slammed it in place and came back down to land on one knee, grinning from ear to ear, “Thanks!”
So far so good, granted this was only the first lineup. There had to be more X’s hanging around, and he had no doubt that some could potentially be higher and require more planning to get to, not that he imagined height being an issue. If they were really high up and could always temporarily hand his posters off to Tori and climb on his own up to get it and then get down as quickly as possible so that they could continue one. This was their last mission after all, and they were being timed. Every second that passed counted.
Straightening, Dante waited again for Tori to command him wear to go, already on the move again. He could see other X’s in the general area, but he was leaving the planning to her like she said. It was working well so far. Why deviate from a plan that was working if he didn’t have a reason to? Pausing briefly in the middle of the street, he called out to his Meister, “Where to next, Tori?”

3/20 With three posters down and one more in sight the team was making good progress. Seeing as height wasn’t that much of a problem reaching the more difficult poster locations was hardly an issue. With the three X’s taken care of 8 Avenue was essentially complete except for t the one lone X on the apartment building. All the team would need to do is slap a poster on that and 8 Avenue would be cleared of X’s and they could move onto a new area. That wouldn’t be very hard for them considering what was ahead of them. An alley was next to the apartment building and provided a quick route for the team to head into the next area. If the team headed through the alley they would emerge on 9 Street and be met with an immediate sight, a poster board outside one of the shops and three red X’s plainly visible on it. A low cluster of three should be no problem for Victoria to take care of and allow the team to add three more to the number of posters distributed. Aiming for clusters like that would really help the team cut down on time and make the job quicker. Almost like fortune was looking down on the team all they had to do was turn around after the cluster of X’s and they would be able to see another group of three. Unlike the last this cluster was located above them on one of the buildings. A fire escape led up to the top of the building and the ladder was hanging a few feet above the ground. If someone could jump really high they might be able to reach it but it was just above the normal level where someone would be able to grab it.
