This was starting to get old and it had only been a week. Dion had spent a week resting in the infirmary before getting the ok to leave. As soon as he got out however things only got worse for him. Just leaving the school he heard the people talking about the whole incident and how some kid lost his shit and attacked the thing. Dion didn’t expect it to be kept a secret or anything but the way they spoke about it made it seem like he was unstable, even dangerous to be around. He may have messed up but being labeled as dangerous wasn’t something he felt fit.
His attempt to talk to the students and settle this only ended with them walking away from him and not attempting to hide their intentions. Dion chalked that up as an isolated thing and headed home without a second thought. Everything seemed fine after that until he tried to go to sleep. In the infirmary he was fine but as soon as he tried back at the apartment the nightmares started. It was always either that bird thing or fire, sometimes both if fate really hated him. As a result his sleep was minimal at best.
A week or both and Dion was noticeably offset. His hair was in the same style but messier than usual, slight bags had started to form under his eyes, and his face was in a near permanent scowl. Even his trademark hoodies were partially unzipped and unequally over his shoulders. At any mention of the events he would glare at whoever spoke and that usually shut them up, it didn’t do much to disprove the rumors though. By this point Dion gave little fucks though, he did try to avoid violence though on the off chance he could redeem his reputation.
However he was getting sick of even that. The fact that people didn’t trust him in conjunction with the nightmares kept wearing him thin. He felt useless and was even starting to think the rumors were right and he was dangerous. He had held himself back so far but he was afraid he would snap soon and end up punching some gossipy little NOT student in the face. Training on his own did nothing to help this except maybe scare people away from him more. It was all stupid and he needed something to come and distract him.
Done with class he had a plan to try and fix this or at least take him mind off everything. Heading to his locker he took out a simple duffle bag that was clearly filled and left. Ignoring any glances he received Dion just kept walking with his head down until he escaped the school. Walking down the steps and out into the city Dion headed straight for the park. Out in the city he received less looks and even less wen the people around him diminished. Once in the park the basketball court was his destination.
It was a quick walk and once he reached his goal he found it empty. Not surprising even if it was on the order between park and city. Opening his bag he pulled out a basketball and threw the bag off to the side, it landing on one of the benches against the wall. Dion’s hoodie found itself with the bag on the bench as Dion himself dribbled the basketball. Walking around he stayed in silence before throwing the ball and having it hit the board and bounce back to him. Catching it he continued to dribble in silence.
His next shot swooshed through the basket however and Dion walked over to get it. Going back he dribbled and stared at the net in silent contemplation. This was stupid. None of this was helping him and he still felt horrid. Adding some force he began to hit the ball harder against the ground in his frustration.
”So fucking stupid.”
The ball slammed harder and harder against the ground and bounced higher and higher as a result. When it reached about as high as the net Dion’s frustration broke and he did a flip to sate himself. When he landed the ball was coming down and his leg went out to kick it as hard as he could. It connected and sent the ball flying, right into a person that had showed up.

Akuma was not having a good day to say the least. To start with he had been woken up from a dead sleep by this cat clawing his chest and then couldn’t get back to sleep because said cat spent the rest of the night yowling at nothing. When he did get up for school he found that he was out of cigarettes and he didn’t have enough money to get a new packet. He had gone the whole day without nicotine and was having withdrawals and to add to that he had a headache from withdrawals as well. He was irritated and very cranky to say the least.
As the day drew on he also couldn’t help but over heard rumors that where going around the school and while most of the time he ignored them today he had nothing to distract himself with. So from what he was hearing before he got to the school it was attacked by some bird thing? Well he had sort of heard about that but what he didn’t know is that some students got to close to the thing and it sounded like one of them had lost his shirt because of it. Madness had that effect on people.
Trying to get away from all the nose of the school Akuma made his way to the park after classes. It was quite here and fresh air helped him get rid of his splitting headache. Why did he ever take up something so dumb as smoking when this would happen when he ran out of cigarettes. He didn’t have much time to think this over as he passes near the basketball court. He could see out of the corner of his eye that some greened haired boy was there and from the looks of it he seemed a little ticked. But Akuma’s world soon became nothing more than a flash of pain and stars. The boy had kicked the ball and it flying and hit the meister right in the face. Akuma blinked a few time to regain his sight but that was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Akuma picked up the balled and yelled over at the other boy.
”Hey! Watch what you are doing dumbass!”
Akuma whipped the ball back at the other kid not care if it hit him or not. In all honesty he was hoping that it did hit him. It would make him feel a lot better seeing as he got hit in the face because of this guy and he wasn’t having it anymore this day was getting to him.

Alright so the kick was unnecessary but it did make him feel a bit better. The main issue was that now he had to go retrieve his basketball before leaving. Of course when he heard the sound of it hitting something that didn’t sound like a normal court substance he was a little worried. Turning to see what happened he saw that it had ended up hitting some guy. Dion did feel bad for a moment and would have apologized if the guy didn’t open his mouth and speak. Dion wouldn’t have dealt with someone like that normally and he sure as hell wasn’t dealing with it now.
When his basketball ended up getting thrown at him Dion prepared to and did catch it right before it ended up hitting him in the face. Next was the question about what to do with this asshole. Dion would have loved to make some witty remark and throw the ball back at him, but that was flawed in multiple ways. Firstly he didn’t want his ball getting popped or anything and secondly he couldn’t aim at all. Even when playing basketball he relied mostly on luck or parkour to make any shot. The last thing he needed was to chuck his ball at the guy and miss. Instead Dion opted to hold the ball nonchalantly and grin at the guy.
”You’re right, if I don’t watch I can’t see all the fun stuff like you getting a ball kicked into your shitty face. ”
Raising a hand to flip off the guy Dion turned around like nothing had happened and returned to dribbling the ball. He hoped it worked, god he hoped it worked. He was trying so hard not to go off and hurt someone innocent but if this guy wanted to start something he could finally let it go and fight like he wanted. Dion hadn’t realized how much he wanted this until the situation presented itself. A good fight would be great! After his maddened issue he wasn’t sure if he wanted to hurt or be hurt more but he didn’t care at the moment. As long as fists were hitting faces he was more than ready for it!

Had this been a normal day Akuma would have just ignored the other boy and been on his way but he was feeling inclined to do no such thing at this point. This was just a bad day to be picking a fight with the tall Japanese boy. He walked over to where the other boy had gone back to dribbling the ball. Now Akuma could have just grabbed the boy by his shoulders or something like that to get his attention but he was in such a bad mood after getting hit in the face with that damn ball so he opted for his second choice.
He balled his hand up into a fist and gathered up fire soul purge and when he was finely close to the other kid punched the ball and from the heat of the flame caused it to pop. Akuma turned his head to look at the other boy now with a glare on his face.
”Mind running that by me again?”
Akuma had a very strong feeling that this intimidation wouldn’t work on this other kid more than likely he also went to the same school but Akuma didn’t care if it would work or not. He was itching for a fight now and this boy just happened to be the unlucky baster that really pissed him off. He was more than ready now standing this close to the other kid his hand still balled into a fist.
It had been a while since he had had a good fight. Back home he got into them all the time and while he was trying to avoid it here he knew that was a crazy thought. This school allowed their students to fight and from what Akuma could tell it looked like this other kid just might want to get into a fight and at this point that was fine by him. From the looks of it too this was going to be a fast kid just from how his body was built far more lean then Akuma’s bulky body. That was something he would have to keep in mind.

He could hear the other guy approaching by the nearing footsteps but Dion made no effort to acknowledge him. Dion was just going to stand there and dribble his basketball until there was a reason for him not to. If he was wearing his hoodie still he would have probably stood with his hands in his pockets nonchalantly waiting for some sort of confrontation. Alas he was left to dribble while hiding the mania he could practically feel inside him. That was at least until the guy got close and punched his basketball and it subsequently popped.
”Awww”
Dion was unenthusiastic and his voice reflected that. Dropping his head down to act dejected Dion felt the grin growing on his face. When the guy spoke Dion calmed himself down enough to turn around and face him with an impassive expression. So he wanted him to run that by him again? A million different responses ran through his head but Dion had to decide on one that would carry his normal flare as well as get the reaction he desired. What he said would be useless if it didn’t piss off the guy enough to start a fight so he had to be careful.
”Oh? Do you want me to talk slower since I’m not fluent in little bitch?”
Dion couldn’t help it anymore. His face was losing its impassiveness and starting to turn into a smug grin. He wondered what this guy was but it didn’t matter, he could deal with anything! Keeping his arms at his sides he waited to see what happened. Hopefully this guy would take the bait and start something that would be worth his time. Then he would have to go get another basketball after.

If Akuma had been in his right and calm state of mind he would have thought that the boy’s comeback was a pretty good one. He also would have come up with one of his own. But he was far to pissed of all ready to think of something. If this boy wanted to fight them then all he had to do was just ask.
He didn’t let the comment get to him or at least he didn’t let it show. Seeing the other boy’s smug grin only caused the meister to get a twisted smile in return. He balled his hand up into now moving ever so slightly closer to the green haired boy.
”Oh you’re a clever one aren’t you? Well if you want me to hit you all you had to do was ask.”
But the time for talking was over now. If this boy wanted to fight then so be it and Akuma wasn’t the type of guy that waited around to see who it was to throw the first punch. He had taken those few second to get a little closer to this kid only so that when he made his first move he wouldn’t have that much of a gap to close.
The other kid was smaller and a lot leaner then Akuma which told him he was probably faster than him which wasn’t saying much. He might be slower but his attacks had a lot more power behind them than most other people his size. Akuma pulled his right fist back and lunged at the kid now ready to strike him. He wasn’t expecting for his first punch to make contacted the other boy seemed a little too ready for it. No this was merely to see just how his appoint moved but if the hit did make its target it had all the power behind it that his normal punches did. He wasn’t messing around. It had been a few months since he had a good fight.

As soon as he saw the other kid break into a smile Dion knew he had got what he wanted. Sure there weren’t any other visible signs that he wanted to fight Dion but that wasn’t important. Dion had seen and been in plenty of fights that started with a similar smile before. Plus considering he followed that smirk with mention of hitting him Dion was pretty confident he was right. The only issue Dion had was he wasn’t positively sure what he wanted out of a fight, but he could figure that out while actually fighting. He would even be generous enough to give the other guy the first hit.
Could he have dodged or blocked the punch? Well probably but part of him didn’t want to. To be critical he did kind of deserve it and he did kind of just want to experience it. While the madness had taken over him for that brief moment inflicting and receiving pain were the most prominent thoughts in his cloudy mind. So he took the punch below his left eye and let it knock him off his feet. Falling back he landed on his back with a simple thud, laying there for a moment after the hit.
It hurt, that was as expected. Dion wasn’t sure to what extent the damage was but he could check on that later. A bruise or cut under his eye wasn’t anything he couldn’t handle so Dion wasn’t concerned in the slightest. Besides, the sensation of the pain and the rush of endorphins was more than enough to push any consequences to the back of his mind. He needed more and he needed to inflict some damage of his own, the craving was almost enough to cloud his mind over. Grinning manically for a brief moment he suppressed the desire to laugh.
Flattening his feet against the blacktop he activated his partial form and used his spear tips to anchor his feet. Lifting himself up with his legs and only the slightest assistance from his hands Dion got back to his feet and standing straight only slightly slower than he would have liked. Smirk left on his face he gave a moment of acknowledgement to the boy if a short one.
”Not bad.”
Having his arms hanging at his sides was intended and immediately came into play. His right arm shot up and then shot out. His fist was quick and aimed at the face of his opponent. The punch was fast but lacking in power and Dion knew that, he couldn’t go right into a good punch after his little getting up stunt and he knew that. Getting a quick punch in should let him prepare himself and not let his eccentric act go in vain.
Letting out a breath Dion relaxed his body and focused. He had his fun but if he didn’t at least take things a little seriously he was going to get his ass handed to him and that was not ok. Bending his knees slightly and extending his left foot in front of him he centered himself. Raising both his arms he took on a traditional fighting stance with his elbows in and hands balled into fist, his left in front of his right, before opening them into what he knew as hand spears. It wasn’t a perfect san chin stance but it would work for what he wanted. Smirk returning to his face he faced his opponent waiting.
”So what else you got blondie?”

Akuma raised an eyebrow at the little stunt this other kid pulled. So he was facing a spear weapon and from the looks of it the other kid had a good handle on his weapon form even if he didn’t have his meister with him. Akuma would just have to keep that in mind but all too quickly for the Japanese boy the other kid was on the move and damn was he fast. Akuma normally would have tried to bring his arm up to block his face but seeing as he was allowed to hit the other boy so Akuma let him hit as well.
He didn’t fall back like the other and the hit sung a little. Akuma’s head turned slightly away as he reach up with the back of his hand to feel his face. No blood but probably was going to be red later. He gave a laugh at this and turned to look back at the other boy as he got into a fighting stance.
”Geishas hit better than you.”
The statement was untrue Akuma almost had his nose broken by one just a week ago but that wasn’t important right now. Now was the time to really get things going. Both boys got a hit on each other but only because the other let them. Now this was going to become fun as Akuma got a devilish grin on his face taking a fighting stance that he had learned on the streets. He didn’t know any fancy moved but he knew how to fight his own way.
Akuma rushed forward at the other kid swinging his left hand out to make it look like he was going to punch him again. He was going a faint attack while he made it look like he was going to punch him with his left hand, assuming the kid would move out of the way he would move right, Akuma’s true intention was a kick. He moved for a punch but at the last few seconds he kicking with his right leg in the hopes to catch the other as he moved away.

That punch was given to him and that pissed Dion off even more. He was supposed to be the cocky one who let the other person hit him; if they did it back it ruined the whole feel! At least he didn’t play up the falling like Dion did but that didn’t make him feel much better. This kid even had the audacity to laugh afterwards to rub it in more. The only logical solution was to show this kid who he was dealing with! Dion would just have to make sure he felt the next attack and it sunk in.
“Those must be some manly ass geisha you deal with.”
Despite all this Dion couldn’t help but break into a small grin when he saw the other do so. Both of them were in the same mindset at the moment, albeit Dion’s was influenced by his previous experience with madness. Either way this would give Dion the rush of combat that he was craving and hopefully help him settle his mind. Seeing the kid get into his stance Dion’s grin grew wider at the oncoming violence and the familiarity. That wasn’t a combat stance anyone with training used, it was the stance of street fighting and that was all Dion could ever ask for.
Seeing the stance Dion was almost tempted to mimic him and take a stroll back to his roots with the fight but that was a tad too cocky. He didn’t know what this kid could do yet and handicapping himself wasn’t ideal in this situation. Against some random street thugs Dion could afford the risk but underestimating someone in Death City who most likely attended Shibusen was a grave mistake. He didn’t even know if he was fighting a fellow weapon or a meister yet and getting taken off guard was not something Dion planned on doing.
Rushing in with a hand ready to punch? Was this guy stupid or did he think Dion was? Anyone with even the slightest common sense could tell he was going for a feint even if Dion was more familiar with street fighting than an average person. Dion stood his ground while the fool rushed at him but loosened his stance. Dropping his hands he let them swing behind him as he took a step back from where he was standing. When the feint came Dion wasn’t far from the right and was prepared for the kick. Quickly moving back a bit more he used his momentum to move forward toward Akuma and swing his body into a flip, his foot extended to aim a kick for the jaw of his target. He could still show off and kick ass at the same time.

Dion was just a little too fast for Akuma and since he kick didn’t make its mark it caused the taller boy to become unbalanced. Dion’s kick hit him full on in the face causing him stumble back. Akuma reached up grasping at his jaw moving it around a bit. Not even close to being dislocated and while it hurt it only stung more than anything. He gave a little laugh as he got his balance back.
But rather than making a snarky remark Akuma opted to keep the fight going. While it was fun this little banter between the two boys he honestly wanted them both on their full game. He wanted a good fight. He wanted to beat the crap out of this kid and have the crap beaten out of him as well and he sure as shit wasn’t going to get that fight if they were just going to keep sassing each other.
Akuma rushed him again this time more hoping to tackle Dion than hit him full on. Dion was so much faster than the blond boy the only hope he had of getting a hit on him was to get him off his feet for just a few seconds. There was going to be no faint attack this time that was too amateur for him to try it again plus it was also to predictable. He has the weight and the strength on this other guy but the problem was going to pin him down to even get the hit he wanted to get on his. Akuma could take a lot of the hits Dion could give him that was clear already.
As he rushed Dion he was aiming low. He had already made it clear that he was a good jumper and Akuma was banking on that fact. If Akuma aimed low it kept him more balanced and that was something he needed to keep in mind. His lack of balance might be the big factor in this fight.

Dodging the kick was definitely in his favor and seemed to throw Akuma off enough for him to land his own kick. With the kick landed the flip continued on as it should and Dion landed on his feet slightly behind where he started. Unfortunately there was one major downside to his plan that was only heightened by him using a flip kick, the lack of power. In the air he only had what momentum he started with to translate into power and he didn’t have that much to go around in the first place. Well that shouldn’t be too much of a problem if he could keep his speed advantage.
The laugh only managed to add to Dion’s ever growing anger. Akuma was acting like the kick didn’t do anything and that was just insulting after how awesome he looked doing it. Light hits apparently weren’t going to work against him, he needed to cause some injury and focus less on being flashy. The lack of banter was a tad disappointing considering how much Dion loved doing it but that just meant all his energy could go to kicking his ass. With his balance back it looked like Akuma was going to try his next attempt and Dion’s attention went to it.
Rushing at him really? Well he had to give it to him, he was being creative. Jumping over him and maybe landing a kick to his back flashed through his mind but that would again lack the power that Dion needed to deliver. Landing on his back and jumping off would be flashy but do next to nothing as far as damage went. Sweeping his legs might work but it could also backfire and put him into a compromising position. He needed to do something that would hurt and not just look cool.
Calmly exhaling Dion faced the kid rushing at him and put his body into a san chin stance for maximum balance. Knees bent and feet firmly planted he looked Akuma dead on in preparation for the attack, it might hurt but he could send any pain right back. Activating his partial form his toes curled and the spear tips came out of his feet and pierced into the ground for some extra anchoring to the ground. If Akuma was rushing him Dion would be ready. Getting low like the blond boy Dion struck out with his elbows hoping to hit Akuma below his shoulders, with the momentum of Akuma running into him if he could get a solid hit on a pressure point he wouldn’t be laughing again.
