It had taken Kali several days to find the witch she was looking for and now she had her in her sights. She had spent several days on the train leaving India to get to Africa and while it is true that she can fly on a broom like other witches it is very hard to do so with an 800 pound tiger. Kali had a cart to herself where the cows where normally held. While it was rare for witches to show themselves too human she didn’t even need to. The only thing she had to do was tell the conductor that if he let anyone come into her compartment she would slaughter everyone on the train. And seeing as the man was from a village near her jungle he didn’t question her at all and was to afraid to tell anyone that her and her tiger where on the train. After her long train ride she had to walk the rest of the way with her tiger. It became clear to her that finding her witch sister would be harder than she thought. At many point along the way she would have to stop in villages and make it appear as thought she was a human looking for the witch to study her. At those times her tiger was left to his own far away from the population in fear of her being caught. She finely got a good lean and followed it. For a few days she wondered around the tall grass but finely stumbled up on the hyena witch. Kali was a bit shocked that she surrounded herself with so many hyenas. Kali was used to the solitude of the tigers. She had spent a few minutes watching the other witch. Even in the tall grass her and Shiva where hidden far too well. Kali waited for the right moment to strike and it came sooner then she thought. When Zuri got close to her spot in the tall grass Kali lepta from her hiding placing knocking the other witch to the ground sitting on her. She sat on Zuri’s stomach and started ticking the other witch. Zuri used laugher in most of her spells and knowing she was a hyena she loved to laugh so Kali thought it was best. Kali stopped and grinned down at the other woman. ”Thought I would stop by for a visit hope you don’t mind.”After she said that Shiva came walking out of the tall grass. He moved closer to the other witch on the ground and head bumped her purring. Kali looked at her tiger and then back down to Zuri. ”Seems like Shiva missed you as well.”

Zuri should have been asleep, but unfortunately sleep seemed to elude her recently. Normally at this point in the afternoon she would be resting alongside her clan of hyenas, napping the hottest part of the day away rather than suffer in sunlight. They’d even found a few trees to give them some much needed shade, even though the heat never had really bothered her much. She’d grown up in worse climates and lived through many a drought. Sunlight only meant that she would be awake for certain rather than asleep once dusk approached. Still, Zuri wished she wasn’t on such high alert, but she couldn’t help it. Ever since that run in with the sorcerer had happened, Zuri had been completely out of sorts. While the prospect of stirring up more trouble was nothing but exciting to her, the fact that someone so powerful had actively sought them out unsettled her greatly. She didn’t trust him, not one bit, and then there was the whole thing with that creature of his having stolen her and Kali’s magic, or at least some of it. Rubbing her arms even though it was swelteringly hot out, she couldn’t stop a chill going through her. Zuberi whined and batted a paw at her knee. Giving the hyena a grin, she scratched him behind the ears and snickered, “Don’t you worry, I’ll be fine in a bit. I just have some planning to do is all.”Planning indeed, but that would have to wait as the Witch was not alone. Asha lay a little ways away from Zuri. Suddenly raising her head, the hyena’s ears turned forwards as she stared intently at a patch of the tall grass. Perplexed, Zuri stood and wandered to where her second in command was, “Asha? What is i-“Zuri was pounced upon before she knew what was happening. Who in the world would be-wait, was that Kali? Lifting her head from the ground, it was indeed the tigress who had rendered her earthbound, going so far to sit on her stomach. Before she could say anything though she was being tickled within an inch of her life. A huge grin spread over her face and high pitched, shrill giggled started pouring from her lips faster than she could stop them. The other hyenas were either ignoring the two in favor of sleeping or entirely confused. Asha put her head back down and threw a paw over her nose, embarrassed at her alpha’s behavior. Zuberi booped his nose against Kali’s shoulder, wondering who this stranger was. At last Kali relented in her tickling and Zuri’s giggles died down as she caught her breath, smile still in place and Zuberi looking very confused. Sitting up, Zuri threw her arms around her friend and hugger her, “Of course I don’t mind! Kali dear, you are always welcome here!”Releasing her friend, Zuri snickered and leaned over, bumping her head upon Shiva’s shoulder and grinning, “Well I missed him, too. No tigers out here, only those pesky lions for the most part, no thanks to my sister.”But enough of that. As Zuberi tentatively padded over to Shiva to sniff the cat’s paws, Zuri placed her hands on her hips and looked to Kali, “What brings you all the way out here? I didn’t think you were the type to travel so far from home.”

Kali got to her feet now reaching down and helping her sister witch to her feet as well. She smiled at Zuri remake and gave a little laugh looking around the tall grass.
”You’re correct I’m not one to travel but sometimes it just nice to get away. Plus I wanted to see my sister’s home. You have already seen mine.”
Her eyes followed the hyena as he patted over to the tiger. The big cat looked at the other beat as his ear went back. As the hyena went to sniff his paw Shiva took a swipe at him. It wasn’t aimed to hurt the other animal just to show he didn’t like him near. The tiger growled and stalked over to where the two witches where.
The blue man stood on the other side of Kali looking at the hyena that he just scared his eyes narrowed. Kali reaches her hand out to him placing it on his shoulder laughing a bit. ”My love it’s all right.” The man’s eyes move to meet his witches as he gives a huff at this crossing his arms over his chest. ”I will not have that thing sniff my paws Kali.” Kali’s eyes narrow at his as her hand suddenly moves to the back of his neck grasping at it. This caused him to double over as she put force on the back of his neck. She spoke in a low voice now looking at the back of his head. ”You will deal with it and you will not harm these hyenas do you understand me? Zuri is my sister and so treat her hyenas as such. If they want to sniff your paws let them little man.” Kali pulled her hand away harshly taking some of his hair with her.
After Kali had pulled her hand away from the back of the tiger’s neck it gave a whine and laid down where it was. Kali turned her attention back to the other witch now that Shiva knew his place again.
”I am sorry about that Shiva was out of line. My tiger forget his place sometimes even if he does have my lover’s soul in him.”
She glances down to the cat who looks up at her and making a strange sound. It was an affection sound that tigers made by blowing air threw their cheeks. She smiles down at the cat now and looked back to the other witch with a more serious look on her face.
”There is also another reason why I came all the out here to see you Zuri and it is about what happened in the witch realm.
Kali was also having problems getting rest as her mind couldn’t stop thinking about what had happen there. Could he really be what he claimed to be? It disturbed her to even think about how easy it was for him to take most of her magic and her voice as well. She needed to talk to Zuri bout this just the two of them to figure out what their next move would be.

Zuri supposed that response made sense. It did seem only fair that Kali see precisely where she called home, even if she tended to move around depending on the season and weather patterns. Occasional spats with her elder sisters also sometimes warranted a change in scenery, but she was usually safe so long as she hid for a bit and backed off a few miles to older territories. As Shiva swatted at Zuberi, the hyena made a yelping noise even though he hadn’t been hurt. He ducked his head down and hid behind Zuri who only laughed at his lack of common sense,
“That’ll teach you.”
Zuberi whined and rubbed his face into the witch’s shoulder but she ignored him. He’d learned his lesson, or at least she hoped he had. Glancing over to the tiger, Zuri gave a snicker at Kali reprimanding him, waving a hand to dismiss her worries,
“Not to worry, Kali dear. This one gets into a fair share of trouble, it’s about time someone taught him that everywhere is an appropriate place to stick his nose.”
Another whine came from Zuberi and Zuri rolled her eyes, twisting around to wrap her arms around the hyena’s shoulders in a mock hug. He didn’t seem to mind, but with his ears on sideways he looked more ashamed of himself than anything. Asha ignored them still, lying by Zuri’s side half asleep with her nose twitching every now and again. Keeping the hyena in her grip, she scratched him behind the ears before turning her attention back to Kali.
At the mention of recent events, though, Zuri felt a chill go through her. The hair on the back of her neck stood on end and she took an awkward glance around. Zuri was paranoid enough on a day to day basis but due to recent events her need to be aware of her surroundings at all times had skyrocketed. Sensing his alpha’s discomfort, Zuberi stuck his head beneath her chin and gave a low rumbling sound in his throat before licking her cheek. Zuri made a face and gave a half giggle at the canine’s antics,
“That’s sweet of you, Kali dear. As loathe as I am to admit it, I haven’t slept much since then. I keep thinking that I will wake up to find him standing over me with that terrible black sludge in his hand. I know we agreed to help him, but I don’t trust him, not in the slightest.”

Kali nodded her head in agreement with Zuri as she reached out to pet the top of the tigers head. Shiva looked to her and even thought he was just a tiger he has a worried look about his eyes. They looked his witch over and he moves to place his head in her lap and a large paw around her in an almost mock hug. Kali looked down to give and gave a sigh.
”I too have not been sleeping well and let me tell you that is one thing I am very good at.”
She smiled back up to Zuri making a joke of the fact that if left alone Kali could and would sleep for at least eighteen hours. But now with these troubling thought she has only gotten a few hours sleep a night. She had woken several times from a nightmare and Shiva had informed her that she would be screaming most of the night. She felt no better knowing that Zuri was as creped out as she was.
”I don’t trust him as well but I also think that is just in our nature. I have been thinking about what he has claimed to be and do you think… Do you think he is really what he says he is? To my knowledge there hasn’t been one like him in centuries or at least in our life time. His power frightens me Zuri and not much does that. He was able to take some of your magic and most of mine and… My voice.”
The image slowly crept back into her mind of that black oozing man speaking in her voice. There was something far more then unnerving about seeing that. Kali gives another sight as Shiva sits up wrapping his paw around her shoulder and rubbing his head to her cheek to try and calm her. Kali moves her arms around his shoulders being herself closer to him barring her face in his soft fur.
”At last I have had Shiva here to calm me when I start to become afraid of what happened to us. Zuri we need to make a plane just in case if he turns on us.”
There would always be that fear in her back of her mind. She didn’t know this man and he had already done so much harm to her and now to her sister. The needed a safety net before they made a move to go and meet him faces to face.

So Kali too hadn’t been getting much sleep lately. Good to know if only to have the reassurance that she wasn’t the only one on her toes. To have anything render her even mildly uneasy set Zuri intensely on edge, but having the knowledge that one as powerful as the tigress was unnerved was a greater comfort than she expected. She supposed Kali did have a point. It could very well just be part of their nature. If you weren’t another witch, you were excluded, but that was just a given. No one else understood them like their sisters did, and even then there was infighting.
Zuri’s nose twitched and Zuberi decided to lean. The laughing witch released him and let him flop across her lap, ears still on sideways with his mouth open and panting from the heat. She rolled her eyes and ran her hands over spotted fur. He could be such a drama queen. Thinking for a moment longer, she spoke up again,
“If the power he displayed in the Witch’s Realm is anything to go by, I’d say he’s telling the truth. There aren’t many who could manage to break into our realm with a puppet such as he did, even as a means of communication and not downright infiltration which he himself said he was incapable of. I can’t remember the last I even heard a sorcerer mentioned. I must have been quite young, I know my mother had stories including one, but it’s been so long. Still, given what we’ve seen and his actions so far, I believe he is telling the truth. I can’t think of any who would be foolish enough to lie, after all.”
Zuri paused in petting the hyena currently occupying her lap. Zuberi vaguely wagged his tail and squirmed until she returned to scratching him behind the ears. Watching Kali hug the enormous tiger brought a smile to Zuri’s face, gentler than most. She leaned down and kissed the top of Zuberi’s head and snickered,
“I know the feeling. I don’t think I would be able to sleep without my clan. They know that I’m upset; they’ve all been crowding around me lately. A mass of furry, spotted pillows is comforting, but their squirming can be troublesome at times.”
So could the heat, but Zuri was used to it. As for the plan. She straightened her back; letting masses of tight curls hang back behind her shoulders. Adopting a more serious expression, she turned her golden eyes on Kali,
“I’ve already set something in motion. I’m planning to visit one of our sisters in North America soon. I would try to stay within my own territories, but asking my sisters for help is virtual suicide and desperate times call for desperate measures. She is the witch of blood; I’ve heard tell of her even all the way out here. She is supposedly as powerful as she is insane, though, so I am of course cautious.”
But what else could she do? At the moment, she would take insane and powerful over insanely powerful before anything. She did not trust the sorcerer, but she would not make a move against him, not yet. However it never hurt to have a backup plan just in case.

Kali listen to Zuri carefully her eyes narrowed a bit in understanding as she pulled away from her enormous tiger. I had been luck that Zuri and Kali had meet and truly only for the fact that Zuri had left her homelands that time and now she was about to do it again but with a new witch. She gave a slight node of her head as her began to absentmindedly pet Shiva behind his ears.
”I am sorry but I have never heard of this witch than again we both know that I don’t get out much and I don’t know much about our other sister. If she is truly what you clam her to be than be careful. I know we are all a little insane but some of us more than others and we aren’t the most loyal things around. . . But I do trust your judgment Zuri and I trust that bringing this witch into our fold with give us at least an upper hand if this man choses to strike back at us.”
The thought of him gave her shivers again but this time she was meet with arms wrapping around her. The blue man held her tight in his grip ads he rested his head on the back on her shoulder his long wavy back hair falling around her.
”My love please stop upsetting yourself over this other man. You are strong like the goddess you are named after. You and Zuri should have no right to fear him so much. I beg of you my love please stop fretting over this.”
Kali’s eyes looked to him as she reached her hand up to place at the crown of his head giving him a soft smile.
”Oh Shiva my love I will try to calm my nerves if only to please you.”
The tiger has moved closer to Kali and placed his massive paws around her like a hug resting his large head on the back of her shoulder. It growled a low growl to Kali to which she had responded by resting her hand on the top of his head and answering him. She turned to look back at Zuri now giving a little smile.
”I am sorry about that Shiva is upset over the fact that we both are very distraught over this man. Zuri I wish you all the luck when it comes to meeting our sister but we must also think of a plan as well. I mean we don’t even know what he wants to use us for truly and that is what worries me. I can’t bear the thought of being used and us getting nothing in return for it. When we meet him in Egypt we need to make demands of him. We have to show him we will not work for free and that we are very powerful witches that he shouldn’t cross.”
The tiger puffed his cheeks out in affection at Kali’s words rubbing his head on her back as cats so often do to ones they adore. Kali chose to ignore her tiger’s affection and kept her eyes on Zuri. Even if Shiva was glad that Kali was going to stand up she still needed the support of Zuri. There was no way she would be able to do this on her own.
