A Strong Body

Appearance: Karina has long, light brown hair that reaches down to about 1/4 of the way down her back, but it's usually tied in a high ponytail. She has a medium build with a bit of chub on her, as well as somewhat big feet. Her hazel eyes aren't at the best they could be, so she has to wear glasses to see things from far away, and her chest is medium sized. Her nails are mostly gone from her bad habit of biting her nails, and her lips have a tendency to have scabs or be chapped. When she walks, her feet tend to stay mostly straight forward, but she's usually slightly hunched over.

She normally is wearing her glasses, but on special occasions she chooses to wear contacts. Her shirt is black t-shirt with a silver wing decal on it, along with a white hooded sweatshirt that has a sequined star on the back of it. She wears a pair of worn blue jeans and black sneakers with a zipper on the side of them, as well as laces. Her ears are pierced and she almost always has heart earrings in, which go up her ear. Also, her socks are usually mismatched with some strange pattern, and are knee highs, even when she wears pants. Almost never is she seen without her IPod and headphones.

Height: 5 ft. 6 in.

Weight: About 142 lbs.

Fighting Style: If possible, she would rather avoid having to fight without a Meister, but if necessary, she isn't very good at it. She would partially transform and attack that way, relying mostly on that. If that doesn't really work for some reason, she will kick and punch, but none of it really is quite effective.

Personality:Normally, Karina is shy around new people and won't approach anyone she doesn't know. If anyone comes up to her that she doesn't know, she acts shy, yet defensive, from her past experiences. Until she gets to be friends with someone, she won't really say much, and will look down a lot. She'll usually stick to herself, most likely in the back of a room or the corner, and doesn't like being in a spot of attention.

When she is friends with someone, you can hardly get her to stop talking to them, but she hardly ever initiates the conversation. Sometimes she can be a bit offending and not realize it, but when someone points it out, good luck getting her to stop apologizing about it. Really, she's a bit more talkative. She might sing around someone when she's friends with them, but it's unlikely, considering she's quite shy about it. She might also draw for them, but her drawings are just mediocre. She'll also swear more the more she's friends with them.

Around her partner, when she would find one, she would be even more open to them, which is to be expected. As it gets later at night, she's more likely to talk to her partner about things that trouble her. Also, she'll put more effort into any drawings she'll give them, as well as sing more around them. At this point, she'll swear without a second thought, being closest to her partner.

She'll take things such as insults pointed towards her, after a while she didn't care about those things as much. If anyone decides to insult one of her friends or her partner, then it's on. She wouldn't stand for anything like that at all.

It doesn't take much to anger her, but she won't explode until she's extremely angry. Until she does, she stews in her anger, snipping at everyone. If someone wakes her up, she'll be quite grumpy, as she isn't a morning person.

Inside the Soul

Weapon form: Karina's weapon form is a power drill that wraps around the Meister's hand, like a shell around it. The drill it self is large and cone-shaped and steel colored. The part that wraps around the Meister's hand is black and blue, it starts at black by the drill, then fades to blue at the end of the enclosing piece of the Meister's hand. On the inside is a trigger that is pulled when the Meister pulls their hand closed into a fist. Depending on how tightly they clench, the drill bit rotates faster.

Partial Form: When she's partially transformed, her right hand turns into the drill, although it isn't the encasing part, just the drill bit its self. She can control the speed without having to clench her fists, seeing as her hand is the bit.

Strengths: She has quick reflexes, has a high defense, has a high pain tolerance, and she's somewhat agile.

Weaknesses: She's not very physically strong, she gets short of breath quickly, and has poor eyesight which makes her need glasses, and is more effected by the sway of madness.

Hobbies: Drawing, writing, singing, being on the internet, listening to music, and sleeping.

Likes: Strawberries, ice cream, music (specifically Rise Against), birds, drawing, reading, and writing.

Dislikes: Bugs in general (even butterflies and ladybugs), snakes, skirts, tomatoes, and being sick.

Aspirations: She wants to become a psychologist, but since coming to Shibusen she wants to become a Death Scythe.

History: Coming from a small city in New York that she had lived in all her life, she hadn't been much of anywhere, even with the places she visited for vacations. Growing up, her parents fought almost every day when her father got home from work, and then he also would come and yell at Karina from stress at his work that had nothing to do with her. Even through that, she was still a happy-go-lucky child.

When she was around 9 years old her parents divorced, leaving her torn up and emotional. After a while, she just shut down, showing few emotions and allowing her grades to drop. After things had settled down a bit from the divorce, she was happier than she had been before, but was never quite as happy as she used to be.

Since she had entered the local junior high, Karina had been insulted, threatened, and taken down in almost every way possible at the hands of classmates. Of course she had to have her locker next to one of those who tormented her. She was never very popular, and just stuck to herself, usually drawing. She was mediocre in school and had taken violin as an instrument, as well as partaking in the after school chess club, and the school chorus.

After one day, she had had enough of them. After school, as she was waiting for a ride home, a group of three girls had walked by, shooting a pointed comment at her. So she sent one back. That set off a chain reaction of a shove from one of them, a shove back from Karina, then a punch from the same one of the group of three girls. From there, things went downhill.

She had transformed one of her hands without realizing it, then took a stab at the one who punched her. It narrowly missed the girl, which then Karina was called a freak and they ran off. Astonished, Karina transformed back her hand, not even sure how she did it. After what had happened, her divorced parents had agreed on one thing, to send her to Shibusen after being contacted by them, for obvious reasons. From there, she was dropped at Shibusen.

At the beginning of her time there, she was homesick, as well as elated to be away from her mother, whom she normally argued with at home. She missed her father, whom she was closer to, as well as the two dogs at her mother's house, and the three kittens at her father's house. She spends most of her time back in her dorm where only she is, since she doesn't have a roommate.

One day, during a phone call with her father, he told her that his own father was actually a weapon that went to Shibusen, but had never become a Death Scythe before he decided to leave. She was never told what his weapon form was, and she really didn't care. After that, she really didn't communicate with either of her parents and ignored her homesickness. From then on, she focused more on finding a partner to get past being in the NOT class.

RP Sample: She had a rolling suitcase beside her right side, and a backpack slung over her left shoulder. Staring up at the massive staircase, she suddenly felt small and exhausted. "I have to climb up all those? Really?" Karina whined, pushing up her glasses. Really, she wasn't for all these stairs. She was expecting to be stabbed at whatever kishin eggs were, not having to climb up Nevada's biggest staircase. She sighed, ready to quit before she even started up them.

Shaking her head, she started up. Her headphones broadcasting the sound of one of the many tracks by Rise Against contained within the IPod they were attached to. As her trek began, the suitcase clacked up the stairs. Karina wasn't used to the Nevada heat, and soon had to stop. Shrugging the backpack off, she tied the sweatshirt around her waist, taking care enough to leave the earphone cord free. Picking back up the backpack, she started off again.

Nearing the top of the stairs, she was glad it was almost over. She wiped the sweat off her forehead while she climbed, her legs burning from her first trek up the stairs. Upon her arrival at the top of the stairs, she collapsed in her exhaustion, flinging the backpack next to her and lying the suitcase on the other side. Staring up at the sun with the permanent grin on its face, she let out a sigh of exasperation and victory. "I made it." A weary smile spread on her face as she closed her eyes. "I made it to Shibusen."

Karina looks great! There's just two little things we’d like you to tweak.

Firstly is her history. We’re only given a little snippet and would honestly like to see a bit more. Is there a history of Weapons in her family, or is she the first in a long time to have this trait? How was her transition to Shibusen? Did she want to go or was she just sort of made to due to being ostracized? Where is she from? Those kinds of things, just a little bit more about her background.

You are also missing two things you will find by reading the General Rules and the Character Rules.

Alright, I added more history to her, and I put in what I was missing from the two sections. I knew I had to, I just forgot since it was about midnight when I finished. Hope the application is acceptable now!
