Leroux; Zia; Weapon
Name: Ziamanda Elisabeta Leroux
Nickname: Zia
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Race: Weapon (Demon Gauntlet)
Position: Student
Class: One Star
Partner: Who is that special person?
A Strong Body
Picture:
Appearance: The first thing you might notice about this Demon Weapon is her shock of white hair - in reality, a very pale blonde that is so light as to appear white. Her eyes are a golden brown, and her eyebrows are very small, the hair so fine and light that it appears she has coin-shaped circles instead of full eyebrows. Her face is heart shaped and round, her skin olivey tan in complexion. Her shape is largely boyish, with a flat bust and no hips, of which she is slightly self-conscious.
For clothing, she often wears tank tops and short shirts that show her midriff and bare her arms. She hates wearing long sleeves and will try to wear summer clothing all through the year - living in warm climates has given her a perpetual distaste and deep suspicion of winter clothing. She usually wears some sort of cargo shorts, capris, or breezy skirts (with shorts underneath - she's an active person, and doesn't want to show anything while she's clambering about and running). She usually is trying to cover her lack of curves with baggy clothing, at least when it comes to pants. On her feet are simple sandals or, more likely, no shoes at all.
Her clothing is quite basic - it's the mounds of jewelry she wears that make her look complicated. She wears bangles on her neck, ankles, and wrists, large earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces - always, always gold in color. However, most of it is actually cheap metal, and Zia is more of the sort to care about how shiny and nice it looks than how much it costs. Most of her jewelry is gotten from her sisters, who own a small stand and sell it to tourists in Cairo, but Zia doesn't mind. She loves how it feels on her arms and she likes the weight of it.
Height: 5'3.5"
Weight: 130 lbs.
Fighting Style:
Zia never has formal fighting training - all she knows is picked up from her sisters, who told her the most important advice she ever heard: "As long as you win, it doesn't matter how."
Developing her own personal style of dirty tricks and backhanded maneuvers, Zia is pretty scrappy, good for a quick bout and a fast fight. She prefers to hit and run, using her opponents weight against her and preferring humiliation and her wit to call for the end of the fight instead of beating her opponent into submission. Her strength is in her speed. She doesn't so much like fighting as much as beating people at their own games, and likes to send her opponents away barely battered physically but a loser in every sense.
Personality: Born with a sharp wit and a wicked smile, it's hard to tell if Zia is a true optimist or simply a practiced clown. She enjoys a good laugh, considering herself a master of snark, but mean-spirited isn't a word that applies to her. Zia's jests are often to a crowd, and she's happiest when she can make people smile.
It's very rare to see her with a serious expression, but her easygoing nature belies a very intelligent mind. Zia loves to learn, jumping from subject to subject with a voracious appetite, stacks of books by her bed as she reads late into the night. It's always a genuine pleasure for her to learn something new, and it's not unusual to see her pouring over difficult books for no other reason than to expand her mind. She keeps this hidden from all but her closest peers, however, preferring to be seen as the class clown and enjoying the image she has cultivated of herself. She wears it like armor - she likes battles of the wits and riddles, especially if she can best someone, but she doesn't let on how smart she is in fear of alienating herself from the easy acquaintances she surrounds herself with. She craves attention, and although Zia could garner praise for academics or knowledge without much difficulty, she finds it easier (and safer) to entertain with humor. Most of her friendships are superficial for this reason, although she makes friends easily and enjoys the company of others. Making people laugh distracts them from looking too closely at her.
It isn't that she is self-concious, but she wants to be accepted and liked, and Her greatest fear is rejection. So that she's always in control, she doesn't let anyone get close, so that it's impossible for her to get hurt. If you confronted her about it, she would laugh and wave the concern away, whether she's aware that she's doing it or not. This can make her seem disloyal and a bit flaky, but she has a good heart and is quick to jump to the aid of anyone nearby. She has a very strong sense of justice and common sense, but if someone needs help she tends to leap in without thinking. Her mouth and her occasional rash behavior can land her in trouble, but Zia rarely regrets any of her actions. She does what she feels is right, and she can't complain if she gets disciplined because of it (although that doesn't stop her from actually complaining.)
Inside the Soul
Weapon form: As a Demon Gauntlet, Zia can transform into what appears to be a metal glove that fits on her meister's hand, covering all flesh up to the elbow. It's very large, and although it does not weigh more than the meister's actual hand, the gauntlet is at least twice the size of a normal appendage. The metal is gold in color, although very strong, and plated for ease of movement. When wearing the Gauntlet, the meister is able to grapple with greater ease, and their strength is largely increased. Wearing the Gauntlet allows the meister to pick up heavy objects, hit with greater force, shield more of their body, etc.
Partial Form: Zia's partial form is quite limited - by using the metal plating, she can turn her left fist and upper forearm into a sort of shield. It resembles the scalloped plating of the gauntlet, and is good for a quick parry.
Out of your Mind
Strengths:
- agile
- fast
- high endurance
Weaknesses:
- low strength
- weak strategist
- poor stamina
Hobbies:
In her free time, Zia can be found reading, watching objectively stupid slapstick comedies, and snacking. She also enjoys napping, but only if she stayed up late with a book! She's very active, loving to take walks, and she finds no greater pleasure than a good walk and simultaneous conversation with a friend. However, her second-favorite pasttime (after reading!) is making people laugh. She goes to (perhaps foolish) lengths to get a chuckle, but it's all in good fun. Zia likes making people happy, and humor is her way of fulfilling that.
Likes:
- reading (especially non-fiction)
- jewelry
- curry
- action movies
- slapstick
Dislikes:
- sweet food
- swimming
- tragedies
- winter
- her full name
Aspirations: Before she learned of her weapon status, Zia wanted to be an archeologist like her father or a police woman. She still harbors a wish to do those things, but the idea of bring a DeathScythe is much more exciting!
History: Ziamanda Leroux was born to an Egyptian mother and a French-American father, proud parents who lavished their daughters with love. Zia's father, Alister, was a archeologist who oversaw digs in Egypt. Her mother, Naja, was a doctor, and met Alister when he broke his leg falling off a pyramid. They fell in love and were together ever since. The family moved often because of Alister's job, never spending more than three years in one location, but they finally returned to Cairo when Zia was 13, Alister retired from Archeology, and settled, Naja beginning work again as a surgeon.
Caralinda and Sophitia, Zia's older sisters, were twins (12 years older than Zia) who argued often and picked on Zia affectionately. While Caralinda was sent to Shibusen when she realized her Demon Needle prowess at 15, Sophitia pursued her passion of art and opened a jewelry shop when she was old enough, and eventually Caralinda joined her. She had become injured fighting a particularly nasty Kishin Egg, and retired from the fight to join her sister in the jewelry business. They enjoyed quite a lot of success, and Zia would often stop in their store (half to say hello and half to wheedle free bracelets from her sisters).
Most of her time was spent with her father on the digsite or with her mother, reading in the shade of ancient buildings. Zia spoke good English because of her father's teachings, and Egyptian Arabic as her first language, but he insisted she also learn French, and Latin besides, giving her books to read as he wrote research papers under his large green lamp. (She smuggled in less academic tomes, usually regarding handsome men and makeouts.) Since her family moved so often, her father took it upon himself to teach her, schooling her in the evenings after the African sun had gone down. Zia was an attentive pupil, relishing the interesting topics her father introduced her to, sharing books and bringing half-priced finds to him from bazaars and small shops. Once the family moved back to Cairo, her reading increased as her father had more time. She began hungering for new topics, piling up stacks to sit by her bed, lost in a mountain of paper. Zia's mother laughed when she would see her daughter and husband halfway through breakfast, spoons halfway to their mouths, lost in another world, clothing sloppy and hair in disarray.
In this way, 16 years past. Zia realized her Demon Gauntlet status (an unsurprising event, since there was a long tradition of Demon Weapons on both sides of the family), and excited about the new life ahead of her, Zia picked up books on Kishin Eggs and Famous Weapons, packed her trunk, and confidently strode into Shibusen. It didn't matter that she tripped going up the stairs - she was still going to be the best weapon ever.

RP Sample:
Curled up in blankets, Zia squeezed her eyes shut against the morning light streaming through the window. Her alarm went off, jarring and abrasive, and a sleepy Zia clicked the snooze button, blearily noting the time. 5:02. She closed her eyes and slowly inched her way off the bed, sliding herself out of her sheets, stumbling into the kitchen.
Her face hit the side of the closet and she suddenly realized with perfect clarity that she wasn't at home, but at school. At Shibusen. In a dorm. Where there was no door to the kitchen on the right. Oh.
She rubbed her nose, wondering how hard she had slept to forget where she was. Glancing out the window, she noted how dark the sky still was. There were pink traces on the horizon, what little she could see of it, and she cursed jet lag. It was throwing everything off. It felt like 4 pm. She hadn't slept well for two days. Opening the closet and grabbing her day attire, she made a mental note not to fall asleep at Nevada Time 3 PM. Zia was determined to kick this time change in the teeth. But while she was up, might as well see the city as it was in the morning.
Several minutes later, she was walking outside, bracelets jingling faintly as she moved. The streetlamps began to be turned off as she walked by, the moon still grinning his lurid grin. It was very quiet, with the same morning chill as she was used to. At least she didn't have to adapt to any strange climate, she thought. Nevada and Egypt were both dry and hot. All the same, she felt goosebumps on her bare arms, although she wasn't sure if it was because it was cold or because she was feeling a rush of excitement - like she always got when she explored a new place.
"Hello," she said to Death City. Her greeting was met with silence, but the moon smiled down at her, sitting high above in the faint pink of the morning sky.

Alright this character looks awesome! Just a few things to adjust in a certain area. -For her weapon form one part confuses me "and the strength of channeled through the arm is increased fivefold" does she mean just strength or wavelength? It already looks like you want to go with the strength increaser so I would stick to enhancing the meister's strength and maybe purchase the ability to enhance wavelength later. -Last is the partial form. New weapons are allowed one partial form so she would only be able to transform one part of her body. You can always buy more partial forms later but to start you can only have one. Considering her weapon form I would suggest the fist of her dominant hand but the choice is up to you~ Just tweak those parts and you'll be all set
