The whispers had caught Céleste’s attention first. Hushed voices having circulated through the hallways, students running to find their friends with looks of worry and fright upon their faces. Something was up, but she hadn’t been quite sure what exactly was transpiring. She’d been heading towards the next class up on her schedule, made almost impossible by the crowds of students suddenly cowering in groups in the hallways. There hundreds of different voices, some frightened, others worried, and some foolishly determined, but there had been a trend that had been fairly easy to pick up on,
“Did you see it?”
“Yeah, outside! I ran as fast as I could!”
“What does it want?”
“It’s like some demented bird, it’s so creepy!”
Céleste had narrowed her eyes at the different comments reaching her ears. Whatever was up, it was transpiring outside of the school. Deciding her class would just have to wait, the blonde had strode forward through the crowds of students with purpose. And that, of course, had been when the madness hit. An ear-splitting scream had torn through the hallways and she had watched several around her fall instantly to their knees, hands clapped over their ears to try and shield themselves from the pain. Céleste had paled and let out a wince, covering her own ears and grimacing. Merde, what in the hell was that?
Whatever it was, Céleste would find out, but first she had something more important to attend to, and that was the students around her. Those lying on the ground needed to be helped, those affected by the madness calmed down. The blonde did her best, sifting through students one by one, trying to comfort and calm them even as she herself felt the claws of madness tearing at her mind. It was a constant whispering voice, toying with her conscience and questioning her abilities, urging her to give in and crumble beneath its sway. Céleste was having none of it, keeping her focus on the students and how she needed to help them, reassuring them that it would all be alright, that she was there to protect them.
She didn’t know how long she spent caring for her students. She helped several get into classrooms, just so those who could no longer stand could at least be seated somewhere they felt mildly safe. To those who were maddened, she did what she could to snap them out of it, drag them back into sanity’s realm. However long it had been, the screaming had quite suddenly stopped. If anything, that worried Céleste more. Having expected the worse, she entrusted the student she’d been trying to help to the nurse’s office to one of the other teachers and hurried to the front doors of Shibusen as quickly as possible. Even after all that, there was still a small crowd she had to push through to get out, and there it was.
There was a blonde young man lying motionless near a rather eccentric looking girl and what she assumed were a partnered pair of students. Glancing around, her gaze then fell on a green haired boy, hunched over and bleeding. Keeping a close eye on…whatever that thing before her was, she waved a hand towards the students gathered around, her voice steady and her tone stern even though she couldn’t have been more worried,
“Everyone get back! Step back immediately, no one go near it!”
Céleste kept an eye on the figure and hurried to the green haired boy’s side, kneeling beside him and laying a gentle hand on his shoulder. He needed to be taken to the infirmary as soon as possible, but she couldn’t just take him and leave the other students alone with that figure. It would have to wait as much as she hated the thought of having to stall an injured student’s medical treatment. Pursing her lips, Céleste drew a handkerchief from her pocket and dabbed at the blood trickling from the young man’s mouth, trying to appear calm even as her thoughts swarmed around like a bunch of worried and frightened bees,
“Don’t worry; we’ll get you to the nurse as soon as possible. Just hang in there, okay? Promets-moi?”
Céleste could tell the poor thing was barely conscious, but she tried to comfort him anyway. Slowly standing, it was then that the creature spoke. Whipping her head around, the blonde stared. A message? After all that, it was a messenger? The Frenchwoman could have spat fire. Clutching the bloodied handkerchief in her hand, she marched towards the thing with purpose, coming to a halt not five feet from the thing, staring it down with as much confidence as she could must,
“I am a teacher of Shibusen. My name is Céleste Lefevre. If you have a message then I would suggest you give it to me. Now.”
She would not try and fight it, not unless it tried to attack again. Even so, she could only do so much on her own with Soul Purge and other fighting tactics. Ideally she would have another teacher, a Weapon, to back her up, but alas no one else appeared present at the time. So be it. She wouldn’t let the creature hurt the students any further regardless. She would protect them at all costs.

It all happened so quickly. Klaus and the green hair boy had attacked that thing. In a flash the two boys had been throw away from the monster that it had pulled Tori's attention from the other girl and back to them. She watched as Klaus fell not to far away and it looked like he wasn't hurt that bad, but the other hand been flung threw the air like a rage doll and hit the wall and slid down it. That could be good at all. Tori could hear her weapon saying something in her hand but her mind was on the other boy. It looked bad.
He had hit the wall with such force she was sure he had broken something. It didn't even occur to her that the screaming had stopped. Her eyes where fixed on the other boy. They only moved away when she saw a teacher finely came out to see what was going on. She stood there watching as the teacher had gone to the other and then addressed the monster. It had said something but Tori didn't her it.She turned and looked down at the weapon in her hand with a very serious look on her face.
"Dante we need to help him out. We got to get him out of here before that thing does something else."
Tori let go of her weapon so that he could change back into his human form and ran over to the other boy. She didn't really have to bend far but she bent down next to him gently placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Hey I am going to get you out of here all right? You got to try and stay with me okay? I don't want you passing out you might have a concussion from that hit."
Tori nodded her head to her weapon indicating for him to fallow her lead as she took the green hair boy's arm and slung it over her shoulder to help him stand up.
"Come on you got to try and walk. I know it must be painful but you have got to try."
This was going to be a task getting him out of harms way as it seemed the teacher was going to face this thing down. The last thing they all needed was a fight to brake out.

Klaus was confident he could land his attacks on the being. Yet at the same time, he knew little of its strength. If it was able to bring all of Death City on its knees, it was something definitely beyond the strength of a One Star. His flurry of punches made contact with something, but it definitely wasn't the creature. A translucent red barrier manifested itself around the creature in the form of a hemisphere. Sparks ejected all around at the point at which Klaus' shied fist met it. He clenched his teeth as he felt the shock from the energy. The shield over his right arm turned orange from the accumulating heat. But that in itself did not affect him as much. As a shield, he was supposed to take an immense beating. He dug his feet in, trying to break through the barrier through sheer strength and force of will.
What came after took him by complete surprise. The barrier exploded, sending both him and Dion flying back. Klaus himself was surprised since no one for the most part had ever been able to knock him off of his feet. It was a classic clash between unstoppable force and the immovable object, and this time the object less. Klaus hit the ground not to far from the creature, but he had been thrown with enough force that he was tumbling back. Quickly he tumbled back onto his feet, digging deep furrows into the ground until he stopped. His green-haired compatriot was less fortunate. He didn't watch him get tossed, but he saw the aftermath. Shrugging off the barrier attack now that he was away from it, Klaus flapped his right arm around as he ran for Dion, the orange glow on the shield gradually diminished back down, cooled by the air. The teacher who had arrived on the scene would be better equipped to deal with the thing.
But now that someone more qualified arrived, immediate attention was diverted to Dion. While Klaus had gotten off lightly, Dion had not. "T-Tori!" Klaus shouted to his new acquaintance. "We need to get him out of here quickly!" For once Klaus sounded nothing like timid. Action had to be taken, and his normal inhibitions were at the bottom of priorities. With Tori only helping, it'd take a while to get him away for medical attention. The Swede could carry him without being impeded.

Many things had transpired between Kaylin’s question to Tori and the next time Kaylin’s mind decided to actually catch up. Her leg had a slight pain coursing through it still from the original touching of the mommy bird, but still.. Kaylin didn’t much realize that’s what it was. With the madness coursing through her mind and body, everything seemed new to the young meister. It excited and fascinated her.
Tori ignored Kaylin. Someone might normally be irritated or put off by being ignored. Kaylin… sort of forgot. With no response to her question, Kaylin could only be patient enough to pay attention for a few seconds at most. When the girl didn’t answer and began speaking so many words… It was filed away in Kaylin’s mind that Tori was in fact NOT a fairy, along with a possible negative twist to it. Afterall… what could make a talking sword and not be a fairy? Really?
By the time Tori actually did focus on Kaylin enough to try and ask her to snap out of the madness, Kaylin had taken two steps back and was spinning. Slowly at first, then quickly. An odd laugh escaping her lips, her spinning slowed and the girl just sort of stumbled around. This new world was fun. A grin on her face the whole time, Kaylin’s mind completely left the not-fairy and the talking sword.
That’s when her eyes caught quick movement. Someone she hadn’t quite noticed before was dashing across the courtyard. Dion was on her mind. Like a bullet. He sped towards the creature. A protective instinct ran through the grinning girl, but she made no real move to do anything. It was as if she were watching a movie, and gleefully doing it. Kaylin didn’t want to move, she was fully happy watching the show before her. A bullet and a… statue? Heading towards her bird and its baby. Jumping five times in short little jumps, Kaylin clapped her hands together. It was an interesting sight, that was for sure.
A light show then proceeded. Kaylin didn’t have the mindset to take in all the details or completely comprehend what was going on, but she did see that Dion and Klaus were thrown away. Kaylin let out a whooping call, jumping into the air one more time with her right fist pumping into the air. Excitement was completely enveloping her like she had never felt before. Still, she made no move to go anywhere. No thought was running through her mind besides telling her that everything was amazing. A bullet, a talking sword, a moving statue, and a non-fairy… The word ‘message’ rang through her ears, but that’s all she really caught from the creature. She also took no notice to the silence, or lack of screaming, whichever. The madness had been pretty much embraced by the young girl. It was… comforting in her own exciting and crazy sort of way.
The non-fairy and talking sword were gone from near her, she never really watched them leave. A new entity had entered the field. Her form was not clear to Kaylin… She didn’t come off as a person, but she could clearly be heard. Not that Kaylin actually listened… The words were simple, stay away and such.. but Kaylin was far from listening to anyone. What did interest her was the bird and baby bird were being talked to by this fuzzy entity, otherwise known as Céleste.
Now where did that statue go? Kaylin’s eyes darted across the courtyard looking for Klaus. All of the students seemed to be gathered around the bullet. A quiet giggle quietly erupted from the female, no real reason for it other than her overabundance of joy. She clapped a few more times in the place she was standing, then took off towards the group around Dion. The bird and fuzzy entity were forgotten for the time being. What was coursing through her mind was slightly more important than that… Statues couldn’t move!!! She should remind it of this fact.
The quick young female didn’t take much time to close the distance between her and the rest of the crew. Within only a few feet of Klaus, her actions and joy took over. The girl attempted with a jump and a quick pulling of herself onto his tall shoulders to stand on his shoulders. If the action was so completed as she planned, the female then bent over slightly and moved to tap the man quite forcefully on the forehead.
”Statues don’t move!”
Completely oblivious to Dion’s hurt state, she couldn’t imagine a bullet was in pain so it never entered her mind. Not that she would really care in the first place. And… she hadn’t caught sight of Tori again right away. But when she did, the reason for all of these oddities would surely be hers.

As the madness in the area faded the figure remained stationary and continued to look at the school. It paid no mind to the students that had been affected by the madness it spread. It did keep them in the outer reaches of its vision in case they decided to attack it again. The chance was low after it had dealt with the previous bunch of foolish students. Even so it did keep the possibility in mind so it could dodge if needed. Unfortunately it could not create another barrier to protect itself in the event of another assault, it was only a messenger.
Just on time a new face appeared. Judging them before they spoke it believed that she was a teacher of the school before she confirmed it. If it had a mouth like a human it would have smirked at her words. This was wonderful! Now there was no doubt that it could fulfill the mission entrusted to it. Of course it had to make sure and not just assume that this random teacher would do what it needed. Keeping her in mind the creature opened its giant mouth and spoke again, still addressing the whole of Shibusen instead of the single teacher.
”Today has been a momentous day and I come to enlighten you. A revival of sorts has occurred but you wouldn’t know about that. Do not fear though as your fate has not yet been decided. In fact this message is to give you a warning and let you have a chance.”
Gazing at the school the figure turned to look at all the students around it. Be they conscious or not each student received the figure’s gaze. After looking at each of them it stared at the teacher before continuing its announcement.
”Be careful god of death as the sway of madness is not your only adversary. Over the years your ordinance to order has inconvenienced many and ruined more. As such you have created many unneeded adversaries and now the chance for revenge lies within their reach. A being you thought extinct has emerged and you are far from out of their sights. Be wary young reaper and make yourself prepared, for your school was not the only place that received a messenger.”
Done relaying what it was given the creature opened its mouth unnaturally wide once again but did not scream. This time its body began to sizzle and liquefy. Melting into the same black ooze the creature melted down while emitting a sound like birds chirping, up until the once solid creature was nothing more than a black puddle. It rested motionless for a moment before there was a violent sucking and ripping sound and the dark sludge seemed to be pulled into the ground, leaving a feather shaped scorch mark and a floating soul.
Crimson in color the soul seemed to be that of a kishin egg. Innocently floating above the burn mark it seemed a discarded remnant until it sparked to life. Red strands of madness jumped off it into the air like stray sparks from a lighter. As they jumped off the soul seemed to grow more unstable and cracks formed on it. Shattering apart the soul decayed until it broke into sporadic wavelengths of madness and vanished, leaving nothing to show it existed. With the creature gone and its soul destroyed Death City was left quiet and allowed to recover from the ordeal. However Shibusen decided to react was up to them, they were just a small piece of a bigger plan.

Dante wasn’t paying attention to the bird creature anymore. He was more focused on the two students that very clearly would be in need of medical attention. Klaus was a giant and looked way better than the green haired kid, but the latter would most certainly need help. Tori didn’t need to tell him twice. The pale blue glow returned the moment she released her grip and he transformed back to his normal self. Dante followed after her in a hurry. He wasn’t sure how much they could do, but at least a teacher was on the scene now. He was comfortable in letting her handle whatever the creepy bird thing had to say.
Oh man. This was just as bad as he’d expected and possibly worse. Blood trickled from the boy’s mouth and his gaze appeared rather distant. Dante couldn’t imagine he’d be conscious much longer. Hell, he was surprised he was conscious at all after getting thrown like a ragdoll into the school. The blonde shook his head,
“Dannazione…”
Dante mimicked his partners movements, taking the green haired boy’s other arm and slinging it over his shoulders whilst hanging onto his wrist. If they worked together, then they could get him out of here. Concern plain on his face, Dante spoke to Tori,
“We need to get him to the infirmary as soon as possible.”
Dante was no doctor, but just from basic common sense this young man probably had ten kinds of injuries that they couldn’t even see. The vaguely blank stare and bloody mouth was one thing, but Tori also had a point with the assumption that there could also be a concussion involved. If that was the case and he did have a head injury, Dante wondered briefly if they should be moving him at all. Oh head injuries be damned, leaving him until all was supposedly well and safe would likely only hurt him more. They were getting him to the nurse; it was the best course of action he could think of.
Ah, Klaus was up and about! Excellent! Dante didn’t want to make him help out if he was injured, but he looked no worse for wear, which didn’t surprise him too much. The Swede could get hit by a train and probably walk away without a scratch. Oh for the love of God, the mad girl was back again. The hell was she talking about? Dante couldn’t tell if she was still under the influence of madness or not, but for the moment he ignored her. The blonde shifted his weight, trying to keep a good grip on the green haired student for the time being,
“Klaus, do you think you can help us get him to the nurse?”
Hearing a very distinctive sizzling sound, Dante’s gaze turned towards the bird creature, or rather was used to be the bird creature. He’d missed it liquefying but definitely caught unmistakable red glow of a corrupted soul floating slightly above a scorch mark upon the ground. His eyes widened as the thing cracked and shattered, breaking into uneven bits of madness and wavelength before it was gone. A cold feeling of unease washing over him at the sight, Dante blinked and looked to Tori and Klaus,
“Come on, let’s get him the hell out of here.”

Oh a teacher finally managed to take some time out of their busy schedule to show up. He was being unfair to the teacher considering the circumstances but he could barely see straight so he thought himself justified. With his vision unfocused as it was he couldn’t make out that much of the teacher who had showed up. Whoever they were they spoke French and were female but beyond that Dion was at a loss, he could worry about who she was later. Not worrying was something Dion would have liked to do but that was a tad out of the question after his impromptu flight.
Oh great, now people were coming to him. Well at least they were getting away from that monstrosity that he had attempted to attack. In hindsight that was a pretty stupid idea but he wasn’t exactly in the most logical of mindsets at that moment. Now there were people and talking and he didn’t want to deal with it. Couldn’t a guy just sit and bleed in peace? Really was that so much to ask for? Granted sleep was the second most prominent thing on his mind but he couldn’t do that with some feathery asshole looming over them.
When arms touched him his ears seemed to pop and the ringing stopped. That was much better as far as actually hearing things went. The next girl who spoke sounded much less warped than the teacher’s voice. Walking? Why on earth should he be walking now? All he wanted to do was sit and pass out leaning against the spoke of Shinigami’s skull. It was surprisingly comfortable but that may have just been from his body being numb. Either way that didn’t change the fact that he wanted to stay sitting and sleep.
Being forced to his feet Dion suppressed a wince of pain and remained silent. His knees shook slightly as he was raised but he fixed them quickly. He may have just gotten the shit kicked out of him but that didn’t mean he could look weak in front of NOT students. Blurry as his vision may be he was still staring at the creature that had caused his sudden takeoff and corresponding crash. If the semi-conscious could glare Dion was definitely doing so. Standing as best he could he attempted to activate his partial form so he could sink the spear tips into the ground and anchor himself to the ground. Again he got nothing; his soul seemed to be unresponsive from the shock or something.
When the creature spoke Dion flinched slightly, expecting some kind of attack to finish him off. Only words came but he didn’t relax, that probably would have caused him to collapse onto the ground most ungracefully. He heard what it said but it made no sense to him. As if his mind wasn’t swimming enough he now had those fun and confusing words to help. Dizzy was an understatement and that was before he witness the creature’s decomposition.
After it was gone Dion stared at where it had been intently. He was not relieved at the destruction but pissed. That thing did have a soul and he didn’t get it! The least it could have done after fucking his shit up was give him a soul for his efforts. Clenching his fist he stared for a moment at where the soul had been before returning his attention to what was happening around him. More people had appeared so that was a thing. It was like a party had popped into existence, all it needed was some music that wasn’t voices ringing in his ears.
He would have sighed if the effort didn’t have a chance of exhausting him. Couldn’t these people see he was fine? Ok he was a little beat up but nothing that bad to warrant this amount of people swarming around him. With another person helping to support him Dion assumed he would be heading to the infirmary to see nurse Nygus. It didn’t exactly look like he had much choice in the matter but if he saw one scalpel he was out of there! He could probably walk on his own if everything would stop being all wobbly and blurry. Taking one step he tested this theory.
Instantly everything seemed to get ten times worse. Pain coursed up his leg and the world around him became a mess of blur and fuck. Alright so walking wasn’t going to be happening anytime soon. At least he had the people supporting him even if they were possibly NOT class students. If they doubted his awesomeness because of his injuries he would deal with that later. For the moment he wanted to rest for a bit, later he could think and that stuff.
”Fuck it.”
And with that Dion sighed and gave up on trying to remain conscious. Having some faith in the crowd of people around him and having fallen from and onto worse Dion lost consciousness and left his transport to the hands of those around him. If there was problem he would kick their asses after he woke up.

Tori was helping support the taller boy and it didn't help that she was short, it made the whole let me help carry you thing very awkward. She could feel the weight shift when her weapon joined her. She wasn't really paying any attention to what was going on with the bird thing anymore because there was now a teacher on the seance. Tori's head moved to where Klaus was standing as he called out her name and she nodded with what her partner just said.
"Yes I know we need to get him out of here and Klaus can you just stand between us and that thing just in case it comes after us. No affiance or anything but you can take a hit and we can't--"
Tori stopped talking the moment that the other girl had made her appearance on Klaus shoulders. She stood there and blinked a few times not sure what to make of this girl. Was she still under the power of the madness? But all the screaming has stopped so didn't that mean that the madness had stopped as well? Tori was very unsure about this but thought better of yelling at this crazy girl to get of his shoulders. Klaus was a big guy and could very easily get that girl off of him.
She really hadn't been playing attention at all to what was going on with the bird thing and she didn't even hear what he was saying. She was still more worried about Dion and the fact that she had taken a step and stopped. Tori looked to him with a reassuring look on her face.
"Come on you got this. Just one step at a time and we will get you there--BLOODY HELL!"
Tori had finely saw the glowing red soul where the bird had been standing. This was her first time ever seeing one in person and it did creep her out a bit. That color was just so inhuman. She quickly shook off the feeling those when she heard the boy say fuck it and his body went limp. Tori stumbled for a moment not expecting that at all and looked at him.
"Don't you bloody faint on me! Come on stay awake!"
Her yelling fell on def ear as she saw that this boy was out. Tori looked to Dante and gave a node.
"All right we need to go now."
She started to walk to the school doors with the help of the others to get this boy to the nurses before something worse happened to him.

A warning, eh? Céleste didn’t like the sound of that. Crossing her arms, she stared the thing down as best she could. In reality, the blonde was shaking. She tapped her fingers against her forearm and kept her eyes locked on the creature in front of her. She was more nervous than she’d ever been. It wasn’t due to the words, it wasn’t because of the construct itself, it was because she knew that if this thing attacked again she would need help protecting the students, help she currently did not have. Pursing her lips, the Frenchwoman flipped her hair once and made it so she appeared to be the spitting image of confidence even if she was the picture of anxiety on the inside.
Before it spoke, she could see it leering around at the students. Celeste held back a grimace and took another step towards the thing. It was meant to try to get its attention and keep it on her. Whether it really worked or not she couldn’t say, but its eyes did return to her and she felt a chill settle in her bones as it began to speak. A riddle. Of course it would be a riddle, why would it be anything else. Her eye twitched slightly out of mild annoyance. Still, it wasn’t that hard to decipher. Something was coming, something very bad, and whoever had created this bird creature was threatening them.
Seeing its mouth open wide once again, the blonde covered her ears and stepped back, but a scream was not what happened thankfully. Slowly lowering her hands, Céleste watched in thinly veiled disgust as it melted seemingly into thick black goo, the unmistakable chirping of birds filling the air as it did so. As quickly as it dissolved it disappeared, seemingly having been pulled elsewhere to leave behind an unmistakable red and glowing soul. Tilting her head, Céleste walked a slow circle around it before jumping back as it came to life. The strands of madness that leapt from it and frayed in the air held her attention more than anything else as it seemingly decayed. Utterly dumbfounded, the blonde slowly shook her head and wandered to where it had just been floating slightly above the ground. What in the world had she just witnessed?
Straightening, she gave a curt nod at the ground and pulled her thoughts together. There were more important things to take care of at the moment. Several of the students around her needed to be taken to the infirmary and Shinigami-sama needed to be notified further of the events that had just taken place. Turning to face the students, she walked quickly around,
“Anyone of able body and sound mind is to help get the students who are hurt or incapacitated due to madness up to the infirmary, is that clear? Work together, let’s see some teamwork! Standing around dazed and frightened will accomplish nothing, do you understand? Now hop to it! Vite, vite!” ((Quickly, quickly!))
Having given the students in the immediate area their marching orders, the blonde hurried back to the green haired boy. It appeared a few of the students were attempting to get him to the infirmary, excellent. Céleste reached them just as the boy lost consciousness, prompting her to run to the student’s side. Catching him from the back as he started to fall and helping the blonde young man and the British sounding girl keep him upright, Céleste held an arm around his waist. Fainting after hitting the school that hard? This young man most certainly had a concussion if her first aid training was anything to go on. Helping to lift him, she aided the students in getting him to the door before hurrying ahead and holding it open for them,
“Quickly, now, the poor thing probably has a concussion! Be very careful you don’t hit his head on anything.”

There were a number of things that continued on during and after the creature delivered the message from this phantom menace. Most notably was the sudden appearance of a girl on top of his shoulders, apparently still suffering from the effects of the madness wrought by the creature. He looked up at her and then ignored her, as there were more important matters to attend to, most notably the care and well-being of a fellow student. This girl still seemed to be dealing with the effects of the madness.
As he continued to help transport his injured friend to the nurse, he eyed the creature as it said what it had to say. Feelings of certainty that this thing would finally go away were replaced with nothing but questions. A revival? More enemies to deal with? What would they be dealing with next? Whatever it was, the creature bore an incredibly ominous tone before taking its exit. The incessant chirping that saturated the air announced its departure as it dissolved into a puddle of black ooze which quickly evaporated into nothingness. All that was left behind was a large feathered scorch mark where it stood and a single red soul, a Kishin Egg, that floated up momentarily before glowing actively and shattering. It unleashed a sporadic wave of Madness before it shattered.
An uneasy peace descended upon Death City after its departure. With the imminent danger gone, Klaus gently took the unconscious Dion from Tori's and the teacher's arms and picked him up. He was careful to treat him gently, even though he was sure the green-haired youth was tough as nails. With that, the Swede broke off into a brisk walk, heading towards the infirmary at a faster pace. At the same time the giant was filled with great uneasiness. That message reverberated through his mind. Whatever they were dealing with, the creature made it sound like it was something big. Was the Kishin revived? Did it gain new allies? Questions like those echoed and burned themselves into his mind.

With the creature’s departure the catalyst for the madness was removed. Quickly after it left any lingering traces of madness would vanish and leave Death City to its own devices. An unsettling calmness took over as no traces of the creature remained, leaving the whole event to rest in the minds of those who witnessed it. Throughout the city people began to regain consciousness and look around confused as to what had happened. For the regular inhabitants they had been going about their day when suddenly they were knocked unconscious, only to wake up on the ground with no recollection of what had happened. In the school however there was a bustle of activity. Not including the students who had been outside the school was in a frenzy trying to care for all the other effected students. Those who had fallen to madness were regaining their senses and those who had lost consciousness were slowly regaining it. Any injured in the chaos were being transported to the infirmary for nurse Nygus to look over. Some were quickly treated for their minor injuries and let go to make room for the more seriously injured students. It was a flow of confusion covering the school. Teachers after settling everything inside the school had begun to move outside to transport any students who were still unconscious. Many were still like this due to the amount of madness they were exposed to but would wake up soon enough without any serious effects. Some had even gotten up on their own and began to assist in the transportation of the injured. Like clockwork the mass of Shibusen began to work together in order to do what was required. Shortly everything had been cleaned up and the chaos had subsided, but this didn’t mean it wasn’t sitting on everyone’s minds in the meantime. Those who had been closest to the creature suffered the worst from the whole situation but even they were manageable. Reaching the infirmary Nygus took Dion and set him on a bed to be looked at. Checking over the others she deemed them fine and allowed for them to go. Natsuki would take a bit longer to regain consciousness but even she would be up within the hour. Dion was quickly attended to and treated for his injuries. With everything taken care of the school resumed its normal schedule but let out early to give everyone a break. The teachers remained inside however and allowed any students to stay if they desired. The injured needed to be taken care of and the teachers needed to have a meeting with Shinigami.
