It was s nice warm day in the city but not so warm that you had to run around in next to nothing in fear of sweating to death. The sun was bright and the sky's wear blue. It was such a lovely day out. Tori has been working in the shop all morning with her Dad. Cleaning, fixing watches, helping to arranged watches on tables so the looked nice, the usual thing that she did with her father. Tori had been by the window many times that day and saw just how nice of a day it was out side. She looked back at her Father who was putting a grandfather clock back together and gave a little smile. She walked over placing the clock she was caring down on the table and looked at him. "Papa you have been working so hard today why don't you take mum out and go enjoy the day." Her father looked up at her from next to the clock. He looked out side and gave a sigh. "It is such a lovely day out and your mum would enjoy it." He got up from were he sat and walked around to look down at his child. He towered over both her and her mother standing at a whopping 6'5". He rubbed the head of Tori and bent down so that he was eye level with her. "Watch the shop for me Tori. Me and your mum shouldn't be out to long."Tori gave a giggle as she pushed her dad's hand away. She looked up at him into his purple eyes with her purple eyes. "You can count on me Papa." He gave her a kiss on the forehead and headed to the back door that lead into their house to go get his wife. Tori smiled as she watched him leave. She liked doing things like this for her parents they worked so hard for her and her mother gave up her carrier so that they could move here for her. Tori walked back over to the grandfather clock that her dad was working on took a look at it. She knew how to fix it right off the bat and went to get and get her tools. Tori came back into the shop with her bag of tools and places it down on the table. She then walked over to a record player that was also a CD player. Tori pulled out a CD that her and her best friend Punz made. Both of the girls loved old musical and one summer they made some CD's with songs from musicals. Tori walked back over to the clock and began to work on it. It was funny how short she was next to this huge clock. If you came into the shop you wouldn't be able to see her until you got to the counter. Tori began to space out as she worked, this happened a lot when she was fix things or making things. She was so entranced by the gears and the springs she wouldn't notice if someone walked into the shop at the moment. She started to hum along with the song that was being played from Oliver. Tori did love to sing but she didn't like to sing in front of people that aren't her family or Punz. Tori then opens her mouth and began to sing. Her voice was pure and like the sound of a bell. This song was very appropriate for the day like today. Who will buy This wonderful morning? Such a sky You never did see!
Who will tie It up with a ribbon And put it in a box for me?
So I could see it at my leisure Whenever things go wrong And I would keep it as a treasure To last my whole life long.Tori was having fun singing along with the song. She shut the grandfather clocking being done with the works on it as she picked up a rage to go and clean some dust off of it. Who will buy This wonderful feeling? I'm so high I swear I could fly.
Me, oh my! I don't want to lose it So what am I to do To keep the sky so blue? There must be someone who will buy...She was done dusting and now moved on the polishing the clock. Ducking under the counter to grab the polish still singing alone with the song. She stand back up and being to polish the old large clock. Who will buy This wonderful morning? Such a sky You never did see!
Who will tie It up with a ribbon And put it in a box for me?
There'll never be a day so sunny, It could not happen twice. Where is the man with all the money? It's cheap at half the price!
Who will buy Who will buy This wonderful feeling? I'm so high I swear I could fly. Me, oh my! I don't want to lose it So what am I to do To keep the sky so blue?
There must be someone who will buy...She hold out the last note taking a step looking at the clock to make sure it looked good. She smiled at her work her Dad would be proud of what she did then again she has been fixing clock for a long time now. How she was standing she was once again being hidden by the grandfather clock.

Levi had just finished with his usual routine of training and the other activities that followed that. Putting away his suit of armor and the weapons he had decided to practice with he took a shower to relax. Finished he took a seat on the replica throne that adorned his throne room and reviewed his training. As always he was amazing in his swordsmanship and wielded Zegen like it was a natural part of himself. His use of a mace was decent but he could always improve on it. The shield was utterly terrible though and he would have to get much better with that. Calmed down from the training Levi decided to take a walk around the city and see what he could find. Nothing much to do around here and there was the matter of the school dance that was coming up. Not that he was terribly concerned about finding someone to go with; he was the king after all! Of course he wasn’t going to be shown up by some peasant trash and had contacted his family the other day about it. They would be sending him what he had asked for soon enough so he could show up everyone else with ease. In the meantime he did need to find at least one date to go with him so why not go check around the city for some worthy contenders? Fitted with his usual attire and his precious sword Zegen Levi headed out into the streets of Death City. He made sure the door to his house closed but never bothered to lock it. Who would dare try to enter the house of Levi Kastein? Only a person with a death wish would attempt something so terribly idiotic! Satisfied Levi headed out to the shopping district to see if anything caught his attention. Walking through the rows of vendors that lined the streets Levi glanced from place to place with general disinterest. Nothing was really catching his attention until he passed by a stall of metallic trinkets. Stopping to take a look he skimmed over the little shiny devices for anything of interest. Looking at one little bronze watch thing Levi picked it up and looked at it. It wasn’t terribly interesting to him but it did remind him of something that slipped his mind at the moment. Following his spur of the moment impulses he bought the watch and walked away. Despite him minding his own business Levi still managed to catch the attention of one particular individual. The apple seller moved up behind Levi and suddenly grabbed his shoulder. In shock the watch went flying out of Levi’s hand as he spun around and smashed the pathetic commoner across the head. Down went the merchant as he grabbed his head in pain while Levi glared at the trash that dared to touch him. Sadly his newly obtained watch also landed on the ground and the impact must have knocked something loose. After soundly stomping on the man’s chest and threatening his life Levi retrieved his now broken watch. Staring at the thing Levi shook it but the hands had stopped moving, just great. Some commoner trash had already caused him to break his watch not even a half hour after buying it. Sliding it into his pocket Levi walked further down the street looking for something else to do. Pissed that something of his was broken he nearly passed the clock shop right in front of him. Looking at the building he had to decide what to do now that the option was there. He could go inside and see if the peasants could fix his watch or wait and let someone of higher status look at it. Giving up Levi walked up to the shop but hesitated before actually walking inside. He was the king! These peasants should be honored that he would even consider walking inside their shop! Levi would just walk inside, get the commoners to do whatever it was that they did and be done! Nudging the door open with his foot so he didn’t have to touch it with his skin he moved inside and looked around. He didn’t see anybody inside the shop. Were these people so low on the spectrum that he couldn’t even see them with his royal eyes? No that couldn’t be it, or he wouldn’t see anyone ever. Walking up to the desk he pulled the broken watch out of his pocket and set it on the counter. “Hello peasants! The king requires some assistance!”That should their pathetic attention back to things that mattered, like him!

Tori had hear the down slowly open and she looked around the clock to see who was coming. Her eyes opened wide in horror as she they Levi, the annoying prince walk in. She ducked behind the clock again hoping that he just came to look around the shop. If she was lucking he would get bored very quickly and leave. Tori held her breath as she listen to him walk right up the the desk. She heard him place something down.
“Hello peasants! The king requires some assistance!”
Ballocks! Of all the things he needed help. Tori would have normal let her Papa take care of this but she told him and her Mum to enjoy the day. She was going to have to help Levi out whether she wanted to or not. We was going to be a paying customer after all. Tori to a deep breather to calm her nerves and she took a step out from behind the grandfather clock. She looked up at Levi with a half harted as she approached the desk. "Good afternoon and welcome to the Pelham family shop." It was such a forces greeting. Tori wanted to do nothing more then run into the back and lock the door and wait for him to just leave but she knew her father would be upset if she did that.
"How can I help you today Lev--"
She stopped as she spotted the watch sitting on the desk. She gasped as she grabbed it and stated to look it over. Turning it in her hands and bring it closer to her face to get a better look at it. "Wow! Would you look at this! The craftsmanship on the base of this watch is brilliant. Real brace and copper and silver were used. This must have taken a while to make this base." She could see right off the bat what was wrong with the clock on it without Levi telling her. "On the other hand the clock used is just a normal one most likely bought cheep. . . Lets see." Tori grabbed the clock and gave it a twisted popping it out of it's wonderful base.
She gently places the base over to the side and opened the back of the watch to take a look at the inside. She reaches over to her bag and pulls out her goggle that are used to magnify. She places then on and take a closer look at it. "Ah yes I can see whats wrong you knocked a few gears out of place. Did you drop this?" She asked pulling the goggles off and placing them on her head at she looks up at Levi. She then looks back down and grabs a few of her tools and begins to fix the watch while Levi talks. It wouldn't take her long at all and if she was lucky maybe she could get Levi out of here before he said something to piss her off..... And maybe Kishins are really just misunderstood and happen to be loving people. Who was Tori kidding of course he was going to say something to piss her off it's what he does best!

Just like he thought all he needed to do was speak and the commoners would come flocking to him. He had not expected that the commoner in question would be someone he knew. One might actually be able to say he was surprised to see Victoria of all people appear from behind that annoyingly large clock. It was so much larger than a clock needed to be but was still terribly small and insignificant compared to him. Grinning at her as she walked up Levi motioned to the watch sitting on the desk. At least Levi wouldn’t have to deal with complete commoner filth now.
Before Levi even needed to waste his time talking she started looking at the watch. It was always a good thing when a commoner knew what they were supposed to do without him having to try and get it through their heads. Levi wasn’t exactly sure what she gasped at, one would think after meeting him once the shock of being in his presence would at least decrease to controllable levels. Unless she was gasping at the watch which seemed pretty stupid to him. Was that cheap little bauble actually impressive to people? Well obviously since he picked it the watch would be better than pretty much every other watch around!
Whatever was so special about the stupid watch it was enough to catch Victoria’s attention. She was caught up in the watch for some reason like it was actually interesting. Levi didn’t really pay any attention to whatever she was going on about. He managed to catch little bits like copper, base, and cheap so any interest he may have had was lost. Taking apart the watch Levi watched as she pulled out a bag and removed a pair of goggles from it. It was oddly interesting to watch peasants work.
Did he drop the watch? Things were a bit more complicated than how she made it out to be. Levi wouldn’t simply drop something of his without one hell of a good reason to do so. No he had hurled the watch in his haste to remove the peasant trash that dare to make contact with his royal being. Grinning at Tori he shrugged “Not exactly. The watch just happened to leave my hand while I was…preoccupied with more important things.” Saying he dropped it didn’t give the right impression that Levi wanted.
“So babe think you can fix this thing?” The previous mention of loose gears didn’t mean anything to him and he could really care less anyway. It was definitely getting boring now that the attention was moving away from him and onto the watch. Waving his arm uninterestedly Levi once again brought the spotlight onto himself “I haven’t bothered to pay attention to such commoner objects so someone like yourself is probably more suited to fix this.”Of course Levi wouldn’t bother trying to fix so far beneath him! Work like that was what peasants were for after all! He could just wait as his new watch was properly mended.

Tori looked up at him and raised an eye brow. It just left his hand huh? He must have gotten into a fight and dropped it. She looked back down at the watch and stared to fix it and gave a huff when she realizes that she would need to replace one of the gears. She reaches underneath counter and pulls out a little box full of gears. She was sure to find a match in here because the watch was so common. She began to pull over a few gears to find the match and when she did she sated back to work replacing it in the watch. Tori didn't even bother to look up when Levi started to talk again she had more important things to do, like fix his watch, then to look at him.
She did however look up when he made his offhanded comment about how he knew she could fix it. Was that a compliment or an insult? Tori wonder to her self as she gave a little half hearted smile. "Humm Thanks? I guess. For the last time Levi I am not Babe call me Victoria or Tori if you must. Just please stop calling me Babe!" It bothered her so much that it seemed like he didn't even bother to learn her name but then again she wouldn't put it passed him. He was after all a spoiled pompous prince who more then likely thought Tori was beneath him. "And of course I can fix this. I have only been working with watches since I was six." She looked back down at her work and finely replaced the broken part.
She closes the back on the watch and twisted the top as it being to tik tik tik again. Tori smiles at her work and paces it back in it's hand made base. She hand it back over the counter to Levi so glad that she was going to get ride of him soon. "Here you go Levi it's all fixed and better then it was before. Now how will you be playing for this?" She knew very well that he had lot of money so she wasn't really worried about how he would be paying for it just that he did and left. As she waited for him to answer to placed the gears back under the counter and pulled out another broken watch she had to fix for her father. It must have been infuriating that Tori was giving all her attention to the watches and not the prince in the room. It wasn't every day that you would have a prince in your shop but then again it seemed that this school just had tones on princes walking around. Tori hoped that by ignoring Levi for the most part he would get bored and just leave.

Apparently she took his offhanded remark as some kind of compliment, commoners were so strange. Not that it mattered to him how she took what he said, her taking it how she did only proved to be beneficial to him anyway. He would have to keep that in mind that commoners were so easily entertained with the slightest hints of a compliment. Sadly she wasn’t too fond on his usual quirk of calling every girl he met babe. Of course a commoner would want to be different from everyone else so they felt more important. Levi would keep that in mind for possible later use.
Regardless of her complaints he did notice that she did give some kind of smile. Obviously she couldn’t keep acting so annoyed with him forever; he was a prince after all! With her slight change in action Levi got a brilliant idea. Clearly she wanted some kind of special treatment if she wanted him to actually use her name so why not give her some? Remembering her name he could try but actually referring to her as such was still too much of a stretch for him. It didn’t matter though he had his own plans.
Just like that she fixed the watch. He knew a commoner would know how to work with peasant things like watches. As far as payment went he wasn’t terribly concerned or concerned at all really, considering he was plenty wealthy. Grinning at Tori he waved a hand absentmindedly ”Whatever babe, payment isn’t a problem. So how much for this thing?” Picking up the watch he looked it over and sure enough it was working again. That seemed really simple and far beneath the level of one such as himself. He had made the best decision leaving the work to those more suited for the task.
Pulling out a twenty dollar bill he set the money and watch down on the desk. By now Levi thought he had a decent enough understanding of American currency to think that the money would do. Watch sitting on the bill he slid them both at Tori to see that she was looking at another watch. That simply would not do, he should have her attention. Well if she was going to deny him the attention he needed and deserved he would just have to find another way to get it from her.
”So babe, you should go to that snow ball dance thing with me.”
That should get her attention back on him and away from the stupid watch. It might have helped if he bothered to remember the details about…well anything but the school dance for the present moment. He knew that it was a dance and that snow was involved in it somehow. How could someone refuse to go when they got asked by a prince? Clearly he was the best choice of person ever and was going to be awesome at the dance. Tori even got the benefit of being the first person he bothered to ask. Of course he was grinning at her with his usual look while waiting for her answer.

Tori didn't even bother to look up when Levi asked her how much it was going to be. She pulled out a sheet of paper and looked at it. She still didn't quite understand how American money worked yet but she was getting better. Her father wrote down the prices for her on a peace of paper so she could look at it when she needed too. Seeing as it was only a small fix it wasn't going to cost him that much. "Let see simple watch simple fix...Only took me a few minutes...That is going to be ten dollars." She looked up and saw him slid the watch and money over to her. She stares at it and then back up to Levi and then back down to the watch. Was he giving it to her? Tori took the money first and gave him his change and then picked up the watch looking at it and then back to Levi. "Are. . .Are you giving me this watch?" There was the lightest trace of blush on the girls cheeks. Had it been anyone else doing that Tori would have gotten the hint that they where giving her the watch but seeing at it was Levi she was unsure. He always seemed to work differently then others.
Still unsure about the watch she placed it next to her and picked up the other she was working on. Well Levi's business was done here he would leave right? Wrong. ”So babe, you should go to that snow ball dance thing with me.” Tori nearly drooped the watch she was working on as her head shoot up and she looked at him. "What?!" It took her a full minuet to fully realize what he was saying. Tori face light up but not out of joy of being asked out, no this was far from that. She slams her hands down on the counter and leans closer to Levi to look him in the eyes. "Let me make this very clear to you Levi, no. No I will not go to the dance with you. Maybe if you remembered my named and used it other then Babe I might have not said no so quickly. Maybe if you acted like a real prince--no gentleman I would have said yes. Let me tell you something Levi.
She hopped down off her stool and walked around the counter to stand in front of Levi. The small British girl places her hands on her hips as she glared up at him and that stupid grinning face of his. "You have got to be the most self absorbed man I have ever met in my whole life. Did you ask other girls before me? Are you just asking me because I am the next girl that you saw today? Levi what makes you think I would ever dream of going to the dance with you? You'll just end up hitting on other girls the whole night and leave me alone at the table or something. You are no prince charming and I would be shocked if any girl said yes to you knowing what you really acted like." Tori's face was all red and she was only few steps away from shouting at him. She couldn't believe that he just asked her like that! She pointed to the door, one hand still on her hip. "Get out Levi and take that damn watch with you! I don't want anything to do with you!" She was so upset right now her body was shaking a bit. The nerve of this man pushed her to her limits.

Levi didn’t really care about the watch so why not give it to her? She fixed it and would probably get more use out of it than he would. Really he only bought it on a whim in the first place and fixed it only because it was his. Getting little gifts was something commoners enjoyed right? Of course it was because he thought so and if he thought it then it had to be right! In that case he even gave her the watch; she would totally go to the dance with him now. Why would she possibly not?
For some odd reason though she started to yell at him about something. Levi didn’t really pay attention but managed to catch bits of what she said in her yelling fit. It was almost like she was mad at him about something but Levi had no idea why she would be. As far as he bothered to remember Levi hadn’t done anything to deserve such a reaction. He would act however he wanted to act, he was a prince! A commoner was in no position to be making such accusations toward him. Of course he brushed aside her yelling as insignificant.
“Verdoemen, calm down babe!” He didn’t seem to notice the whole point of her yelling at him and acted like it didn’t happen. “No need to get all upset about a simple little statement, the details of which you don’t seem to understand.”[/color] He couldn’t blame her for being so uninformed due to her being so far beneath him so it was up to him to help explain such things to the lower class. Walking over to the desk he picked up the watch and inspected it again for dramatic effect. Satisfied he turned back to look at Tori.
“You see babe just because I don’t say your name doesn’t mean I don’t remember it, assuming that would just be foolish. As far as that prince comment I’ll let it slide but as a real prince the behavior of a real prince is whatever I do!” It was annoying that people were comparing him to some set image of how a prince was expected to act! He was a prince and would act as such! These peasants just needed to realize that their fantastical notions were completely fucking wrong and that a prince did what a prince wanted!
Back to grinning he lazily stepped around looking between Tori and the watch. “You just so happen to be the first girl lucky enough to have me ask them, you should feel honored! I mean don’t go thinking so lowly of yourself, you happen to be the first girl I met in this city which makes you ever so slightly better than the other peasants. If I was just going to dance with other babes instead of you I wouldn’t have wasted my precious time asking. Keep my attention and there won’t be a problem.” Standing in front of Tori he looked up from the watch to her face.
Lacking his normal grin for once he spoke unusually calmly. “For that prince comment I want to point a little something out. While I might not be this delusional ‘prince charming’ you imagine you’re no princess either, weet je plaats.” Done he placed the watch in her hand before grinning again. “Don’t get so worked up about it babe! It’s just a dance after all.” Turning around Levi walked over to the door and opened it but before he left he turned back to look at Tori, grin still on his face.
“I’ll meet you here then for the dance, later Tori~” Turning around he walked out of the shop before she had a chance to protest. One could not expect to simply say no to Levi and have him listen.

Tori stood there glaring at him her hand still raised pointing to the door. She was getting angrier over the second as Levi stood there not moving. Then he spoke and told her to calm down. Calm down!? She couldn't just calm down she was pissed! She opened her mouth again about to yell at him to get out when he started talking. Tori made a few odd sounds as she listen to him. He claimed to know her name but as of yet Tori never once hear him say it and being called Babe truly bothered and pissed her off.
He just had a way with word, a way that could drive any human being up the wall or at lest that is what Tori thought. She raised and eye brown as she walked back over looking from the watch back up to her still talking. Even if she wanted to get a word in at the moment she couldn't. She then cocked her head to the side when he was talking about how she ways the first girl he asked to the dance. She was the first girl at he ask to the dance? Maybe if it hadn't have been Levi Tori would have taken this as a compliment and would have been flattered by it. To top it all of he said she was slightly better then the other peasants girls. Tori gave a huff and placed her hands on her hips at this.
Suddenly the grin was gone from his face and to be honest it startled Tori. Her eyes got a little bigger as he talk to her in that clam voice. She took a few steps back from him. It was very unnerving to hear him talk him that. She didn't really think he could speak like that. Tori had made up her mind about Levi and thought of him a spoil brat, which he was, but this comment made a shiver run down her spine. It seemed like he really didn't like the what Tori had to say about it when it came to acting like a prince. She knew she was no princess and was that he said in dutch? She couldn't make it out but she had a feeling it wasn't good.
She then left the cold metal of the watch on her hand and she looked down at it and then back up to Levi. Telling her to clam down it was just a dance. Maybe she was over reacting a bit about this? Or maybe it was that she didn't like the thought of going to a dance with a man that would be with her one second and then gone to the next to go and flirt with some girl. She hear him talk again and looked back up. “I’ll meet you here then for the dance, later Tori~” Her faced turned all red as she blushed. "WHAT?!" She yelled finely finding her voice again but it was to late he had left. Tori looks back down at the watch. "How dare he! Not taking no for an answer... Wait...He called me Tori?!" This sudden realization made her face turn an even deeper shade of red. Then suddenly the feeling was replaced by anger again. "How am I supposed to keep your attention Levi! You bloody fool you can't take no for an answer can you!?" She yelled at the door but she knew he was long gone and couldn't hear her.
Tori walked back over to the desk and threw the watch on it. It bounced once and slid along the wood. She then sat back down on her chair glaring at nothing muttering to herself. She looking slightly to the right of her and stares at the watch she just threw. Tori gave a sigh and reach over picking it up again looking at it. "He's right....It's just one dance....How bad could it be?" She watched the hands tick on the watch and she placed it on her wrist. It might be from Levi but it was still a lovely watch. Victoria gave another huff as she looked back up to the door. That man pissed her off like no other person had done before. She looked behind her to the door that lead to her home. She made up her mind if she was going to be forced to go to this dance with Levi she might as well she him that she can at least look like a princess.
