It had been a long first couple of weeks back to school and it was taking a tool on the rocket launcher. She was told by her mother that if she was to fail this time this year she would be pulled out of school and sent to a military school and Bang did not want that. Just the thought of going there made the weapon shiver as she made her way back to her dorm room after a long day at school. Bang dragged her feet as she walked back up the stairs to her room. Bang flung open the door to find her two roommates in there. Bang walked over and flopped down on her bed. "Hey girls heeeeeey~" She said in a tired voice. Bang started up at her ceiling and cocked her head to the side remembering something from last night. Last night was the first time in four days that Bang had slept and it was very odd to say the least. She had this funny feeling that she was being watched all night. Bang dwelled on this thought for a few moment and then suddenly and with out warning jumped to her feet standing on her bed looking at the other two girls in the room. "OH MY GOD GIRLS I JUST HAD A AWESOME THOUGHT! WE SHOULD TELL SCARY STORIES!!" She had a huge grin on her face and began to bouncy up and down on her bed. "So yeah I know this kind of out of no where but we should so tell scary stories! I mean as you guys saw last night it was the first time in four days that I went to bed and it was wired! I mean I felt like I was being watched all night!" Bang suddenly stopped talking and sat down on her bed grinning at the two girls. "So yeah~ It was an odd night....OH!! I KNOW!! Have you guys ever had anything scary happen to you two? You know... Like.....hum.... Get scared at night because your mom told you the boogie man would come and get you if you weren't a good little girl.... Mei do you even have the boogie man in China or even in Japan?" Bang was so A.D.D. some times it was hard to keep up with her train of thought. She then got up and hopped over to Mei and sat down by her putting an arm around her shoulder grinning at her with that big almost evil grin. "So come on let stay up late and get sacred!! IT'S GOING TO BE SO MUCH FUN!!"

The first few weeks at Shibusen had been a bit daunting for Mei. She was having fun though, shy as she could be. She’d made a few friends and being in a dorm was much more fun than she’d originally anticipated. It was exciting to listen to the antics Bang and Natsuki usually got up to after all since she herself tried to refrain from any such kind of dishonorable activities. She’d put herself on a schedule to make sure she studied as much as she needed to. Her English was improving as well, albeit very slowly. She still wasn’t completely sure of what she said half the time. Mei hoped that such insecurities would leave her in time. Hearing Bang return finally, Mei looked up from her text book and smiled, “Huānyíng huí jiā! W-welcome home, B-Bang xiǎojiě.”For a few moments Bang was silent and Mei went back to her studies. She thought it a bit strange that the rainbow girl should be so quiet but she assumed that she was merely tired from a long day at school. Pushing her glasses further up on the bridge of her nose, Mei took down a few more notes from her textbook before closing it up. That was more than enough studying for the evening considering she’d been at it for close to two hours now. Suddenly bang was up and standing on her bed, causing Mei to jump a bit. It was nothing new but the sudden movement startled her nonetheless. Ghost stories? Oh dear. Mei tilted her head and gave a bit of a concerned look, “B-but it is a s-school night. I-If we g-get s-s-scared and c-cannot s-sleep we w-will not hear o-our alarms.”Not that Mei needed an alarm clock to begin with. She was still used to a farming schedule and so she seemed to rise and set with the sun as a result. Mei was usually up around the crack of dawn regardless although she did try not to make too much noise and wake her roommates. She was also usually in bed by six or seven as a result. Still, sharing ghost stories did sound quite interesting. She knew quite a few that she use to tell Nuo to give her younger sister a scare now and then. Bang asked if there was such a thing called the Boogie Man and China and Mei shook her head. The Chinese girl had never heard of such a thing although her mother had indeed warned her of other malevolent spirits in order to get her and Nuo to behave like proper young girls, “T-there is n-not, but I-I do h-have o-other creatures I-I can s-s-speak of.”

Nat had been back from her classes for about the same time as Mei and the two had both spent the time studying. It was always easier to get her studying done when Bang wasn't around just because she loved that great distraction that she was. She had nothing to worry about though because she knew how to keep her grades up and even if she didn't study then she would still get a fairly good grade. She was a lot smarter than people seemed to believe just because she acted differently that most did when they were smart. Just because she was super cool and interesting didn't mean she was stupid; duh!
She had decided to quite studying not long before Bang finally came back to the dorm after her own classes were over. She had been texting three different individuals after already having a conversation with one of those said people on her cellphone as well. It was rather early in the morning over in Japan but her brother never ceased to leave her alone! One would think she was the older sibling that went away to study in America but she was one year younger than him and he wouldn't leave her be! This call hadn't been just from him though and she was fine with that though just because her other siblings as well as her parents had spoken to her.
Now she was just down to texting him, her bestie, and THE best boyfriend ever. She had just finished typing out an irritated response to her brother complete with strange angry noises from Nat and had sent it at the time came into the room. She lifted her eyes from her snazzy little phone to look at the door just to make sure it wasn't one of the other girl's coming in and smiled at her weapon. She seemed pretty tired though and walked over to her bed before flopping down upon it. Her suspicions were confirmed when she heard Bang sound off in a tired voice greeting both her and Mei.
"Hey there sexy~! Welcome back~" Nat said in her cheery sing song voice just after Mei had greeted her as well.
Bang seemed to remain quiet after that for a time and Nat went back to focusing on her phone. It was weird for Bang to be so quiet but if she was tired then it couldn't be helped. Her fingers sped over the mini keyboard on her phone as she typed out a response to Misaki this time and one to Dante after that as well. She wasn't in the least surprised when she heard Bang exclaim that they tell scary stories after jumping up on her bed and she looked up at her with that creepily similar wicked grin as her bestie. So Bang wanted some scary stories did she; that was wonderful!!
"Well, my dear weapon, I do believe you have yourself a partner in crime for these said scary stories~!" Nat said to Bang with that same smile still on her face.
This was exactly why she liked having Bang as a weapon! Her smile only seemed to get wider when she heard the response from Mei on this matter and she laughed a little. Nat would always hear her alarm clock unless it was like that one time her brother turned it off thinking it'd be a funny prank but he learned his lesson. She listened as her weapon went on explaining that she had actually went to sleep for once but now without difficulty because she felt like she was being watched and asked if anything scary had ever happened to them before. She couldn't think of anything right off the top of her head that didn't involve her siblings being lame and giggled when Bang asked if they had a boogie man in their said countries.
Japan most certainly had their equivalent of the boogie man and several other little creatures to scare people with. They had some urban legends too that she wouldn't mind sharing let alone probably end up scaring one of them with. She watched as Bang hopped over to Mei sitting beside her and put her arm around her before saying they should stay up late to get scared. Nat was all for this spur of the moment decision and listened as Mei spoke her own answer to Bang's question. Natsuki slipped her phone into her bra and scooted over to where she was closer to where Bang and Mei were sitting with that wicked grin on her face.
"Yeah! We've got our own boogie man and we've got some other creatures too!" Nat said as she lifted her hands and wiggled her fingers like one might when describing bugs. "And if you two get too scared you can always sleep in my bed with me~~!" She continued with a lighter version of her grin as she proposed this thought to the two of them.

Outside it was dusk, a chilly evening (for Nevada anyway) and the sky was beginning to turn dark under the tyrannical embrace of storm clouds. A pathetic soft "pitter-patter" resounded off the windows as the desert sky did it's best to rain. Something about the prospect of telling ghost stories seemed to stir the air and cause a chilly breeze. Off in the distance lightning was dancing in the clouds, making it's way slowly towards Shibusen.
A presence was alerted to the events. It's interest piqued it spied diligently on Death City, waiting for some unknown event to set itself into motion. People began to take shelter from the coming storm, the streets were soon all but empty and the street lights flickered to life. Only one stark figure could now be seen patrolling the streets of Death City, a man dressed all in black with a thick wide brimmed hat. He waited under a canopy of a shop for something, no one was sure what for the figure never spoke a word to anyone.

Bang gives Mei a pout face knowing that she would be the one that might be against this idea and only because it's a school night. She reaches up and give's Mei's cheeks a little pinch, not to hard that it hurt though and she talked in a baby tone voice. "Don't worry Mei-Mei, Bang Bang will make sure you get up for class~. " She then let go of her face and dropped the voice going back to her normal pitched one. "Anyway Mei it's not like I sleep to begin with so I can stay up and keep watch over you if you get scared. So I will make sure you don't sleep in~ Nothing can scary this rocket launcher!!" Famous. Last. Words. "Plus we need a night to unwind get out minds off school work and training and other things that I am not thinking about right now."
Bang turned her head to face her meister to moment she started talking. She grinned knowing that Nat would be up for this Idea of fun. Nat was always into the same things as Bang, in fact they where like twins sometimes and it was rather creepy. She was also happy to hear that both girls has monsters in home lands and had plenty of stories to tell but it was rather odd that Mei didn't know who, or what more like, the boogie man was. "And like Nat said if you get to scared we can all cuddle on one bed! LIKE A SLEEP OVER!" Bang rubbed her head again at her comment and then stood up facing the two girls.
"Well Mei the just to enlighten you on the mater the you might have a boogie man you just didn't know it was called that. It seems that every culture has a boogie meant to scare children into being good little boys and girls! For me, being Jewish, my mother told me the story of Lilith. She was Adam's first wife and was kicked out of the garden of Eden because she wanted to be on top. Lilith was said to be mother of all demons~" Bang started to talk in a spooky voice and moved her hands while she talked to mimic some of the things she was going to describe to the girls. "It is said that she take many form from a woman of great beauty to an old hag with long claws~ To my people she is the reason why children suddenly die or go missing. My mother told me when I was little that I should behave and be a good little girl or Lilith would come and take me away in the night!" Bang made a grabbing motion with her hands at the two girl just as bolt of lighting flashed and the sound of thunder broke the night air.
Bang jumps and looks over at their window. "What the dick? I didn't hear anything about there being a storm on the way..." She walked over to their brightly colored window and pulls back the shear rainbow cloth. Bang put the cloth there so that when the shined into the room a rainbow would be cast all over it. Bang looked outside at the oncoming storm, it looked like a big one. "Huh what a wonderful night for telling scary stories. It looks like everyone in the City has taken shelter for the night....Odd...." Bang thought she in the distance near some shops a man dressed in black with a wide brim hat there. Well if he was there he was more then likely just waiting for the right time to run and hide from the storm. Bang turns back to her two roommates. "Well lets make sure we make this truly scary then~"

With Nat seeming just as excited about scary story telling as Bang was, Mei supposed she may as well run with the idea. Bang’s pinching of her cheeks and speaking to her although she was a small child was completely unnecessary but Mei put up with it in spire of herself. She knew the rainbow girl was just messing around and meant nothing by it, no matter how ridiculous it made the Chinese girl feel. She’d also forgotten the fact that her colorful roommate had the tendency to not sleeps o she supposed Bang really could wake her up should she sleep through her alarm on accident. Mei supposed that it was alright to goof off for a bit and nodded at Bang’s words, a small smile forming on her face.
Mei wasn’t necessarily worried about getting scared, though. True, she was certainly shy and often flustered by her friends but that was more culture shock than anything. Truth be told she didn’t scare all that easily. If anything, Mei was the one telling ghost stories to her younger sister and cousins back in her home province of Yunnan. She could remember quite easily how her sister Nuo always would put on a brave face but the second it was time for bed she would crawl over next to Mei to feel safer. The Chinese girl giggled at the memory. She then turned her attention to Bang who’d started to explain what exactly the boogie man was. Listening to the story, Mei started to think about the spirits and creatures her mother would always tell her and Nuo to watch out for if they behaved badly.
Mei couldn’t think of anything too much like that. Most of the creatures she knew from folk stories were far more gruesome than even this Lilith that Bang was speaking of. Still, she could think of at least one that was vaguely similar. Hearing a clap of thunder startled her from her thoughts and Mei watched Bang get up to look out the window. Mei was all too familiar with thunder storms. They could be particularly troublesome during the monsoon season back on the farm after all. Too much rain and the crops would wash away or drown, and if a stray lightning bolt hit a dry field a fire could start. As Bang turned back around to face her and Nat, Mei spoke up on the creature she had in mind,
“T-The closest c-creature I can t-think of in C-China to this b-boogie man i-is called Zhayu. I-it is a great d-dragon said to be m-made of Yin e-energy. It p-punishes e-evil and d-dishonest p-people. Wǒ de māmā, erm, my mother would a-always say if N-Nuo or myself m-misbehaved, i-it would come and e-eat us up.”
Nuo had always been more worried about being eaten up by a Zhayu than Mei had. Then again she never misbehaved as often as her younger sister did. Mei was calm, Nuo was far more rambunctious. Still, there were other creatures in Chinese folklore that Mei was scared of far more than she feared the Zhayu, dragon or not. Looking over to Nat, Mei tilted her head and smiled,
“A-And you, Nat? W-what c-creatures does J-Japan have?”
