Personality:Sid always refers to the type of man he used to be. He especially does this when lecturing his students. He often also speaks of the things he can do now that he is a zombie. Despite his appearance, even being called a big blue gorilla once, he is actually quite kind, and caring to his students and wants to see them all improve.
Remaining loyal to Shibusen thats the kind of man he was! He tends to be on an equal balance of close friend/boss relationship with Shinigami. While he tends to go along with the gags of the moment he is usually a quite serious man. Even with his partner Nygus, the two seem to keep a mutual respect for each other. He does not like to spoil his students thats not the kind of man he was!
History:
Sid was always a loyal student to the DWMA, by the time he was in his teens he was already performing dangerous elimination missions. At one point he was part of a team of meisters and weapons sent to eliminate the star clan. However when he found a young Black*Star he decided to bring him back to Shibusen instead of listening to stein and simply eliminating him. Not long after he became a mentor/father/brother like figure to Black*Star.
Many years later he became a three star knife meister, and teacher for Shibusen. However he is one day killed, when a figurine of the statue of liberty put a hole in his head. He is later turned into a zombie by professor Stein, and with a new sense of freedom began terrorizing students of Shibusen. He was then challenged to battle by the two pairs of students Maka Albarn and Soul Eater, and Black*Star with Tsubaki. While it seemed that he had the upper hand in most of the battle the students eventually managed to pull together unleashing powerful techniques such as Maka and Souls witch hunt, and finally being trapped by Black*Stars, Trap*Star.
After being interrogated in the oddest way, he informed the group of what Stein did to him and that defeating him was the final part of the lesson. As the group proceeded to battle he willingly sat patiently and watched the events unfold. Once over it is revealed that the everything was simply a trick set up by Shinigami and Stein to teach the students a better lesson.
When Black*Star failed to capture any kishin egg souls making his partner Tsubaki look bad, he decides to punish him, by having him clean the entire library. When he leaves to grade tests however Black*Star Sneaks off with Death the Kid to find the legendary holy sword Excalibur. When he returns he finds Tsubaki has cleaned all but one of the books of the library in Black*Stars place, enraged and about to find him he is then told by stein of what Black*Star went to do, quickly he decides to go back to grading tests, leaving the boy to his fate.
He soon found himself giving an ultimate written exam to the students of Shibusen. Black*Star in his stupidity tried to cheat and was easily caught by stein, once again creating issues for Sid. Soul another dummy in the class tried to cheat and was given no choice to but sit in his underwear for the remainder of the test, for trying to hide the answers through ought his clothing. Besides those two idiots most of the test went smoothly, besides the antics of Death the kid and his two partners, but they are special cases anyways.
Soon the school nurse,Medusa, had been suspected of being a witch of all things, and Sid and his partner Nygus are sent to investigate. Upon investigation, mainly reading her diary, all the info he needed was gained to support that she was indeed a witch. But before he knew it he fell prey to a vicious trap from a witches spell, that filled the house with bombs. He managed to barely escape in one piece using his burrowing skills, but was still heavily injured by the blasts.
When he made it back to Shibusen during the commemoration festival, he wasted no time warning everyone to get out before using his resonance Forced Burial to help the closest people to the door escape. The next many events would change things for a while. Although he was injured badly he survives but do to a conversation between him and Shinigami, it is revealed to the remaining students, that a Kishin is sealed underneath the school.
Once recovered, and the barrier that the team of witches working with Medusa used to trap them wore off, Sid wasted no time gathering up the students and rushing to Death City to assist the citizens. However despite the actions of everyone the Kishin is revived. Even worse the Kishin manages to escape Death City by catching Shinigami off guard, who at the time had no weapon to fight him back with. Since Spirit his main partner, was one of the group of people Sid helped escape.
After the events Sid's life became even more busy as he was sent to gather as many of the Death Scythes as he could. While he managed to get four of them, two could not make it do to missions, one he simply had trouble communicating with, and worse the last just refused to show up. Despite this Shinigami did not seem bothered at all. He would later receive info about a group called Arachnophobia and the whereabouts of one of there labs from the death scythe Yumi Azusa. He then proceeded to tell his partner Nygus who was filling in the position of school nurse, unaware that the young Black*Star was listening in.
Soon he found himself on yet another dangerous mission he was to infiltrate the Arachnophobia Laboratory teaming up with his partner Nygus, with the support of the death scythe Yumi, find the object called a Demon tool, gather info on it then destroy it. With help from Yumi, alongside with his stealth and assassin skills he manages to sneak about easily, but is startled by an alarm. It is revealed that a student is actually at the entrance of the laboratory causing havoc. Despite his wish to go stop this student, he proceeds further with his mission, using this moment to get about much more easily. After finding his target he managed to gather pictures of the demon tool, and found a blueprint from the book of Eibon. His mission complete he planted explosives in the proper places, and blueprint in his bag. He was now set to finish this and get his team, and that student out of there.
Once he found Yumi it was revealed to him that the student was none other then Black*Star, however he was to late and Black*Star had already been defeated by the samurai Mifune. Using Yumi's weapon form a Musket like crossbow, he took aim first shooting a small man,Mosquito, and then aiming for the samurai who to Sid's amazement,managed to parry the shot and moved to a blind spot. Nygus then setting off the explosives destroyed the lab, the enemies then proceeded to flee allowing for escape.
After placing the blueprint for the demon tool he destroyed in Shinigamis vault under his orders, he then proceeds to Death the Kids location who is currently fighting off a member of Arachnophobia, and one of the Mizune witches, over another demon tool. Near the end of the battle Sid arrives, using his partners knife form to deliver the finishing blow to the Kishin egg, Fisher King. He tells kid that he and the Shibusen's Africa Branch's Recovery Squad will handle the rest. When told that the witch managed to get away he ignores this, saying that only retrieving the demon tool was important. Then making the statement that they were now in the possession of another one.
Soon he found himself in a large scale battle with Arachnophobia over another demon tool called "Brew". Once again teaming up with the death scythe Yumi, he and a team of shibusen forces waged battle, but soon found themselves being decimated by the sole power of the samurai Mifune. Sid using his skills and Yumis weapon form manage to play a game of cat and mouse with the samurai, but Mifune proves to be a deadly opponent not giving them any room for error. With Help from Nygus setting up traps, and Sid using his burrowing ability to hold Mifune down from underground they manage to deal a powerful combo of blows. However the samurai proves equally as persistent wounding Sid heavily in the process.
The two now stood in a stand off, both with weapons in hand. Sid then questions why a man like Mifune would willingly serve Arachnophobia. Before the next round before the two can start, a retreat signal for shibusen is sent out, and the two agree to leave the other be till next they meet. After he returns to the rendezvous point, not even thinking of his own wounds he orders for the the treatment of the wounded. The two students who set off the retreat signal, Kim and Jacqueline, told him the details of the team sent to get brew. Realizing they were in a bad condition, he set off to help them. When he arrived questioning if they obtained brew he found stein on the ground laughing next to Marie, another Death Scythe. All he could do was offer stein his shoulder.
Afterwords the final battle between Shibusen and Arachnophobia took place. Sid lead many of shibusens forces into battle against them. After Kishin Asura is defeated, and the lead of Arachnophobia the witch Arachne was eaten by him prior the war was ended. After the battle he continues his duties at shibusen as a teacher, still of course carrying out his other missions as well.
