Appearance: Natsuki stands at about an average height for someone of her age and descent but is naturally boosted by two inches as she is 5'4". Her weight is also on average for someone of her height at 124 lbs. She has a slim figure while most of the weight can be found within her chest and due to muscles. Her body shape being that of a top hourglass as her bust is larger than her hips with a well defined waist. Her legs are long and toned just like her abs as well as her arms but not overly so. She has long black hair that falls past her waist ending with a straight cut as it is kept healthy. Her bangs fall onto her face much like any other person's but she has two strips on either side that are longer than the bangs that frame her face. She's good at keeping her hair tamed and can be found wearing it up when she's bothered by it or its in the way. Her eyes are a gray-blue in color, however, sometimes they appear black depending on the way the light hits her eyes. Her face is heart shaped and her skin is light in color looking as though she hardly spends time in the sun. Her skin isn't sensitive so it is really hard for her to get burnt or even get a tan. Her skin is soft but calloused from her training. She has both of her ears pierced while her right ear also has three helix piercings and she has her lower lip pierced with snake bites.

There are a lot of names that can be given to the style of dress that she likes to wear but it is composed of clothes that she just feels comfortable in. Natsuki will wear anything that contains neon colors, black, or fishnet as those are the things she likes the most when it comes to her clothing. She typically wears corsets, tank tops, and short sleeve or long sleeve shirts that have catchy sayings or pictures on them. Her favorite form of torso coverage is a neon colored tank top with a long sleep fishnet shirt over top. When it comes to completing an outfit she usually goes for skirts both short jean skits or miniskirts or even short shorts. On occasion she'll wear skinny jeans no matter what style they are in or skinny Tripps. Since the weather in Death City is usually unbearably hot she doesn't wear them all the often. When it comes to shoes, she can usually be wearing a heel of some sort or converse shoes. Her heels speak for themselves as they are hardly ever boring and have some kind of decoration on them. While most of her boots have heels to them, she also has combat boots in her closet but not just one pair as she has at least a few different variations. Accessories are something that she can't really live without but there are times when she has to suck it up and not wear any. She typically wears bangles and necklaces that match as she wears her accessories in a theme. If one accessory is spiky then the rest of them are. As for earrings she typically wears small rings in her helix piercings and studs or dangle earrings in her normal spots. Her snake bites either contain studs or rings within them.

Fighting Style: Natsuki has been training in Shotokan style karate since she was 4 years old as she was enrolled as early an age as it was permitted. It is a tradition within her family to learn as well as begin training as soon as possible. She is currently a 1st degree brown belt as her return to Japan allowed her to put in more training at her dojo. While she still strictly trained in America, she was not able to take the rank exam. Despite her hyper behavior, she knows when to buckle down and get serious, which is typically brought out while she is training.

One look at her and one would think she is the furthest thing from her heritage. They have done well to keep written out of history but the Yoshida clan is well versed in the way of the ninja. They start their training in ninjutsu at a young age. There are 18 disciplines in ninjutsu that their family dojo teaches them. She has been training since she was 4 in the 18 different disciplines, which involve several different fighting techniques to go with the different weapons she has been taught to wield. The training begins out simple to get the students going and as they get older their training gets more difficult and more in depth. Her most prominent training is in Taijutsu (Shotokan karate), Chōhō (espionage), Hensōjutsu (disguise & impersonation), Shinobi-iri (stealth & entering methods), and Intonjutsu (escaping and concealment). Some of this training includes being able to fight in a lack of space as well as stun an enemy if she has been detected.

Natsuki, however, is not a stranger to how others fight and tends to ditch her training for a less serious fighting style. This could also just be a tactic to make it seem as though she doesn't know how to fight and trick her opponent. That is only something that Nat knows. She has been told that she has a great right hook but she is more fond of kicking. She guards her body with her arms as she fights and kicks when she has the advantage. She is no stranger to feinting in a fight, which could be some of her training tactics coming in to play but its also because she likes catching her opponent off guard. This also includes using puppy dog eyes or tears in a fight if she has to but she usually uses those two tactics when she is play fighting with her friends. She typically doesn't use her ninjutsu training when she is fighting but sometimes she is forced to get really serious. She uses most of her training without realizing it most of the time or in a really silly way. If she meets an opponent that seems to be trained in a form of taijutsu then she will buckle down and bring out her own skills that she was taught.

Personality: Natsuki probably has the energy of a four year old and then some. In fact, most people just assume that she is jacked up on energy drinks but that is not the case when it comes to her. She can almost always be found in a hyper state of mind, which may lead to her doing things on the spur of the moment. Such things would include busting out into song for no apparent reason, yelling rather loudly or even just deciding to get ice cream in the middle of the night. Unlike energy drinks, she has a great fondness for candy and seems to have some on her at all times. She dislikes it when people tell her to calm down and try to blame it on the amount of candy that she eats. She'll go on a fast from her candy to prove that it isn't the reason why she has copious amounts of energy.

Any other time Nat is a pretty calm person, however, this is only when it comes to her temper. She doesn't typically get mad very easily and prefers to go about solving problems by talking them out instead. That isn't always the case, however, as there are things that make her blow up in anger. These things include her family and friends in any manner such as insulting, hurting or bullying them. She's really protective when it comes to them and sometimes she can't help but snap and go on a rampage. In any other case, she isn't likely to just attack someone if they do something that irritates her but things pile up after a while or if its done more than once then she'll get mad.

Natsuki seems to be in a constant state of cheeriness as the smile on her face suggests. There is almost always a hop in her step and she can be found singing or humming as she does so. She is in good cheer enough so that she doesn't like to see others upset. Whoever it is doesn't matter to her. If someone is upset then she will try to the best of her ability to cheer them up and put a smile on their face. Surprisingly enough she is a rather good listener and will listen to what is troubling someone without judging them. Sometimes that is what people need. To be heard without anyone judging them for what they have done. Most people who see this side of her know that she is kind and caring underneath all that energy. She'll never let a friend down in their time of need.

Anyone who truly knows, the Japanese girl will know that she can be a pouter at times. She has had practice on her older brother as well as her parents when it comes to this but it isn't a perfected art. The best thing to keep her from being lazy and doing things she doesn't want to do is to tell her no and mean it. She's kind of like a dog in that aspect. She'll usually pull out her pouting when she wants something and can't be bothered to go get it herself. This doesn't really make her a spoiled brat because no one has really ever fallen to this act all the time. Her parents made sure to keep that from happening even if it was harder to keep their eldest son from doing the same. If someone tells her 'no' then she will get up and do whatever it is herself as if she's testing the water or something. She isn't afraid to pester people about what kind of candy is her favorite when she's in a store. This was pretty much where she got the most training for her puppy dog eyes as a child and even now as a teenager it still works on a few people especially her older brother.

A couple more things that should be mentioned and noted about Nat is that she can be a bit of a troll and she isn't shy at all. They are traits that tend to get mixed in together at times. She can also be considered a little bit of a matchmaker but that's because she'll troll her friends if she notices that they have a interest in each other. Its almost as if she has a radar for these kinds of things and as such she is referred to as a matchmaker. She is likely to troll the one of her friends that isn't admitting their feelings until they do. She's not afraid of making out with one of them in front of the other to see if she'll get a reaction out of them and it doesn't matter if its a girl or not. Her reasoning behind these tactics is that she is a sucker for happy endings especially since she likes her friends being happy. If being a troll gets the ball rolling then she is more than happy to volunteer to get the job done. That is pretty much where her not being shy comes into play as she doesn't get nervous around people who she could potentially date even if she likes them and isn't afraid to admit she likes them. She's a big flirt when it comes to her own love life after all. There is also the fact that she isn't afraid to consider making out with someone in the middle of play fight as a distraction. She playfully names them her ninja maneuvers but when she's asked if she is a real ninja she laughs rather creepily and denies it.

Despite the way she normally acts, Natsuki is a rather intelligent individual especially when you take away the yelling and the make out distraction maneuvers. She does like getting good grades and is willing to sit down long enough to study if she has to. She has to come up with ways to keep herself interested but when she really tries she can sit down and focus. She got pretty good grades back in Japan even when she had all her training going on in the background and wasn't about to let that change when she first went to America to attend Shibusen. She will even offer her services to others to help them study for a test or just the classwork in general if they need it but prepared for Nat studying as it is a scary sight to behold.

Abilities: Natsuki has the ability to use soul perception and has tried her best to hone her abilities when she found herself able to use it. She finds it rather easy to concentrate even if she is a hyper child, she is still a ninja and is quite capable of standing still with her eyes closed to use the ability to detect the souls of others. She can currently detect the souls of others up to 25 ft in a radius around her.

History: Natsuki Yoshida was born the second child of the Yoshida family on the 20th of May. Her parents are kind people who raised their children to be respectful of their elders and never ask for anything that they didn't need. However, the latter probably didn't stick too much to Natsuki as it should have but she didn't always ask for things she didn't need. She was raised at first with her older brother who is but a year older than her and they were treated like twins. Their mother found it fun to dress them up alike and parade them around like that. It was a common question even when they weren't wearing matching clothing. She is teased to this day about how she used to follow her older brother around like a little lost puppy and it is probably one of the few things that will get her flustered.

The two saw a lot of the dojo as they grew older and Natsuki became rather lonely when her older brother started his training a year before she did. She was still recovering over her younger brother, Shiki, being born and getting all the attention. There was a point in time that she was jealous of him and that was most likely why she grew so fond of singing. Even if she was only two at the time, she would run around their home singing to try to get the attention of her parents. She grew out of this stage, however, as soon as she realized people would pay attention to her if she acted like a big sister but it was more because she realized how cute he was.

Natsuki didn't really have to worry about her younger brother hogging all the attention as two years later she was off to start her own training. Her little sisters were also born a year after Shiki so the attention shifted to the instead. They stayed at home while they were in their training but they were usually gone for a long period of time even though it wasn't all that tough at that stage. There was enough of a challenge for the four year old as she developed her mind around her ninjutsu and karate. Her time spent at home was to keep her from having her mind solely on the fighting aspects all the time. There was going to be times when their talents wouldn't be needed.

She watched her younger siblings grow with a smile on her face and as they grew older they joined their older siblings at the dojo. She had grown adapt to being an older sibling and didn't seem to mind at all about them getting the attention. She grew out of the stage of wanting the attention once they had been born after all. As her older brother and her grew older they started to take their training home with them and would spar whenever they got the chance. Her parents made sure to tell their children that they didn't care if one of them was better than the other as long as they knew who they were and looked after each other. There was a difference between their teachings and the teachings of their ancestors. They were to treat each other equally and she would offer help to her younger siblings or even her older brother when she felt the need to do so.

It was around her last year in middle school that Natsuki discovered the style of clothing that she wears even now. She found it interesting and the colors mesmerized her in an odd way. She was hesitant at first because she wasn't sure how her parents would take her dressing in such a manner but she soon got their approval. Unlike other parents, they felt that if they limited their children then they would just do it behind their backs and as long as she dressed properly for important matters then it was fine. This lead them to allowing her to get her three helix piercings on her right ear much to her surprise but her brother disliked them but this wasn't until she reached high school. It was at this point that people started to assume that she was a delinquent with how she dressed after school and the piercings on her ear.

Nat was in the middle of her second year of high school when she discovered her ability as a meister. It had been a weird experience that involved her looking for someone that she had been chasing after. She had been in a rush but stopped to cool down and take a breather. As she stood still and thought about the person she had been on a mission to find she found herself able to focus on various souls in the area. It freaked her out a little at first and made her forget about who she had been looking for. She instead went home keeping quiet about it until her mother told noticed how odd her daughter had been acting. She came to learn that she had discovered the ability of soul perception and was a meister but she also learned that her mother was one too.

The more Natsuki talked to her mother about being a meister the more she wanted to learn how to control her abilities as well as get better. Her mother told her about the school for people just like them in America called Shibusen. She grew excited as her mother told her more about it and after a couple of days she told her parents that she wanted to go to Shibusen so she could learn more. She was given permission and after getting the right side of her lip pierced to document a new chapter in her life she was off to America. At the time she thought about finding a partner and how if she accomplished making them a deathscythe that she could get the other half of her lip pierced to document it.

Her plans changed, however, as she found herself returning to Japan after being at Shibusen for a long period of time. Her family had come calling for her as she had some business to attend to and she found herself doing other things while she was there as well. This gave her long period of time to think about things and a chance to take her exam to become a 1st degree brown belt. One thing she thought about was starting up her singing career, which had been a dream of hers for a time before she discovered she was a meister. She put herself out there as a singer with the help of her brother but she has yet to hear anything back from them. Natsuki found herself missing Shibusen as her time in Japan grew longer and as she decided to go back to the school she got the left side of her lip pierced to document another new chapter in her life as well as her return to the school. Upon her return she found herself being described as a lost soul although that wasn't true at all. She just wants to continue learning in piece and has yet to actually show people she is indeed a lost soul. However, shall anything arise that calls for her return to Japan she will drop everything and run back but as of right now she is back at Shibusen.

Extra Notes:
Nat has an entire bookshelf dedicated to manga and anime. She also has a few trinkets around her room from going to cons as well as a collage above her bookshelf with pictures she has taken at them.

Natsuki has always been a sucker for singing and will break out into song whenever she sees fit. This also means she has a karaoke machine hidden away in her closet but she hasn't had a chance to break it out yet.

Nat names the things she does while she is play fighting with her friends ninja maneuvers even if it makes her sound like a little kid.

”Shishishishishishi~!” A very peculiar laugh sounded signaling the appearance of the black haired teen. ”Check it out bro!” She continued as she leaned in close to her older brother’s face as best as she could while pointing at her lip ring.

A sigh rang in Natsuki’s ears as her older brother, Yuki, closed his eyes and pushed her out of his space. This only made her frown as she stared up at him before twitching at the bit of pain in her lip. He was holding a book in his hand at the time and lightly hit her on the top of the head with it. She let out a long annoying whine that could only be described as normal for her in most cases. He was mad at her now and that always made her whine especially if he hit her on the head with whatever he had in his hands.

”OOOOOOOOOOONIIIIII-CHANNNNNNNNNNNN~!” She whined again, which only made her brother twitch in response.

Yep. There was no doubt about it now. He was totally mad at her and it was all totally because of the lip ring. Or maybe he was upset that she was going to be going off to America and he was just being a jerk because he didn't want her to go. It was too late now though because half of her things were already waiting for her there. It was the same case for the lip ring as well because she was not about to take it out just to please him. No because it was symbolic! Perhaps it would be best if she explained it to him so he would understand that she had done it for a certain reason.

Nat put a stern look on her face and stared up at her brother again getting on her tippy toes a bit to be able to look him directly in the eye. It wasn't working very well but she was ignoring this fact and just kept an unhappy look on her face as she stared at her older brother. He wasn't opening his eyes to look at her at all so that meant that he wasn't aware she was staring him down right now, right? That meant she could poke him to death until he decided to open his eyes and pay attention to her. She had something important to say and she was going to get him to pay attention no matter what.

“Just say what you were going to say, Natsuki. I’m not stopping you.” The sudden ring of her brother’s voice almost made her fall backwards out of surprise but she caught herself before she did.

‘Grumpy frumpy bumpy bear!’ Nat hated it when people used her full first name and she definitely hated it when her older brother used it. That was the assurance she needed to know that he was without a doubt mad. She didn't like it when her brother was being a grumpy, meany bear towards because that was his ‘I’m totally mad at you, Nat. HOPE YOU FALL OFF A CLIFF OR SOMETHING!’ attitude although she hoped he didn't really want her to fall off a cliff or something because that would be upsetting. She just made a noise that was her annoyed and totally irritated noise and took a deep breath. She was really ready to make him feel bad about being such a fucking jerk about the whole lip piercing but suddenly she wasn't upset with him.

”N-ne! Onii-chan!” One look up at her brother and suddenly all the irritation she felt towards him was gone. ”D-don’t cry, Nii-chan! I’ll come back to visit! Ne! Ninjas don’t cry silly!” Nat continued as she tackled her older brother with a hug and he picked her up in bear hug that could rival the strongest bear ever.

Clumsy doesn’t count unless you mean poor balance, madness needs to be explained to count, and far sighted doesn’t count if she wears contacts all the time.

A few things still need some tweaks

Height/Weight: She is a tad underweight still. For her height 124 is the lowest in the average range.

Fighting Style: I feel like you are trying to do too much here. I can accept her being a high level in that style of karate but mixed with ninjutsu it becomes more iffy. You mention she doesn’t seem the part of a ninja but you also fail to explain how she acts like one at all. Explaining what she knows doesn’t do much if she doesn’t implement it.

I suggest either scrapping the ninjutsu and focusing on the karate or lowering the karate and focusing on the ninjutsu, mostly actually explaining how she fights that involves ninjutsu.

Extra: It’s not as bad but there are still a few areas where the grammar is incorrect or you use the wrong word for something. This isn’t a major issue but could be easily fixed while editing the other parts.

Fighting Style: The last paragraph is closest to what I’m looking for but it doesn’t work as is with what you have before it.

Knowing how she fights when play fighting is fine and can stay but I need to know how she actually fights for real. What you have in the first two paragraphs seems to belong more in her history than her fighting style.

“She is currently a 1st degree brown belt” Ok, but what does that entail? I assume she is pretty competent in fighting as such but how does she fight? Aggressive offense, methodical defense, kicks, punches, strikes, grapples, throws, airborne, grounded. These are the things I need to know about. If she is in a real fight is she going to run up and kick the enemy or see what it does and try to counter?

“There are 18 disciplines in ninjutsu that their family dojo teaches them.” This is good to know but I don’t need to know the specifics of her training just the results. If she has different fighting techniques with different weapons explain them. If stealth is something she is trained in explain how she uses it in a fight. Disguises and such probably won’t be relevant in a fight so add that information to her history instead of fighting style. Explain how she fights in enclosed spaces and stuns enemies instead of just saying she does.

Personally my suggestion would be to clear this and rewrite it as follows:

1st paragraph- How she fights unarmed. Include any relevant details regarding karate and ninjutsu disciplines.

2nd paragraph- How she fights with a weapon. State those different techniques with different weapons here. End with a few solid sentences about how she would fight with a demon weapon and against a kishin egg.

3rd paragraph- How she fights when not serious. Explain her play fighting antics here.

And if there is information about her training that doesn’t fit place it in her history.


Once this is done she should be good to go though!
