Lang; Caroline;Weapon
Name: Caroline Mei Lang
Nickname: Carol (on very rare occasions)
Age: 27
Gender: Female
Race: Weapon
Position: Nurse
Class: Graduated Weapon
Partner: Reserved (Takashi Kaijou)
A Strong Body
Picture:
Appearance: Caroline stands at about slightly less than average height with a slim, athletic frame that weighs in at about 120 pounds. Her black hair is cut in a very slight A-line, with the ragged edges nearly shoulder-length in front and at the nape of her neck in the back. She also has bangs in the front. Her dark eyes are slightly rounded but still reflect her family's Chinese ancestry. She has a tendency to look a little off-balance when she stands, but it's merely a matter of poor posture on her part and no indication of clumsiness in her movements.
Her normal attire is a dark blue kimono with white trimmings that falls to her calves. The sleeves are loose and extend to her wrists. A light purple obi holds the center in place at her abdomen. She wears a mesh shirt underneath the kimono and black, open-toed sandals with low heels on her feet. This attire is loose and works well for her when she is taking care of her nursing duties, but when on a mission she'll wear a different outfit. This includes an olive green vest with a high, padded collar, a long-sleeved blue shirt, blue pants, and open-toed blue shoes. Her ankles and calves are also wrapped in white gauze for extra protection.
Height: 5 feet and 5 inches
Weight: 120lbs
Fighting Style: Due to her lack of endurance and stamina, Caroline has to make her fights as brief as possible. Lucky for her, she is a keen strategist with quick feet and fast reflexes. Her main goal before a fight is to find a target's weakness. If she doesn't have time to analyze before a fight, she'll spend a little time dodging attacks until she can pinpoint a weakness and exploit it to the best of her abilities. Her attacks are usually rapid and brief – she'll get close, make a few hits, then back off and prepare for another round. With her partial form, this repetition is shortened because she has a blade that she can slice and stab with instead of relying on the little strength she has in her punches and kicks.
Personality: Caroline can be a rather bitter person to be around when one first meets her. She is sarcastic and easily flustered, often making it difficult to maintain a simple conversation with her. This mostly stems from her own insecurities about her adequacy as a weapon. Once she is comfortable around someone, though, she can become rather clingy and attached, reluctant to let them go and often becoming jealous of those that distract the person she cares about. This jealousy heightens especially when a friend of hers is around a Death Scythe.
All this fades away when Caroline is doing her job, though. When she is at the Academy, she is kind, caring, and gentle, always willing to step up to the plate and lend a hand wherever she can. She has impeccable bedside manners and always makes sure that her patients feel like they’re the only person she cares about. She’ll put her normally shy personality away all for the sake of making sure her patients, especially student patients, are comfortable. This also makes her a little obsessive, thus she has a strong tendency to keep a crystal clean environment that absolutely no one is allowed to ruin without good reason. Even then, she is not above forcing students to clean up any mess they make in her office (except if they physically cannot do it).
When nobody is looking, though, Caroline is a daydreamer. She often tries to imagine what her life would be if she had tried a little harder and become a Death Scythe. Oftentimes Caroline can get lost in this state of mind until someone comes around to wake her up for either social time or work.
Inside the Soul
Weapon form:
Caroline’s only weapon form is a katana. The handle is wrapped in white leather with a rayskin underwrap. Engraved designs are featured on both sides of the blade, but only one side of the blade is sharp while the other side is blunt. The total length of her katana form is 42.5 inches, with a blade length of 28 inches. Besides all that, her weapon form is on the plain side with no fancy decorations besides the white leather and the blade engravings.
Partial Form: Because of her dependence on previous partner, Kazuo, Caroline never spent much time perfecting a partial form. The best she can do on her own is turn either one of her forearms into the blade of her katana. Other than that, there isn’t much she can do on her own.
Abilities: Healing Wavelength: Caroline's Healing Wavelength is a special type of soul wavelength that can help purge Madness from the souls of others. It has a calming effect that helps her with patients that have undergone high exposure to Madness wavelengths, therefore making her job as a nurse much easier.
Out of your Mind
Strengths: Strategic Agile Quick Reflexes
Weaknesses: Physically Weak Low Endurance Low Stamina
Hobbies:- Caroline loves collecting random scented candles. As long as she thinks it smells nice, she’ll take a bunch home and burn through half of them in about a week.
- Caroline likes to play piano. She can’t read a lick of music and only plays short melodies by ear, but she finds the activity relaxing.
Likes: Colorful Band-aids Caring for Shibusen Students Cleaning things Scented Candles Dark Chocolate
Dislikes: Death Scythes Large Parties Rap Music Dying Patients Tangerines
Subject: School Nurse
History: Caroline Lang was born to a family of rather average weapons living in Locke, California, a Chinese ethnic enclave that her family had been living in for four generations. None of them had truly done anything spectacular; there wasn’t even a Death Scythe in her line, but it didn’t matter. Her family took great pride in their skills and made sure that Caroline understood this from a very young age. She was the third of three daughters and always looked up to her elder sisters with great respect. They were all some form of katana and were all trained to wield each other by the time Caroline was ten. In terms of family, she never had a problem. There was certainly the occasional drama between her and her sisters, but apart from that nothing major ever happened.
One by one Caroline’s sisters left for Shibusen. She would receive letters from them once every few weeks detailing their adventures, especially the ones that involved their partners. With each letter, Caroline grew more and more excited for the day when she would follow in the footsteps of her sisters. Finally that day came, and she left her hometown without a second glance so that she could seek the same amazing future that her sisters had accomplished.
It wasn’t long before she found a partner in a boy named Kazuo Mori. He was brilliant, arrogant, and slightly bitter about being a meister, but to Caroline he was the most amazing human being on the planet. They made an amazing team together, even better than her sisters’ teams, and there was no one else that she cared for more in the world than Kazuo. Because of her attachment to him, she often forced herself to remain oblivious to the fact that he never wanted to be a meister. He had his own goals in life, goals that didn’t involve creating a Death Scythe, let alone fighting. Despite this, Caroline and Kazuo got along quite well.
They were only about ten souls away from being granted permission to hunt down a witch and Caroline was already envisioning a future with Kazuo that went beyond being a simple team. She would often daydream of settling down with him, retiring from fighting evil all over the world and starting a family of their own. It all looked so perfect to her until she became very ill. Caroline came down with a very serious case of pneumonia, one that put her out of service. Due to her conditions, the doctors examining her could not come up with a date when she would be able to fight again. As each day passed on, Caroline could see that Kazuo was becoming more and more agitated. After all the time she had spent with him, she finally allowed herself to see that she wasn’t what he wanted. He had been forced by his family to be at the Academy, and she had never truly acknowledged the fact that everybody had been ignoring his dreams of becoming a doctor. Now that she was in a state of near-uselessness, she knew that she had to let him go. The last time he came to visit her at the hospital, she told him to leave and chase after his dreams; she didn’t want to hold him back anymore. Caroline received letters from him occasionally after he left, but after a few years the letters stopped and she wasn't able to contact him anymore.
A few months later, Caroline recovered enough to leave the hospital. Without a partner and still not at perfect health, she decided it would be best to retire from being a weapon and move on to another career path. She knew she wasn’t smart enough to become a doctor like Kazuo, so she decided to go into nursing. Within a few years she had a degree and requested to work at the Shibusen as the school nurse. She was granted the job and has been working there ever since.

RP Sample: It had been a trying day for Caroline already. The morning had passed with two cases of “I fell down the stairs” (Caroline wasn’t stupid enough to fall for such a lame cover for a fight) along with one twisted ankle from a team that was preparing for a mission that would have to be postponed for a few weeks now. By the time she had managed to squeeze in a few bites for lunch, the next tide of the Shibusen medical circus arrived sending her into yet another spree of bandages, ice packs, and scoldings. She didn’t know what was going on with the students today, but apparently a bunch of them had decided that today was an absolutely wonderful day to break out into fights, come down with fevers, or simply trip over their own feet.
Despite all this, Caroline kept her head up and worked with each student with as much care as if they had been her only patient the entire day. By the time the final bells had rung, Caroline’s face was growing weary of holding up a reassuring smile for the patients who had decided sobbing over a bruise was a perfectly appropriate reaction to a rather mild injury. It was a good thing the last patient of the day was a rowdy boy that needed a strong chastising more than reassurance. She didn’t know how much longer she would have been able to hold on to her pleasant demeanor.
Everything had finally quieted down and the school was nearly empty. Caroline was diligently filing away the last of the papers for the day, yet she found her tired mind wandering.
What’s Kazuo doing right now?
Of course the question was the first thing that popped into her head nearly every time she got a break. What’s Kazuo doing? Is he happy? Is he a doctor already? How many lives has he saved? What kinds of friends does he have? Caroline’s mind meandered down its usual path of daydreaming until she heard the door swung open and was abruptly dragged out of her little mind world.
“Now what – oh.” Caroline was prepared to scold students for getting into another fight on campus, but that wasn't the case with the pair that had just stumbled in. A weapon was barely holding up his meister, their clothes were stained in blood, and a teacher was standing behind them with a grim expression on his face. Without another word, Caroline gently took the meister from her weapon partner, laid her on the nearest bed, and began to work. She was unconscious and had a series of deep cuts all over her body. Caroline could barely hear the teacher trying to get an explanation from the weapon boy as she went to work. Her night had just gotten a lot longer, but it was a relief to drag herself out of the rabbit hole of her thoughts. She silently began cleaning the wounds, taking her time lest she cause any pain that would awaken the girl. It didn't matter to her what had happened to the pair; her world was now completely focused on fixing every last injury she could find on the meister in front of her.

Just a few small edits needed and you’ll be good. Appearance:Please up this to at least 200 words History: -It’s just Shibusen not the Shibusen -Where is she from? Extra: Your katana image link doesn’t work -Technically any weapon who absorbs 99 kishin souls and one witch soul is just a death scythe not a death weapon. But this is more a note than a telling you to change it.
