Race: Meister

A Strong Body
Picture:
Appearance:She is pretty much like her picture dictates. Sakuya has silver hair that glimmers just so even in dim lighting, she plans on wearing it in a braid when she goes out for Kishin souls. Her hair sticks up in places that makes Sakuya's hair a tad tough to tame. She's uncomfortably small, just about anyone would tower over her. Even though she's small she has a strength uncommon for a girl of her size. Sakuya has small and dainty hands, further adding to the illusion that she's anything but strong. Her eyes are a light shade of red, piercing almost as if she can look into your very soul(the irony). She's almost as pale as porcelain.
Sakuya has a soft demeanor that quickly hardens should anyone get on her nerves or threaten anyone she loves. Sakuya has a soft side for dresses and skirts that she may wear when not on her missions(the red dress no exception). She will wear a down to the ground sweater just because she get's a tad shy when people see her dressed up for no reason. Sakuya also loves to wear berets that her mother brought with her from her days as a meister, when she went on a mission. When on a mission she will wear a green T-shirt and blue jeans with patched holes in the knees, also as an accessory she will often wear green ribbons entwining around her arms.
Height: 5'2"
Weight: 118 lbs
Fighting Style: When a fight starts Sakuya hangs back and looks for ways through a person or kishin's defense. If she sees a flaw or a weakness she'll gladly exploit it, she's extremely careful but when her temper flares she will rush into fights using her full strength. She tries to uphold the honors of fighting but when the odds are against her she's certainly not afraid to fight dirty.
Personality: She tends to be shy and nervous girl especially when meeting complete strangers. Its rather hard for her to make friends because of her tendency to be shy and so she usually comes off as stand offish to most people. When she did have friends at where she lived she let the other person do the talking but coming to Shibusen she's determined to change.
When she hears about people getting hurt or killed it breaks her heart. She's quite litterally, in a term, a nervous wreck because of some things in her past. Towards her friends she can be cheerful and she'll be willing to share anything, even the stuff that is bothering her. Sakuya depends on her friends a lot but she also has a strong sense of justice that makes her sometimes unable to keep her mouth shut.
In social situations such as parties and get togethers she can be the one to sit or stand alone unless her friends are there. Sakuya might be a shy girl but she also has quite a temper, thought maybe because she doesn't speak out a lot she tends to curl her hands into fists, dig her fingernails into her palm and seethe in silence. And as you can see she can be a walking contradiction: Shy with a temper, soft but hard, though doesn't speak a lot she'll gladly do so for justice.
Inside the Soul
Abilities: Sakuya has Soul Perception. When she uses Soul Perception she can sense souls within a 13 foot radius. She's able to differentiate between a humans, a kishins, and a witch's soul but if the witch is using their Soul Protect then like most meisters she's unable. Sakuya usually says the words out loud because it helps her to concentrate more.

Hobbies: In her free time she loves to read and ocasionally goes to the store to get herself a new one(sometimes once a day!) History: Before Sakuya came to Shibusen she had lived in the town of Mccomb Mississippi, even though it was a small town Sakuya could always find something to do. When Sakuya was little she'd had an incident where she'd sensed the soul of a kishin when it wasn't far away from her. It was like an explosion to her senses and she could automatically sense all of the souls around her, the playfulness of children, the shameless flirts of teenagers, even the arrogance of a young man near by, and then there was the murderous intent of the kishin. The kishin had noticed her and narrowed his concentration on her. Even as a thirteen year old Sakuya could remember running tripping and stumbling as she tried desperately to escape the kishin. It was by then that she unknowingly ran down an alleyway and very nearly ran into a brick wall that had trapped her. There was now no where to escape. Sakuya turned and watched the kishin advance, her own eyes wide with fear. Tiny little Sakuya closed her eyes and waited for the thing to kill her but a blinding flash of light had her opening her eyes and then widening them as the kishin turned into a soul. Her eyes rose to that of her mother and a man she had never seen before. Even though the man was a weapon it was obvious that her mother had used Soul Purge. "Are you okay?!" Her mother asked with a fearful voice and it was then that the man leaned down to her level. She could tell at first sight that he was a really nice man with a cheerful expression, looking deeper she saw he had a concerned look in his eyes. Her mother noticed her perceptive glance instantly and introduced her weapon,"This is Deo and well...He already knows you Cherry!" She gave a little laugh at this and they all had to laugh at her cheerfulness. Sakuya had also told her mother that she had sensed the kishin and even though her mother listened there was an undercurrent of fear in her amber eyes.
Ever since then Sakuya practiced her Soul Perception. When her mom took her into town she would practice her Soul Perception and even though half of the time she couldn't sense anyone's souls she didn't give up and soon enough, two years later she'd mostly master her Soul Perception. When she was five in one fateful day she'd come to her parents one day and exclaimed,"I want to be a meister! Just like you!" They smiled at her the whole time but there was always that tell-tale fear in there eyes that even little Sakuya caught on. The look made Sakuya a little scared but like most three year olds she quickly forgot about it in favor with playing with her toys.
The next following years, as Sakuya grew older, nothing of interest happened to her. But when she turned seven her parents were suddenly called away to Shibusen and Sakuya was left with a baby sitter. It was a week later when they'd come back, choosing to collect Sakuya at mid-night. But something was wrong, when she saw their faces she had to release a squeal. There was fear on her parents faces, their faces were, almost litterally, as white as sheets and her mom's hands were shaking as she shepherded Sakuya out of the sitters house."But momma! What's wrong?! Mom!" Despite her frantic cries her parents chose not to answer, whatever they'd been called to Shibusen for must have scared them and secretly Sakuya resolved to find out the reason for why.
For the next few years nothing seemed to happen, at least until she turned twelve. That was when Sakuya's parents refused to let her go to Shibusen. Sakuya suffered in silence and rebelled in privacy. She refused to eat and she refused to do what anyone told her. Until it was getting clear that if something wasn't done than she would most definitely waste away. Her mother tried to talk to her but Sakuya only turned up her nose and glared at the wall. Next came her father who also tried to gently talk his way through the situation but Sakuya only shot him a look with those piercing eyes of hers that clearly said, Don't even mess with me. Sakuya started to grow weary of the silent treatments and was about to give in when her parents, at the end of the month finally relented with only one rule. That she wait until after she turned thirteen.
One night as Sakuya was sneaking back to her bedroom, having retrieved a midnight snack from the kitchen she over heard her parents in their bedroom whispering. Despite feeling a tad guilty for eavesdropping Sakuya crept closer and eased the door open so that thier words could carry more easily. Her heart dropped at their topic of choice. Her mother said,"Do you think she'll be okay? This is Shibusen after all! She'll be forced to fight for her life and the lives of others..." Her mother paused and tried to say something but shook her head, a sad attempt at getting out what all needed to be said. Her father smile more cheerfully and said with a bit more confidence,"I know she'll be forced to but this is Sakuya we're talking about. Even as a meister she'd have untapped potential and let's face it," He paused as well but only for dramatic effect,"She's just plain stubborn!" This startled a laugh out of her mother and silently her mother had to agree with him. Afterwards their conversation turned to more light hearted subjects but Sakuya stayed a while after to see if they would say anything else about her. When it was clear they wouldn't she silently stepped back from the door and snuck back to her room.
There was no more incident even as her thirteenth birthday grew closer and closer. As her birthday came closer and closer it only served to make Sakuya's excitement escalate and then finally the best day of her life came. She decided to celebrate the day with her family and leave for Shibusen the next morning because she wanted to be able to at least give her parents one more happy day before she left. After all even on her own birthday Sakuya could see the touches of fear in her mom's amber eyes and the touch of fear in her dad's ocean blue eyes. But Sakuya didn't relent and instead gave her parents a day to remember and then as her party ended she ran up to her room to quickly finish packing.
While her suitcase did have her clothes and pajamas already packed in there she had to get a couple of pictures of her parents and past friends. In went her books(it wouldn't be her if she didn't bring a book or two!) and dental stuff-i.e. toothbrush and toothpaste-. A teddy bear along with a cute stuffed black kitty cat that had a ribbon around its neck, they both went in and Sakuya peered into the suitcase wondering if anything else was missing. Determining that nothing was missing Sakuya went to bed. Well she tried to go to bed anyway, excitement kept her up for most of the night and when her mind finally shut off and gave her a few hours reprieve there were no dreams.
As the morning came her father shook her awake. "My Cherry Blossom is finally going to Shibusen..." Her father didn't look fearful anymore just resigned. Nor did her mother either she found, she only looked concerned and she asked with a small voice,"Are you sure about this Sakuya?" Sakuya gave a shy smile realizing with surprise that her mother used her real name, her mom usually called her by her nickname. "As ready as I'll ever be." And that was the last thing said and she was off for Shibusen.

Rp sample: Resigned Sakuya continued further into town only realizing with a vague curiosity that the town was strangely deserted. There was no one around. It was like a ghost town and Sakuya had the vague feeling of icy tendrils crawling down her back. Drawing her white sweater tighter around her she already knew it was useless. It was madness to have even thought of wearing a dress and sweater out in this freezing weather, the sweater did nothing to warm her and her legs tingled with the icy cold. Finally she decided it couldn't hurt to call out,"Hello? Is-Is anyone there?"
There was no answer but for moment there Sakuya swore she saw a shadow. Drawing back sharply she could almost hear the sarcastic laugh of the always laughing moon from up above. Shaking off the thought Sakuya looked into the surrounding shadows looking for...She didn't know what! For all she knew it could have been her imagination playing tricks on her. Or, her mind teased, It could have been a Kishin. Sakuya scoffed at the thought but shudders of fear snaked through her nonetheless.
Finally her mind settled into a crystal clear calmness and she knew what to do. Brushing a stray silver(almost white) strand of hair out of her eyes and then whispered into the silent night,"Soul Perception." Her line of sight instantly heightened beyond even normal eye sight. Sakuya could feel the souls of people in bed like she should have been. Then, just beyond the shadows she sensed an abnormal soul, yes it was indeed a Kishin she sensed in that instant and it was coming straight for her. Stepping backward carefully she winced in dismay as her foot struck a can of soda. A growl rippled through the air just then and just before she could figure out what that meant something leaped out of the shadows and lunged at her.
Her body knew what to do even as her mind was trying to catch up with this sudden turn of events. Ducking and rolling to the side she watched as the shadowed beast lunged past her and flew into an alley way. Not quite thinking at this point Sakuya followed the kishin. Don't get her wrong, she knew that she didn't have a weapon and would most likely get killed in the process but something about the kishin prompted her to follow it. Even as she did so however the shadows around her grew increasingly darker and darker. Now her eye sight was growing mostly blurry and she couldn't help but follow it mostly blind. Her Soul Perception was still in use so she mostly followed it because of that, as at the moment she couldn't see it.
Then came the feeling that the kishin was above her and she could see its evil soul in her minds eye, wavering above her. As Sakuya looked up she thought the kishin had climbed over the top of a building and stumbled onto the roof. "Up there huh?" Sakuya mumbled. Looking for a way to reach the top of the building a grin swept onto her lips as she spied a ladder just a hands breadth to the left of her. Climbing the rusted metal ladder she quickly ascended to the top and when she did the kishin was there, as if it had been waiting for her. When Sakuya climbed onto the roof she noticed that it was easy to see the kishin because of the sarcastic moon's light. How ever when her eyes fell on the kishin she held her hands to her mouth in complete horror.
It wasn't just a kishin. It was some sort of unrecognizable beast. It looked as if the body had decomposed and as she looked closer she had to try hard not to puke because maggots were crawling out of various wounds on its body. Whatever fur it had left was hanging off it in clomps and her hands shook slightly as the beast gave a low and gutteral growl.
As the beast lunged to take a chunk out of her leg she barely had enough time to fall to the side. As Sakuya got up from her crouching position the beast made for a lunge again and this time she nimbly stepped to the side and the kishin skidded to a stop just behind her. Whipping around she was startled as the kishin suddenly stopped a foot away from her. As the kishin started to lunge for her neck she stumbled back and gasped in surprise as she tripped over her own feet and went crashing to the ground. As the kishin went in for the kill Sakuya kept her eyes opened and watched her incoming death bravely, determining that she would at least be brave and face death like a true warrior would.
But, her death never came. Because as the beast came close something suddenly slashed at the beast from behind and the kishin disappeared in a puff of shadows. When the shadow's cleared a red soul floated there, no longer harmful. Especially when the person behind it took the soul and gobbled it down.
The person, a boy, looked at her and grinned,"You're lucky that I happened to be here!"
Frowning she glanced at the boy for a minute hoping he would give her a hand to help her up. When he didn't she sighed and stood up, waving her hand down the front and back side of her dress to shake off the dirt she might have accumulated in that scuffle. Now looking to the boy she could clearly see that he was a weapon and a quite arrogant one at that, from his words and his soul. She just realized she still had her Soul Perception in effect. With an exhaled breath Sakuya allowed her Soul Perception to release before she answered the boy.
"Yeah, I-I guess I was." This whole situation was so weird that she didn't have the chance to revert to her usual shy self. Rather abrubtly she said,"Who are you?!"
The boy looked at her with an arched eyebrow, it was unclear whether or not he heard her and as he walked close to the edge of a building Sakuya was starting to think he never would answer when at last he did,"My name isn't so important." Sakuya couldn't get out anything else because the boy then turned and walked to the edge of the building where Sakuya had just come from. Sakuya turned to look at him and when she did he waved and then jumped off.
Sakuya gave a little squeak and ran to the edge but there was no dead body or anything because the boy had disappeared. Sakuya pursed her lips and looked up the mad moon up above, this was only her first night in Shibusen and things were already starting to get interesting.
