The strange beast was awful soft! At least, its face was. And whether it liked it or not, this strange creature was having its face squished and good. Annie seemed to enjoyed doing this, and kept on doing this, her nose even making contact with the wet nose of the beast. It was wet! Like Fluffy's! Awwwww! Wet noses were so cute! Sometimes Annie wished her nose could be wet and cute like a puppies! It was also so adorable to feel! Suddenly a strange and odd feeling arose in the little figure of Annie. She wanted one! Sure, it was ugly but it had such a silly laugh! And its wet nose was so wet. And if things went wrong, Fluffy would make a quick snack of it. The girl released the beast and her eyes began to roam over the ferocious pack but then words seem to drift to the young girl. There were so many to chose from! Annie could have her pick of the litter! Even this little wet-nosed puppy if she desired as much. Of course, Zuri might stop her but what was there in her compared to Annie. But the more she thought about it and the closer she gave a look towards the little canine, the more she remembered just how uncute it was and the desire to keep it seemed to just float away.
Then, just then, as the other woman spoke to the little girl, Annie's face revealed yet another grin, bright and cheerful and perhaps full of too many teeth. The girl mentioned biting and she looked back to the little hyena she once had in her grips and the girl showed that same grin with a bit of a manic, yet playful energy. "Rwwwarrrrrr" said she with the exuberant tone of youthful enthusiasm. And she did it once more with a bit of happiness still pouring from her voice and she gnashed her teeth at the dog, though never even coming close to its skin or fur. The girl, for some reason, wanted the little dogs to get excite about killing and she went Rwarrrrr once more to them. And that was when the words of the girl speaking of her own magic came floating by her. Perhaps it was her own memory that recalled them or the wind which brought them to her attention once more. "Rwar? RWARRRR!!!! Laugh? Shriek? OOO!!!! Suffocate! Annie always want to learn that!" and she had. It was one of the moves she had desired to learn for so long. To draw the wind out of another's lungs so they suffocate and collapse on whomever she wished it to. It seemed like a useful technique. Probably something she saw in a movie somewhere, Annie did loved movies! When she could see them that is.
And as her thoughts grew idly on in the world, the other began to scrunch up her in a thinking mode, and naturally, Annie did the same just to imitate her. For the novelty of the meeting was growing dim at the moment and something desperately needed to be done about this point. Nothing came to her mind. Not a single thing. Well. Killing the witch and the hyenas did cross her mind but Tombstone wouldn't have been happy about that. Not that Annie feared Tombstone, Tomby was her big sister! She didn't want to disappoint. Then the witch next to her began to speak and her own face effectively unraveled from the scrunched position and gleamed a big and bright smile towards her. "Village? VILLAGE GO BOOM!? Annie want BOOM!" the girl showed with the utmost excitement and when she spoke, the girl did have a slight bit of a demanding tone about her words. Then the little girl raised her hand as if she were a student in the classroom and fairly hopped up and down. "OO! OO! Annie show her magic too! Annie make BIG wind and village go BOOM!!!! Wind go rwwwaaarrrr over village!!" The girl exuberantly bragged. The boredom had been effectively erased, to say the least. Now there was going to be some fun. FINALLY! It was time to play!

Zuri smiled at the young witch’s antics. She couldn’t blame her for being so fascinated with the hyenas; she doubted that Annie had ever seen anything like them anywhere else in the world. The pack seemed to draw out a ferocious quality in her. Zuri found this endless amusing, and watched with her hands on her hips as Annie began to growl and gnash her teeth. Asha tilted her head and Zuberi wagged his tail. Neither were quite sure what was happening, but if their alpha wasn’t doing anything to stop such shenanigans, then they saw no reason to be upset.
Hearing the girls wish to learn to suffocate people, an entirely sadistic grin broke out over Zuri’s face. Suffocation would be a fun spell, she would imagine. The closest spell that she had in her arsenal was one for inducing hysterical laughter until the person literally laughed themselves to death. How she did love that one. Perhaps she would show it to Annie. Something told the hyena witch that her junior would likely get a kick out of such a sight. It was always interesting to watch. How a look of joy could turn to one of sheer terror in an instant was endlessly entertaining, particularly when the victims of the spell began to claw at their throats in desperation. It was as if they thought that by tearing open their neck, they would somehow be able to breathe. Foolish humans.
If anything, Zuri’s grin only grew when Annie got all excited over destroying a village. Oh, this would be fun, without a doubt. Zuberi drew closer to Zuri and pawed at the ground directly next to her feet and whined. Clearly he thought rending limbs and inducing paralyzing fear was a wondrous idea. Asha merely tilted her head from side to side, ears turned back slightly. She still wasn’t all that sure of what to do. Grinning from ear to ear, Zuri cackled. The rest of the pack echoed her voice with their own chorus of giggles and howls,
“Well, Annie dear, there’s not a moment to waste! Where we’re going is due West of here perhaps thirty miles. You’ll spy it by the smoke rising from the huts.”
Waving a hand to the West of where they were, Zuri smiled. Lowering her voice, Zuri howled and the pack was suddenly nowhere near as disorganized. No, they all gathered around to her side, ready and waiting to start the massacre. Zuberi yipped and jumped excitedly about next to her while Asha actually stayed closer to Annie. It appeared she’d taken a liking to the younger witch.

One and two and three and four. And that's just about how much she wanted to count, it was not entertaining to count more. The hyenas, just like the ones right next to her, were just too many and it was a chore to count any of them. There were just a lot. That was the new number to describe this specific amount of hyenas. A lot. There could be more than a lot or less than a lot but right now there was just the right number of them to be a lot. Annie was sure of this. The blue garbed girl thought quietly to herself upon how a cute little hyena might make an interesting addition to her pets, but it didn't seem like it would be possible at this moment and so Annie discarded this, besides, they really weren't the cutest, despite having that little cute wet nose like all puppies do. THEY WERE STILL PUPPIES! That was her story and she was sticking to it. Yup. All the puppies are cute, even if they kind of are malformed. And the two leaders, sans the witch, seemed only too eager to rend their victims limb from limb, only too eager indeed! It would be fun! But now Annie was thinking of spells to show off. There was the spell that allowed wind to bow to her beckon call or tornadoes, those whirly twirly fun twisters were always glorious to see. Or...well...there weren't many other spells she knew. None that came to mind at least. But, wait, no! Something DID come to mind and Annie jumped giddily right near those hyena puppies and danced in a cheerful little spin and exclaimed her declaration at the top of her lungs. "ANNIE MAKE NEW SPELL! ANNIE KNOW NEW SPELL!" declared the little witch as she ran up to much taller Zuri. Actually, she was much, much taller than Annie. She was a GIANT! So tall! Annie HAD to climb her! Yup. She could practice her new spell from a thousand feet in the air on her shoulders! Height perception? There was nothing of the kind here.
"Annie climb giant woman? Annie want to climb! Annie climb on giant witchy, yes?" asked the inquiring mind, though there was no much chance for a rebuttal or refusal for Annie had already placed her tiny little hand upon her and her feet upon her leg. Could she just summon the wind to place herself perfectly square upon her shoulders? Of course! But that was no challenge, this would be a challenge! And, besides, it would also be fun! Annie continued to make her way up to the top and eventually reached the peak, and put one of her legs on each side of her head. "ANNIE DID IT! ANNIE MAKE THE TOP! Annie the best ever, witchy know?" jubilantly stated the blue jay with a smile so broad it almost was too adorable to even look at. And with that same smile, Annie posed a question to the other woman. "Zuzu witchy want see Annie new spell? It make all brrrrrr of people! Annie say it do!" declared her once more, and she shivered on top of the witch over-exaggeratedly as she repeated the sound of cold from her lips. It was such a cute and perfect time. The Savannah was far from pleasant to her, anyways, and Annie had just come up with this new spell. Making an area into an arctic paradise seemed fun and deadly and fun! All would be crying for Annie to stop. It was just absolutely perfect! And the cute little hyenas had followed closer to Zuri with Annie on top of her. Awww, that poor little thing, it must be all lonely. Annie would very nearly fly off the mountain top from which her vast achievement had placed her, and float down to where the little hyena stood seeming so sad.
But, that was when Zuri cackled. The rest followed in suit and Annie would imitate them in the precise manner as the others. It was perfect, of course. Perfectly mimicked and perfect in every way. That was Annie for you. It was then that hyena witch would talk all about the village they would slaughter. Annie giggled again, though only in her own adorable little voice, forgetting to copy the hyenas that time. "Smoke mean fire! FIRE MAKE SMOKE! Fire keep warm! ANNIE MAKE THEM FREEZE!" shouted Annie happily and once more she ran over to Zuri and tugged on the hem of her garments. "WITCHY WATCH! Annie show! Annie make all cold! Birdie Blue! Birdie Blue! BLUE JAY!" Declared the blue jay, performing her patented hand gestures, including the loop towards her and the thrusting of her palms out, all fingers curled in save her thumb and forefinger so that they made the "L" shape. Something did occur, slightly. In front of her so that neither the witches nor the puppies, including Fluffy, would be hurt. However, the something that happened certainly wasn't anything spectacular. Wind picked up, of course, she was the wind witch, but all it did was loop around slightly and die. BLEH! Annie stomped her foot down into the earth with a vengeance. How dare it not work? Did the wind forget its master?! Disgusting. And the youngest Laveau turned to Zuri like a child throwing temper tantrum. "MAGIC BAD! It not work for Annie!" pouted Annie in a fury. However, despite that not working, her mastery over the wind still had some power and Annie's broom, still resting on Fluffy's back, rose and flew right to her and the silver-haired girl just plopped down upon it. The girl's spirits brightened up considerably with being reunited with her broom, how the girl HATED to walk. She just hovered slightly over the ground and looked upwards towards the woman. "WE GO NOW?! Annie want kill! Annie like hearing screams! Annie thinks it pretty sound. We go now? Pretty please? Please? ANNIE WANT GO NOW!" shouted the girl, growing more impatient with each passing second and who had already begun doing weird, yet fun, tricks in the air with her broomstick in order to pass the time before they actually moved.

Zuri bit one of her knuckles and giggled. Zuberi was looking up at her expectantly, one ear cocked to the side to listen to Annie. Speaking of the young witch, her enthusiasm seemed to be contagious. It wasn’t that Zuri herself wasn’t excited about the upcoming slaughter; on the contrary she was positively giddy. It was just encouraging to see one of her kind so young to already possess such a beautifully terrifying ferocity towards others. This would be so much fun! Watching Annie spin around proclaiming she had a new spell to try, the witch of laughter grinned and raised an eyebrow,
“Do you now? I can’t wait to see it, Annie dear.”
The younger witch’s magic intrigued Zuri. Wind had a great deal of influence over sound after all, and her won spells were all based on her voice. As Annie grew older and more powerful, she wondered if she could convince her junior to amplify her powers. But that was a conversation for another time. At that moment Annie ran up to Zuri and seemed determined to climb her. A curious goal, but Zuri tolerated it nonetheless. The y could get going as soon as she was done. The Kenyan woman was very tall after all, far taller than Annie certainly. Zuri watched with mild interest as the child latched onto her leg and tried to climb. Any other child would have been dead ten times over by then, but Annie was a witch child, and one that rather reminded Zuri of herself when she was young despite how very long ago that had been.
Annie seemed overjoyed when she finally made it to Zuri’s shoulders. Asha seemed rather worried about the young witch, wandering to Zuri side and whining. The hyena leaned back on her haunches and batted her paws at the giggling witch’s hips but Zuri told her to hush. Zuri then decided it best to answer Annie’s question before a temper tantrum was had,
“I’d simply be overjoyed to see your new spell, Annie dear.”
The young witch seemed to tire of resting upon Zuri’s shoulders and hopped down. She wondered briefly how exactly she seemed to be able to copy the cackling of her clan which such precise vocalizations, but that was a thought she could entertain later. For now she turned to keep and eye on Annie as she tried out her new spell. The girl tugged at her skirt, Zuri supposed to be sure she was watching, before reciting her chant. Zuri felt more than saw the wind pick up and bluster a bit more than it had been. She rubbed her arms feeling a slight chill but that was all. Judging by the tantrum Annie was now throwing, Zuri suspected that the spell hadn’t gone the way Annie wanted it to. The Kenyan woman chuckled softly and shook her head at the sight,
”There, there, calm down. Spells take practice, Annie dear, and you’ll have the perfect opportunity to practice on those territorial idiots in the village.”
A bit hypocritical of Zuri to say, really, considering she was ridiculously territorial. It was the whole reason the village would perish in the first place after all, they were wandering a little too close to her clan at times. She’d already had to kill three people for coming after Zuberi. How dare they try to hurt one of her brothers! It seemed Annie was ready to get a move on, finally, so Zuri giggled madly. Zuberi and Asha flanked her sides, knowing it was time to go,
“Well, Annie dear, let us make our way through the Savannah then!”
With that, Zuri took off running in the direction of the village. Annie had her broom; she’d seen her on it. At least Zuri wouldn’t have to carry her, that would have been troublesome after all. The village wasn’t far considering the smoke could be seen rising form the huts. No, it really wouldn’t take long to reach at all. She could just barely see the outlines of grass rooftops even as she ran. Zuberi pranced along beside her, tongue hanging out of his mouth and giggling like a fool. Asha was more refined and had her ears flattened against her head as she sprinted alongside her alpha, growling at nothing in particular save for the thought that she would eat soon. Zuri was fast and always had been when it came to running, the outskirts of the village were visible, and she slowed down to a jog and eventually to a walk, giggling already in anticipation. Oh the fun that would be had.

That dumb magic still had the little witch in a brooding sort of way and mood even as she tried to forget it without aerial acrobatics. What went wrong? The magic had always done what she said when she said it. Something must have went horribly wrong for that to have happened. And it was an annoyance of proportions that Annie couldn't even begin to fathom. BAH! She would have the spell soon. There was nothing Annie Laveau couldn't do! Even if it meant breaking the wind to her power once more and retraining it through various amounts of torture and hardships...for the wind. A thought of the wind bleeding at the furious ferocity that was her anger seemed to amuse her a bit more than mildly as the girl cracked a grin too bright to even be noted for it's terrible nature that conceived it. In fact, though it was menacing in her mind, it was absolutely adorable to look at. But, that was Annie for you. Even the cruelest and most deceptively demonic thought that could be imagined could be turned into something utterly adorable when you look at her. Until she made the thought a reality, at least.
Annie's eyes now roamed downwards at the voice of the other witch who once more had caught her attention. Big words were used and the blue jay looked towards the woman with a tilt of her head. It seemed more than a bit confusion pursued the girl's mind when she spoke. Especially this one word "territorial" whatever that meant. The young witch attempted more than a few times to sound it out, it seemed to take a good bit of her mind off the stupid wind and distracted her quite well. After a few seconds, the girl lost interest in trying to pronounce it properly. Her red tongue had found itself all too tied up when making its various attempts, all which failed.
"What teri....teraitial?"
The small child gave in a confused way as a question. However, the question had already lost its interest for her. It seemed that the only satisfaction she required was actually hearing herself say the word. Despite it being spoken in SUCH an improper way, Annie seemed satisfied with the way it was spoken. Indeed. She almost felt proud of herself. It was PERFECT! Just like her. And whatever she did was absolutely perfect in every way. Besides, Annie felt that the other portion of her speech was much more important now, anyways. That is, perfecting the wind spell which had been recently conceived not more than a few moments ago. And failed. Which began to boil her blood once more. If one could listen closely, they might even detect a growl worthy of any canine echoing from the depths of her throat.
However, onward they had to press according to the other silly witchy of the puppies. The little witch of blue had already since mounted her broom in order to try and forget her depression of failing with the spell. And....RUN! That's exactly what happened as the older witch began on a race towards the village. OH! It WAS a race! And was the other witchy fast! And the puppies kept up! Well...they sort of did. The blue jay just sat on her broom in awe and watched as they sped off with a quickness that she could never even dream of matching on foot. What? And get her clothing dirty or her shoes ruined? NEVER! There was a beauty about traveling within the currents of the air and not having to ruin the most adorable clothes ever created (if only because Annie herself wore them) was certainly one of them. Finally, the girl snapped out of the awe, they had already had too much of a head start. The girl cracked a grin and leaned forward on her broom and ZOOM! Off she went speeding by the puppies and catching up with the witch herself. After all, traveling by air is faster than by land...and when you have a witch who controls the wind as your opponent, races are most often lost to said opponent.
"RACE! Witchy puppy race Annie? Witchy puppy looosssseeeee! Annie NEVER lose! Annie win ALWAYS race!"
And the girl giggled, waiting to see what the other woman would do or say, a smile still plastered from cheek to cheek. And...once more....ZOOM! The girl sped up, wind pushing her faster then she could go by herself. In fact, the witch was going so fast, it was a forceful stop the young girl had to make on herself. Fluffy had stopped with a sort of grace, having expected to stop soon. Despite being a diabolical beast of evil, he was a very sensible sort when it came to such things. Annie looked around and saw no one. It was a bit dark and the smell of smoke lingered upon the air. However, even now it seemed to be a bit warm for her. Time to try the spell again. But not towards the village. That wouldn't do at all. So, the girl turned her back to the village of the enemy and chanted once more with the signature hand motions, hoping that this would increase her already substantial hold upon the wind.
"Birdie Blue! Birdie Blue! Blue Jay!"
The wind did pick up and a bit more than usual and there even was a small chill in the air from the spell, however. It seemed to die down a few seconds later. The spell was SUPPOSED to drop the temperature to freezing, not make a small breeze so weak it couldn't even make someone sneeze! Stupid spell! Stupid, stupid spell, thought Annie.
"ANNIE SAY BAD SPELL! Annie want to make COLD! Not wssshhhhhhhhh! COLD! Brrrr! WHY YOU NOT WORK, WIND?! ANNIE WANT COLD!!!!!"
In fact, the little girl hadn't even been paying attention to whether or not the other woman had caught up to her. Too wrapped up in her own little world was she that all the other thoughts had gone out of her mind. Including the thought that this was SUPPOSED to be a surprise attack in order to slaughter all the people. Of course, Annie COULD make tornadoes so mass-slaughter usually wasn't so much a problem for her. The little Laveau wasn't paying attention at all, nor controlling her tone of voice. This was INFURIATING! It should work, all wind was her toy! The girl huffed and puffed and kicked at and stomped the ground again in anger and plain upsetness.

Zuri found that the journey towards the village resulted in an adrenaline rush almost as powerful as the one that would occur once she and Annie began wreaking havoc on the unsuspecting people. The dry savannah grass beneath her feet, the wind blowing the through her hair, and her beloved hyenas bounding alongside her was truly one of her favorite feelings. The younger of the two witches soon caught up to her, but she had expected that. If it was a race Annie wanted, it was a race she would get although she did have a tad bit of an unfair advantage, not that Zuri minded. It was the running that interested her, not winning. There was already a victory to be had at the village that was designated for destruction.
High pitched giggled passed through the witch’s lip as a grin broke out on her face. If she was already enjoying herself this much she would be in stitches by the time they actually reached the village, not that it was all that far. With Annie rushing on ahead, she was sure to not only win the impromptu race but also reach the outskirts before Zuri. She didn’t mind. Zuberi saw the young witch race by in a blur of blue and yipped loping along slightly ahead of Zuri trying to chase after Annie. Up ahead, she could hear Annie chant a spell before feeling the wind pick up. As she slowly reached the younger witch, Zuri again rubbed her arms as a slight chill went through her. She suspected that Annie had attempted her new spell again. Judging by how the aforementioned witch was kicking up dust and stomping along the dry savannah ground that she had failed once again.
Zuri snickered. She really didn’t see what all the fuss was about, any new spell took practice. Then again she herself was all too guilty of throwing similar tantrums whenever things didn’t quite go her way so she really was in no place to criticize her young counterpart. Raising her gaze to the horizon, huts and thin lines of smoke were clearly visible and easily within reach. It would be best not to linger otherwise someone was bound to notice them before the witches even got close, and it wouldn’t do any good for people to run. Granted that chasing down her prey could be fun every so often, but Zuri was more in the mood to rend and tear, not to track and then corner. Looking to the frustrated young witch, Zuri grinned,
”Perhaps you only need a target for your new spell. If that’s the case, then I’m sure putting it to good use on the villagers would cause it to work just fine.”
Zuri of course had no idea with that would really help or not, she just wanted to get the slaughter started. She was highly impatient and with her prey so close, she was finding it very difficult to remain still and in place. Assuming Annie would follow her, she slowly began walking at a leisurely pace towards the village. Asha and Zuberi slunk along on either side of her and the rest of the hyenas fell in behind her. They knew what was about to take place as they growled and bowed their heads, eyes searching for their first targets. They, like their alpha, simply couldn’t wait to begin the slaughter.

Of all the petulant, irritable, peevish, evil, bratty, stupid things to happen. The magic didn't work AGAIN! Sure, it was a BIT colder, but that didn't matter at all to the little blue jay. It might as well not have done anything. From the scene that the girl was causing, it might have been the same as if she had lost the ability to control magic altogether, or the wind just decided to take a small vacation and leave her high and dry. Oh, it was all too clear that this little girl was not in a very happy mood. Nothing said no to Annie, not even diabolical forces of nature that controlled the little witch's very life as she controlled it. The little girl did everything she knew that might be destructive or obnoxious in behavior to show just how upset she truly was with her charge. Misbehaving as it did was not proper behavior for something that Annie owned and the wind was just that to her. A possession and if it were capable of being injured in any way, Annie would have found that out and done so by now. It wasn't doing any good, going on about like this and the little girl didn't care for the moment.
At least, not until a soft voice appeared out of nowhere and snapped the young witch out of her tantrum almost instantly, everything had been forgotten for the moment, the rage and fury vanished in an instant and once more a bright smile spread cheek to cheek. The spell was still in her head and it would be used again soon enough. Just then, the blue jay remembered her place a bit more and consequently remembered that this was a game of quiet, one that Annie never ever won for good reason, but less of a finger and more her entire hand went to the childish lips and hushed herself with a quiet giggle, fumbling about rather immaturely in front of the pink lips surrounded by a quickly fading crimson upon her face from the dismissed tantrum.
"Annie remember!" whispered the girl softly. "ANNIE MAKE BOOM! Annie make all BOOM! And then Annie Brrrrrr"
The girl rubbed her bare upper arms in a symbolic gesture, her nose scrunched up slightly to make it more realistic. The tempo of the girl's voice raised from the original whisper, though it did not yell entirely as some measure of control was exercised in this instance. The woman slowly began to move forward and Annie followed along side of her as they walked towards their newest prey, Fluffy following in-step. Then a curious question was raised within the little girl's mind as she looked to the woman, so tall and looming over the girl and the pathetic excuse of a village below, perhaps it was asked before, but the witch with the over sized hat was far from innocent when it came to retaining any knowledge, notorious for asking questions a few times over and still not remembering, as she threw an accusing finger up towards her with a giggle springing forth from her lips with a child's innocence. There was something in the back of her mind that swore it had to do with sound, but Annie lived for explosions and pretty lights as well as sweets and shinies.
"Puppy witchy make boom with Annie! Puppy witchy make boom too?"
The girl just smiled brightly up in the direction of her older and significantly taller comrade, expecting an answer that would fit the girl's views on the type of magic that a witch who commanded puppies should control. Devastating, destructing, and awe-inspiring pyro-technics were in sure order and they always made such a lovely display! Annie's powers were not suited to make large explosions, sadly, but they certainly caused them often enough in a civilized setting which turned chaotic at the drop of a hat. Not her hat, of course. Nothing would EVER hurt her hat and live to tell the tale. It was too pretty and dust and dirt always steered well clear of the prized possession of the blue jay girl. If it knew what was best for it, that is. However, almost everyone and everything never really thought too much of the possibilities of the small girl when deciding if it was a good idea to anger her, unless they actually knew her. Annie waited for a second or two more before growing impatient, not that she had waited very long at all in the first place, but harnessing the power the girl jumped up with aid and landed upon the tall witch's shoulders as if she were the newest steed in her collection. She giggled and smirked and decided with a new found resolve that the spell would work now and it would be best to try it.
"OOO! OOO! ANNIE DO NEW SPELL! BIRDIE BLUE! BIRDIE BLUE! BLUE JAY!"
Declared the witch as she did the hand movements and the whole show as the spell picked up once more and the girl summoned all the powers of the four winds, or whatever winds were closest to her at the time, and once more they danced in their invisible, whirly-twirly type dance. The air temperature dropped a good deal this time, a noticeable chill dampened the dry savannah air and yet, it wasn't enough for the girl as it refused to drop to the point where if it rained at this very moment, it would freeze instantly. A great big pout spread and blanketed the once jubilant smile as she squirmed around a bit on the woman's shoulders. It was an enormous degree of self control on her part for the moment, for most of the time a puncturing heel would have found its place inside the jugular of the person she was sitting upon. However, the memory stirred of the true purpose.
Those sapphire eyes cast their glow now upon the village down which drew closer and may be feeling the fading effects of her failed spell attempt. Well, sadly for them, that was not the true nature of her power. A billion and one different ways to control the air around them flashed into her head. It was tempting to just summon all her powers into one great big, super tornado, but that wouldn't be any fun for the other woman. So, perhaps a small tornado to start with. Just a bitty baby one. And an almost musical, but certainly nearly demented giggle formed upon her breath.
"OOO! OOO! ANNIE KNOW! ANNIE KNOW! BLUE JAY!"
The girl shouted loudly as she threw her hands out and as predicted, a small tornado began to form, just the most minor of the destructive winds at her command, but for a village of nothing, but wood and no true weapons, it would prove a great enemy. It formed close to the outskirts of the village up ahead, that it really hadn't been doing too much damage immediately, but it certainly did give their presence away. The little bird had no use for tact at this age, however.

Boom? What in the world was the young witch talking about? To Zuri’s knowledge, Annie didn’t possess the power to create anything like a boom. She herself certainly had nothing to do with explosions unless you counted the occasional popped eardrum, but that was beside the point. The aforementioned temperature change would hopefully be successful for Annie this time around. Zuri assumed that should she become more frustrated, the young witch may go a little stir crazy and go a little overboard with her winds before the fun even got started.
Chuckling at her enthusiasm, she unfortunately had to shake her head at Annie’s question,
“No, Annie dear, it is unfortunate but I cannot make the village go boom.”
A smirk worked its way onto the tall witch’s face as her eyes drifted to the small huts only a few hundred feet away,
“I can, however, make them scream.”
Oh yes, she’d have them screaming alright. Zuri was a legend of the Savannah, after all. If the hyenas didn’t send people into a panic, the sight of the laughing witch would strike fear in them for sure. Still, it always was fun to have an extra hand. With Annie’s added wind power, the slaughter would be all the more fun to enjoy. The young witch’s laughter did have a delightfully deliriums quality all its own, after all. Maybe she could strike up some fear of her own in the mad mix. The dropping temperature drove that point home quiet nicely as Zuri shivered and rubbed her arms. She was glad Annie was getting the hang of her magic but she still preferred it much hotter.
With the formerly mentioned kid witch then perching her self upon Zuri’s shoulders, the fun would soon begin. She didn’t mind Annie’s presence; she weighted hardly anything after all. She also seemed to keep her balance perfectly fine so she didn’t have to go to the trouble of securing the child witch’s legs to keep her from tumbling to the ground. Hearing her begin to chant her signature incantation, Zuri watched the winds bend to Annie’s will. Asha cocked an ear to the side as the wind flew past them. Zuberi merely yipped and made to follow after it only to halt after a few steps and glance back at the two witches, seemingly wanting only to charge forward if they were beside him.
Smiling at the antics of her beloved familiars, Zuri thought it high time that the slaughter begin. Turning her head, she looked at Annie and gave her a toothy grin,
“Cover your ears, Annie dear, I’d hate for you to get caught in the crossfire.”
Making no hurry to get to the village, Zuri let out a low howl. The hyenas answered with their own howls and giggles of approval before charging towards the huts. They knew their job well by now. The spotted beasts snapped at ankles and growled to chase any villagers in hiding out into the open. The screams started soon enough, and as Zuri drew closer with Annie on her shoulders, she decided to up the terror level a few notches. Giddy smile present on her face, the witch chanted her own spell,
“Hy-ena, hy-ena, hy-ena howl.”
The witch again let out a low, eerie howl that echoed through the village. Anyone within earshot suddenly stopped in their tracks, the magic taking hold of their minds and paralyzing them with fear. The witch giggled, finding much amusement in the terror int heir eyes as the hyenas circled hungrily. Zuri stopped and stood amongst the scared people before nodded her head,
“Your turn again, Annie dear.”

Oh, dear, oh my! What fun this was indeed. Words would be lost in such a way to find a proper path to explaining the elation the small child witch found in her soul. Almost like rolling down a grassy hill to plop right down in a big pile of sugary, teeth-rotting goodness. That's how it always felt when the life of another was snuffed out in such a horrific way to Annie. And the screams of terror and anguish just heightened her joy. As Zuri declared her ability to make them scream as well, though apparently in her own way, that just extended the sassily sweet grin upon the skinny, evil little cherub's sweet face. Little feet moved back and forth as they Zuri's arms harmlessly, yet with an excitement, as small hands smacked each other with a giddy glee awaiting for the slaughter to be furthered. The bird witch chirped in a giggle fit as hyenas slaughtered and devoured those already dead, buildings being ruined by the tornado that ran a muck with no regards for life nor limb. And Fluffy certainly enjoyed himself greater than any.
"YAY! PUPPYWITCHYMAKEALLRAWRGRRRAHHHHHHHHHHHHCRYTRYLIEDIE!"
Shouted the gleeful child in anticipation, cerulean gems passing between the giant woman and the insect like creatures and structures which begged with every fiber of their beings to be snuffed out from this Earth. Without even thinking of doing what she was told, fingers were placed inside her ears, instead of covering them with her palms. It was quiet and depressing for the sounds of death did not feel the air. There was something that crawled up her skin and caused a cold shiver, though. It was more a sort of vibration instead of a cold chill down her spine and though not a sound was heard by her little ears, something was wrong with the bad people, for they were seriously in pain. It could almost bring a tear to the girl's eye from how beautiful it was, but there was no time for that! Annie's turn. This time would work for certain and Annie was going to dominate this ability for certain.
Atop her seated perch, once more the glorious chant of blue bird victory was given, hand signals and all, thrust out forward as the wind shifted in her favor. Annie didn't lower her hands and concentrated harder as the area in front of her began to lower in temperature almost immediately this time. It was certainly about time something was working and it seemed that the wind found a new sense of fear in the camaraderie between the puppy witch and the blue jay witch. Celsius, Fahrenheit, Kelvin, whatever temperature these people used, it was plummeting.
Then a growl happened, soon followed by a snap and breaking of wood, as well as the concentration of the Annie witch sitting upon the shoulders of the Zuri witch. The little girl leaned backwards to see what it was, her neck bent back almost completely, and spied a group of warriors armed to the teeth (comparatively) with spears, bows, and arrows. Fluffy had saved them for these savages!
Annie fell back completely, doing a sort of flip and landing softly on both feet, all due to the aid of the wind mastery, and turned on heel to face the attackers. This time, it was a volley of arrows that sent its way towards the duo.
"BLUE JAY!"
The girl responded with as she threw out her arm in a slicing sort of motion which in turn crafted a large shield like burst of wind which stopped the arrows and pushed back towards the warriors, striking them back to the earth. Laughter rang through the air with a tone of a child's happiness, while she merrily, chipperly chirped and wrapped slender arms around the white puppy in biggest hug ever.
"Fluffy is GOOD PUPPY! FLUFFY BEST PUPPY! PUPPY WITCH THINK FLUFFY GOOD PUPPY?! PUPPY GO WITH PUPPIES TO EAT BADDIESPEOPLE?!"
Queried Annie as she looked up to the dark-skinned witch anxiously with a vibrant smile. This was such a proud moment for Fluffy and Annie's bond. Of course, every single moment was the same for them, Annie was always proud of Fluffy for one thing or another. The dog could do no wrong in her mind, though for very good reason. It was the perfect dog for a mentally unstable little girl who just happens to be a witch and that little face was buried in white fur deeply as it was snuggled.
