Lior was lost again, plain and simple. It seemed to happen almost each and every time the albino girl wandered out of her home, but this was likely due her to having no sense of direction whatsoever. Add that to her complete lack of mastery of the ordinary and she was essentially inept at finding her way back home. Much to her own surprise, she wasn’t bothered by this fact. She wasn’t sure if it was a sign that she was beginning to grow used to the city or that the sun was perhaps too strong for her, but Lior wasn’t nearly as anxious as the last time she’d gotten lost. Then again now if she was lost she had the sense to call Abigail or Rhett and either ask them for directions or beg them to come find her. The latter was more likely given the girl’s tendency to become overwhelmed at the drop of a hat. Death City was quite a change from Chicago. The buildings weren’t nearly as tall or close together, at least not from Lior’s point of view. It was far less intimidating and she almost felt comfortable save for all the people she had to pass in the streets. She still couldn’t shake the feeling of eyes on her, people staring at her and likely thinking why an oddity like her would be allowed outside. This feeling was what made Lior hunch her shoulders and walk a bit faster, avoiding eye contact at all costs as she tried not to bump into anybody in the busy shopping district. Why she’d thought a walk was a good idea, she couldn’t fathom. She hadn’t intended to even leave her neighborhood but lo and behold, she’d wandered again. She really needed to stop that. The albino paused at a crosswalk and squinted, thinking that it would somehow help her. Nothing up or down the street from her seemed terribly familiar. This probably wouldn’t be so much of a problem if she got out more, but that was usually out of the question. She wandered out as a way to try and force herself into social interaction of some sort so maybe she could learn to get over her aversion to talking to people. It never worked; she really didn’t know why she bothered. However hiding inside from the general population didn’t seem a viable option and so out she went. What did she get for it? Lost, as usual. Lior sighed and adjusted her grip on the parasol she held over her head. At least it wouldn’t be dark anytime soon, it was still fairly early in the day after all. The last time she’d gotten lost it had been almost evening and so she’d been understandably worried with not wanting to be caught out after dark. Abigail would have had a fit or quite possibly a heart attack. Perhaps Lior would start asking her former nanny to accompany her on her walks. It would certainly help her remain calm, and she wouldn’t get lost nearly as often. Turning on her heel, the albino went about trying to discern where she was once again so that she might try to make her way home.

Today was like any other day for Bang Bang, she hadn't slept in about 48 hours. Her skunk got loose from her room and ran around her dorm room causing a hug commotion. She may or may not have broke into a friends house stole something of their and left a message saying that is they ever want to see the item again they will have to go on a hunt for it by fallowing the clues she has laid out over the city. You know, the usual. But At this very moment Bang was out and about from her dorm room takeing her pet skunk, skittles, out for a walk. Normally skunks are nocturnal animals but it seemed like skittles was talking after Bang and being awake at strange hours. Bang didn't even notice the very strange looks she was getting. She was used to people staring at her for her hair and clothing but now it was because she had a white skunk on a leash and she may have spiked some of his fur to give him a mow hawk. She made her way down the streets of the city humming to her self watching people walk by when something caught the rocket launchers eye. She wants that hard to pick out of the crowd seeing as she had an umbrella out in the middle of a sunny day. Bang stopped to just make sure it really wasn't raining and seeing and feeling that it wasn't she made her way over to the girl. "Come on Mr. Skittles there is some one knew of us to stalk!" As Bang started to pick up her pace her remembered that she had a skunk for a pet, they don't really run they more of waddle. She Bang picks up her lovely skunk and runs over to say hello to this knew person. Bang runs in front of the girl with a big grin on her face. "Hey there I could help but see that you have an umbrella out and it's not even--OH SWEET JESUS IN HEAVEN IT'S A GHOST!!!!" Bang pointed a finger at the girl realizing that her skin was white and her eyes red. Had she been a little smarter Bang would have just seen that this girl was albino and not a Ghost, but it's Bang and she is dumb and scared of a lot of things. "YOU'LL NEVER TAKE MY SOUL WONDERING SPECTER OF THE DAMNED!!" With this Bang leaps into the air and grabs onto a street light to get away from the girl, hissing at her like a strange rainbow cat. All the while skittles just hangs out in Bang's arms not really giving two fucks.

Lior hadn’t expected the living incarnation of a rainbow to be in front of her when she turned around. The albino girl dam near jumped out of her skin, a hand immediately going to her chest to calm her startled heart. The grin on the girl’s face confused her. What in the world was going on and…was that a skunk? Lior supposed it was better than a dog considering if the bright girl’s companion had been of the canine sort things would have escalated quickly. Ever since that incident when she was a little girl Lior was terrified of dogs. Of course the conversation started out perfectly normal until the sudden newcomer noticed her appearance.
One would think Lior as used to people being taken aback by her strange appearance, but this girl’s was a bit extreme. Lior at first merely blinked and appeared a bit shocked,
“Miss please, I am not a gho-“
The albino stopped trying to speak as the rainbow climbed up a street light and continued to yell. Oh wonderful, a commotion, just what Lior needed. She nervously glanced around. If people hadn’t been staring earlier, they certainly were now. Anxiety was starting to set in under their gaze, and the rainbow hissing at her wasn’t helping her maintain her composure. This wasn’t the worst she’d been through, she could handle this. Lior may have believed that thought had she not already felt herself tearing up. Oh no. No, she was not going to cry in public, no! Too late, the albino could feel the tears start to run down her cheeks. She hiccupped and hunched her shoulders.
Lior doubted that the girl clinging to the street lamp could hear her, btu she continued trying to explain anyway. Wiping at her eyes, the albino still avoided eye contact as she tried and failed to keep a steady voice,
“I’m not a ghost. I-I’m an albino; I haven absence of pigment in my skin. I promise I’m not a demon, I-I’m sorry for scaring you!”
She may as well have been a demon, a freak of nature like her. She’d given the same speech many times, but it was difficult given how her voice was shaking. Lior sniffled and tried to blink quickly to keep more tears from falling but it didn’t quite work out. This certainly wasn’t the most embarrassing case of mistaken identity she’d encountered but it certainly came close.

Bang's face completely changed once she saw that the girl was crying. She looked down to the skunk in her arm, who was also albino. Bang hopped off the street lamp and walked over to the girl placing a hand on her shoulder. This time when she spoke it was in a calmer and more relaxed tone of voice. "Hey. . . Hey don't cry. I'm sorry for saying those hurtful things. Your not a demon your right or anything evil. . ." Bang just felt like a total jerk right now for making this poor cute girl cry. Bang had to think of something fast in order to turn this mess around.
Bang thought and looked down at the skunk and then back to the girl and held him out to her. "Here this is Skittles as you can see he is albino just like you. I really am sorry about making you cry I just wasn't expecting to see someone like you walking around in the sun. Isn't the sun bad for you? Well I guess that would be why you have an umbrella as well. Oh I'm sorry I am rambling a bit, but if you like you can hold Skittle's. He will make you feel better! He always makes me feel better when I am upset."
Bang gave the girl a huge friendly grin now. Not quite like her I'm up to no good grin, but more like hey you are a new person and I shouldn't scare you that much right off the bat. As soon as the girl would take the skunk the little guy would cuddle up in her arms. If he was a cat he would be purring right now, but he's not so he wont. "See what I tell ya, he is good at cuddling. Guy is a little cuddle whore."
The rocket launcher paused for a moment realizing that she hadn't introduced her self to this girl at all. "Oh by the way my name is Bang Bang and you must be new around here because I haven't seen ya before. . . Well I guess that would be obvious seeing as how I reacted to you before." She gave the girl a silly little grin now. "Again I'm sorry I'm a bit of a lunatic and I reacted with out thinking. I tend to do things like that." She really hoped that she wasn't putting this girl off and for all she knew she was.

Lior flinched at the hand on her shoulder. She was expecting something more akin to a slap to the face, so the apology caught her by surprise. Given that she’d dealt with several occasions of people claiming to be sorry only to gain her trust so they could later drag her through the mud, the albino girl was suspicious. Still, the look on the girl’s face seemed sincere. Lior sniffled and wiped her eyes. Another unexpected thing was the skunk. Blinking, she wondered how she hadn’t noticed the telltale coloring. The rainbow was indeed walking an albino skunk, what were the odds.
With her voice still shaking a bit, she answered the girl’s ramblings,
“It’s alright; I’ve dealt with worse reactions. The sun is harmful to people like me, but that’s what my parasol is for. I also have to put sunscreen on whenever I go out, regardless of the weather.”
Hold a skunk? What a strange turn this day was taking. Weren’t skunks supposed to smell? Lior had never seen a skunk up close before, but this Skittles was awfully cute. The Technicolor girl handed him to her and Lior wobbled a bit, shifting her weight and trying to balance her parasol over one shoulder whilst managing to hang onto the albino creature. It wasn’t terribly hard. It was a bit like when she’d pick up her younger brother and cart him around the house when he would fall asleep in the parlor, at least when he’d been small enough for her to carry. Sure enough, the skunk cuddled right up to her. Lior felt herself relax a bit, smiling shyly down at the creature in her arms,
“He is awfully cute. I’ve seen a skunk before. I didn’t know people could keep them as pets, certainly.”
Lior herself had a pet chinchilla back at the house. Malachi wasn’t an albino; he was just your typical grey color that you’d usually expect. Still, he’d been a good friend to Lior for many years. She wondered if chinchillas and skunks got along at all. Hearing the girl introduce herself, Lior wondered if that was actually her name. Bang Bang, that wasn’t something you heard every day. Keeping the shy smile on as best she could, Lior bowed her head slightly,
“My name is Lior Menke. I haven’t been here long, I only moved to Death City a few weeks ago from Chicago.”
The albino girl shifted Skittles in her arms and gently patted the skunk on the head before glancing up at Bang,
“You don’t need to keep apologizing, it’s really alright. I really have dealt with worse.”
It was true. There was a scar on her temple hidden by her hair to prove that after all, but something told her Bang wouldn’t be throwing stones at her or anything. She seemed genuinely nice if a bit odd, but then again Lior her self was odd so she supposed she wasn’t one to judge.

The little skunk made some squeaking sounds as Lior was petting him. His little eyes began to close as he cuddles up to her. He was a nocturnal animal and Bang wasn't helping the little guys sleeping habits. Bang places her hand on her hip grinning at the girl. "To answer your question about keeping skunks as pets, they remove their musk gland. The thing that makes them stinky. After that the skunk calms down and is like a mix of a cat and a dog. He is a wonderful pet and my little baby!"
When the girl introduced her self Bang couldn't help but give her a hearty slap on the back. "Well Lior welcome to Death City! I can show you the ropes around here. I have lived her for over a year now and know all the best places to hang out and to run away when people are chasing you because you just happened to brake threw the wrong window... I didn't know that Dion had moved! It was a mistake!" Bang stopped realizing that she was staring to sound very crazy. Then she realized that she had realized this and it blew her mind. "Do I always sound this nuts? Wait don't answer that it was a rhetorical question."
At this point a few people where stopping and staring at the two girls on the street. Some knew who Bang was and quickly made their way past the rocket launcher. Other, a group of guys, started to point at the albino girl and mutter under their breath. Bang glanced over at them her eyes narrowing. "Hey if you got somethin' to say to my friend why don't you just say it? But I worn you if you make her cry I will brake you." One of the boys looks to the rainbow girl and pulls at another arm. "Dude lets go I know that girl. She is crazy and will give you a wet willy or something while she beats you up." The guys turn and leave one having the nerve to yell freak.
Bang glances at Lior and patted her on the head. "Hold up a sec girl I have to go teach that boy a lesson. It's rude to call us pretty laides freaks am I right?" Bang rolled her shoulders and leaned froward. Two of her grinning rockets appeared on her back and she took off talking they boy that yelled freak. She didn't do anything horrible to him but had a few stern words to say as she sat on the boy. He apologized and Bang got up and walked back over to Lior. "There we go all is well again!"

The little squeaks hat Skittle made as Lior patted his head had her heart melting. Oh, he was just too precious! The look on the albino’s face softened and she even smiled. Not a shy smile, not a nervous smile, an actual smile like she was genuinely enjoying herself. Who’d of though a living rainbow and her pet skunk were all that was needed to get it out of her? Lior certainly wouldn’t have known or even thought of it, but there she was. Lior nodded at Bang’s explanation as it did make sense. She gently scratched the skunk behind the ears and giggled,
“He’s absolutely adorable, Bang. I wonder if he’d get along with my chinchilla?”
It was an absentminded question that had just sort of slipped out, but there it was. Still, Lior couldn’t imagine she’d mind a play date between a chinchilla and a skunk. The slap on the back caught her off guard. The albino wobbled a bit and sputtered, coughing some and being careful to hold onto Skittles and not drop him. She couldn’t imagine the furry creature would take kindly to that. The welcome was appreciated, though. She’d met a few people including but not limited to her Weapon and even another albino, but neither had exactly given her a welcome to Death City. It was new and even though her back stung a little, Lior managed to smile,
“Thank you, Bang, that’s very kind of you.”
Lior did tilt her head and furrow her brows at the pause and previous story though. Breaking through windows? Was this something she did on a regular basis? Lior had opened her mouth to tell Bang no, she didn’t sound that nuts, but of course then she was told not to answer. Ah yes, rhetorical question, it all made sense now. Lior hadn’t noticed the group of guys pointed at her specifically. Bang had earned a few looks from passersby that she had noticed, but it had made her feel oddly comforted in a way. For once people weren’t staring at her; rather they were staring at someone far more colorful and interesting than she. Lior did turn her head to look at who Bang was yelling at though, and couldn’t stop the blush that came to her face when she told them off.
The sound of the word freak being yelled reached her ears, and Lior held in a sigh. Here it goes again, the name calling. The albino adopted a rather crestfallen expression and looked down to the skunk in her arms. At her head being patter, she hunched her shoulders and squinted up at the rainbow girl. Teach them a lesson? Pretty? Lior hardly thought she was pretty, but her worry about what Bang was about to do made her eyes follow the girl’s path. Well, the rockets were surprising. Lior hopped back a bit, holding Skittles closer to her and hoping he wouldn’t become distressed by all the commotion. Then again if he lived with Bang Bang, maybe he was used to it?
Lior was awestruck by the rainbow’s actions. Not so much the sitting on the young man or her terse words, but rather that she was taking any action at all. Lior had little interaction with those outside of her family, and any interaction she did have previously with strangers usually ended with her hurrying away in tears. Nobody who wasn’t her older brother had ever really stood up for her. Then again, nobody but her older brother had ever really been present to do so. It was heartwarming and touching and it had Lior tearing up once again. Feeling absolutely silly, Lior quickly wiped her eyes and gave Bang the biggest smile she could manage, slipping into Hebrew for half a second before realizing her mistake and switching,
“Toda rabah, Bang! Er, sorry, I mean thank you, thank you so much!”
