((Alright, it’s time for the Witch plot! All of those who signed up for this, you will have two weeks to post after each of my posts. This thread will guide us into the next step in the site plot. At the end of the thread, you will be awarded extra points for your participation. Now then, let’s get started!))
Zuri wanted to be anywhere but the Witch’s Realm considering what went down the last time she paid it a visit, but unfortunately it was necessary for transport. Could she travel from Kenya to Egypt in her familiar form as a hulking spotted hyena? Yes. Could she fly there? Yes. But both of those options seemed grossly inconvenient and unnecessarily time consuming. She could run herself ragged all the way up to the Suez Canal, but she would have to switch back to appearing human in order to cross, then switch back again for easier travel. Flight seemed too showy for her, too obvious. The bottom line was that Zuri wanted the task at hand over and done with as soon as possible. The process was simple. Open a portal to the Witch’s Realm, hop through. Once there, open another portal directly to Sharm, hop through it. Much easier than her other options. Hopefully the other Witches she awaited would do the same, if only for the sake of time. Zuri could feel herself growing more and more impatient by the minute. She’d sent out a message, left it in the Witch’s Realm, left it for any Witch that wished to join her in her unexpected journey to find. She didn’t care who it was, to be quite frank. Zuri just didn’t want to be alone when she found this A’zam character. Sharm could have been called beautiful if not for all the people. It sat on the southern coast of the peninsula, dotted with resorts plotted out with palm trees and giant pools, and filled with tourists pouring in from everywhere that Zuri was dying to sink her teeth into. She ground her teeth so hard navigating the streets it was a wonder she didn’t shatter a tooth in the process. The ocean was too close, shimmering blue waters appealing to the humans present but absolutely revolting to Zuri. The ocean had no place in her heart. The smell of salt made her crinkle her nose and glower at the horizon. But she didn’t linger among all the people. There was still arid, dry land all around small peaks breaking up the skyline to frame the city. Zuri found herself there, nestled down in between the jagged rocks wishing she could have brought Asha and Zuberi with her. She hated to be so isolated, but hopefully she wouldn’t be for long. Seated cross-legged on the dusty ground, she held the small orb in her hands, watching the deep black ooze twist and turn inside. The white dot flickered in and out of site, almost like it was teasing her. Zuri narrowed her eyes, pressing her mouth into a thin line. Zuri didn’t know what she wanted more: to get this over with or to get ahold of the power this supposed sorcerer had promised them.

Traveling was not something the tiger witch did too often but she had been finding herself doing it more then he would have liked to admit. She had gotten Zuri’s message about the meeting with the sorcerer that they had previously met before. Kali would not and could not bring herself to leave her dear sister witch alone with this best and plus there was a promise of power to be had. She needed this power; she had to get her hands on it if she wanted to get what she had been after for so long.
Kali and her lager bangle tiger made their way to the witch realm. True it was a place only for witches but if anyone dared to try and lay a want or spell on her most beloved tiger they would pay a dear price for that action. Using the realm as a booster Kali made the portal to arrive where it was Zuri said to meet. Her eyes moved and flitted about the land scape looking for her friend. The ocean? No so would never find Zuri near there.
After a moment Kali’s attention was pulled away and down to her tiger who was now giving a low growl looking at some nearby rocks. Yes that was most defiantly a place where Zuri would hide out till others arrived. Kali moved her hand over the animals head giving him a found smile. ”Very good Shiva thank you my love.” She muttered softly to the animal by her side as she moved now to the rocks.
”Zuri!” Kali called out to her friend so as to not startle the other witch as she approached the rocks. Likewise Shiva gave a soft growl to also let her know he was with Kali as well. He liked Zuri but he for one didn’t want to startle the witch and end up on the wrong end of one of her spells.

Cendrine was feeling a bit conflicted today. Why? Well, today would be the first time she really did anything with other witches. Other than her witch mentor, the girl hadn’t really met any other witches. Which of course made sense, as they weren’t nearly as fun as humans. Plus, humans were more common than witches, so it wasn’t like Cendrine was going to run out of human friends any time soon. The message she had received was about a sorcerer she believed they were intended to meet. But that was really all the girl knew. The message had probably said more, but Cendrine had forgotten. Regardless, the task was certainly exciting!
But on the other hand, Cendrine was passing up a golden opportunity to excite all these people with her magic.
Sharm was a huge city that Cendrine had never been to before. So many tourists as well. Those were even more fun that the average person. The girl had teleported in the city itself as opposed to where she was supposed to meet with the other witches. In a back alley, of course. No one had seen her actually enter, but they most certainly did see her exit. The tourists had thought Cendrine a street performer. Made sense, as the girl looked nothing like a local and was wearing quite the garb. Witch hat and long black dress. Grey hair so long it covered her left eye too. It was easy to confuse Cendrine for someone pretending to be a witch rather than actually a witch. Passing up their requests to see her magic tricks was so very difficult. Perhaps she’d come back after she had done what she was supposed to do with the other witches.
Eventually Cendrine found the other witches. Oh, and a tiger, though tigers were even less interesting than witches. The two appeared much older than Cendrine. It wouldn’t surprise her if they were also much more powerful than the friesian witch. Of course, Cendrine wasn’t at all intimidated by how much lesser she looked compared to them. Cendrine was never intimidated, mostly because she wasn’t quite sure what the word meant. ”Hello!” She called at them once she was certain she was close enough to be heard, enthusiastically waving. She then ran the rest of the distance until she was standing by the other two. ”I believe one of you sent out a request for help?”

Zuri may have startled if she was the type. Or younger. But Kali’s voice was familiar and more than welcome. Looking up, she was somehow not surprised that Shiva padded slowly along at her side. They were never apart. All at once Zuri felt a pull at her heart, wishing dearly that Asha and Zuberi were with her once again, but she wasn’t alone now. The company of Kali comforted her. She slowly got to her feet patting the dust off her skirts before turning greet Kali with a toothy smile. “Kali dear, I’m so glad you could make it!” Paused to bend slightly at the waste, Zuri made sure to greet the massive tiger as well. “And greetings to you too, Shiva sir.” Straightening, Zuri held the orb still in both hands, glancing down at it nervously. The more she held onto it, the more her thoughts drew back to just what that ooze swirling inside it could do. If it broke and got on her hands… Zuri shifted her weight onto one hip, halting her thoughts before they distracted her from the matter at hand. “It means a lot to me that you’re here. Having someone accompany who was also there for that wretched bird is a great comfort. I’d hate to do this alone, especially since I have no idea what we’re truly walking into.”Self-preservation had always been a priority with Zuri. With two of her sisters competing for territory with her constantly with their alligators and lions, she had to be on guard, always. She would definitely have her guards up for this. She was already feeling tense. A small voice reached Zuri’s ears. Small but certainly enthused. Turning towards the sound, gold eyes landed on a much smaller companion than she had been expecting. Not as young as the last young Witch she had encountered, but certainly younger than her and Kali by some years yet. By her spastic waving and how she was rushing towards them, at least it appeared that she very much wanted to be there. Zuri gave the little one the same toothy grin that she’d given Kali, bending in greeting once again given the massive height difference between the two. “That would be me, little one,” she said in a honeyed tone, “I do hope you enjoy adventures, because this is sure to be an interesting one.” Or deadly. Zuri stamped out the nerves again. This was already troublesome enough. With two Witches in her company, though, the urge to get started was killing her. There had been a disturbing absence in the Witch’s Realm lately. She assumed others were hiding, or that they simply didn’t care. Whatever the reason, Zuri was glad to even have two of her kin beside her in this, even if she only knew and fully trusted one. Glancing between the two, Zuri adjusted the grip she had on the orb. “I suppose we’d better get a move on, then. The sooner this is over the better. All these tourists are making me hungry.”Turning the orb over in her hands, Zuri lifted it closer to her face to inspect the white dot’s location. It shifted and turned and finally became more visible. South from where they were as far as she could see from the rocks…directly towards the Red Sea. Fantastic. A scowl painted her face as she rolled her eyes. “Alright, dears, we’re going towards the water it seems.” Shaking her head and muttering to herself in displeasure, Zuri started forward so they would leave the rocks but in a way that would avoid all of the idiot humans. The dips and turns of the earth didn’t much faze Zuri. Sure, she was used to flat grasslands, but it wasn’t as though she hadn’t needed to climb a tree or two in her lifetime. Rocks were similar enough and easy to navigate. Awkwardly hopping and skidding her way down, her feet landed on white sand. The sound of the waves rolling in and the smell of the salty water made her crinkle her nose. Unpleasant. Zuri continued on, glancing behind her periodically to be sure her kin were still following along. She reached the edge of where the waves and consulted the orb. The white dot blinked in and out of focus and for a moment Zuri narrowed her eyes before gazing past it. It was in the water, or at least further out on it. Zuri eyed the water in distaste, lips curling back in a sneer. Before she could voice her concerns any better than a low growl in the back of her throat, another wave hit the shore and travelled far enough in to brush seawater over her toes. Zuri yelped and hopped back as though she’d been bitten. Embarrassment be damned, water was evil! Glaring out across the horizon, Zuri placed one hand on her hip, shaking the orb in the other in protest. “It’s out to sea! Does he expect us to swim to him? Is he completely mad?”

One of the two women that Cendrine had run up to bent down to talk to Cendrine. Oh! That was great! That’s what the nice people always did when they spoke to her. It meant that Cendrine didn’t need to be tilting her head up to look at them. So this witch was nice, then? That’s good. Cendrine didn’t like meanies.
The woman spoke in a sugary tone. Also something the nice people did. Yay! It had been a while since Cendrine had met a witch that was really nice to her. Or, had it been a while? Maybe that while was never. Whatever. Didn’t matter, as this one was nice. The other woman hadn’t said anything, but she was probably nice enough too. The witch spoke of an adventure. An interesting one. Well, that sounded like fun! It was good that Cendrine had come.
However, the witch had failed to introduce her and her friend by name. Cendrine had forgotten her name, and would have no way of knowing the other one’s name. Cendrine would give them nicknames, then. Hm. The one with the tigers would be Tiger Witch, and the nice one would be Nice Witch! Well, unless they told her their names later. Cendrine wasn’t the best at nicknames. If they did, Cendrine would tell them her name as well. Normally people didn’t ask her name because they didn’t care to know, and she figured these two were no different.
Soon enough, Nice Witch spoke again. So they were going to get a move on. But she also mentioned something else. ”Huh? Do they make good food here?” Cendrine asked, mostly to herself, though her voice remained loud as the girl didn’t really get why she should ever be quiet. If there was good food there, she’d just have to go and meet the people. Perhaps Nice Witch would even come with her. That’d be nice.
Sadly, the orb led towards the water. Ocean, right? That meant sand usually. Cendrine didn’t like sand. They were like ashes, but not close enough for Cendrine to have any control over them. Eck. Best grit her teeth and bear it. Cendrine didn’t want to be a pain to Nice Witch and Tiger Witch.
Eventually the group arrived at the sea. Looked like the place they needed to be was in said sea. Eck. Cendrine couldn’t swim! There was never any incentive for her to learn. That would be troublesome, but it didn’t look like Nice Witch intended to go out to sea. Huh. Maybe they would just go back to the city and eat some of that good food Nice Witch had been talking about. That would be nice.

Zuri was tempted to answer the little Witch’s question, but perhaps she could do so later. To be fair Zuri had no idea if the food was good in Sharm. It all depended on the tourist and what they usually ate. Generally they were tasty enough, but that was just from her own personal experience. Tourists in jeeps looking for lion on the Savannah weren’t common enough to both Zuri, but they appeared with enough frequency to serve as an unexpected feast. Perhaps she would show the little one how to properly roast a human, even though Zuri preferred hers raw. Either way, they had quite the unfortunate situation on their hands. Glaring at the orb with it held right before her eyes, Zuri frowned. It was definitely out on the water, or under it. It better not be under it, or I swear. Whichever it happened to be, they would need a way out. Stealing a boat would bring too much attention, and attention would bring Shibusen. Despite the fact that all three would run to completely different parts of the world, Shibusen was Shibusen. Zuri wasn’t in the mood to handle a couple of snot-nosed brats thinking themselves worthy of taking of her life. Sighing heavily and crossing her arms, Zuri shut her eyes and crinkled her nose. She appeared to be in deep thought, but the sour expression on her face made it possible that it was just the sea air getting to her. Both were completely accurate. They needed a way across the water. They didn’t know just where they were going so a portal was of course out of the question. Exactly none of them were swimming, or at least she certainly wasn’t. She would die before she willingly dove into the dreadful sea. It took a moment but the solution hit her. You idiot.Zuri smacked herself hard in the forehead. Brooms. They needed brooms, that way they could simply fly. And, of course, she had opted not to fly to Sharm and didn’t have hers. She felt like such an idiot. She could feel her sisters laughing at her all the way back in Kenya whether they cared about what she was doing or not. Shifting the orb over to one hand and appearing entirely done with the whole situation already, and they’d barely even gotten that far. “Alright. If it’s that far out to sea, the best option is to fly,” she said flatly. Gold flitted between the little Witch and Kali. “I don’t know about you two, but I didn’t fly here so I don’t have mine. But now we know where we need to go. We’ll use this stupid beach as a checkpoint of sorts. We go to the Witch’s Realm, obtain a broom whether it’s yours or a new one, and then meet back here as quickly as possible, okay?”Not that Zuri really gave either the little one or her friend a chance to object. Her way seemed the best way, after all what else were they going to do? Go to one of the resorts, kill the housekeeping maids, and steal their brooms? Certainly not, that would be silly. And time consuming. And too showy. While Zuri would delight in being able to slaughter hundreds and feast on their flesh and bone to her heart’s content and leave the rest to her hyenas, that wasn’t on the docket. Dragging a hand down her face, Zuri shook her head at both the stupidity of the situation and her own before opening a portal to the Witch’s Realm once again. Met with familiar streets and buildings, Zuri had a decision to make: here or there? She quickly decided there by default. Even if it meant one extra portal jump, a stop home also meant a stop to be surrounded by familiar faces and giggles, no matter how brief. Zuri didn’t go far before opening the next portal for herself, hopping through, and delighting at her bare feet hit sun baked dust and dry grass. Zuberi and Asha were at her side in seconds, prancing and bouncing up off their front paws and nudging her with their noses. Giggles surrounded her and brought a smiles to Zuri’s face, doling out ear scratches and pats on the head as she sauntered to the nearest tree. She kept her broom up along one of the branches, low enough for easy access and also out of the way given how rowdy she and her clan could occasionally become. Zuri reached up and untied it with ease given her height, holding it slightly aloft over her shoulder as she stepped carefully through the crowd of hyenas currently vying for her attention. “There, there,” she cooed softly to them, “I’ll be back before you know it.” One more portal back to the Witch’s Realm. One more portal that led back to the awful sea air and the gross sand. Zuri pulled a disgusted face as she returned. What a dreadful place. Hopefully the little one and Kali would return soon and they could get this over with. The sooner they found this troublesome sorcerer, the sooner Zuri could return home and be at ease far, far away from the ocean.

Whilst Nice Witch was trying to figure out how the group should get to where the orb was leading, Cendrine was trying to figure out the same thing. Of course, Cendrine wasn’t as intelligent as the hyena witch, leaving her ideas on how to cross through the water a bit less practical. She still couldn’t swim, but maybe they could make a boat? If Cendrine had better material to make ashes from, she might be able to, though it’d probably fall apart when it hit the water. Oh! Or maybe one of the two witches specialized in boat magic and could summon boats at will! That’d be useful.
Before Cendrine could continue to contemplate what it would be like to have boat powers instead of ash powers, Nice Witch spoke up again. Oh, yes! Flying! They could do that! Why hadn’t Cendrine thought of that? Perhaps it was because she rarely ever flew around. The people were - most of the time - on the ground after all. Birds weren’t nearly as fun as humans. Besides, if she wanted to go somewhere quickly going as a Friesian was fast enough.
”That’s a great idea!” Cendrine said, spinning around in place. She didn’t bother bringing up her own idea and asking if either of the two had boat summoning powers. Nice Witch’s plan was much better. Besides, she didn’t have much time to as the hyena witch soon opened a portal and went through it.
Huh. Cendrine never felt a need to travel to and from the witch’s realm often. It was no fun there. Even if there was sand here, Cendrine still preferred the fact that she was at least kinda near humans. Oh well. She’d only be there for a moment’s notice. Just to get her broom. Cendrine opened a portal, and arrived in the witches realm, then begun to walk towards where she kept her broom.
Huh. Did she even own a broom?
Cendrine certainly didn’t need a broom for anything but flying, and she hadn’t flyed since she was learning how to. And then she was using her mentor’s broom, so Cendrine really wasn’t sure about how to get a broom. Troublesome. Maybe she could go ask a human for a broom. They were always nice enough.
But that would require more portals, and she’d be wasting Nice Witch and Tiger Witch’s time. Oh wait. She knew! She’d just borrow her grandmother’s, then return it to her when she was done. Grandmother was so nice that Cendrine was sure she wouldn’t mind. So, Cendrine made her way to visit Enya Blix.
In due time the little witch arrived at the place that Enya resided at. She knocked on the door. ”Enya? It’s Cendrine!” She called out, but to no answer. No “Welcome back, Sonja” or even “Not right now, Sonja”. The door was unlocked, so Cendrine entered it. Huh. She wasn’t even here. Oh well. There was her broom. Cendrine was pretty sure Enya had more than one, so it’d be okay to borrow it just for a bit. So, Cendrine took the broom and then made another portal, returning to the beach.
”Alright! Cendrine is all ready to go!” Cendrine spoke having returned, noting that at least Nice Witch had also returned. Had she even properly introduced herself? Whatever. It really didn’t matter, right? Friends didn’t need to know names of friends. Cendrine wasn’t even sure of Nice Witch’s real name. After Cendrine spoke these words, she said nothing else. Now she was simply waiting to be told what to do.

The little one was growing on Zuri. Much better behaved than the other little Witch she’d once known, but then she also appeared a bit older. Either way, she was smart enough to know that her idea was the best idea. It made Zuri smile, granted the sharp teeth tended to put a sinister look to it no matter what. At least she meant well, and hopefully the little one’s approval would mean she would hurry back post haste. The sooner they could get this over and done with the better. Curiosity was beginning to give over to frustration with all of the effort needed to put in. Zuri just wanted to go home and bake under the savannah sun once it was all over. Standing on the beach with her broom rested over her shoulder, Zuri held the orb close to her face and observed the white dot. She tapped her foot against the wet stand, stepping back quickly when the waves nearly lapped at her toes again. She would not have any more of that disgusting water on her person. Not if she had anything to say about it. Oh, but she hoped flight would get them to their destination. If swimming was involved, Zuri would have half a mind to chuck the troublesome orb leading them around by the nose into the horizon. Thankfully Zuri wasn’t kept waiting long so her thoughts couldn’t become too negative. The little one appeared at her side speaking in the third person. So her name was Cendrine. Remembering they technically still didn’t know each other; Zuri lifted her broom and swept it down so it could hang at her side a moment, smiling down at the little Witch. “Cendrine is it? What a pretty name.” Zuri bent at the waist again so she was more near the little one’s level. “My name is Zuri, and if you’re ready to go then so am I.” The magic was simple and required no incantation. Zuri still hated it regardless. She held her broom horizontally next to her with one hand before hopping onto it, sitting to the side so she could face forward and folding her legs beneath her. Looking once more to Cendrine, she nodded towards the sea. “Let us be off, then.” Zuri held the orb close to her chest, checking the white dot’s location before lifting off further from the ground and reasonably far above the waves so there was no chance of them touching her as they progressed forward. A long, long, long way forward. The white dot certainly became closer and closer, but not fast enough for Zuri’s liking. They were travelling quite a ways out to sea, and that made her nervous. Where exactly was he leading them? An island? A cove? No, not this far out. Please don’t be underwater, please don’t be underwater. They flew still, the wind whipping through Zuri’s already wild hair. The white dot drew very suddenly near and Zuri swung the end of her broom around to stop, hovering sideways in the air. “It appears we’re here but…” There was nothing there but water. Deep water judging by the color, ominously dark blue shifted beneath them. Zuri swallowed dryly. “It is underwater, isn’t it?” she said more to herself than to Cendrine. No matter how displeased she sounded, there was an undertone of nerves that made her sound hardly threatening. For a long moment she stared down the orb in her hand. The white dot was near to them. Zuri shifted her gaze back down to the water. And that was when it moved. At first she thought it was merely a large wave, but then the water dipped very suddenly and continued to do so. It whorled downwards into an open hole for something Zuri only caught a glimpse up before whatever it was hit the water and sent it splashing skyward. It rained by down around them, droplets hitting both the Witches. Zuri squealed dropped several feet in the air before righting herself, scowling and shaking her hair and swiping at the rain of sea water hitting her. “Gross, disgusting, ugh!”In the midst of her throwing a fit, their destination slowly rose from the sea. A tower reached for the sky at a gradual pace, built of stone the color of sand and shaped as though it were a pillar. Windows formed out of crisscrossing sandstone slats took the shape of diamonds. Through the spaces were visible open spaces housing multiple floors, a central pillar within acting at support that ran all the way up to the rounded top of the tower. The structure had appeared out of the depths of the sea, yet it was somehow completely dry both outside and in. In a state of shock, Zuri stared wide-eyed up at the sandstone tower, gold eyes wide. While she had no previous guesses as to what she should expect when they set out on this journey, this was certainly nothing that would have ever crossed her mind. A tower rising out of the sea, completely dry. The residual water that had made her clothes and person a bit damp suddenly no longer bothered her. It took her a moment. Zuri looked at the orb in her hand, then at the tower. She blinked, tried to ignore how shrill and rasping her voice was. “That orb is one hell of a doorbell.”

Oh, so Nice Witch’s name was Zuri, was it? That was a nice name, though Cendrine would miss using the nice little nickname she had given her. Oh well. Cendrine could live with referring to Nice Witch as Zuri for now on. ”Alright!” Cendrine replied to Zuri’s comment about her being ready with a big grin. It was about time they actually got to the place they were supposed to go.
And soon enough, the two were off! Of course, they seemed to be flying around for quite a while. Perhaps the place was on an island of sorts? Cendrine had never been to one of those! A deserted island with nothing but a single palm tree on it didn’t sound like much fun, actually. But she couldn’t see anything out in front of her either. Maybe it wasn’t an island. Cendrine just couldn’t think of what else it could be.
The witches had stopped in the middle of nowhere. Nic- erm, Zuri said that this was where they were supposed to be. Odd, there wasn’t anything here. Not even a deserted island with a single palm tree! Hmpft. Zuri said it was probably underwater.
Again, Cendrine couldn’t swim. She didn’t like water in general, to be honest. Mostly because water meant sand which were just fake ashes, but also because if she made ashes in water it’d drift away from her and she wouldn’t be able to control it. Zuri didn’t seem very intent on just diving into the depths of the sea, either. Maybe they’d just both turn around and go to one of the apparently nice restaurants in Sharm, and forget about what they were supposed to be doing, though Cendrine had done a pretty good job of that already with her own forgetfulness.
What was it they were here for, again? Cendrine tried her best to recall reading what Zuri had put on the message requesting assistance, but she just couldn’t seem to. As Cendrine was thinking about that, she didn’t notice the water disappearing until it was raining down on her.
Cendrine didn’t like rain for the same reason she didn’t like water. Just like Zuri, she sputtered, but managed to not almost fall into the ocean. ”Ack!” The girl exclaimed, completely taken off guard by the water. But it soon stopped. She was drenched, but oh well. Her dress and hat would dry out soon enough. Of course, the fact that her hat now drooped over from the additional weight of the water was a bit troublesome.
A tower had appeared from out of the deep depths of the ocean! How neat. Cendrine didn’t even know such a feat was possible. Maybe Zuri had tower summoning powers since she didn’t have boat summoning ones? Hm. Zuri spoke with a rather shrill voice, though Cendrine didn’t make note of this shrillness. However, it sounded as though the orb had summoned the tower. Huh. Cendrine simply nodded her head in agreement, being a bit to confused to really speak up.

Zuri stared dumbfounded at the tower for longer than was likely necessary. But it was hardly what she expected to encounter on this little journey. Granted she hadn’t really known at all what to expect, but that didn’t change the fact that this was a little surprising even by her standards of the word ‘unexpected’. Breathing deeply and shaking her head, Zuri swiped some of the lingering water off her skin and regarded the orb once more, just to make sure. The white dot remained, this was indeed where they were supposed to be, though it did seem as though it lingered inside. Fantastic.Still hanging onto it carefully in case it turned out to be important once they actually met this supposed sorcerer, Zuri regained most of her composure and looked to Cendrine. “Looks like we’re going inside, Cendrine dear.” She adjusted her grip on her broom to make sure she was as stable as she needed to be, looking over the tower and decided that getting inside may possibly require some finesse. “Stay close to me. I don’t quite trust this yet.” Zuri didn’t care if the sorcerer offered them power, wished to help them. He could offer them the world and Zuri still wouldn’t trust him any further than she could throw him, but actually meeting him face to face would likely help with that. At least, that’s what she expected. Gliding forward, Zuri circled the tower once just t give it a good look. Aside from the diamond shaped windows, there were no entryways to be seen. There was something that caught her eye, though. She halted slowly, backtracked a few feet. On one of the slats just above one of the windows was an arrow painted rather elaborately in black to point inwards. Well, that was one way of inviting them inside. But as Zuri suspected, a touch of finesse. It wasn’t like the windows were exceptionally small, but they were still windows. Zuri didn’t want to slip or get caught and tumble backwards into the ocean. But inside was their next destination. Zuri drifted down and aligned herself as best she could before flying slowly forward. She made it through the open window with relative ease save for being so paranoid about the shape and dimensions. Once inside, her bare feet found the floor. The inside of the tower seemed similar to the outside, at least in color, and at least on this level. Zuri had no way of knowing what the others looked like. Hoping that Cendrine would follow her, Zuri slowly began searching for another arrow, assuming that would be their way of finding their supposed sorcerer. Really though, this is ridiculous.Golden eyes found what she was looking for soon enough, though lower this time. She found another black arrow painted on the floor several feet away. Zuri followed it, and the next after that which led to the beginning of a small hallway. She narrowed her eyes. Narrow space. Not a thing she was fond of in the slightest. Cautiously moving forward with her broom held stiffly at her side, Zuri looked more like she was stalking some unsuspecting animal than simply walking. The predatory look may have been convincing had she not been so tense. More arrows on the floor, more black leading them further in. Zuri avoided stepping on them. Just in case. At last one turned to the right, pointing straight so a closed door. Zuri halted and stared it down for several moments, gold eyes fixated on it as though it were some form of bomb. Swallowing thickly, Zuri took a deep breath and gripped the handle. Zuri opened the door and slowly stepped inside.

Huh. Zuri was certainly staring at this tower for a long time. Cendrine also stared at it, but only because she wasn’t sure about what else to do. Did Zuri not know what a tower was, maybe? Or perhaps she was trying to conclude if this was indeed a tower or not. Either way, Cendrine was at a bit of a loss of what to do. All she could really do was look at the tower. And make sure her hat didn’t fall off. Stupid water was surprisingly heavy...
Eventually Zuri did turn her attention back to Cendrine. Go inside? Well, yea. That’s generally what you did with towers. But Cendrine didn’t see any entrances. Kinda hard to get into a place without any doors. Oh well. She’d leave that to Zuri, as Zuri actually seemed to know what she was doing. ”Alright!” Cendrine replied with a cheer.
The two circled the tower. It pretty much looked the same all the way around. Or at least Cendrine thought it did. She was more concerned with keeping her hat on than what the tower looked like. This inattentiveness led way for Cendrine to almost bump into Zuri when she suddenly stopped. Fortunately she didn’t. Cendrine didn’t want to have to touch the water again...
Zuri was flying through a window. Cendrine supposed that made sense, what with the lack of doors and all. There seemed to be an arrow like marking too. Again, Cendrine just trusted that Zuri knew where she was going. So, she followed ever so slowly as to make sure she didn’t crash.
No crashing. Cendrine landed neatly on the floor. No more flying either. That was a plus. Cendrine wasn’t used to flying, and even so she much prefered walking around. Humans couldn’t fly so walking made it easier to find them, after all. Cendrine continued to follow Zuri, not making a peep. Zuri was walking in a strange pattern, so Cendrine did the same, though she was much more relaxed. She looked to be avoiding the arrows. Cendrine tried to do that, but she might have stepped on one by accident or something. Oh well.
Then the two came across something Cendrine didn’t think they’d ever actually see in this odd tower. A door! Kinda weird to have none outside but have one here. Cendrine didn’t pay that much mind. Zuri had stopped, and took a while to open it. The room must have been important, judging by the way Zuri had stopped. Perhaps this was their final destination.
Again, Cendrine had forgotten what on earth it was they were supposed to be doing. She thought they were supposed to be meeting someone. Yea, that seemed about right. No idea for what, though. Perhaps they were there to become friends! Ah, if they weren’t a witch Cendrine could show them her magic! Perfect! Or perhaps it was something entirely different. Either way, Cendrine was excited to see what it was that was inside.
And then, Zuri opened the door. Cendrine entered with her.

Silence. All around was an encompassing lack of sound. Every so often there may be a low thud from a fish colliding with the tower but otherwise there was nothing. Magical lights kept the inside of the tower illuminated in a dim orange light that made it possible to see where things were but little else. From the inside of the tower it looked as if the outside was in a perpetual state of night unless one was close enough to a window to see the water beyond.
Despite the location of the tower the inside lacked any signs of it being located at the bottom of the ocean. There was no mold, spots of water, or even dust in any of the hallways. Sandstone made up walls and floors of the interior mirroring the exterior. The only other material visible on the inside was an old wood that formed the doors to countless rooms. Each door was closed to keep whatever was inside hidden from prying eyes. In the silence of the tower one room contained multiple sounds not found elsewhere in the tower. A heartbeat, air being inhaled and exhaled, a pen writing, and the sound of paper being turned.
The silence was broken as a creaking spread over the whole of the tower. Starting from the bottom it spread higher until the entire tower sounded like wood breaking. It came to a sudden stop only to be replaced by the sound of water whooshing past and crashing into the place it had been. From any of the windows water could be seen rushing by as the tower rose above the water at rather impressive speed for such a large structure. As it rose the lights grew brighter until they gave off plenty of light for the guest to be able to see.
When the tower had stopped moving the barrier that surrounded it also vanished. The witches wouldn’t notice any change but it would allow them to actually enter the structure and not be prevented like the water that had previously surrounded it. With the barrier down it was only a matter of waiting for the visitors to arrive. Obviously whoever had arrived was a witch he had contacted as they had his gift with them but he was still interested to see who had made the trip to meet him.
Footsteps broke the silence that covered the tower, two sets. It they followed the arrows it would only be a matter of time until they reached him. Every door looked identical to the last so that would hopefully dissuade them from deviating from the set path and exploring the tower on their own. Either way he made no move from where he was and simply waited for whoever it was to reach their destination. The sound of the door handle being turned reached his ears as the door opened and made way for the two to enter.
As the two entered the room they would be met with the distinct scent of old paper along with only a dim orange light to illuminate the space around them. However once they stepped inside the door would close behind them and the light would brighten to reveal the room. All around them were shelves upon shelves of books. Near where they stood the books looked like any one would find in a library but as the rows went back so did they age of the text. To their right the books parted to make some space for a table. A few simple chairs were arranged around the table and in one sat a man facing them.
The man was noticeably tall even from his sitting position. Dark skin cast him as a native to the region and made his green eyes seem brighter. His hair was a messy white that spiked off toward the left while hanging just above his right eye. It was plain to see his clothes were not current as he wore a loose white top that was held on by strips around his shoulders but had nothing on the sides. Over the top was a loose off white top with green edges that vaguely resembled a gi. The gi like top hung around his elbows as he sat with a book in his hands. From their position the table covered his white shorts, gold belt, and the sandals that reached up his legs.
In the light the witches would be able to see he had a gold earring in his left ear and a gold chain in his right that wrapped around his neck before coming to an end in the middle of his chest. As the two approached the man made some quick marks in the book before placing it on the table and greeting them.
”Glad you could make it, take a seat.”
Giving the two a smile he motioned to the chairs on the other side of the table for them to sit on. The turnout was smaller than he would have liked but it would work for the time. When the two were seated he faced them and crossed his arms, resting them on the table before speaking.
”Now then, again I thank you for venturing out here. As I said I am the sorcerer A’zam Nader. I called you here because I haven’t been very active in the witch community over the past three hundred years or so and would like you to fill me in. Once I know what has passed I can help you as unlike my predecessor I share no love for Shibusen and will gladly aid in their destruction.”
Lifting his left arm he rested his chin on his hand and looked at the two witches.
”Well then, what have I missed while I was in here? I’m rather interested in what happened to the moon as well as what those Gorgon sisters have been up to.”
