Seeing the weapon begin to glow again Cyrus was confused for a moment before he remembered that demon weapons could do that. Extending his arm so she could transform without problem he let the pink glow move out of his hand and turn back into the girl that was Lavender. Still not completely used to the transformations Cyrus figured he would get more accustomed to them over time. Already it was only a moment of confusion for him and he had only seen it happen about twice. Now that Lavender was in her human form again he figured there would be no more shooting but he had managed to find a weapon already so it had been a rather lucky day.
Lavender was confident about their performance on any future missions but he wouldn’t have expected otherwise. To be fair he himself was feeling pretty confident if the team was Lavender and himself. If anything his fighting experience combined with gun training made Lavender and himself a rather versatile fighting combination. He only hoped these kishin things obeyed the same laws of damage that he was used to. It would be a problem if they didn’t go down from a shot to the head or chest.
At his weapon’s prompting Cyrus did give her a smile. ”You’re right; going on a mission does sound like quite a bit of fun.” He wasn’t sure about how easy they would be considering they had no prior experience but they did sound fun regardless. So serious, was that how he seemed? That wasn’t his intention but Cyrus could understand how he might seem that was, his desire to be polite to people plus the strict conformance to rules that he was used to could make him seem that way. Guess he would just have to work on that as well.
Introductions! That seemed like a good idea now that he thought about it. They had just met so learning more about the other might be a good thing for future reference. Listening to Lavender speak Cyrus was moderately impressed. It was quite a bit of information to drop on someone but he figured too much was better than too little when it came to knowing someone. The fashion designer comment was interesting considering her status as a gun and how she was attending Shibusen but considering what he had learned about Lavender he figured she could do it. Then it was his turn to speak.
”Well let’s see here. I’m Cyrus, son of Richard and Karen Owen. Dad is American and in the military currently. I’m 18 years old as well with a blood type of B+; I guess my favorite colors would be red and yellow. Um I guess I’m partial to biscuits and I don’t have any grandiose goals like you, I’m just going to see what I do best. Though I do have a bit of a knack for styling hair it seems.”
Finished speaking Cyrus pulled a bit on his hair in slight embarrassment. Telling someone he liked to style hair was still rather embarrassing all things considered but since Lavender had agreed to be his weapon she wouldn’t judge him too harshly for it. All that aside Cyrus was still excited at the prospect of going on a mission with Lavender and seeing how that went. No doubt it would be great and they would be of valuable assistance to Shibusen.
