Lefevre; Céleste;Teacher
Name: Céleste Lefevre
Nickname: N/A
Age: 36
Gender: Female
Race: Meister
Position: Teacher
Class: Graduated Meister
Partner: None at the Moment
A Strong Body
Picture:
Appearance: Céleste is perhaps a bit taller than the average woman. She has a curvy but slim figure which always gets her many looks. Céleste is pale of skin and fair of hair. Her mother used to tell her that if she were to run off into a field of sunflowers they would never find her because her hair matched the petals in color, it was so gold. Her eyes are a deep green. Usually, Céleste will curl and style her hair into some impossible up do that wouldn’t ever hold without at least half a bottle of hairspray. For more casual days when all she’s doing is teaching, though, she goes for simplicity with curled hair that falls just below her shoulder blades.
For clothes, Céleste is very much 1950’s. Shorter dresses that go just past the knee are what you will see her wearing, and they will almost always have a pattern. Polka dots and floral patterns seem to be her favorites though, along with hound’s-tooth. You will never catch Céleste wearing any shoes other than high heels. Maybe boots on cold days or in winter, but those will have a heel to them as well. She gets cold easily, so she always has a jacket hidden somewhere and wears one whenever she goes out. They may have patterns or they may not, but she does seem particular to jackets with fur collars, faux or not.
Céleste will always wear some form of jewelry that is always color coordinated with everything else she is wearing to a point where she is almost OCD about it. If she thinks colors don’t match or the patterns don’t work, she’ll stay home until her outfit looks perfect. She wears make up color coordinated too. If she wears yellow, she puts on yellow eye shadow, blue with blue, red with red, ect. Mascara, eye shadow, and lipstick are always in her routine somehow and she always has extras in her purse, just in case.
Height: 5’8”
Weight: 135lbs
Fighting Style: Just looking at Céleste, you wouldn’t expect her to be able to kick your ass. Think again. Céleste has been all over the world and at times, she wasn’t exactly in the safest of places. Wherever she went, she picked up some sort of way of defending herself. As a girl growing up in France she learned Savate, a form of kickboxing. While attending Shibusen, she took up learning Karate. On her travels around the world she picked up Kung Fu, Systema, Krav Maga, and Aikido. She has muscle you wouldn’t expect and is more likely to try and pin you rather than punch your lights out, but she’ll still tear you a new one if you try to go after her. Céleste generally doesn’t even like to fight, but she’ll never turn down any student who wants to spar with her or turn her back on a challenge that arises. Céleste plays fair by all standards. No biting, not scratching, no spitting, and certainly no hair pulling. She isn’t going to kick someone while they’re down or do anything else she deems as dishonorable.
Personality: Céleste is the definition of sunny disposition. At first glance, she seems very sweet and outgoing. She opens doors for people, comforts them when they’ve had a bad day, and gives hugs to those who need them most. She’s the person you see helping little old ladies across the street. This, however, is only one facet of her personality. At the same time she is friendly, Céleste is also very big on discipline. In her household growing up you kept your things tidy and organized, you did not sass your parents or authority figures, and you always did as you were told.
That being said, she obviously adheres almost militantly to laws and rules and will correct anyone she thinks is stepping outside of their bounds. If Céleste herself breaks a rule of any sort, even by mistake, she goes into meltdown mode. She’ll find a dark corner and sit there punishing herself until someone either forgives her or tells her to suck it up and act like the grown woman she is. During her corner time however, she’ll mutter to herself how she is a horrible person not worthy of any sort of prosperity or joy in her life. This can be as simple as being late to one of her classes or jay walking, neither of which she would ever be likely to do unless in extreme circumstance.
Every emotion Céleste seems to feel is always to an extreme. If she is happy, she will act as if her life on that day at that moment could not possibly be any better. If she is angry, she will yell and scream and take it out on anyone around her….and then later blame herself for being so obnoxious. If she is sad, she will cry and cry until she’s no longer able to cry anymore. She holds absolutely nothing back, and believes very thoroughly that it is unhealthy and dishonest to do so. She also thinks this helps her live her life to the fullest. Life without emotion isn’t life at all to her. Life without excitement is also meaningless to her. Céleste is very adventurous and loves to see new places she’s never been before, eat new cuisine from a far off land, or learn new languages. She’s been all over the world, mostly by herself with very little guidance, simply because she thinks it’s fun. A trek through the Amazon is her perfect Sunday.
Céleste is extremely extroverted which is very obvious from the above. She’ll speak to anyone, help anyone, and always loves to be around people. She loves being among friends and family, it’s where she is happiest in an urban setting. Céleste is the life of any party and is always the first to make conversation or get out and dance to get those around her moving so they don’t feel quite as awkward. On a normal day, no matter the setting, you will almost always see Céleste with a smile on her face.
Inside the Soul
Abilities:
Soul Perception: Céleste is an expert at Soul Perception. She first showed an affinity for it around ten years of age. Coming from a long line of Meisters, her parents immediately picked up on it and helped her practice with it. At first she would only see the other person’s soul, nothing else. As time progressed, the feel of the soul came maybe a few years after first being able to see them. She could tell some of the person’s personality as well as what they were feeling. Of course being a teacher nowadays, her Soul perception is damn near perfect. She can look at a soul and tell what kind of person they are, how their wavelength probably works, how strong they may be, and what emotions they are feeling. Céleste can see three hundred feet with her Soul Perception.
Soul Purge: Don’t get hit with a Soul Purge by Céleste, you’ll get knocked back and quite possibly knocked out at well. The Frenchwoman has killer control over her wavelength and is able to gather and release it with ease, gauging how much of her wavelength is needed to knock her opponent back and never letting out more energy than she needs to do so. At the least, it’s a shock; at the most, you’ll probably be paying a visit to the school nurse.
Redirect: Céleste has the ability to take a wavelength attack that has been thrown at her and redirect it back at her opponent via Soul Purge. In order to do this, though, she must use Soul Perception on her opponent first to know their soul and predict how their wavelength will hit her. How Céleste uses Redirect is that she absorbs the wavelength within her opponents attack, usually through grabbing them. She then synchronizes their wavelength with her own, much like she would for a resonance, and then uses it in a counter attack of Soul Purge. Through Soul Perception she can match her wavelength to the opposing one and use that to lessen any damage it would cause and send the wavelength back at the attacker.

She is fluent in Spanish, French, English, Italian, Swedish, Japanese, Chinese, Swahili, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Greek, and Russian. She can ask for directions and other necessities such as hospitals or police stations in fifteen more.
Dancing – All through her life, Céleste has been a dancer and likely always will be. From ballet to waltz, if you name a dance Céleste will likely not only know it, but be good at it as well. She started dancing when she was five. She studied ballet for fifteen years. At twelve she added waltz to her repertoire out of necessity because her family attended several formal functions. Later on in life through her travels, she learned to tango in Spain and Argentina. She learned Salsa dancing in Brazil. In America she learned swing dancing and jive. In Egypt and the Middle East, she learned to Belly Dance. In Africa she learned tribal dances. In China, Japan, and Thailand she learned traditional dances linked to myths and legends. She dances daily, at home and through the hallways, but mostly at home.
Survival – Céleste has been all over the world. Through her travels, she’s learned how to use the environment around her to help her survive should she find herself alone and without a means of contacting the outside world. If you dropped her into the middle of the Amazon rainforest, she could find her way out on her own in less than a week, or at least survive long enough to be rescued.

Subject: Céleste teaches Survival classes at Shibusen.
History: Céleste Lefevre was born to Pierre and Lucine Lefevre on July 1st. She was born in the city of Rennes in the province of Brittany, France. With her father being a member of the French Foreign Legion and her mother having one been a part of the Medecins Sans Frontieres, her parents made it clear from the beginning that they had very high hopes for their daughter. From a young age, Céleste showed an appetite for adventure and excitement. In school she would gather her friends and lead them on pretend expeditions on which they would find mystical creatures and fabulous treasures. As she grew older these dreams did not cease. In her studies she would research faraway places like the Amazon, Siberia, the Sahara Desert, and Machu Picchu. She was determined that one day; somehow, she would make it to all of these places she wanted to go. And as time went on, it appeared that adventure was indeed in her future.
At the age of ten, something strange happened. While playing around with the family dog in the backyard, Céleste happened to glance at a visiting cousin of hers and began commenting on how vibrant her heart looked. Puzzled, the cousin had turned to look at Lucine to see if she had any idea about what Céleste was on about. Céleste ‘s mother asked her daughter what she meant when she said heart, and the young girl went on to explain how her cousin had a bright pink heart floating about in her chest. It seemed that they’re precious little girl was even more precious than the Lefevres had originally thought. Lucine explained to her daughter that what she was really seeing was her cousin’s soul, and that what she was using to identify it was called Soul Perception. It seemed the family had yet another Meister on their hands.
At the age of fifteen, Céleste began attending Shibusen at the insistence of her parents. She had a gift that they insisted be nourished. Céleste flourished at the school, taking great interest in all of her studies and getting fair grades all around. Over the years, Céleste gained greater control over her powers and partnered with a Demon Rapier by the name of Eve Cornett. Missions were Céleste’s favorite thing. They enabled her to go to new places and save that otherwise she may not have seen. Eve and Céleste were a wonderful pair, earning their resonances and upgrades all in due time and working splendidly together. Near the end of her school career though, she became bored. She needed to explore, not just see. Céleste craved adventure and she needed to travel beyond Shibusen and her comfort zone to get it. Eve, by the time they graduated, needed to return home to care for her ailing mother. A bit after their graduation from Shibusen, they parted ways. Without telling her parents or anyone else, she took her passport and any money she had and set off for her first destination: South America. On her way, she learned basic first aid. How to stitch small cuts, how to sterilize and disinfect wounds without medical equipment, and how to say hospital in five different languages. Once there, she climbed with an alpaca as her only company to Machu Picchu and traveled through the Amazon, visiting small villages and communities with her guide, and learning the languages on the way. She never stayed with other people though.
She insisted that to know what the location was like, she needed to find her own shelter and food. So, Céleste began teaching herself how to build make-shift shelters from vines and leaves suspended from the ground. Being able to control and manipulate said vines and leaves through her powers helped greatly in shelter building. She taught herself how to set traps, and learned from villagers and guides which plants were safe to eat, and which were not. She travelled then to Chile and climbed the mountains to the Incan ruins left abandoned so many years ago. She learned to breathe deeper on higher climbs, to always have warm clothing readily available, and never ever go against what the guide says. Then she travelled to Venezuela and trekked through the forests, climbing small rock walls and dodging mosquitoes to find Angel Falls. She will never forget the sight. She will also never forget how cold it was that morning.
Next Céleste travelled to Africa. She started in South Africa and worked her way up. She went on safaris with researchers and saw Elephants, Hyenas, Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, Wildebeest, Gazelle, and Meerkats. She moved up through the East Coast and met various tribes along the way, and always listening to her guides on which areas to avoid due to violence, narrowly escaping gunshots while passing through Rwanda. In Kenya she stayed briefly with the Masai, learning their culture and learning their customs. Sometimes, she thinks about going back just to visit. From there she went to Ethiopia and saw the Great Rift. Céleste had never seen such a beautiful sight in her life, to see the place where most of humanity originated. She moved on to the Congo…well, almost. The increasing violence made her decide to skip the home of the gorillas and move on to Ghana and Senegal. By this time Céleste was growing tired of Africa, but there was one thing she still had to see: The Sahara Desert.
Finding her way through word of mouth and haphazardly drawn maps, she found herself in the company of the Berbers who had travelled the sands of the Sahara for generations. She moved with them for a short while until they were near enough for Egypt for her to find her own way back to civilization by travelling North up the Nile. There they parted ways. Once in Egypt, Céleste immediately sought transportation to the Great Pyramids. Once again, she was awestruck. She truly believed there could be nothing more amazing than these great works of architecture of the ancients. She could hardly even believe she was seeing them.
After Egypt, Céleste hitched a boat ride to Greece. There her travels came to a sudden halt. Her mother finally was able to contact her in hysterics. Her father had lung cancer and while chemo was helping, she was terrified she would lose him. Dropping everything, Céleste rushed back to Rennes to be with her family. For six months, she helped her mother and watched as her father slowly regained his health. Céleste felt terrible. She had been reckless by running off on her own. What if her mother hadn’t reached her? What if her father had died? Her mother would have been left alone in her grief while she merrily tromped about the globe oblivious to the tragedy. Céleste’s father wouldn’t have it. Her parents had indeed been worried, but her father told her that in addition to that worry that her parents were proud of her for being brave enough for having the tenacity to even think of going on such adventures that he would never even have believed possible. That settled it in Céleste’s mind. She made sure her parents were taken care of by other family members before setting off once again, this time even further to the East.
She went back to Greece and from there went to Turkey. She learned whatever she could, the food, the language, the culture, anything that would make her travels easier. On a climb up to one of many ancient sites to see in Turkey, Céleste lost her footing and fell backwards a good way down the rocks. She landed at just the right angle and force for her left shoulder blade to snap in two. She was taken to a hospital where she needed surgery in order to repair it. Céleste contacted her father who flew out to see that his daughter was taken care of while she was incapacitated. After a few months, Céleste was as good as new. However, her arm and shoulder literally cannot move into certain positions or angles without causing her extreme pain and if anything hits Céleste's left shoulder blade, it can still cause a great deal of pain.
Once her shoulder was healed enough she went to Iran. Perhaps not the best place for a woman to go by herself but it was a country she had always wanted to experience. With a guide in toe, she saw elaborately built mosques, the Shah’s old palace, the busiest markets she had ever seen and more. Somewhere along the way she picked up a bit of Farsi. After Iran it was India. She hadn’t seen forests in too long, and went with a guide to brush up on her survival skills. Leaving with a map, a knife, a flare gun, and some matches, she entered the Indian wilderness on her own. For one week, Céleste would be on her own in the wilderness. It had been some time since she had last had to build her own shelter and catch her own food, but she managed. She spoke to the plants and used her powers to bend small trees and weave branches to make a hut, had the grass knit itself into that of an organic carpet. She gathered any dry would or foliage she could find and used the matches to start a fire. She set basic traps in hopes of catching birds. When that failed, she looked to her knowledge of plants to decide what to eat and what not to eat, and then would promptly see if she could convince them to grow in her direct vicinity. When the week was up she was dirty and smelled awful, but she had survived.
From there it was on to China, Thailand, and Japan. Céleste wasn’t there for survival though. She was there for the culture, the food, the music, everything. She learned the traditional dances, she stayed with local people and worked odd jobs to pay them rent and at one point almost wound up staying in Thailand because she fell in love. But Céleste wasn’t the stationary type, so homeward bound she went at this point. Or at least, that had been her plan. Just before she left for Rennes, she found that she was pregnant. Already being in Japan, Céleste doubted that turning around and heading back to Thailand was a good idea. She’d left her significant other without a word to avoid a painful goodbye. Rather than be held down, she continued back to her homeland and told her parents the good news, determined to give her child the best life possible. Nine months later, Céleste gave birth to her daughter Odette. Following this, Céleste settled down a bit to raise her child. Five years later, she got a call from Shibusen. Her survival skills could potentially come to help the student teams should they find themselves in a sticky situation on a mission if she were to teach them her skills. Not having to think twice about this new adventure, Céleste and Odette packed their bags and were off to Death City.
Extra Notes: - Céleste owns a French bulldog named Ange and can be seen taking her for walks frequently around Death City - Céleste will occasionally have her daughter, Odette, in classes with her if she cannot find a babysitter - Sloppy makeouts in the jungle!

It was good to be back at Shibusen. Céleste had missed it on her travels, wondering how everyone was doing, wondering what her classmates were up to. Her blonde hair, curled into waves, bounced slightly with each step she took that brought her closer to her classroom. The clacking of her red pumps echoed through the halls. The skirt of her red and black polka dot dress swayed with every movement. Céleste looked as if she’d stepped out of a 1950’s women’s fashion magazine, bright smile and all. She simply couldn’t wait to get to class. When she had been offered a teaching job to pass on her survival skills to the students at Shibusen, Céleste has been ecstatic. They had to go on some pretty rural missions now and then. What if their contact got lost and they wound up having to fend for themselves for a night or two or three?
With Céleste as their survival teacher, they would know exactly what to do, exactly what to look for, and what to never, never, never touch with their bare hands. Besides, it would be much more excited to teach then to simply return home to Rennes and work as a travelling consultant. What’s the point if you’re not actually doing the travelling? There isn’t one, that was exactly why Céleste hadn’t been big on the idea, but her mother had insisted. Shinigami-sama and the safety of citizens from Kishin Eggs and Witches, however, would always take priority. So here she was, back at her old school. It hadn’t changed a bit. Then, her blue eyes landed on her classroom door. Smiling brightly, she waltzed in and did a small twirl,
“Bonjour classe! Today I’ll be teaching you how to neutralize jellyfish stings and set traps for small furry creatures in the Amazon! Who’s with me?”
Walking over to her desk, she picked up a small jar with what appeared to be a plastic bag full of goo floating inside. Except it had tentacles. It was a barely alive jellyfish. Holding up the jar and still smiling, Céleste turned to the class,
“Now then, who would like to volunteer for a demonstration?”
