(The rules here are a bit different than normal so let me explain. The posting order doesn’t matter. Post in whatever order you want as long as it is only one post between mine. So as an example[admin-p1-p2-p3-admin-p3-p1-p2] Aside from that there is a time limit. I will post every two weeks and if you have not posted you will be skipped. If this keeps up you may be penalized. If everyone post before two weeks I may post earlier but the limit remains. Alright we got that? Good. Now then, this is a plot thread/mission and there will be rewards at the end to those who remain active through the thread. Good luck~) ----------------------------------------------- All was calm within the witch’s realm. There was nothing important going on for the witches so many were away causing their own kind of chaos in the world. Those that did wander through the city didn’t seem to have any particular purpose in mind. Perhaps they were planning on getting some shopping done and needed just a few more ingredients to complete a potion. Regardless of what brought them to the city they had no worries immediately at mind. Why would anyone worry in the witch’s realm? They were safely cut off from Shibusen and the like and with just witches in the realm they had no reason to fear. No one was expecting to hear a high pitched noise fly through the air. Like the sound of hundreds of birds crying in unison the air was filled with this almost painful sound. In the center of the city a red circle appeared and lines began to cross through it to form symbols. When the circle was finished the noise intensified as a figure emerged from the circle. A cloaked figure rose up from the red circle as the noise filled the air. In one sudden moment the circle vanished and the screeching stopped. The figure stood there in the center of the witch city, looking around but not taking a step. Now that every witch in the city had probably heard the figure’s entrance it calmly stood and waited for them to show up. Its talon feet clicking against the stone walkways that paved the streets. Not moving from the spot it arrived in the cloaked figure stood perfectly still waiting for something to occur around it. (Next admin post: November 10th)

Zuri didn’t often visit the witch’s realm. She hardly needed to as she saw it, in her mind anything she may need she could obtain on her own. Still, occasionally she wanted nothing more than to escape the rampant plague of idiocy that was humanity. Today was one of those days, and so she’d left the Savannah to the watchful eyes of her clan, knowing that Zuberi and Asha would take good care of things during her absence. That was the only issue she had with visiting the witch’s realm, she did not bring along her familiars. Being alone was not something Zuri found comforting, but at least she was among her own kind which made her feel a bit less ill at ease. Finding the place far colder than she was used to coming from the sun-soaked Savannah, the witch rubbed her arms and walked quickly through the streets. She wouldn’t stay long, she never did. Her thoughts of how to occupy herself during her present stay in the safe haven were brought to a screeching halt as a terrible sound reached her ears. Strange, normally it was her causing such a horrendous commotion, but this topped even Zuri’s most terrible hysterics by leaps and bounds. Scowling, the hyena witch covered her ears and dropped to the ground. She hissed and clenched her teeth, refusing to acknowledge that such a sound caused her pain. Sound was part of her magic! Truly it was delirium, but the sound was what triggered it. This was an outrage! Whatever dared make such a racket would answer to her! Thankfully the noise stopped, and Zuri slowly stood. For a clock tick she kept her hands over her ears, cautious just in case the racket started up again. Once certain that there would not be a repeat performance of the terrible screeching, the hyena witch narrowed her eyes and looked around for the source. It was rather easy to spot. A great cloaked figure in the city center was a bit hard to miss after all. Positively livid, Zuri turned and marched straight towards it. She didn’t run, that would imply she was in some sort of hurry or was distressed by its presence. On the contrary, rather the presence of whatever the thing was offended her. What the hell was it and what was it doing in the witch’s realm? How the hell had it gotten in? The witch of laughter intended to find out. Zuri came to a halt directly in front of the cloaked figure. Placing her hands on her hips, she glared up at its darkened face, “You there! Just who and more importantly what are you?”If this thing expected to show her up on the screeching scale, it had another thing coming. She couldn’t care less what it was or where it came from, it had pissed her off and she wanted to know what the hell it was doing here. The witch only hoped it gave her a good reason to try and attack it.

It was safe to say that Kali was more of a recluse then most witches. She never really liked to leave her home of India let alone the forest that she had claimed for her own. Rare was the sigh to see this tiger witch wondering around out side of her world of the forest but this day was very different for her. Normally she would have spent most of her day napping in her home, much was the way of a tiger, but today she had been woken up by her adoptive child Annie. Annie demanded that Kali go with her to the witch realm and while Kali put up a very lazy fight in the end Annie got her way, like normal, and Kali left with her to the realm of the witches. Needless to say the only reason why Kali even bothered to go way because if Annie didn't get her way something of Kali's would get broken and she just didn't want to deal with that today. Kali really had no idea why her little Annie wanted to come to this place but she was the type of girl that always has to be on the move, and it was true that she had spent quite a few day cooped up in the forest with nothing for her to do. Kali walked along the streets as her little witch went off to do what ever it is she does. Kali didn't mind at all know that Annie could very well handle herself so she went off to look into some shops. It really had been a long time since she had been to this place and she remembered why she hated it so much. It was crowed and full of other witches and while Kali could get along with most of them she left better being left alone and speaking of being left alone she felt even more unconformable that she had to leave her tiger Shiva behind. It was very hard to fly a broom with a tiger on it. Kali had left a shop picking up some shiny things that she thought Annie would like when her ears suddenly began to hurt. She stopped walking and looked around for the noise not bothering to even cover her ear, it wouldn't have helped. Her golden eyes come up on a clocked something near the center of town. Her eyes, which are normally mostly shut, open wider with anger. What ever that this was it was bothering her ear and it if was bothering her ear then it was sure to be bothering her darling Annie's ears and a good mother would never let anything bother her precious child. She very calmly and coolly walked over to the strange being only to hear a very familiar voice. It was Zuri, one that Kali would call her sister. A grin passed over the tiger witches face as she approached from the back side of this thing. Her eyes went back to their normal look as she looked this thing over only really seeing it's talon feet. She gave a little laugh after hearing the annoyance in her 'sisters' voice. "Why my dear sister it seems that we have something interesting on our hands." Kali cocks her head to the side slowly walking around to get a better look at it stopping only when she is standing next to Zuri. "It seems that we may have a Kishin egg, or maybe a true Kishen on our hands or..." That awful grin passed over her face as one of her eyes opens slightly lager then the other one. "We may something completely different here, something new. What ever it is I hope it can talk and tells us what it wants and why it's here because it is very bold to just show up in the witches realm like this and make a very noisy entrance as well. Let hope for your sake, what ever you are, that you have something interesting to say." Kali was being very clam and collective right now.

Round round, run around, swirly twirly run around. Day and night. Light or fright. Super, duper, sugar heights! Yup. If this wasn't a sugar rush for the young girl, there was no such thing in this universe. The girl couldn't help it, though! The witch realm had some of the BEST sweets! It was made magically so, it was all the better for it! And the pretty shinies and toys there was all magic so, it was only natural that Annie would want it. Trading shinies for MAGIC shinies was so worth it. Of course, Kali was such a homebody, the little blue jay just HAD to drag her along. The tall giant goddess woman must have been clawing her eyes out in boredom having to spend the so long with that boring, ugly, smelly, rotten to the evil fur kitty that she pretended to dote on. Who could love a cat, after all?! Fluffy sure didn't, Fluffy wanted to tear it apart, though the feeling seemed mutual. It was only on Annie's word that Fluffy kept it's temper and place. The same went for the little witch, it was only on Mommy's word that Annie stayed her own hand against the cat. The only one that shall be spared! For now. Right now. The girl was focused on the giant ice cream sundae piled on with candy that laid before her.
Or, did. It was gone then and Annie ran off in a different direction entirely. It was like a big playground/candy store/toy store for her at this moment. KaliMommy? Who knew. Annie could hardly remember her own name, at this point. The sugar went straight to her brain and all it knew was it wanted more. More. More. More MORE! Greed and avarice accompanied the little girl at this moment. It was such a lovely time, to be perfectly honest. Nothing could be grander and her sticky countenance couldn't help but smile with a supreme cuteness about it. The day just didn't seem like it could have a dry patch in it at all, even if the clouds were to roll by (how dare they! They not invited), the blue jay's smile would surely drive them off. That or her winds. Definite possiblity either way.
Of course, SOMETHING just HAD to spoil the wonderful sugar rush high the child witch was on. Something SO annoying and bothersome. It was so LOUD and the young girl knew loud better than anyone else and that was a certain fact. Not thinking of altering the air to decrease the sound intact around her ears, the girl's hands shot to her ears in a failed attempt to block out the annoying sound, something the girl in the oversized hat was ALSO an expert at. Perhaps it didn't bother her quite so much as it might bother others for the truth was, in fact, Annie was a bird witch and she was used to the sounds that other, non-magical and witch birds made, however, the sound was loud enough to draw her ire.
The girl's body, from lack of movement, was literally shaking from having to stay put while the annoying noise raised it's tone within the city. It stopped and the fact that Annie had been knocked down a pedastal or two from the high due to the noise was evident. First order of business was to find the noise and kill it before it can interfere in the acquisition of sweets again. A whistle came from her lips and the broom came from nowhere, as if the wind were an obedient sentient being and knew how to obey it's master's call. The girl hopped up and sped in the direction she thought the noise came from...but it didn't work. However, Annie DID meet up with Mommy. Once more a smile spread across her lips in a curl.
"MOMMY! BAD NOISE STOP ANNIE! ANNIE KILL NOISE!"
Declared the small girl as she hopped from her broom and onto the much larger woman's shoulders, not even paying attention to anyone else. It took a moment to seat herself properly as she now found herself staring upside down at the mommy's face, with a worried, bothered, and more than unfocused expression.
"Goddessmommy kill noise too?! SWEETS!"
The girl inquired and then shouted, positioning up herself rightly before doing so. It was a failed attempt at stating the cause-and-effect of the situation. You kill the noise and THEN you get sweets. The girl focused herself with the tiger's raven hair, playing with it on top of her horsey and looking around. There was another woman there who Annie never knew. Still, there seemed to be an air of familiarity about her. If only there could be a moment or two of comprehension, but hey! Another person. Sniffing the air for magic wouldn't do any good since magic was everywhere here. It was all cloaked so who knew WHAT it was, probably just another weird witchy. The thought of the noise had successfully exited from her mind and now the girl wanted to know what was this new person who was so reclusive. Off the shoulders went Annie up to the new person, trying to get a good look under the hood to see if it was a witchy.
"WHAT YOU?! WITCHY?! CANDY???"
Inquired the little girl, once more too charged up to form complete thoughts (complete for her, at least) and a smile bright upon her face, brimming with excitement, hardly able to stay still for a moment as her small legs were nearly bouncing in place.

It wasn't a normal day that Cassandra would make an appearance in the witch's realm. In fact, she was very rarely there and it had been like that ever since the family issues she'd had. That was a very long time ago mind you and so she only really showed up when she needed something or there was a summons. It wasn't like she couldn't find the things that she needed in the human realm rather easily. Unless it was something that specific to the witch's realm.
It was its usual self and that was slightly boring. She had more fun running around with her pack after all but she didn't mind being around other witches. She, in fact, liked it as she liked to learn about their adventures and let's face it it was the only time she wasn't an attention whore. Although when she was with her pack she wasn't much of an attention whore either but that was because she was the Alpha female. She would never admit to being an attention whore though so there would be no point in pointing it out to her.
She had left them behind in some forest to run about and do their own pack things. She wasn't much of a fan of leaving them to their devices especially when she had gotten them hooked on the lovely taste of humans. She wasn't sure if she'd go back to where they were in the midst of them killing humans. Sure she was a witch and destruction was strangely fascinating but she liked to play these things out. Besides human meat was only supposed to be a treat for some celebration. They had had one a while ago and they weren't expecting any time soon.
The pinkette was distracted from her browsing of a shop by this high pitched noise. It was a horrendous noise and it made her clench at her ears with her hands. The hell was making all that noise and why would it even dare to do so! Didn't it know that she had sensitive ears!? Whatever it was it was terrible and it should feel terrible! She left the store in a huff and started to head to where she could hear the noise coming from. By the time that she got there though it had dissipated and she found herself standing among three other witches and some weird thing.
It was hard telling what it was exactly as it was not something she'd seen before. It was really weird looking and it obviously didn't look like it belonged in this realm. She approached the other three witches that were standing there observing it and placed a hand on her hip as she stared up at it. It was almost eerie looking but it didn't scare her if anything she was more than willing to submit it to some explosions. That would probably be delightful therapy for her after having such a terrible noise in her ears.
"You can't just stand there, love, and expect us to just take it, y'know?" Cassandra said only adding to what the other two witches had said to it.

It looked like the transportation had worked according to plan. Just by showing up multiple witches had arrived around it. That was a good start but it did leave a few things to be done. None of the witches knew what it was, not that they would regardless. Standing where it was the figure did not move as the witches gathered around it. Motionless it waited for them to approach and gather as close as they were willing to. If one looked closely it would even be difficult to see if the figure was even breathing. With the witches near enough it began to act.
In a quick movement its body twisted at an unnatural angle to stare directly into the little witch’s eyes. The blank white stare meeting the blue of the small witch for a moment before it quickly returned to the standing position. Craning its neck at again unnatural angles it looked at each of the other witches that had gathered in the same manner. Finished it stared blankly ahead into nothing as if thinking. None of the witches seemed to be what it was looking for but they would have to do for the time.
Stepping away from the witches the figure turned to face them all. Eyes remaining a blank white it stared them all down. Tapping a talon foot against the pavement the figure contemplated what its next course of action should be. It was supposed to inform the witches but it was unable to communicate directly with them so it needed to find an alternative. In an attempt it tried to tap in a rhythm that could get them to understand while waiting for the second part of the plan to start.

Zuri kept glaring up at the cloaked figure as her witch brethren gathered around. Kali was the first, and ti was certainly pleasant to see her. Kali was more of a sister than either of her true siblings that still lived were considering she’d never tried to kill her, at least not yet. It seemed they had the same idea, though. Zuri was more than willing to give the mysterious visitor a chance to explain themselves, but that all depended on what they had to say. Whatever it was, it didn’t seem to have a mouth, at least not one that she could see. That would be a bit of a problem, as her patience was already worn very thin by the near destruction of her hearing that had occurred earlier by its voice. Zuri was the only one allowed to cause possible harm via sound waves around here, and the fact that this thing had used her own magical medium against her had ticked her off to say the least.
Annie seemed at least interested in the situation. Something seemed a bit off about the young witch, but Zuri paid it no mind. If she wanted to get up in the thing’s face, so be it. She certainly wouldn’t be the one to save her if it suddenly grew a jagged maw and ate her. She was too angry to care at the moment, although it was interesting to see a new witch that she’d never seen before arrive on the scene. Not a single one of them appeared pleased with the thing’s antics. Whatever it was didn’t seem to care all that much. Crossing her arms, Zuri continued to glare daggers up at the thing,
“Well? Anything to say for yourself?”
Apparently not. Whatever it was did twist around at a rather strange angle to stare at Annie, though. If Zuri didn’t think she could deafen and bleed the thing herself, she may have found it creepy. Unnatural though it was, she still wasn’t ready to kill it yet, although she would love to see it in pieces. She vaguely wondered what its flesh would taste like before she heard the tapping. It took her a moment of glancing around before her eyes landed on the cloaked figure’s talons. Oh, so it was a bird. If that was the case, she wondered if Annie could figure out a way to speak with it, at least once she’d calmed down from whatever it was that had her so riled. Zuri raised an eyebrow at the creatures tapping and sighed,
“I don’t suppose any of you know Morse code?”
To be fair, Zuri didn’t know for sure that this was what this creature was trying to do, but it was her best guest. The other possibility was that it was still waiting for something, but for what she had no idea.

Kali stood there waiting for the thing to answer her and Zuri when she felt an all to familiar weight on her shoulders. Annie's face was suddenly in hers as she looked down at her. Kali couldn't help but smile sweetly at the child but quickly realized that she had gotten into sweets, maybe to many sweets. Kali casually watched as the tiny witch ran other to the thing and demeaned to know if it was a witch. This put the tiger witch on edge and her eyes barley moved from the child as an other unknown witch join the three. Kali could have honestly cared less about more witches and was hardly even paying any attention to Zuri standing next to her.
The moment the thing moved it's body in an unnatural way Kali's body twitched. Her hands contracted as she was getting ready to used a spell. If this thing touch Annie in any way Kali was going to be more then ready to attack it and kill it if necessary. She was a ferrous and dangerous mother. Her body did relax when it stepped away from the child.
The tiger witch looked her perplexed as it started to tap what could only be called it's feet. At Zuri's question Kali shock her head looking at the thing. "No I do not but I think I have an idea." Kali's golden eyes watch it for a few moment. She then walked over to the sugar high child and scooped her up into her arm. Kali took a free hand a cupped Annie's face making her look at her. It was going to be very difficult to keep her attention for more then a few moment.
"Annie dear listen to mommy for a moment. That thing over there is trying to communicate with us but it seems that it's can't speak our language. But you might be able to talk to it. I looks very bird like why don't you try singing to it as the little birdies do? Try your best and I promise that I will get you something very shinny." Kali did have the same thought as Zuri as she moves her hand away fro Annie's face and bribery was the best way to get threw to this child.

The young girl's mind was in a state of confusion and completely kerbobbled a hundred and ten percent at this very moment. There was an odd smell about this creature: death, magic, who knew! Everyone here smelled of that same odor to some extent, there was yet a witch to hit age five who had not at least had a desire to murder someone. The girl stared intently at the creature, trying to grasp a good hint or look underneath it's cloaked form, hoping to catch some sort of female countenance underneath and yet, the young witch's eyes saw not a single thing. It was clear that the sugar was certainly in her system as the girl's weak will power was all that was stopping her from bouncing all over the place from trying to stay still in one place more than a few moments when on such a sugar rampage. She wrinkled her cute little nose at the thing and waited, no other witches were due to appear from what went unnoticed around her, others talked, but nothing penetrated her hard head.
However, it was only then that something DID cause a sort of a shock and a slight jump, though who could REALLY tell, at the way she looked that she was about to jump out of her skin in the first place, when the creature twisted in a gross way that was SO uncute. And speaking of uncute, talk about UGLY! Annie couldn't help but give a big EWWWWWW as it turned away soon after revealing its ugly nature to the girl. Once the initial shock and horror factor wore off, the small girl found the entire situation to be quite humorous as she soon found herself pointing and laughing at the creature, it was so ugly and not cute. How could ANYONE stand to live like that was beyond her. Gosh, if she had been born UNCUTE, there really wouldn't be much point to life, would there? Not her life, of course, but everyone elses. If she wasn't so adorable as she was, everyone would be so miserable and distraught that the only thing there would have to be done was to kill everyone possible.
The jubilant entertainment of the young witch, however, was sadly cut short as something scooped her up. HOW DARE THEY! The girl balled up her fingers into a little fist and started to flail about, trying to hit something and often succeeding, kicking and punching her way through. Most people would have dropped the little girl immediately. Despite her small and seemingly frail form, hitting was something she was quite good for. And despite being as cute as she is and her heeled shoes being equally cute, they were HER shoes and were made extra strong to sustain her abuse on them. It was strange since they were so comfortable on her feet. This wasn't working, though. Something had to be done and of course, the best and most accurate thing that never let her done was, naturally, magic.
"BIRDIE BLUE! BIR---"
The little bird never even had a chance to finish, as a familiar touch brought her face to face with the one who was fortunate enough to be called her mother. The words the woman spoke had to take some time to be processed in her mind which was so filled with energy, like its owner, it could not stay in one spot for very long. However, shinies seemed to be the key password to allow her mind to decrypt the former words spoken. A great grin spilled over her face and gave her a wonderful thought. Shinies AND candy! Like she needed more of the latter, but in her mind she did.
"ANNIE SPEAK TO BIRDIE! Birdie UGLY! BUT ANNIE SPEAK! ANNIE GET CANDY TOO!"
Annie was hesitant that the creature was a BIRD. Birds are CUTE! Like Annie. That thing was NOT cute from what she saw. But for shinies and sweets, per her demand, it would be worth a simple try. Puckering her lips, the girl thought of the bird that most resembled the creature she was eye-to-eye with just moments ago. Being a bird, Annie did NOT like to stay in one place very often, so she had seen many a specie of bird. Recollecting what type of bird it looked most like, which took a few moments since it was not very easy, Annie begin to whistle and speak in a language that might be recognized by the creature. Bird languages were easy to her. Human language, that was a different story.

It would seem that her appearance hadn't gotten much of a response out of the other witches. If this wasn't the witches realm and they weren't witches it would have actually bugged her. She was almost perfectly fine with not getting attention when it came to other witches. She didn't much like the spot light as much in the witches realm as she did in the human realm and among the humans. They were a lot easier to get riled up besides there was nothing but females around and there was no fun in that. Males were the ones she got a kick out of getting attention from.
The small witch out of the three had decided to get up close and personal, which she had failed to notice when she had arrived. The thing that was standing there had deserved her attention far more than the smaller witch as she was kind of pissed at the thing. It had better explain itself before she went and sent it up in flames. It had a lot of nerve coming to the witches realm in such a manner. If it had hurt her ears then there was a good chance that the other three witches had shown up for the very same reason as her. To get to the bottom of that terrible, terrible noise it had made.
They all seemed to be giving it a chance to do something or even just to explain itself. The creature was given plenty of time to try to explain itself but all it wanted to use the time for wasn't that. It twisted its neck in an unnatural motion, which almost grossed her out a bit, to stare at the tiny witch that was looking at it. It didn't just stop there though as it continued to crane its neck in the same unnatural angle to look at the rest of them. Ugh, that was beyond creepy and she knew creepy as a witch.
The movement made her hand twitch and she wanted desperately to just use a little spell on it. Just to show it where it was and who it was messing with. It stopped craning its neck at the three of the older witches and stepped back from them. She stared at it for a second or so before they wondered down to its feet or rather talons. The clicking noise that they were making had made it to her ears and she stared at it tapping away in disbelief. So this thing couldn't communicate regularly?
The pinkette looked over at the darker skinned witch when she said something about any of them knowing morse code. Was that how it was trying to communicate? Hell if she knew and hell if she knew any morse code either. She couldn't understand bird things since she was more of a wolf person anyway. She was the only one that didn't know how to understand morse code though as the other older witch said she had no idea though she did seem to have an idea apparently.
"Nope. I don't have a clue what its trying to communicate." Cassandra piped in just so it was clear that she didn't know morse code either.
She paid close attention to what the witch who had spoken before her went on to do next. She picked up the smaller witch and started to tell her that if she tried to communicate with the creature thing then she'd reward her. The girl seemed to struggle in her arms for a few minutes but it was when she heard that she might get candy out of helping her that she stopped or that's what it looked like to her. She did as she was asked and started to whistle in a what she could only assume to be bird language. She wasn't sure since she was more of a wolf whisperer than a bird one but it sounded rather pretty. She hoped that this worked otherwise they still wouldn't know what it was saying and she might have to use her explosions to help them.

Unfortunately none of the witches seemed to understand the figure’s message. It wasn’t that big of a deal as long as it could stall for time. Giving up on tapping out a message it waited for the witches to come up with some other plan. The one witch tried to at least attempt to decipher its message but none of them could figure it out. A valid attempt but it wouldn’t get them very far. The creature was somewhat amused at seeing what the group of witches could come up with. Maybe they could manage an idea that might work, or at the least their deliberations would help it stall for time.
The more surprising thing was that none of them had attacked it yet. The magic from a spell could be of use in its mission. Well what was the next witch planning? Oh so the plan was to use the little witch to talk to it. They seemed to be missing the point but it would work in its favor regardless. It could understand them fine but they could not speak to it. Having the little witch try to speak to it would serve as a great time waster though.
So the little witch tried to communicate with it. Well the little witch was some type of bird witch it seemed. That was interesting and may be of interest for the future. It could understand her whistling but had no way of communicating back to her. Waiting the figure rocked back and forth while the witches tried their plans. Staring at the little witch the figure remained as it was, unblinking, while she attempted to speak to it. Soon it would be able to respond if everything continued according to plan. Just a little bit longer and the plan could begin.
”Commence stage two.”
The figure seemed to shake slightly as the command was given. Only it could hear the mental command and it responded after a momentary delay. The witches gathered would only be alerted that something was happening as they heard a new sound come from the creature. From the creature the sound of skin being torn apart could be heard. The noise grew in intensity and took on a distinct wetness before the cause was revealed. The cloaked figure opened a newly formed mouth at a very nonhuman angle as a black sludge fell out.
With the gooey sludge sizzling against the ground the figure took a few jagged breaths before opening its mouth impossibly wide, and screaming. A sound like nails on a chalkboard, bones being ground together, and birds screaming erupted out of its mouth. As the noise flowed over the witch city the figure simply stood and screamed with its mouth nearly dividing its head in half. Along with the painful noise of the scream there was a strong wavelength of magic as well as madness. The sound would affect the witches differently depending on their resistance but there was one constant that it would bring, indescribable pain.

Asking Annie to try and communicate with the thing did seem like a good idea, especially since no one seemed to be able to decifer what exactly it was trying to tap to them. The hwole situation was just highly irritating. The longer it dragged out, the more irate Zuri became. Why oculdn’t they just beat the message out of the damned thing? That would be far more fun. Sure it was bigger than them, but it was also outnumbered. Four Witches against one giant creepy bird thing. Zuri thought those odds sounded pretty good. If only she had her clan with her, then Zuberi and Asha could have joined in on the fun.
Annie and her seemed to be sharing a somewhat similar mindset as she’d been in the midst of one of her chants before Kali told her of the idea of trying to commune with the strange creature. Zuri would have loved to see how the little Witch’s spell fared against it, but she supposed that may still occur depending on whether she got through to it or not. Watching as Annie began to whistle to whatever the cloaked thing was, Zuri crossed her arms and let out a heavy sigh. This was all quite aggravating. The sooner it was over the better and then she could go back home to her Savannah and her hyenas. She hated running about without them, it made her feel far too vulnerable.
However the rather peeved look on her face vanished when the creature began to shake. What in the world was it doing? Had Annie gotten through to it? A familiar sound reached Zuri’s ears, then, and she was instantly on edge, looking up to the blue-clad Witch,
“Annie dear, get away from it!”
Zuri still didn’t see a change in the thing, but she didn’t trust it. The Witch of laughter even took a step back for good measure. She wasn’t afraid, merely cautious. Still, the source of the sound was soon plainly visable. Her eyes widened at the sight, not at all sure what to make of it,
“Yale ya kuzimu?” ((What the hell?))
The Witch didn’t often lapse into her mother tongue, but this appeared to be one of those special cases. The angle of the things mouth was just wrong every way she thought about it, and the black sludge that oozed from the newly torn cavity was ten different kinds of unnerving. It breathing was ragged although it didn’t waste much time with such a thing. Zuri watched in disgust as the thing twisted its mouth open to a point where its head was nearly divided in half before it let out a terrible scream. It wasn’t just sound, oh no, she could feel powerful magic and madness being carried behind it. The Witch of laughter covered her ears and snarled, closing her eyes. Not this again! It felt like tiny needles were being pressed against her eardrums and her hands did nothing to block out the terrible racket. She could feel the madness eating at her mind but she growled, forcing herself to resist. She’d had enough of all this. Opening her eyes and glaring up at the thing, she muttered to herself more than to anyone else,
“I’ll show you to use my own medium against me!”
With her face contorting in a mixture of pain and fury, Zuri slowly dropped her hands from her ears. She’d like nothing better than to use her most powerful spell against it, try to cause as much damage as possible but she couldn’t risk that just yet. The drawback for it was severe, and it would be better if she could challenge the noise it was making and that was the plan she went with as she whispered her chant,
“Hy-ena, hy-ena, hy-ena humor.”
Unable to block out the terrible screams, she giggled all the same with a forced smile on her face. The sound of her laughter would reverberate off the ground, the other Witches, the building, and amplify. Whether it would drown out the terrible screaming she didn’t know, but it was her only plan to get the creature to shut up. If that didn’t work, then she’d use the only real attack spell she knew, drawbacks be damned. She would see that thing bleed yet.

Kali was glad to see that her bribery worked on the little bird witch, she knew it would. Annie was chirping at the thing but it didn't seem to respond. This was starting to become quite bothersome for the Tiger witch and she could see out of the corner of her eye that Zuri was feeling the same way. Then again the hyena witch did move around a lot for then the tiger witch and maybe she was just getting antsy. When Zuri called out to Annie it put the tiger witch on edge again. Had she seen something about this creature that Kali didn't? Kali started at the thing for a good moment.
Only to take a step away from it when a mouth suddenly ripped open. She was ready for that nor was she expecting it at all. The tiger witch looked disgusted that the ooze coming from it and could only wounder how it did that. Nothing about this seemed right and nothing seemed natural about this this. Then the noses came. Kali covered her ears again but this was far worse then last time. This scream got down and into her skin, into her mind. She closed her eyes bending over still covering her ears. "No make it stop." She muttered thought it was unheard because of the scream.
Kali was trying to calm herself. She liked to think of her self as a rather calm and collected witch making sure that nothing could bring out her madness. But the noise was getting into her head ripping away at her stable foundation. Everything around her was falling apart in her mind and spinning out of control. The screams! The scream where to much for her. It brought her back to a time and a place that she didn't want to be. She could hear them all of them dyeing around her again, not being able to save them again.
She mind broke and her eyes shot open, wide open. "SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!" She was screaming and now that laughing was filling her ears, well that didn't help the now crazed witch. Laughing! They where laughing now! She couldn't, she wouldn't take it. "Panthera tigris tigris!" There was a reasons why she wore clothing that had so much cloth. Her muscles bulged out and had she been wearing anything else the cloth would have ripped. She lunged at the thing grabbing it by the top of it's head slamming it into the ground, cracking the ground under it. "SHUT UP SHUT UP!!" Again and again she picked the head up and slammed it into the ground. The once clam witch had lost her composer and all she wanted to do was kill the noise at any cause.

The creature screamed while completely ignoring the witches. It could care less about what they did as long as it was following orders. If all things went as planned the witches would do what they needed to and its master would be satisfied. The main question was would the witches do what it wanted? Most likely they would fall right into the plan as if they were aware what the plan was. In that case the main question would be which witch would be the first to take the bait? Only time would tell who would win that honor.
And the winner was the hyena witch! She was the one who used a spell first out of the gathered witches. If they had only done this a moment before maybe there would have been some kind of positive effect for them. As he laughter reached the figure there would be a noticeable shift in the scene. Firstly the screaming would get louder and higher in pitch, causing the witches more of an assault on their eardrums. Secondly Zuri would feel a distinct fogginess spread through her head almost as if something inside her was being drained empty, because it was.
Well not empty but her magic was being drained out of her body and fed into the creature, which in turn used her magic to scream louder. It was a vicious cycle that would have continued until Zuri had been completely drained of magic if not for the fortunate interruption. Kali attacking the creature would have done something but she made quite the fatal mistake, she attacked it with magic. At the moment that she touched the creature her head would begin to feel fuzzy as it drained her of her magic. Ironically enough this caused its screams to become louder and more high-pitched.
After the first time Kali slammed it into the ground though there would be a change. Upon impact a crack could be heard from the creature even as it continued to scream even louder in Kali’s face with its unnaturally wide mouth. With each successive slam more cracks could be heard until there was a distinct pop. Never stopping the scream the creature instantly burst apart. The entirety of its body turning into the same black sludge it had released earlier. As Kali slammed it into the ground the sludge that was once the creature splattered over the tiger witch’s body, and instantly began to sear into her flesh.
Splattering from her face to her feet the sludge attached to the witch and burned into her skin while draining her of magic. At least the screaming had stopped but the event was far from over. Finishing its job of draining the tiger witch of easily over half of her magic and burning painful black patches over the front of her body the ooze shook violently and exploded.
Kali was sent flying into the air, only to come crashing down behind the gathered assembly of witches. Where she had been the ooze vibrate to some unknown frequency and flowed around in a circle. In the center a soul appeared, a soul characterized by the chaotic mess of crimson that filled it. The ooze reached up and covered the soul, twisting and turning in the process as it grew to the height of the tiger witch. In her place stood a figure of a featureless man made entirely up of black ooze. Looking at the witches a pair of red eyes appeared and a generic face formed on the otherwise featureless figure.
”Oh what’s this? It looks like you broke my toy earlier than I calculated. Haven’t any of you heard of don’t kill the messenger?”
From the clearly masculine figure the voice of Kali came out of the mouth, creating a dissonance between the figure and what it was saying. The figure smirked at the witches as he surveyed them with erratic crimson eyes. Standing with feet together and arms behind his back he stared at each of the witches in turn before continuing to speak.
”No matter, in the end you did exactly as I thought you would. I’ll be sure to take the appropriate notes on this encounter.”
The figure then stood still with the only movement coming from the red eyes, it was like the ooze or whatever was speaking to the witches had put them on hold and went to do something else.

It wasn’t working! Hell, if anything her spell was doing nothing but making the stupid thing scream louder! Zuri gradually worked through her fit of giggles, covering her ears as best she could as the sounds of her laughter were overpowered by the hideous shrieks that the cloaked figure was letting out. Her face contorted in pain and fury. What the hell was she supposed to do now? She’d rather not use her most powerful spell, but from where she stood it may have been the only way to possibly out shriek the damned thing, or better yet, harm it.
Zuri then of course noticed that something wasn’t exactly right. Her head felt heavy and her mind felt like she was trying to sort out her thoughts through a fog. Grumbling, she swayed slightly and glared up at the creature. Was it doing this? How? Sudden fatigue getting the best of her, the witch fell to her knees, hands still clamped over her ears as her only defense against the shrill screaming. Through the assault on her eardrums, she could hear Kali chanting a spell and watched with interest as she went after the thing. Of all the witches present, she honestly hadn’t expected the tiger witch to be the one to snap, but there she was. Zuri made a note to never piss her off.
The witch of laughter grinned as the cloaked figure burst apart after Kali slammed it into the ground. Excellent, now that damned screaming was finally over and done with. However the grin on Zuri’s face dropped as soon as she saw the black ooze latch onto Kali and being to sear her flesh. She tried to stand only to find herself still very dizzy. She was back on her knees in an instant, holding onto her head and squinting as the world spun just a tad off-kilter for her,
“Kali!”
She wanted to help her; Kali was one of the few Zuri called a friend. But what could she do? Nothing. She was too dizzy and weak to even stand up, not to mention if she tried to pull the sickening goo off of the tiger witch, she’d probably only succeed in getting it stuck to herself as well and that wouldn’t solve anything. Trying her best to look irate rather than sleepy, she stared at the soul that now hung in the air over the pile of black ooze that sat where Kali had felled the cloaked creature. As the disgusting stuff began to reform itself, Zuri let out a low growl. If that thing reassembled itself and started screaming again, she didn’t know what she’d do.
Thankfully it formed into something else, a man, albeit no man in particular. It was just a simple figure, staring out at the group with red eyes. When it spoke, Zuri raised an eyebrow. Was her fatigue giving her hallucinations now? Now, that was certainly Kali’s voice. What in the world was this thing? Don’t shoot the messenger? How cute. Zuri snarled at the figure, still managing to look quite peeved even though it was a chore to keep her eyes open,
“You’re one to talk; you attacked us first with that hideous screaming!”
That fucking smirk. If she’d been certain that her legs would carry her and that the black ooze that formed the figure wouldn’t have burned her, Zuri would have run up and knocked it sideways and then possibly stomped upon it just for good measure. Alas she was airing on the side of caution, and in her current state standing up didn’t seem like a good idea. Her head still felt fuzzy, and she could feel she was swaying a bit, even though she was kneeling. More important was what this thing was and what the hell it was talking about. Sounding more exhausted than angry, Zuri snapped at it,
“Who are you? What was the point of all this?”
