[Even though he's a transfer, there's nothing to transfer over with him.]
Artele; Nero;Weapon
Name: Artele, Nero (hates his name, doesn't tell anyone, usually)
Nickname: Fratello (most people don't even know his real name)
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Race: Weapon (Demon Whisk)
Position: Student
Class: One-star
Partner: N/A
A Strong Body
Picture:
His small soul
Oversoul thing
Appearance:
The first thing people would usually notice about Nero is the white umbrella cockatoo that seems glued to his shoulder. She has red eyes and knows she's beautiful.
Nero, himself, looks like the kind of person you would probably avoid during the daytime at a grocery store, much less at night in a dark alley. A constant scowl seems to be stuck to his face, despite his attempts at looking approachable. However, his forced smile is kind of scary, like, mafia scary. True smiles are rare in his case. The only person to ever really see one was Michael and his daughter. His eyes are gold with a red tint around the iris that bleeds into the gold a little. Normally, his hair is dark brown, but in the sun, it turns auburn. His hair tends to stay in front of his eyes, which he doesn't mind, except for when he's cooking. To keep his hair from getting in the food, he'll keep it back with a headband. Normally his hair is quite a mess, but it suits him.
Moving lower, his shoulders are broad and built like his arms from having to learn street fighting and hold swords. His chest is toned and stomach firmed to the beginnings of a six-pack. Though, due to his relatively shy/conservative nature and scars, he isn't comfortable with letting people see him bare chested. In and out of school, what he wears doesn't change much. He has a tendency to wear more formal attire, like dress pants, a dress shirt, tie (red, usually), and a suit jacket. Most of his collared shirts have a fancy "F" printed on one of the undersides, usually the left side. During colder weather, he sports thicker (and often more casual) clothes. He hates the cold. The only criteria his clothes have to follow, is they must be easy to move around in.
Height: 5' 6"
Weight: 132 lbs
Fighting Style: By himself- Savate (euro-kickboxing)
Inside the Soul
Weapon form:
Weapon
Much to his constant embarrassment, he's a whisk. From tip to tip, not including the braided tassel, he's about 5 feet long, the handle being about half a foot shorter than the tines. Not some badass whisk with blades as the tines, just an industrial style whisk with a tassel on the end of the handle. He does, however, have a ripcord on the side. Pulling this as if he were a chainsaw starts a motor which makes the top half spin rapidly. This is good for blocking attacks or making a very large cake. Or if you can catch a limb in it while it's spinning, it's good for breaking bones or tearing off limbs. However, if Nero spends too much time spinning, he'll have a bit of trouble gaining his balance and composure for a while after changing back into human form.
Partial form:
Nero can turn his arm past the elbow, his hand, or a finger into a whisk. This helps with cooking.
Abilities: None.
Personality:
Despite his less-than-average height, Nero doesn't have a complex and he doesn't get angry at being called short or a shrimp. Getting into fights or arguments over something as small (lol) as that would be meaningless. He wants to stay away from that as much as possible. If he's having trouble reaching something, he's quite resourceful and will find things to stand on. If there isn't anything, he'll calmly ask for help.
At first glance, Nero is a simple guy, content with spending most of his time in a kitchen and playing with his bird (I was thinking of putting cockatoo, but both sound bad, so I chose the least of the gutter words), Bianca. He doesn't mind company, but too many people make him anxious and sometimes may send him into a panic. Nero also has a fear of meisters, due to his history with them. It'll take a lot for a meister to gain his trust.
He tends to stay quiet, mostly because he likes to listen to music and has headphones in his ears whenever he has the chance. Though, very rarely, you can catch him humming along in public, and it becomes very noticeable if Bianca decides to try and sing along. If one was to get to know him, they would learn of his friendly, almost childish, shy personality. Though, quite often, if he's nervous, he'll start blabbering in italian.
He's a very sweet, compassionate, sometimes witty guy who finds that food is the best way to break the ice, if he's ever the one to try and break it (which is almost never). The more friends the merrier is his to-be-motto as soon as he's able to get over his shyness. His favorite thing to do is make new recipes. Getting opinions is a bit hard sometimes, as he leaves whatever he makes in an obvious place and sticks around to see people reactions.
When it comes to people older than himself, he's wary and more introverted. Most of the adult figures in his life didn't care much for his wellbeing, so it left a bad taste in his brain. He doesn't mean to, but to a "teacher", he often acts angry towards them and is extremely untrusting. Respect for teachers is on the same level as being held at gun point. Cool story, yeah?
Even so, despite his scary face, he wants friends and to be able to interact calmly with people. He just doesn't know how to go about doing it.
Resonances: None.
Special Notes: While in his whisk form, if the tassel on the end of the handle is pulled, the tines will separate at the top and pull apart like an opening hand. When the tassel is released, the tines will close, potentially around the target. This is useful for grabbing an enemy to cause disorientation or something.

Aspirations:
Having been sheltered from the world for a good chunk of his life, Nero has not learned enough about himself or the world to know what he wants to do or where he wants to be.
History:
Nero was born into a family of meisters, and there was a certain hierarchy in his family. A meister was the top of the food chain, then it was people without abilities, and then weapons. Weapons were tools for the meisters to use and throw away once they got bored or the weapon stopped performing well. It was even more embarrassing for the family to have the only weapon born into their family be something useless in a fight. A kitchen tool, and not even a frequently used kitchen tool, like a spatula (which could be used to mega-slap an enemy).
For seven generations, the whole family had lived on one estate. It was like a city, a large expanse full of houses and larger mansions. The larger mansions housed the meisters of the family. They were given plenty of room for training. There had been only one weapon before Nero, but he ran away. His body, having been killed by a witch, was found, but that was years before Nero was even born. This event strengthened the families arguments that weapons were nothing without a meister and couldn't take care of themselves.
His childhood consisted of being used by his siblings as the teachers tried to train meisters to withstand the rejection of a weapon or in mock fights when there was a meister that he didn't reject. This was done with no regard to Nero's wellbeing. As he became more aware of right and wrong and that he could defy his teachers, he began to rebel. Running and hiding was all he could do, and he became very good and it.
In one of his running and hiding moments, he found an older man, someone who wasn't a meister or a weapon. He took pity on Nero and taught his ways to defend himself, cause even though he was good at hiding, he'd eventually be found or have to come out from hiding, and his punishment was to be beaten by the younger meisters. At least by those who were able to hold him down. He was taught savage, a type of kick boxing that was often used as the base for street fighting.
The more time he spent with the man, the more he learned about his family. He was called Michael and he had a daughter. His wife had died giving birth to his daughter, so it was only him and a little 5 year old girl living in their house. the little girl had already taken a liking to him, and to her, he was Fratello, her brother. Michael offered Nero a room, but he couldn't say yes. The head of the family and the older meisters were already suspicious and if they found out that Nero was spending so much time learning from him, they'd have him thrown out of the estate and disowned. He couldn't put them through that. As much as he loved coming to this house and hearing his name called without malice or the knowledge that there was pain coming, he began staying away from them.
An accident during a sparring match left Nero with a broken leg and a deep gash down the left side of his ribcage. Helped along only by adrenaline, he made it to the Michael's house and was treated. Michael confronted the head of the family and defended Nero's rebellion. As a result, Michael and his daughter were disowned by the family and told to give Nero to the family doctor who would treat him further. There was nothing else to do. Nero wouldn't be able to handle traveling in his condition, and the family would more than likely send someone to retrieve him if Michael tried to take him.
A year later, Nero, having been broken mentally, was no longer his rebellious self. He let himself be used, and his wounds treated, but he never ran to hide. An event in the main house, to which only meisters were invited, gave Nero a day off. he spent the day exploring his old hiding spots, most too small for him now, despite being very short. A small mailbox sat in front of the house he remembered fondly. On closer inspection, something white caught his eye, sticking out just barely. Upon opening the mailbox, letters flooded out, all from the same person. The letters were all pretty much the same, asking him how he'd been, if he was recovering, how tall he had gotten and how smart Gina, now 6, had become. Every letter had a small, messily written P.S. from Gina.
"Fratello!
Quando hai intenzione di visitare? Mi manchi!
(When are you going to visit? I miss you!)
~Gina"
A phone number was always included, and Nero wasn't going to let this chance slip away. One of the letters was dated just a few days ago, and it said that they were visiting the area again. A call strengthened his resolve to leave the estate. He immediately went to the head of the family, despite not being allowed at the event, and announced his desire to be disowned. He defeated those who challenged his desires, using savate and his whisk arm. He broke bones and threw aside those in his way, and left.
He met Michael and Gina a few miles from the estate and cried for the first time in a long time. As soon as he was able to get his arms around them, he didn't let go for a while. An oddly shaped present was pushed into his arms, Gina giggling excitedly. He tore the paper away and found a small white puff of feathers. A baby cockatoo with red eyes in a cage. It chirped and clicked at him and fluffed itself at him, making him smile. He took the bird from the cage and placed it on his shoulder where the tiny claws helped it keep balance. The bird, Bianca, would remain here for the remainder of her life. The next year was mainly a road trip, exploring new lands and cultures before Nero decided he was ready to be around other people. Thus started his journey to Death Academy.

The only light on in the kitchen was the one over the stove. Evening was upon the country side and more lights would soon be turning on. For now, Nero was too busy making dinner and dessert. Tonight was a fish stew, simmering as it had been for the past hour on the stove, with rosemary biscuits. For dessert, there was flan chilling in the fridge. It was Michaels birthday and Nero promised Gina that he would do something special for her daddy.
"Fratello? La cena è pronto? (Is dinner ready?)" Little Gina peaked her head into the kitchen, taking a deep whiff of the delicious smells wafting through the room. She had dressed herself in her favorite yellow sundress, blue flowers decorating the bottom trim of the dress. Her blue mary-jane shoes were on the wrong feet, but for now, she didn't seem to mind. Her hair was up in pigtails, the same ones Nero had den for her that morning. They needed some touching up, but that would be easy.
"Quasi. (Almost.)" Nero put the wooden spoon down and went over to his adoptive little sister. Compared to him, she was dressed to meet the president. He didn't want to mess up any of his nice clothes while he was cooking, so a pair of ripped jeans and a casual t-shirt was all he wore under his apron. In a quick motion, she was in his arms, held gently so she could see what he was making, "Volete provare un po? (Want to try a little?)"
He carefully blew at a spoonful of stew to make sure it was cool enough for her, then watched as she sipped at the spoon before chomping down on the clumps of fish and vegetables.
"Prelibato, Fratello! (Delicious!)" She giggled and wiggled excitedly, unable to wait calmly for it to be ready.
(Dialogue in [--] is spoken in italian.)
The front door opened and closed and the light in the kitchen was flipped on, "[I'm home, Nero, Gina!]"
"[Welcome home, father, how was work?]" Nero put Gina back on the floor and walked to his adoptive dad, wrapping an arm around his shoulder, "[Dinner is just about ready, would you bring out the wine?]"
The dinner was delicious as always, and after a while, a few close friends arrived to celebrate the birthday. The night finished with another glass of sweet wine and a story to send Gina to bed with. Cleaning the kitchen could wait until the morning.
