An active morning, at least in Kai's perspective.
His ordinary routine of reading the morning away would have take a pause. The day was still anew leaving the streets rather void and peaceful to Kai's pleasure. He hadn't been to these parts since his arrival, midday seemed like a zoo in comparison. With all of his reading material gone through, a trip to the book store was in need. If only he could navigate these parts it would be an easy task. But this was a learning curb as well getting familiar with the area is something he wanted to do anyway, so two birds with one stone as they say.
He came upon a corner, a faint noise came in the distance a familiar instrument could be heard, a beautiful tune and notes flew about growing his interest. Across the street stood what appeared to be a little cafe, a bite to eat wouldn't be so bad though the music was what really dragged him in. He couldn't decipher the song from this distance, from what he could make out it was on the softer side with a slow pace. How wonderful.
Making his way to the cafe catching a better look, a closed sign hung over the door. Kai couldn't help peering through one of the windows, curiosity killed the cat came to his head and with his luck he'd better hope no cats were around. Stood on top of a small stage area, a well sized black piano. A silent streak went on from when he looked in, no one could be seen from his position. Kai shrugged assuming he missed whatever was going on and was about to start back on his book hunt.
"Ding." The bell clanked and the door opened. Kai turned to see a male who seemed to be in his twenties. They stared at each other till the man spoke. "Sorry we aren't quite open yet, come back soon." A baritone voice to match his appearance, his tone was welcoming though easing him. Kai placed his hand on the back of his head and replied. "T-the piano had caught my attention is all, haven't played one since back at home." Kai spoke quietly as he did on first encounters. The man seemed interested after that, he pondered on something for a moment and then made an odd request or at least Kai thought it was. "Ah, you enjoyed my testing did you? Do you play, I'm short a pianist for today and maybe you could fill in?" Before Kai had anytime to react he was brought in and sat at the piano with a book of sheet music.
His face was had grown slightly red, his skills weren't at a professional level but sitting here again did remind him of home. His memory was well enough to almost memorize a few pieces he mastered over the years, one in fact more then the rest. His finger lay on the keys and took a deep breath, and let the melody take him over.
