Misha had complimented Gardenia; a natural, he said. Kind of him to say, but she knew well enough that it had went over with more difficulties and conditions than most Shibusen students had to deal with. At least, those who were in EAT classes. But it was still a comfort that she was compatible with someone.
Gardenia crossed her arms in front of her stomach, as she listened to the boy's question. She knew what he wanted to ask before he actually said anything. She just... wasn't sure. About a lot of things. Misha didn't need a partner who was so uncertain. He was still new to the academy; he could find someone else more enthusiastic. Someone who could match up with him better than she could.
But, what if he couldn't? She herself had been waiting oh so very long for for a partner. Would she inadvertently condemn Misha to the same stand-still she's dealt with in an effort to do what's best for him?
And it wasn't as if though Gardenia was adverse to partnering with Misha. He was nice, friendly, upbeat. He respected her. And his weapon form? More... intense, than she first thought it might have been. It would never have been her first choice, but now that she had tested it out, she was rather curious about its intricacies.
And, when would she even get another chance to find another partner, if she turned Misha down?
She needed to get out of the NOT classes, she thought to herself. She couldn't do that alone. Misha couldn't do that alone. It didn't have to be a permanent arrangement, their partnership. They could actually test the waters first. Take their time. Maybe they'd find better opportunities for themselves later, but now? Now, and together, was as prime a time and situation as any to step on forward.
After a brief moment of silence between them, a smile grew on Gardenia's face. "I'm inclined to agree with that, Misha." She said in respone to him stating they worked beautifully together. "And I think we have plenty of work ahead for us, " she said, implying an affirmative. "I look forward to it."
