Moores; Ivor; Weapon
Name: Ivor Moores
Nickname: Hahaha no
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Race: Weapon
Position: Student
Class: One Star
Partner: N/A
A Strong Body
Picture:
Appearance: Ivor’s appearance could be described as either rather charming or rather creepy. While his complexion is near perfect, his skin is very pale, making him look a bit sickly. This paleness is greatly contrasted by his raven black hair, which has some white dyed streaks scattered throughout it. The hair is rather messy, the ends parting in spikes. At the back of his head is a messy ponytail, held together by a gold ribbon. Ivor’s eyes are the same colour as this ribbon. Though being awfully tall, Ivor has next to no muscle or fat mass. He’s very slender and not much more than skin and bones. Under his eyes there are almost always dark rings, suggesting lack of sleep.
Much like his personality, the clothes Ivor wears are pretty eccentric. At all times Ivor wears a black, pinstriped suit. The lapels are outlined with white, and in the middle of them are crosses in the same colour white. The coat is rather long, reaching to about his knees in points. The inside of coat is lined with red silk, the same colour red as the striped vest worn under that. Under that vest is a white collared shirt. A chain necklace is hung around Ivor’s neck. On his shoulders are clothes that are cut into triangles, cut into them are more crosses. But perhaps oddest of all of Ivor’s outfit is the red split cape that he wears. It hangs from his shoulders and reaches to his ankles. The cape is just short enough to not drag on the ground.
Height: 6’1”
Weight: 148lbs
Fighting Style: The easy answer here is for Ivor to send his millions of adoring fans to do his fighting for him. If only life were that easy. Ivor isn’t really the fighting sort of person, and will generally try to avoid it. That being said, if forced to fight he’ll generally try to stall out the enemy. He kind of has to, seeing as he’s awfully weak and not particularly good with any weapons. Ivor will attempt to tire his enemies out before going in for a fatal hit. Because of this, he much prefers long ranged combat to close ranged.
Personality: Ivor has quite a few oddities to him. Though he probably wouldn’t be defined as the strangest person by most people, that doesn’t make him any more run of the mill. He tends to talk a lot, most of the time talking to himself. Most of Ivor’s thoughts are said aloud. After all, why shouldn’t everyone be graced with his lovely thoughts and voice?
If defining his thoughts as “lovely” did not tip you off, Ivor is rather confident. Of his own abilities, mind. He has next to no confidence in the people around him, how dare such a thing even be implied. No, Ivor believes just about everyone to be inadequate when compared to himself. Because of this, he judges others based almost completely on their appearance. Pretty people might just earn his affection (though probably not).
"Mean" is probably also a good way to describe Ivor. He has no care for the feelings of others, and therefore has no problem with mocking them. Generally Ivor doesn't even realize he's mocking people. He simply states thing as he sees them, and when it comes to people he seems to see their negative aspects before their positive ones. That'd probably be a good reason for people not liking him.
Ivor is rather intelligent. Generally speaking, he understands the most complex issues almost immediately. He’s good at solving problems. Of course, Ivor doesn’t really like to work. Because of this, he might simply not put a plan into motion because he can’t be bothered, despite having carefully thought it out. Of course, if someone else wishes to put his plans in motion he’d be more than happy to explain it to them. This is provided they are trusted, as Ivor will automatically assume anyone he does not know well will mess his plans up in some horrific way.
Inside the Soul
Weapon form: Ivor’s weapon form is that of a magic wand, and a quite fancy one at that. The wand isn’t all that long, being just 11.3 inches, and is also awfully thin. The handle, being the widest part on the weapon, has a radius of 0.6 inches. In length, the handle reaches 4 inches. The weapon extends to a point after the handle. Attached to either side at the start of the handle are suede leather wing designs, which are just a bit shorter than the handle, reaching a length of 3.6 inches.
Similar to his outfit, Ivor’s weapon form doesn’t have much colour to it, mostly being comprised of greys and reds. The handle is a dull, almost grey, brown. The wings are black on the outside, and red on the inside. The rest of the weapon is very light grey, almost white.
Sketch
Partial Form: On Ivor’s right hand, his index and middle finger transform to the long part of the wand, being the same length as it normally is. This can be used the same way the full weapon can be, however is a heck of a lot weaker.
Abilities: Being a hagspawn, Ivor has a minimal amount of magical ability. This magic can only be used if he is either in his partial form or his full weapon form. Just like his mother, Ivor’s magic theme is that of sciomancy. That would be the divination through shadows. He has an affinity for ravens, that technically being his animal familiar.
Nether Nova: Currently, the only thing Ivor can do with this is projectile attacks of dark energy, which extends from the tip of the wand until it hits something. The tip of the projectile is pointed like a spear, and can be used to impale weak objects or un-armoured beings. The projectile isn’t very fast, so some planning is in order to actually hit the target. The range of the attack is about three feet, and doesn't take all that long to recharge (about one post). During recharge time, the meister will have to improvise as this is currently the only use his weapon has.
Resonances: N/A
Out of your Mind
Strengths: Flexible Intelligent High Stamina
Quite good at sloppy makeouts
Weaknesses: Physically Weak Low Endurance Lack of Combat Skills
Hobbies: Ivor really doesn’t do much in his free time. Generally he reads books or day dreams. Movies have never particularly appealed to him, as he constantly finds himself nitpicking almost every aspect of any given film. Going outdoors has never appealed to him, and people tend to not be worthy of his presence, so Ivor is quite the shut in. That would be the reason for his pale skin.
If Ivor ever decided to leave his room and actually communicate with other human beings, he does enjoy a good card game or two. Normally ones that he can bet money on and vanquish his foes. He’s quite good at these games, which is good because he’s an awfully sore loser.
Likes: Adoration Being left alone People with good skillsets Being spoiled
Dislikes: Morons People who think they are better than him Bright lights Having to do things that are tedious (And really things that take effort in general)
Aspirations: World domination. Ivor has few goals already planned. He more thinks of things he wants on the spur of the moment. For now, Ivor would like to be known throughout all of Shibusen as the most powerful weapon in all of existence! A quite humble goal, really. Other than that, find a partner who is worthy of his presence, and also acquired many friends who worship the very earth he stands on.
History: All things considered, Ivor lived a decently normal life. This was because his mother attempted to remove him from all connections to the Witch society. Though she wasn’t the best at this, as Ivor did come into contact with other witches on a few occasions, she did try. She would still attend the witch's rituals and do as she was asked, as to not draw suspicion to herself. Anyone who did find out were begged and begged to not tell the higher-ups. Since she was generally well liked and the witches who did find out were her friends (And honestly didn't care all that much) that ended up working out for now.
Ms. Cordelia Moores. That was his mother’s name. His father’s name? Ivor couldn’t tell you. He had never met the man, and only even knew he existed due to the stories his mother told of him. Apparently he was an awfully nice guy, a demon weapon (Some kind of sword, if Ivor recalled correctly. Flamberge or something silly like that.) like he was, that she met by chance on a day out on town. She never liked to say why they were no longer together, but Ivor assumed - rightly - that she left him due to how she never aged. His mother was nice enough to him, and therefore he didn’t have a care for a father. This was most likely because his mother spoiled him absolutely rotten. That was probably one reason for his self-centered demeanor. Furthermore, he didn't have many rules he needed to remember. The only one rule he remembered was that he not dare tell anyone that his mother was a witch. Easy enough.
However, that wasn't to say his mother was a completely normal mother. Y'know, being a witch and all. Ivor never particularly cared about this oddity. He found it more interesting than anything. Cordelia was a one star witch, though she never seemed to particularly care for the class system the witches had. She didn't care about the witches in general. Apparently she had, but falling in love with a regular human and then having a child seemed to have changed that. Cordelia's familiar is that of a black swan, and her magic theme is sciomancy, just like her son.
Ivor grew up in Minnesota, USA, but not in any city of note. In fact, not even in any town of note. He lived basically in the middle of nowhere, a small house in the middle of the country. The Moores household had no neighbors living close, and lived about an hour away from any civilization. Ivor was also home schooled, with a variety of different tutors.
Because of living in solitude, Ivor never developed any halfway decent social skills. He rarely talked to people, save his mother and numerous tutors. He ended up figuring his own way of communicating with people, and that ended up being as rude as possible. No one ever telling him that he really should be rude since his mother spoiled him to death and the tutors didn’t dare say a thing about their employer’s beloved son.
By the time Ivor grew to the age of twelve, he learned of his weapon powers as his forefingers randomly turned to his partial form, followed by his magic ability randomly going off. Seeing this, his mother began to teach him all about demon weapons, magic, witches, hagspawn... etc. Ivor learned how to control his weapon form enough to be a rather powerful demon weapon.
Eventually Ivor learned of a place known as Shibusen. It intrigued him. A place where he could show off his abilities to others just like him, and furthermore how much better he was than all of them. Without his mother's knowledge, he left to attend Shibusen when he turned eighteen. He had saved up enough gas money from his allowance for the trip, and borrowed (Okay, more like stole) his mother's car. Good thing Ivor had been taught to drive. Adequately.
Behind the strings
Alias: Direbolt
Other characters: Stella Riordan, Elias Larenz, Cendrine Calida, Cyrille Lécuyer
Face Claim: Märchen von Friedhof from Märchen
RP Sample: ”Oh, Ivor. Are you going somewhere?”
The sound of a woman’s voice could be heard all throughout the tiny house that was the Moores residence. A bit silly for her to be so loud, seeing as the person she was trying to talk to stood right there. In fact, he actually looked as though her loud voice was causing him a bit of pain.
”No need to be so loud, mother.” Ivor said, trying to keep his voice soft and hide any malice from it. He really didn’t want to be leaving his mother for an extended amount of time on a bad note. For Ivor did love his mother, just not how clingy she got from time to time. She didn't particularly care for him leaving the house's walls, and now was no exception. Ivor was just fortunate she couldn't say no to him and would allow him to go out at all. Not many places to go around here anyway.
Cordelia paused before speaking again, then took a few steps back as to avoid her son’s personal bubble. Despite her being his mother, the woman looked not that much older. She looked in her mid to late twenties, while her son was eighteen. It’d be odd, if she wasn’t a witch. ”Oh, right. Sorry.” The witch eventually chimed in response.
Ivor was busy trying to straighten out his suit. For whatever reason, it had decided to get a bunch of creases in it despite doing nothing but remaining neatly folded on a chair in the corner of his room for as long as he had had it. Now seemed like a good time to be breaking it in. Such a nice suit just demanded people to notice his presence!
Silence then filled the room as neither said anything to each other. Poor Cordelia attempted to smile, but she was a bit surprised that her son had decided to randomly go somewhere. And a bit sad. Was that the right emotion? She didn't particularly want him to leave her, so it sounded right. Eventually she spoke up again, realizing Ivor wasn't just about to answer her. "Uhm, so, where is it you're going?"
"I might be out for a while." He said, intentionally avoiding the question. Didn't want his mother to worry, or disprove of the idea. Now would be an awful time for her to learn how to say "no" to him. Ivor intended to travel to Shibusen, but... Well, his mother - a witch - surely would not approve! So best be discreet. Not a big deal. He was good at being discreet, not that that was hard since he was good at just about everything anyway. Figuring it'd be best to kind of answer her, after a pause Ivor spoke up again. "Going to meet someone."
At this point Cordelia had an idea about what was happening. Though what she thought was incorrect, she sure as hell didn't know that. Suit and being awfully discreet about where he was going. Ah... Could it perhaps be a girl? Yes, that was it! A soft smile came across the woman's face before she spoke again in her usual sweet voice. "Oh, I see!" And once again the room fell silent.
Eventually Ivor had satisfied himself with how straight his suit was. Good enough, he could always fix it later. If anyone did point out a crease they clearly weren’t worth his time anyway. ”Alright, I do believe it’s about time I got going.” He finally said, walking out the door without so much as a goodbye.

Just a few things that need to be done for this one! Straight away, this boy needs some more weight on him. He’s currently around twenty pounds underweight for his height class, so around 150lbs is where he needs to be even if he’s skinny as a twig. His personality is also a little bit short on the word count. Embellish a little bit more and you’ll be golden. And onto his ability, which is going to need to be explained a bit more. It needs a limit to it. Not so much as how much you can use it but in the time it takes to recharge so to speak. Since it’s described as still weak, I would aim for at least a one post recharge time. How strong are these energy projectiles? How far can they go, is only one fired at once or it is a multiple projectile, etc. It doesn’t need a mantra, but it does need to be described as one would describe a spell. He’ll also need an animal familiar, or rather an animal that he’s fond of and/or close with being a hagspawn. A little more is needed on his history as well. It’s appropriately long, but it feels a little thin, like we don’t really know as much as we should about him. Even if implied that his mother is the Witch in question that makes him hagspawn, this does need to be specified. Also describe how exactly she kept him out of Witch society and what sort of mother she was considering Witches aren’t known for their skills in parenting. Her magic and animal familiar should be mentioned as well since if she was behaving as she was; it would have been something inclining her to be good. A Witch knowingly and willingly sending her child to Shibusen is also not very likely. She can still dislike Witch politics and society, but she’s still a Witch and her hagspawn child waltzing into Shibusen wouldn’t exactly be the safest thing in the world for her. It may be a good idea to acknowledge that she hopefully nailed it into her son’s head to keep her identity as a Witch secret or something to that effect to protect herself. How did she meet his father? Even if he’s never met him, we need to know how this darling little hagspawn came to be. Other than that, Ivor’s a doll!

Just one more thing! And that is that we need to know how he got to Shibusen. How did this one get to Shibusen from his home in the middle of nowhere? Besides that, Ivor looks ready to go.
