Jo ran her fingers along the spines of the books in the fantasy section. She'd already been in the library for a whole hour, giving her time to brush her fingers along the horror section and the encyclopedias. Horror first since it was her favorite genre, and the encyclopedias next just because the spines were bigger, and her fingers seemed to bounce as they jumped from book to book. "The nerve that this kid has," Jo thought, as she let out a sigh. "She's an hour late. Doesn't she know who I am?" Jo began to tap her foot. The only reason she was at the library in the first place was because of the letter that was pushed under her door the night before. It was signed Niina, and asked her to meet at the library at precisely 4:30 to discuss "a super secret training spot, secretly". Jo was doubtful the letter was legit, but she came anyway.
Without looking, Jo pulled out a book from the shelf. She clutched the book in her arms and made her way to a far table near the window. "A Wind in the Door", she read the name aloud as she sat down. She opened the book, hastily flipped through the beginning pages, read the name of the first chapter, and then realized how much she hated reading. As now the time was pushing 6:00, and she was frustrated at herself for thinking someone genuinely noticed her talent. She slammed the book closed and left the table, when the librarian yelled at her to put the book away. Grumbling, she went back to the table, picked up the book, and started making her way toward the fantasy section.

"Tiger Tate" a children's book that Sebastian was currently fascinated with. It was a story a kid tiger named Tate, and how he was lonely till he found friends and they would go on all sorts of different types of adventures together. It was kind of odd that this type of book was at the schools library, but none the less Sebastian read it from front to back. What peeked Sebastian's fascination with this book was how someone who was all become surrounded by people. He was so interested in the book that he read it twice, when he fished he just stared at the cover of the book letting the story sink into his memories. "Friends, odd".
Sebastian looked at his watch a noticed the time, he had been waiting in the library for over a hour waiting for Niina, something he would do everyday after school so they could walk back to their place together. He would simply find a book in the library and just read it till she came by when she was finished what she was doing, it worked out perfectly, late or not at least he would get to read in peace.
"She's late...again" he muttered to himself.
Sebastian stood up from the chair and went back to the bookshelf and returned the book from where he got it. "what do I want to read now" he thought to himself. He skimmed all the books on the shelf hoping something would pop out at him, but sadly nothing did. He decided to trey another shelf as he went through the different rows he couldn't decide what genre, was he in the mood for a horror book? maybe a love one? Sebastian paused as he couldn't decide, until he heard a noise.
The noise sounded like a book was slammed closed, which was odd because he thought he was alone. Out of curiosity he slowly and quietly made his way to the noise to see what it was. He saw a girl, she looked familiar but he couldn't quick place it, he knew she was a student though. Then after a moment he remember, it was the girl who bumped into the other day in the library.
"that clumsy girl" he thought.
She was making her way to the book section he was at, hoping to avoid bumping into her again he turned the other way and tried to hurry down the row until something caught his eye, a book titled "A Witches Pet". Sebastian immediately stopped and went to grab the book, completely forgetting that the girl was coming his way.

Joanna eyed down every row while she made her way to the fantasy section. So far the library was completely empty except for the wretched librarian and herself. As she turned into the fantasy sectioned her eyes widened at the sight of another person. She recognized him, it was the same kid she ran into the other day, and his hair was still just as messy. She thought maybe this time she could make a better impression. He had pulled a book off of a shelf down the end of the section and had not seemed to notice she was there yet. Jo took her book and placed in randomly on the shelf and shouted to him, "HI!" Her chest bounced as she skipped towards him. "I think you forgot to brush your hair again today, heh." Joanna reached up and petted his hair down a bit. His stare made her flustered. "Uh," as she went to put her hands back at her side, Joanna accidentally knocked the book he was holding out of his hands. "Oops." Jo let out a heavy sigh as she reached over to pick up the book. "Here," she handed it to him, "I promise to stop making you drop your books if you tell me your name. Mine is Joanna, but you can call me Jo." She smiled sincerely, "It's just us in the whole library. I was waiting for someone, but they are really late. I was getting ready to leave." Her eyes brightened with excitement and she thought about the setting sun, "If you come with me I know a spot where we can watch the sunset!" Jo realized she might of been being too forward, "Uh," she stammered, "yeah if you aren't busy studying or you know..." Jo clasped her hands together behind her back and looked down at her feet as she swayed from side to side. With a wide pair of curious eyes, Jo glanced back up at him.
