The dispensary was quiet, just like it normally was. The students who had been injured in fights were normally sleeping, and now was most certainly no exception. Even if they weren’t sleeping it wasn't like they had much to do regardless. In regards to people with recurring illnesses, much like the boy who had just pulled back a screen which hid one of the beds from view, they most likely did not attend Shibusen. The tiring training and missions were enough to deter anyone with the sort.
But not Elias. Oh no. When he had the option to leave his home at Germany and move to a place where not a single person knew him. No one would judge him for his illness or the like before even talking to him. This, of course, had been absolutely ruined today. Because, you know, being yelled at to “get away” by a girl who was paralyzed in fear was never good for one’s image. Especially if she then scolded him, bringing him near tears. Not a good thing for one’s image, indeed.
It had also been the reason for the check up. Elias had a tendency to... hurt himself. Not intentionally, of course. During the whole ordeal he had accidentally bitten quite a bit of his cheek off. The cheek had been numbed and the bleeding stopped. Most people would have been a bit deterred by this, as numbness was an odd feeling. But, Elias didn't notice in the slightest. It would be far worse to leave his mouth torn up like it had been, should he constantly be tasting blood. Though his cheek did look slightly swollen, so there was that.
”Tsk...” The boy muttered to himself as he put a glove on his left hand. The hand and upper forearm had been bandaged quite a bit, despite there looking to be no reason to cover it in such a fashion. He wore a stylish red coat embroidered with a grey that was the same colour as his gloves and boots. The colours perfectly complimented his well managed hair, and eyes, both bragging a golden hue. ”She could have at least told me why she had freaked out like that.”
Though brought low as to not disturb anyone else in the dispensary, his accent was oh so obviously German. Usually Elias would try to make his accent as least noticeable as possible, but his annoyance allowed him to overlook such a small thing. He best cheer up, anyway. Hopefully he could get back to his chambers without any further incident.

Merric really disliked appointments... They where one of the few times at Shibusen that he couldn't get around the fact that he was blind, and he couldn't pretend otherwise either because it was a fairly important piece of medical information. But no matter how little he liked them he still had to go to them, even where it not necessary to visit the dispensary every once and a while, as Shibusen students tended to put allot of strain on themselves, Merric would still have to visit every so often to get his eye checked out and pick up a new eye-band.
So it goes without saying that when Merric found himself lying in a bed in the dispensary while waiting for a new eye-band to cover up his empty socket, the usually laid back man was a bit unhappy with his day so far. Out of all the things he had to do today this was the one he liked the least... There was just something really wrong with being able to feel air inside his socket, nevermind the fact that being so obviously disabled bothered him. Merric didn't like being pitied.
Though while he was relaxing with his hands tucked behind his head and the pillow between them and the bed, getting what little enjoyment that he could get out of a hospital bed, he overheard the patient next to him talking to himself. Sounded like the kid had gone through a bit of a rough time with a girl a bit ago and wound up here for it, while Merric found it a bit amusing that she'd put him in here and it wasn't obvious why she was mad he did feel bad for the kid... He did end up in here after all and it didn't seem like he'd wanted to get in the fight in the first place, so when Merric spoke up in a low and slightly lazy tone he did sound slightly sympathetic for the other guy. "Heh, she put you in here and you still don't know what made her freak out? You'd think that it'd have to be pretty obvious to warrant medical attention eh?"

As Elias was about to leave the dispensary, he heard a voice coming from the bed next to the one he had been in. Apparently he had talked a tad too loudly, as said person from behind the blinds had obviously heard him. Though the intent of his words was a mystery, as the words themselves implied rudeness while the tone implied otherwise, Elias was rubbed the wrong way by them. In all fairness, he was in poor spirits already, and this wasn’t helping. His body tensed up, as he paused in place for a second.
”Is it customary for people to not be polite in this school? It most certainly seems that way. Though I doubted I’d be missing much from Germany, I’m certainly missing the manners.” As the boy thought this, a few of the veins on his neck began to grow darker. Though completely normal, at least for him, it wasn’t exactly a look that pleased the eye. Of course, Elias couldn’t exactly tell when this happened. ”Mustn't be upset. Must keep composure. Wouldn’t want my reputation tarnished even more. No, that would be quite the inconvenience.”
As Elias thought this, he let out a soft sigh, then turned his attention to the screen that separated him and the person who was just oh so content on getting under his skin. Despite the fact it was rude to intrude on someone, the man had been equally rude with his words. Elias would simply not stand to be insulted at this point. ”Ahem.” Elias said while pulling back the screen. ”It’s rather rude to make such assumptions, you know. Besides, it wasn’t the girl’s fault I’m in here.”
With these words, Elias crossed his arms over his chest. The boy was missing an eye, giving an obvious reason for being in the dispensary. The other eye was green. The eye colour and hair colour, that of red, combo made Elias a tad more tense. He had remembered a girl with a similar combination of colours, who hadn’t been exactly... nice. Judging by how this was going so far, this boy wasn’t very nice either. Annoying. Elias would make a note to avoid people with red hair and green eyes for now on.

"Oh no... Opened my mouth and he paused in his walking to turn on me. I'm real good at making people angry it seems, guys and girls....." Inwardly when he heard the other guy stop moving Merric cringed, it almost seemed like every time he opened his mouth nowadays he got on peoples nerves. So when the other guy sighed and walked back to the screen Merric let out a low sigh of his own, putting on a lazy look and preparing to try and diffuse the situation yet again. He wasn't sure what he had done wrong yet but he was already thinking up an apology and couldn't quite keep it from his expression when the guy opened the curtain...
Now under normal circumstances Merric would normally protest having his privacy intruded upon but this time... He figured that he somehow earned it and as he turned his gaze to lock with the boys own and heard the reason why he'd angered the guy it became apparent that he kinda had. So after smiling apologetically and making a show of looking over the kid with his 'good' eye, despite the fact that he couldn't actually see, Merric sat up and turned to face the guy. Sitting on the edge of the bed and ashamedly rubbing the back of his head as he turned his gaze to the other guys feet in what he assumed was a gesture of guilt.
And after a moment of slightly awkward silence in which Merric was trying to figure out what to say the older guy chuckled nervously before speaking up in an apologetic voice. "Yeah sorry for that, i guess i let my mouth run without thinking on what i was saying. Though i'm not so sure what you think i was assuming is what i was thinking at the time... I'd figured you said something and the girl you said it to flipped out and you got hit over the head for it or something and i thought that was kinda unlucky, but since you look alright i suppose i was assuming something bad and its just your day for a checkup or something so i'm real sorry for that..... Heh, anyway so i don't make any further assumptions i'm going to just ask. You alright bud? Your kinda flipped your accent on and off there so i'm thinking that it was bad?... If you'll forgive me for my rudeness of course, i've been rather good at angering people of late soooo it wouldn't be out of place if you where still ticked. Either way though i'd like a chance to show that i'm sorry if you'll offer me one?"

Elias’ teeth suddenly dragged together when the other boy had asked him if he was alright. He couldn’t feel himself doing so, so such a reaction was mostly instinctual, as his body continued to tense more and more. Elias was not one to say what it was that ails him. He might occasionally stumble in his words and allude to it, but rarely ever mentioned it directly. No, no. Elias best think up some form of skillful lie to tell this boy.
Despite the boy obviously meaning well, Elias had zoned out after being asked if he was alright. The only other thing he heard was the keyword “accent”. A word Elias was not a fan of. For Elias did not like his accent. He found it loud, annoying, etcetera. The voices he heard from the multiple movies he had watched also often depicted germans as antagonists. For a good reason, to be assured, but nonetheless the accent didn’t add to his charm at all. Hence why he was normally excellent at dulling it to near undetectable levels.
Yet another awkward silence followed once the boy had finished talking, as Elias was attempting to find a suitable lie to tell the boy. ”What to say... hm? I suppose I could say I simply have an illness that reacts poorly to stress, but he’ll ask which one in particular. And if he does, I’d have no idea what to say. The stress raises my body heat, like it would for the average person. However, my lack of ability to remove that heat is troublesome. Furthermore tongue biting... Oh, he can see the fact my cheek is swollen, hm? Troublesome. Not making my case more believable.” Elias brought a hand to his cheek as he thought this. ”Well, I suppose I could say that... Uhm... Argh! This is difficult! I suppose I’ll go with the stress one.”
Elias let out a heavy sigh once again. ”I’m fine. I merely react poorly to stress, is all. You needn’t worry, of cou-” Before finishing his sentence, Elias cut himself off. Despite his lack of ability to feel, he could most certainly hear, and right now he could hear his heart beating. Not good. If left untreated, he could faint. Kinda funny to just randomly get a stroke in a cool room such as this, but nonetheless. Elias took off one of his gloves as to open the lid from a case of pills, picking one up and swallowing it, then putting away the pills as quickly as he had taken them out.

Today was one of her first at the new fantastic school! While Niina would have loved to have her mind wander in the gloriousness that was this day, she found herself being confused, redirected, and constantly communicated with. While this wasn’t necessarily negative in Niina’s eyes, it definitely kept her mind busy. The days before had been to get her situated. She got a room, had her clothes unpacked, got her fish and tank set up, had the plethora of nightlights (very important!), and had a class schedule. Well… she thought she did. Somewhere along the lines the room numbers had been changed… or they had been printed off on the wrong line of the paper… or they got jumbled… Or maybe she plain didn’t know how to read them. Whatever the case, getting to classes was proving quite difficult. She’d be up one corridor, enter a classroom, and then be told to go the opposite way. The teachers tended to be nice, though time to time one would snap at her or seem semi-irritated. This wasn’t their fault of course, she couldn’t blame them for being a little thrown with a lost student! Chuckling lightly, Niina was taking a break from her being lost madness. Every day was a new adventure, it seemed very much true here as well. This morning she had gotten a new schedule with new numbers and everything seemed to be going smoother. Now, she found she had a large chunk of time to herself. Though… when weighing the options, she didn’t have the time to go change from her teal outfit to swimwear. There were two places that she had made sure to locate. 1. The pool. Very important to know where the only ‘large’ body of water in this vast desert was. 2. The Dispensary. This was one of those places that people tended to lose hope. While her intent was never to be pushy, Niina certainly wanted to be helpful where she was needed. Seeing as the pool wasn’t an option at the moment, Niina headed off to the hospital wing! While she was a medical witch by no means, Niina did want to be helpful. Making her way to someone who looked like they might have some say, the girl grinned and began speaking to the woman. A nurse on clock for the time being, she seemed cheery enough. Talking back and forth with the woman, Niina asked for something to do or to raise spirits. While met with hesitation, she was given the go ahead to further herself into the ward. Well, into the areas where people weren’t being treated for serious ailments or injuries. The reason for hesitation may have been from people not generally offering to do such a thing. Or offering the idea of handing candy out to the students. An odd request, but how could people not want a quick rush of sugar? A grin on her face, a medium glass jar filled with hard candies, the witch went through the dispensary. The reactions to this interference were mixed. Approaching those who would make eye contact with her, Niina held out the jar, kept a smile, and asked if they wanted a piece. Depending on the person, sometimes she made them smile before they got a piece, sometimes she just let them take one, and other times she just let them give her a bit of a glare. Everyone had their own way of coping. And while she pushed a tad, she tried to watch her limits. Then… there was a pair that looked like they may be fighting? Well, maybe not fighting in the screaming sort of way. But tension in the air seemed obvious, at least to her. And there were a lot of words, a more apologetic look on the red haired boy’s face, and more uncomfortable looking expressions on the blond. Approaching just as the blond boy was speaking, Niina opened her mouth to speak. ”Do you guys want so-----”Hesitating at Elias’ sudden pill popping, her head tilted slightly to the side as she gave him a quick once over. She then mentally shrugged, her demeanor returning to what it had been. He seemed to be ignoring the sudden movement, so she would do the same unless she saw anything else she should be concerned about. They were in the medical wing. If he needed help, he was here, and he should know it. ”want some candy?”Her grin back in place, it was almost if she hadn’t paused. Her gaze shifting from Elias to Merric, she held the glass jar out pretty much between them, trying to favor neither.

"Candy?!"
A bright-eyed Joanna poked her head out from the corner of the room. She had used some painful cramps as her excuse to get out of her last class. A genius idea, until those "painful cramps" got her sent straight to the infirmary for a check-up. She tried to hint to the male teacher that it was okay, it was just from her period, but I guess he didn't understand what "they come with the burden I must bear" meant. In fact, "mandatory bloodshed for the sake of humanity" probably wasn't a good answer for the question of the burden, since that's the line that got her sent straight to the nurse.
At least she didn't have to do math. She'd been sitting in her bed quietly playing her gameboy, listening to some boys talk about a girl. She wasn't too interested in the conversation at first, but a seemingly sweet girl entered the room and said the c word. Joanna loved sweets, "can I have some candy?" She was smiling, looking up at the odd bunch before her. She tried not to get fixated on the red-head with the missing eye. She'd never witnessed anyone like that before. As soon as she realized she was staring, she quickly looked down to her game screen, and began mashing on the buttons. A discouraging 8-bit tune played from the speakers of her gameboy, "Aw man, I died."
