Winters;Catherine;Weapon
Name: Catherine Winters
Nickname: Cat
Age:17
Gender: Female
Race: Weapon
Position: Student
Class: One Star
Partner: William Grimm
A Strong Body
Appearance: Cat has short blue hair (dyed of course, for her love of the color dark blue. It reminds her of swimming deep to the bottom of the ocean, sliding fingers through coral reefs and mimicking the movement of the fish) and blue eyes to match. Her original hair color is blonde, she had it like that for most of her life until a year ago when she finally decided to dye it. She has thick eyebrows (much to her dislike) and long eyelashes. Her nose is about the average size of a nose and her mouth is usual pursed in a thin line, giving the illusion that she doesn't have big lips. Which is true. She usually likes to wear just a simple pair of jeans and a t-shirt but sometimes she likes to wear flannel shirts, especially once it starts to get cold out. She is usually in denial when it starts to get cold outside, not wanting to sacrifice her nice summer clothes for layers.
She is not thin or skinny but she is somewhat build from her younger years of being an active child. She has broad shoulders and bad posture, making her broad shoulders slump out even further. She has big thighs that are mostly just muscle. Her calves are defined from years of swimming and running. Her skin is somewhat on the pale side, something she doesn't like to pride herself on.
Height: 5'4
Weight: 140 lb
Fighting Style: She doesn't have much of a fighting style, not getting into many fights before coming to Shibusen. But she does like to hang back, not get too close to the opponent. She decides to size them up, using her good eyesight to pinpoint weak spots. She mostly uses her legs to swipe out her opponents legs to knock them to the ground, then goes in for punches while their down for the count. Otherwise her quick reflexes come in handy when dodging attacks coming at her, moving from side to side effortlessly.
Personality: Cat is a shy person around people she doesn't know. It's not that she's nervous around people, she just doesn't trust them. She had gone through a few friends that had tested her loyalty, in the end stabbing her in the back. But once she begins to trust a person is when her real, lively personality begins to show. She gets comfortable around a person, using her quick wit and humor to make others around her laugh, something she prides herself on. She becomes fun and adventurous, willing to take on a task that she's interested in. And if you become loyal enough to her, she will defend you with her life.
Cat can unfortunately be indecisive at times, proving weak to her in battle. She has trouble learning how to make quick decisions, often making the wrong ones at times. Whether it's hitting someone wrong or saying something she shouldn't have, she regrets it for the rest of the week until something cheers her up. She steels up her emotions too, not letting anyone get close to them unless they become too much for the bottle that is her heart and she needs to let it out somehow; usually by punching stuff alone in her room. But that doesn't mean that if she's close enough to you she won't open up, if she trusts you she will tell you her feelings. She knows what it's like to have feelings of self doubt and she wants to protect others, especially her friends, from every feeling sadness.
But none of that means she isn't a strong willed person, she definitely is. If she finds a cause that means something to her, she will defend it with her life. She isn't exactly brave per say, but she is someone that doesn't let people or beings get in the way of her goals. She will knock you down if you're standing in the way of her happiness. Happiness is something that is very important to her and she feels like other people take it for granted.
Inside the Soul
Weapon Form: A trident. It has three long points, the middle blade being longer than the other too, the form the trident, much like something you would see Poseidon holding in statues. It's shaft is black while the blade remains silver. It had a metal grip in the center for easier handling. There is also an emblem of serpent carved a the beginning of the blade. It's about 5'4 in length.
Partial form: In her partial form her right hand turns into the three blades that are located at the top of the trident. That way she can maneuver it much like someone holding a knife might.
Out of your Mind
Strengths:
Psychologically Strong
Quick Reflexes
Good Eyesight
Weaknesses:
Lack of Intelligence
Lack of strategic skills
Bad Balance
Hobbies: She enjoys writing, thinking up characters and lands to adventure on, fighting creatures and evil beings. That's pretty much her ideal life. She also likes to swim, she's been swimming since she was younger and always loved it, especially in the clear blue ocean where she can explore the depths of the unknown world.
Likes: She liked food, dogs, going on adventures, and swimming.
Dislikes: Vegetables, sexism, heights, and homework.
Aspirations: Cat wants to become a great weapon and help fight evil with a partner that is as loyal to her as she is to them. She always envisioned a world where she was a hero, going on epic quests and fighting evil, and she hopes that her time at Shibusen can make that come true.
History: Cat grew up in New Jersey with her parents and her brother. She lived a normal life. She went to normal school (which she hated, it was too dull for her taste) and had some close friends. There wasn't much to her life really, she was someone who was either too quiet or too dangerous. The Two Extremes, her Mom called her. On one hand she would hide up in her room for hours, reading or surfing the internet, while on the other hand she would be out by herself or with a close friend exploring dangerous areas or making up fantasy settings where they would slay evil.
Discovering that she was a weapon was the weirdest day of her life. She had just gotten home from school and was going to feed her dog, a spunky golden retriever named Link. Link waited patiently at her feet as she reached up into a cupboard to get the dog food. That's when she felt her hand get all tingly and suddenly the bag of dog food was sliced open, the food falling down onto the ground, delighting Link but scaring Cat. She looked at her hand to discover the head of what looked like a trident, her blue eyes open wide as she gaped at her right hand. Her parents came home shortly after that (Cat having called them in a panic, trying to get her hand to change back to normal) and explained everything to her.
Her Dad told her, after she discovered that she was a weapon, that his father had been a weapon too. He had died when Cat was very young, so she never got to really meet him, let alone know that he was a weapon. Her dad told her that her Grandfather was a spear, much like the ones used for catching fish in the olden days. Which was probably related to her being a trident. Cat often thinks about her Grandfather and what it would've been like to learn things about being a weapon from him. But unfortunately sickness is something that you can't fight with your bare hands.
Despite not knowing someone else who was a weapon, her family was very supportive of her and her decision to go to Shibusen. Although they were anxious about her getting into more trouble then she usually did. Her family was always very accepting of her decisions, always willing to do whatever it took to make her happy after they discovered she developed depression. Cat never really knew how that all started, maybe it was because she felt bad for her lack of intelligence compared to everyone else or that she wasn't living the amazing life she wanted to live. Anyway, they would support her with every crazy sport she would try and praised her even when she got a bad grade, knowing that she tried her best and not everything a person does is perfect. This was good in someways but the more Cat thinks about it she thinks that's not really how the real world works. Evil things would be coming her way and it wasn't going to give her slack just to keep her happy. It was going to bite and tear away at her until she was nothing. But she would never let that happen.

Face Claim: N/A
RP Sample: Rays of sun bounced off the city buildings in waves, shining in every direction to make the town have a glow that only Death City seemed to have. Cat observed this on her walk, her headphones locked over her ears, her head bobbing slightly to the beat of the music. Her eyes glanced at every passerby, as if trying to find the people like her.
"Excuse me, miss?"
Cat was barely able to here the stranger that poked her from behind. She turned, sliding her headphones off her ears and raising an eyebrow at the man. An obvious tourist, what with the bags and bags he had of merchandise and just the sight of his ugly floral shirt made Cat want to puke. But she listen anyway, pushing all prejudices aside as she nodded at the man.
"I'm lost, could you help me find Deathbucks?" the man asked.
"Sure, it's just a few more blocks down the road. You'll turn right on the alley, if you hit Skeleton Road then you've gone too far," she hummed easily.
"Thank you miss," he shook her hand eagerly. Cat nodded back, watching the man run off before realizing something all to quickly. Something terrible, something that made her mind go numb.
She was going to be late for class!
Cat started sprinting as soon as she realized this, her black boots hitting the ground hard with every step. She pushed passed people as they made their way around Death City, Cat ignoring the annoying movements of her headphones around her neck as they bounced with each step she took.
Finally she stopped in front of the school, her backpack strap sliding off of one shoulder, her breathing heavy as she stopped to take a breath.
She almost screamed when she looked up.
The stairs looked like they were miles long before they reached the entrance of the school. What the hell was this? Some kind of prank? Cat stared at the stairs in hatred when she realized that yes, she definitely was going to be late. That is, if she ever made it to class.
