As much as he should probably have been paying attention to the other’s more subtle motions that just wasn’t something for Dion to do. If anything was really important it would be clear enough for him to pick up so there was nothing to worry about. It didn’t help that all this talk of fighting had gotten him pumped to see some combat. Whatever transpired with the bird things was still just a possibility but a new mission would do just fine. Practicing resonance and sinking his blades into some corrupt soul was just what he needed.
Dante’s words brought him back before he got too deep into his own fantasized situation. It was good to know he was as into fighting whatever it was they were against as he was. Hopefully Dante wouldn’t have to experience another round with whatever it was until he was a One star at least. Now that Dion was so close to being a two star weapon he had to be better at keeping the real enemies away from the NOT students. With the encouragement out of the way it was now just a matter of doing what they had to do to make it that way.
Bringing his attention back to Irene he listened to what she had to say after her earlier proclamation. Well he was close to Two star, had the resonate part taken care of, so that just left the making and breaking goals part. It was pretty good advice and was a way to keep motivation but that didn’t really seem like a major issue. Currently his main goal was to reach two star so if he were to follow Irene’s words that meant going back to the drawing board. Hmm, maybe that could add some more fun to the new rank.
”Got it.”
Smirking slightly for her words Dion put some thought into this goal thing while she mover her attention over to Dante. Now what was a reachable yet awesome goal he could make and then shatter? Obtaining a resonance was already taken care of and reaching two star was practically checked off. Now becoming a death scythe was something but that was a tad out of the way. That left only the most basic goals to start with. Goal number one, slice a kishin egg clean in half. Now that was a goal to start with!
Hearing her advice to Dante he nodded his head slightly. It was good advice to follow for anyone really, even more so for someone just starting to enter the ranks. Knowing that Dante’s meister was somebody named Victoria was also potentially useful for future reference. Hearing just advice might have come across as superior but Irene made sure to include herself as well. That was good; he wouldn’t want her stagnating and falling behind him now. At her other words he couldn’t help but break into a larger smirk and respond.
”Good to know. I’ll make sure it isn’t a boring show.”
With more motivation to get to two star now Dion was ready to take on whatever kishin egg they could. Lifting egg a hand he looked over his knuckles to see just how badly he had cut them up in his training. The skin was clearly broken but nothing was that bad. Clenching his fist he activated his partial form to see if that made his hand any worse. Nope, all was good on that front. Releasing his partial he cracked his knuckles and turned so the trees weren’t completely behind him but the others weren’t ignored either.
”Well, better get to that training then. If I slack too much you guys might get the jump on me.”
Now he had to get some good training in or what he said might become true. The last thing he wanted was Irene becoming a two star before him and showing him up. He didn’t expect her to be too far behind him at any rate so he had to keep up his appearances after talking as big as he did.
