Kaylin did not notice the redhead’s face turning bright red. It was just… something that missed her. Of course, if it would have been a smile the girl wouldn’t have overlooked it for one moment. But alas, blushing was of no interest to her mind, leaving it a small detail with no recognition. Even him opening his eyes quickly with an obvious surprised look was lost on her. In Kaylin’s mind, she had soothed her not hen, that was all there was to it. Now what was left was to put her rope away. Lord Death forbid if she forgot to secure it properly! Jack would come from across the country and pummel her. Thinking of him caused the girl to laugh. Ah Jack. Such a wonderful man. Needed more fun, but was quite wonderful.
That aside, she had better things to attend to. Like this unknown object. Why was it there by itself? Why was it calling to her? Well, she would certainly find out! And Kaylin was off. The girl sprinting towards something with that joyful grin on her face… It was a wonder that Zane had stuck around as long as he had. A slightly more sane person might have left her long ago.
What happened next didn’t seem possible, not in Kaylin’s mind. Though… this was no new accomplishment. Kaylin was oblivious with pretty much everything. The fact that Zane caught up to the speeding meister and actually got ahold of her was a surprise. Her hand felt the pressure first, but the slowing down occurred through her whole body. Her feet were moving still.. but… her upper body was being pulled backwards. Zane’s strength eventually pulled even Kaylin’s feet off the ground, probably a mixture of him being stronger and having a good bit of height on her. Though, the girl never fully realized it was him who had changed her direction. As she was flying backwards, Zane went sprinting past her. Laughter coursing through her body and echoing through the forest, this was quite a different game!
While he may have pulled her off her feet, Kaylin’s quick reactions allowed her to right herself once again. Getting her feet back beneath her somewhat, she threw her arm (the one he had grabbed) ahead of her and the opposite arm she turned swiftly the other way. This slight turning motion gave her a moment to stabilize the momentum pulling her back, a full spin and she was standing straight on her feet again. Zane however… was not on his feet. Laughing once again, the girl’s hands covered her mouth in surprise more than to cover her amusement.
”Mine!”
The girl called out in a sing song voice, closing the remaining short distance between her and the bag. Picking it up, she swung it over her shoulder. Vision told her that Zane was still on the ground. Was her not hen hurt? A grin on her face still, she merely assumed he was playing dead. Games always!
Half skipping over to the male, Kaylin crouched down beside him. Her right hand reached out and knocked lightly on the male’s head. ”Zaaannnnneeeee” Still sounding overly happy, the girl was addressing her not hen. Then, she threw her feet out from under her. Letting her hands hit the ground first, she then let her body soon follow with a slight ‘thunk.’ Stomach on the ground, the meister lay directly beside her weapon. Face even against the ground, her head was turned towards him, her one cheek in contact with the dirt but playful eyes staring straight at the head of her not hen.
”Playing dead isn’t that fun of a game. All you get to do is lay there.”
Giggling lightly, Kaylin assumed his push up like position from earlier, using her arms to lift her body. Then she walked forward while keeping her hands in place and promptly sat her butt on the ground. ”What’s in here…” The girl muttered with laughter, opening the bag and beginning to pull out whatever may lay inside. And… by pull out.. Kaylin would look at one item for about half a second, then toss it aside carelessly.

Zane had just fallen, as he pleaded for her not to step on him, he heard the footsteps of her running by, she completely ignored him and went straight for his bag. The plus side of it was at least she was ok and his first "protect the meister" mission was a success.
As Zane lay there sulking in his own embarrassment, he began to feel a light thump on his head. At first he didn't think anything of it and it was just some pain from earlier. That notion quickly changed when he heard a voice, he knew that voice could be only one person calling out to him.
He heard is name coming out of Kaylins mouth. To him she sounded a bit cheerful, was she happy that he fell? Did he play right in her hands, did she want him to actually do that? Thoughts like those swept through his mind, was she a lot smarter then he gave her credit for? No matter the case what could he have done now, this was to be his new partner and to he did not want to mess it up. He knew that this would mostly likely be a daily thing, and his chance to back out has long past, all he can do now is look ahead to the future, with the weird Kaylin by his side.
He heard a little thump next to him, the sound and the vibration of the ground caught his attention. He turned his head in the direction of the disturbance only to be caught in a eye lock with Kaylin who was laying right next to him staring at him. Was she really looking at him though, or was she just looking past him? It was hard for him to tell, but the feeling of laying next to her, weapon and meister, had a strange calming affect for him.
”Playing dead isn’t that fun of a game. All you get to do is lay there.” She said
He thought to himself, "So that's why she was looking at me, she thought I was playing dead, not really what I was doing but I'd rather have her think that then how embarrassing this moment really is"
She began to giggle and next thing you know she was sitting down. She began to go through his bag, carelessly throwing all his junk out. First it was his water, then some of his towels, then a protein bar. Why was she going through his bag, what was she looking for. He was a bit curious if this was another one of those "her trying to read him" things. By going through his bag she might have been trying to see what he's into. Then again maybe she was just fascinated with his bag and there was no hidden agenda behind it.
As there was nothing left for her to throw out of the bag, he sat up in front of her and crossed his feet while placing his hands on his lap. He looked at her, then he took the bag from her hands and placed it in front of them on the ground.
"It's not nice to throw peoples things around, it could be valuable to them." he told her.
As he looked at her he wasn't sure what was to come next, what could he do now? So taking a deep breath he said "I look forward to....". He paused, he knew that any type of real conversation would be lost upon her, even if she did understand him, he probably wouldn't even get a real response back from her. So with a little sadness he looked down.
He rose his head to look at her. Then it came to him, he closed his eyes and gave off a little smile. Looking back at her with a straight face, he put his arm out in front of her as if he was going to shake hands with her. What better way to say you look forward to working with someone then a good old handshake. He waited anxiously for what she would do.

Stuff Stuff Stuff. All this stuff!
Momentarily she forgot about her little not hen. This bag had things in it! Weird things, normal things, stuff she knew and didn’t! A water capsule. One could not pick up this item without shaking it first! It always made such joyous noise! But in a second, that was done with. Tossing it to the side, she pulled out some towels. Towels? Was there a pool? She should totally go swimming. Water was awesome. Swimming would be neat right now! And… then the towels were thrown to the side. Plastic. Crinkly crinkly plastic. That kept her attention half the time the other items did.
And then the bag was empty.
Sad day. Well… not really. THE NEXT ADVENTURE. Movement. Turning her attention to what she had seen from the corner of her eye (or right in front of her… as reality would have it), she found Zane sitting directly across from her. Tilting her head to the side, her same excited grin remained on her face. He then took her bag. Raising an eyebrow, the girl laughed. Didn’t take it from her, just put it in front of them. What was funny about that? well… she didn’t really know. It just hit her, so she laughed.
Jumping to her feet, Kaylin was looking down at the sitting male. He was talking… she thought. Wasn’t nice? Grinning the girl moved and grabbed one of the towels from the ground. Holding it in her right hand, she began running around. Where to? Nowhere. Just in circles. Running around Zane, away from Zane, towards Zane….He wasn’t exactly the center of attention, but her direction had no real meaning to it. She was just waving the towel around. Until she tripped.
Head first, reeling forward, a laugh escaped the girl. Left hand shooting out in front of her, right hand still holding the towel and trailing behind her body. She let her left hand take most of the impact, bending her elbow when she hit to lessen the force. Letting her lower body follow over top of her as she tucked her head down, the girl sort of rolled across the forest floor. Once the momentum stopped, she was lying flat on her back a a little less than a foot to the right of Zane.
Laughing quietly, the girl was sort of sprawled out, hand finally letting go of the towel. Arms and legs spread across the ground, face facing straight up. She silenced her laughing with a deep breath and an exhale. Shifting her head just a bit, she heard Zane say something. What it was never registered, but he didn’t look happy. Some weird Simon Says game?
A grin on her own face, she saw him reach out with his hand towards her. Her own hand shot out and pulled. The force would most likely catch him off guard, pulling him into some awkward sideways on top of her formation. Laughing as soon as their hands made contact, no one could seem to stop this meister’s joy.
But no sooner had she pulled him did she start to quiet down again. ”The Energetic Meister has to recharge soon.” Though it didn’t happen often, Kaylin did get tired. She seemed to go on and on forever, but she did indeed need sleep. Especially when she had been playing games all day long!

He anxiously waited for her hand to shake his....at least that's what he hoped would happen. Given how most of his day turned out with her, part of him knew something else would transpire. Still he was hoping for the best and kept his hand out waiting. "Shake it Shake it". He kept repeating to himself, he began to sweat a little, it started to get to him all the millions of other things she can do to his hand, none of them involved shaking. Zane realized he made a mistake by doing this, but before he could move his hand out of the way it was to late.
He felt the warmth of her hand as it began to touch his, and heard her beginning to laugh. In that fraction of a second his mind raced with random thoughts, all of which involved him getting hurt by what she could do. The force coming from the girl caught him off guard, he was unable to brace himself for what was to come next. All he can prepare for what was to happen next. He tightened his shut eyes harder as if he was getting ready to take a blow. "Alright I'm ready!"
THUMP
Was he thrown? did she drag him somewhere? the possibilities could be endless of what she did to him. He didn't feel any pain, all he felt was a shift in his body. All he could do was to just open his eyes, and hope whatever she did wasn't as bad as he thought it was. He opened his eyes to find himself awkwardly over her as she lay on the ground. Before he could say anything he noticed how quiet she got, to him she looked exhausted. This was somewhat of a shock to him, he didn't think it was possible for her to get tired.
He looked up at the sky and noticed it was starting to get kinda late, and it made sense that she was getting tired. After all everyone needs sleep, something Zane felt like doing after seeing her being tired. He looked back down at the worn out meister and for a moment he stayed there quietly. He wanted to enjoy this peaceful moment, he felt like moments like these will be hard to come by from here on out and he wanted to make the most of this solace moment.
After a few more moments, "It's getting pretty late, I should get you home right?"
After he said that there was yet another moment of silence. As he stared into her eyes waiting for a response he realized something. He was WAY to close to her again, with his eyes looking into hers and their noses no more then a inch or 2 away from each others. He was still in that awkward position of being on top of her. If someone were to walk by it would look somewhat very inappropriate. Realizing this he jumped off he and scooted back a little and yelled.
"I'm sorry so sorry, I didn't mean to be on top of you"
Even though he didn't actually put himself on top of her he kept apologizing as he waved his hands. After letting out a few more apologies, he put his hands down and looked at her. Taking a deep breath, something he found himself doing a lot of today, in a normal voice said "Let me just get my things and I will get you home Kaylin"
He scrambled around to put everything she threw back inside the bag. He turned his back towards her and his face was all red, he was so embarrassed and he hoped that she wasn't mad at him for what just happened.

Kaylin’s attention switched back and forth between Zane and other things. For one, it was hard to ignore someone you just pulled on top of you. But… it was also hard to pay attention when they weren’t really doing anything. He looked towards the sky, which got the meister to mirror his gaze. The sky? What was up there? Stars? Suns? Flying things? Probably a lot of bugs… The last thought made her chuckle lightly. Bugs. They were such funny things. A lot of them even had different forms!
But her thoughts were much slowed from earlier in the day. As sporadic as she still may be, her mind was not moving as quickly back and forth, to and fro. What would have seemed like eternities to her just a short while ago was passing by as what a normal person may see time as. Moments. Moments were occurring without something extremely full of energy going on. And she somehow let it. Though… it did help she was thinking about bugs… and that she was looking at the sky trying to pinpoint where these glorious creatures were.
Words caught her attention then. Looking almost startled, her gaze shifted back to Zane. For a moment, one might even think she didn’t recognize him. Yep. Kaylin forgot for that split moment, not only that Zane was there, but who he was. All in all, she just snapped back to the reality of him being there and that he mentioned home. About to reply, something happened.
Though she didn’t fully register what his facial expression, it would be hard to miss the young man flying away from her. A smile on her face, she laughed at his sudden movements. Sitting up somewhat, she placed her hands behind her. Butt still on the ground, but she held up her upper body with her palms on the ground. Her gaze watched the male momentarily, apologies spilling from his mouth. Her laugh continuing, the girl shook her head.
”I’m sorry I’m sitting! I’m sorry that I am a girl! I didn’t mean to pull you on top of me!”
Laughing and mocking him. That’s what she was doing. It was like her own little version of copying him, but bringing her own personal spin into it. When her laugh just started to die down, she placed her feet securely against the ground. Lifting her midsection into the ground, her hands and her feet supported her into a body bridge. Grin still obviously present, she kicked off the ground with her feet, bringing them up over the rest of her body, having them land on the opposite side of her hands, and move with the momentum to bring her upper body back into a full standing position.
Turning to face the male again, she was just in time to hear his next words. Get his things and get her home. Home. It brought a more comfortable smile to her face. Wait… Home?
”I WANNA MAKE SIH-MIH-NIHN ROLLS!”
She hollered. The boy wouldn’t even have enough time to pick up his things before she took off into the woods. Kaylin needed to go home. Cinnamon rolls awaited her apparently. Oh what joys that would bring…
