The entrance to the forest was overgrown and lush, Brutus paused a moment and turned to look at Shibusen that now lied some ways away from him. The school was unlike anything he'd ever seen or imagined and certainly like nothing he had left behind at home. Part of him still expected to wake up from this dream to his sister's laughing voice and head to the mine for a day's work. He listened briefly to the meisters and weapons running around in the distance before letting out a faint sigh and turning back to the forest.
His powerful legs easily pushed through the think foliage at the edge of the forest that would have made others stop to at least attempt to navigate a path through it. A few feet later the bushes and stray sticks ceased attempting to slow him as the forest floor began to open up. Already the noises of jocularity and frivolity grew almost silent as he looked deeper into the heart of the forest. 'Сега това е по-добре.' he thought. "Home.." The words breathed heavily out of his mouth and were quickly followed with a huge smile. If he was going to be stuck here, at least some of it wasn't all that bad. The massive frame slowly and loudly crashed forward with seemingly random foot placements as he headed straight ahead for the sole purpose that that's the way he was already going. The sun still broke through the canopy high above, he had hours before he'd have to head back to the school. The forest offered so many rewards most would look past but Brutus always rejoiced in them. He followed a pair of purple butterflies for a few crashing steps before they had flown ahead of him then a squirrel darted perpendicular to his path and became his next target to follow. Each turn seemed to be alive with animals or thick mighty trees. The squirrel got away from him much faster than the butterflies had and left him on the edge of a small cliff edge. Brutus, however, was ignorant to this change in the configuration of the forest floor.
He looked once more off into the distance before taking his first and last step off the cliff. It wasn't until his body went from the normal ninety degree angle to the ground to being forty-five degrees forward that he realized something was unusual about this step. His overpowering frame and strong, mighty legs only added weight to such a fall and he tumbled down about five or six feet before landing in a small but moving creek. He hadn't lost consciousness from the descend but the small rocks and old roots that quickly caught his back caused him to lose his breath momentarily. A slight tear came to the brute's eye, "I.. Home.." He laid there and let the slight stream bathe his wide shoulders and full back, the coolness aiding in the removal of the pain.
Slowly and awkwardly he made a few failed attempts at sitting up and a few stubbles at standing up but finally he found his feet once more underneath him. He sighed a sigh of disbelief as he laughed silently at himself, it must have been as loud as one of the great trees timbering to the ground. Moving slowly out of the creek, he found an old log to sit on and rest while gazing upon the creek he recently laid in. The log groaned and cracked beneath him as his full weight settled onto it. "This place.. Beautiful," he said out loud and in reply the log gave way from rot and he settled even farther into it, his knees in front of his face now. "Beautiful," he said once more.

CLOTHESSSS!Hide and seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek. That’s what she was doing… right? Kaylin had long since forgotten what she was doing in the forest. Logic could have told her that her partner wanted to train again, had brought her away from people in the hopes of getting her to concentrate. Sadly, that never seemed to quite work for the kind young lad. The Energetic Meister was far too distractable and happy. Now she found herself running throughout the forest of Death City. Her normal attire of boots and gloves were coming in handy. The reckless nature of the young girl had her tearing through the forest with little concern. While a scrape or two had occurred across her unprotected thighs and arms from stray branches and bushes, she was able to keep stable footing with the help of her footwear. Not to mention swing freely at and from branches with her covered hands! The game of hide and seek was only half in her mind at the moment. In her swift movements through out the trees and underbrush, she couldn’t quite remember if she was the hider or the seeker. Obviously that was too much to dwell on, so she was letting that game slip away. Talk about slipping, her one foot started giving beneath her, a bit of soil giving underneath her weight and starting to fall into a little, few feet gully. Not much wanting to hit the water just yet, she kicked off with the foot that hadn’t been on unstable earth, jumping across the gully and just barely making it. Complete with little off balance arm sways out to her side as her body teetered on the edge. Giggling all the while, Kaylin glanced over her shoulder just as she righted herself on the opposite side of the gully. Hopping forward, then taking a quick jump to spin herself around, she looked down into the shallow ravine. Water was there! The few feet had been worn away by the crick, though…. that would never register in her brain. That’s when her ears caught a sound. Something made a loud ‘thunk’ sound. Maybe a splash? She coulda made that up. Grinning with glee, the girl took off once again. She must find the source of this sound! Maybe it was a tiger! How nice that would be… just like the circus again. Fun times everywhere. Her feet lightly dashing over the forest floor, her eyes danced about, looking for anything interesting. The interesting point happened to be in the best spot! Down in the water was a big, whale fish. It was flopping about, looking as if it was trying to stand and then toppling down again. Kaylin laughed once more, never thinking for a moment she should be quiet or hold back. She was amused. He was funny! Moving her arms out to her sides, she held them parallel to the ground. Giggling still, she spun around twice, then when she was facing the big Goliath Fish again, she made a little jump forward. Her butt hitting with a solid thunk on the edge of the small cliff, her shorter legs dangled over the edge. Kicking them back and forth, her energy was nowhere near gone. “You’re funny. Shouldn’t you be swimming?” A laugh followed her words, her hands falling besides her, palms against the ground she sat on. Her grin was undeniable, it was quite possible it would never die. Eyes completely focused on the large man, for now, she watched him with peaked interest. Chances are, it would only last a few moments. But for those moments, the giant man had the attention of Kaylin McOlster.

The fur lining in the collar of his jacket was still damp with water and pressed cold against his skin as the echoes of laughing surrounded him. Faint at first, they grew louder and louder as if the gleeful mouth they erupted from was getting closer. Water swirled in his ears and he clumsily beat the left side of his head to force it out. The laughs and giggles grew louder but his 'delicate' water removal and the walls of the gully still made the direction of the glee a mystery.
The suns rays shone through the trees as he looked around searching for the noisemaker. Finally, the light shone upon a creature on the bank just uphill a short distance away. It spun twice in the illumination of the floating orb before coming slightly closer and quickly placing itself on the bank right above him. It wasn't until all movements finally ceased that the light was just right for Brutus to see the creature's playful brown eyes and a grim unlike any he had ever seen before within choppy locks of shoulder length brown hair.
Brutus studied the creature carefully, it spoke to him but its words were lost in his thick skull. 'нимфа,' he thought to himself. "N.. Nymph," he crudely and deeply uttered in the closest tone reminiscent of a question that he could muster. A slight fear came over the great beast. He had heard stories of playful nymphs in the woods back home and by everything he could remember about them this could very well be one: shorter, appearing seemingly out of thin air, and always laughing and smiling. But there were stories too of malicious nymphs who delighted only in the torturous tricks they played on those they came across in their travels. He'd never seen any nymphs before in person but if they could be real in any place they were sure to be on the grounds of this school that was always surprising him in one way or another.
The water dripped off him still but the memory of his fall from the bank had left his mind ever since he first heard the female creature, whatever it might actually be. On his mighty feet he pushed his left foot back and took a defensive position towards the still unceasing smile above, standing now with his right shoulder pushed forward and guarding his body from any attack. His brow lowered as he focused on her, "You.. Good.." He gruffly breathed out. "Or.. .. Not.. Good?" His words slowly stumbled out as his left hand squeezed into a strong fist behind him.
He remained fixed in place like a statue awaiting her response.

Mumble mumble tumble tumble.
Oooooo Tumbling.
Her joyous grin always somehow able to widen, the girl had to look out of her mind. She wasn’t quite sure what the male had said and it never really mattered. Kaylin only paid attention less than half the time anyway. But she was still super duper excited! Her hands still flat on the ground beside her, she bounced up and down on her butt three times. She couldn’t sit still and certainly didn’t want to. What to do next?
He was upppp!
“Up up up goes the fishhhy!”
Kaylin giggled as she spoke, joyous over finding the huge creature. Eyes glancing downwards, off the man, she made no sense of his defensive stance. Swinging her feet outwards, she pushed off the ledge with her hands and let gravity take hold. Dropping off the small cliff, her feet caught a bit of the mud as the earth edged out towards the water. Gleefully slipping, she kept her body upright as her feet slid effectively towards the water.
Boots making contact with the liquid, her gaze completely focused on where she was going, one might even think she completely forgot about the behemoth. Laughing freely, the girl took a large hop into the middle of the small crick. Water danced into the air as her body weight came down into it. Splashing this way and that, she jumped again and again, laughing the whole while. Water began soaking her skin and some of her clothes, mud spotting the land and herself as well.
And she loved every second of it.
Brutus words had only faintly registered in her mind. More of a sound than actual words. Taking a moment to halt her hopping shenanigans, she placed her hands one on top of the other on the top of her head. Smiling now, she stared straight at the large man. She giggled at the sight of him, standing like some weird fish might.
“Mum always said if you stand weird a lot, you get more flexible!”
Joy at her memory was apparent, as well as the connection to her mother. Or maybe it was just the normal joy that Kaylin always seemed to hold. Lifting her right leg up from the water, she pointed her toe and lifted her leg behind her body. Taking her hands off her head, she held the right out in front of her and reached behind her with her left hand. Grasping her right toe with the left hand, her upper body had shifted forward somewhat, leaning towards him. Still grinning like a mad child, she seemed to be demonstrating her own odd stance.

His eyelids closed slightly as he fixed his eyes on the energetic being above him and studied her closely. Slowly he attempted to turn his defensive positioning always towards her but he was unable to keep up as she bounced on the bank, splashed into the muddy water, and bounded some small distance away before gracefully transforming into a position unlike any he had seen before. All the while keeping her wide almost insane grin and voicing this and that about a fish.
Words were lost on him as he maintained careful sights on her as began to slowly relax his fist. If she was bad she must not be planning an immediate attack as she gave up the high ground and positioned herself in perhaps the most inefficient fighting stance. Like his fist, his whole body relaxed and he unfurrowed his brow as he pulled his back foot in and stood up straight. For the first time he stood before her, towering above her despite the distance between them. She was undoubtedly the oddest thing he'd seen in the forest that day and perhaps any day he'd made his noisy, long strides between the trees.
Her pose maintained, he was struck with a sudden sense of energy and glee as the thought of a possible attack left his thick head. His mouth that was so serious only moments before now too had a smile bordering on crazed as he smashed his gigantic hands together in a frenzy. What was simple applause from others was thunderous crashing when attempted by Brutus. Hands still wet from the creek, mud and water flung into the air - unable to maintain their placement on his worn hands. A slash of mud landed diagonally across his face and his thundered, 'Какво шоу! Какво шоу!!' "Again!!" He roared, "Do again!"
He hadn't been entertained in so long and it pleased him so to laugh, unable to stop himself as he howled with laughter and applause at the little one who joined him in the creek. Most would hold back for fear of scaring away the show but he had no thoughts of this as he looked upon her waiting for the next foreign form she might take. Whether she wanted it or liked it or not, she had gained a fan.

Getting herself into her own little stretchy position, it was something her mother had done time and again just to stretch out and check things. Copying mom. It was fun. Copying her parents had always proved fulfilling for the young meister. A satisfied and joyous grin, it only took a small movement to bring her back to reality.
Well… small was an understatement. A clap was something so simple, but when a huge whale smashed its flippers together, it was like trees were falling through out the forest, the storms of the ages coming to take over the world. Blinking in surprise at all of the sudden outburst of noise, Kaylin’s attention focused on the fish more completely, seeing as she hadn’t really been thinking of him seconds before.
Mud was spraying from his wet hands, he was speaking with gusto, and his thundering clapping only energized her more. It was like home. Bringing smiles and laughs to everyone around her. It had been a good long while since someone had reacted to her in such a way.
Her right hand in front of her already, she let go of her foot with her left hand. Straighter arm, twisting it up and over her shoulder, meeting parallel motion with her right arm, she forced her upper body forward with her arms. Hopping from her foot that had still been on the ground and forcing her hips to follow through with the same movement. Flipping her legs up over her body, upper body upside down by this point, head of hair almost entering the creek below, and the girl just barely extending her arms out to the sides in the upside down position. All in all, she had flipped her whole body once, without the use of her arms. Bringing her all that much closer to the large guy.
Taking in a solid breath as her boots hit the mud once again. Her hands on her hips, a grin on her face, she found herself not two feet from him and staring straight up to the sky/his face. Eyes widening, her jaw dropping so her lips formed an ‘O.’ She looked like a toddler that had just eyed the biggest puppy in her life. Brutus was a good foot taller than her. Tall didn’t seem to be an odd thing when compared to Kaylin, but this tall consistently caught her attention.
“You are taller than a building!”
The girl almost hollered the words, gleefully chuckling as her hands shot up to grab onto the huge tree branch that was his arm.

The gymnastic display before him only further entranced Brutus to the small creature before him and closed out all the light and noise of the forest around him. It was almost hard to believe that the shelter of the forest he so often immersed himself in to feel closer to home could be so easily forgotten from such a sudden and quick interaction.
The girl stood upright before him only a second before shouting strange words and leaping into the sky, hands leading the way and aimed at the mighty arm that hung relaxed next to his body. If any of her movements that day were sudden and unexpected to the giant man this one certainly topped them all.
There was a slight impact between his elbow and his shoulder which cause his upper body to barely rotate followed by a small pressure around his bicep and tricep but his legs stood strong like they only supported his weight and nothing else. He might have thought longer about this tap he felt but confusion flooded over him, the little dancer had disappeared into thin air! Quickly his confusion turned into concerned frenzy as he bent forward at his trunk of a waist and shifted his upper body back and forth looking for any sign of her.
'Къде е тя намерила да?!' He thought to himself, "Where go?! Where go?!" The words escaped his mouth in perhaps the closest tone to worried he could construct as he flung his weight around effortlessly. His legs hadn't moved so he was sure he hadn't crushed her accidentally and the muddy water below wasn't deep enough for someone even that small to hide in.
Sadly groaning to himself, he once more looked up to the light breaking through the forest canopy. Perhaps she had been a nymph all along.
