Applicant(s): Joselyn Workmann
Name: Soul Perception
Type: Ability
Class: Basic
Appearance: No real distinguishable difference is made between Jo using Soul Perception or being her normal self. Other than a slight personality shift to being excited which may cause more laughter or grins, Jo will most likely be punching someone or something. At this low level of beginning perception, nothing further can be observed from her.
Description: While a talented user of Soul Perception may be able to simply look at a soul to find significant and specific information about a being’s wavelength, personality, characteristics, etc., Jo Workmann is not that talented. Jo’s perception of the soul is very dependent upon two factors. 1. She must be excited. Whether energized for a fight or for trying new things, she can’t simply be calm. 2. Jo must make physical contact with the target. She gains a view of the soul at its strongest when the strike hits and the vision of the soul slowly fades unless hit again.
When only one of these two standards are met, she may be able to can catch “glimpses” of the soul. These glimpses come as colors of the soul. While this ‘glimpse’ could be deemed helpful, in reality they may not necessarily be accurate. If not meeting her two standards to reach her ability, there is most likely interference either from her own soul, ideas, or thoughts. What she “glimpses” of the soul may be predetermined and not an actual reflection of the one she is focused on.
Positives:
Helps distinguish the difference between corrupted and innocent souls.
Begins another step into the world of meister abilities.
Provides her with a reason to punch someone.
Negatives:
Must make physical contact with target.
Does not always give correct information.
Is new and confusing to the meister.
Estimated Price: 125
