Draven;Kishin
Name: Donovan Wade
Nickname: Draven
Age: 26 (is 107)
Gender: Male
Race: Kishin/ dark Meister
Class: Two-star
A Monstrous Body
Picture:
Appearance: Draven is pretty tall at 6’6” and quite slim at only 177lbs. He looks to be a prime twenty six year old with his height and relaxed demeanor. His skin is unnaturally pale and contrasts with his dark black hair. Speaking of his hair it goes down to his shoulders with bangs framing his face. Also he is clean shaven save for a small patch of hair in a triangle shape on his chin, it helps give him a slightly sinister appearance. Looking at him one would notice a lack of muscle mass, and be correct. His body is not the bulking mass of a brute but the lithe, toned frame of an athlete. Overall he gives off many impressions dark, dangerous, but overall impressive.
Under his shades Draven has a pair of red eyes that seem to glow with their own eerie aura, one reason that he always wears his glasses. If that was any sign of something wrong a look in his mouth would confirm one’s suspicions. A set of fangs in his mouth all the better to drain you dry my dear! If the alluring red eyes and fangs were not enough to give it away the manicured black nails that end in just the slightest of points is your last hint. Yes Draven is a vampire and quite the good one at that. He is the type of person you do not want to meet in a dark alley, and if you mention sparkles you very much will die.
His wardrobe follows a basic theme, aristocratic. On general occasions he will wear an open black suit jacket with a white vest underneath. Black dress pants and white dress shoes. His jacket and pants have dark gray designs all over them but do not show a clear picture. If he is feeling fancy he will button up his jacket and even throw on a tie. Regardless of the outfit he always has two items on him, a pair of sunglasses and a pair of red headphones. The glasses are always on his face when he is in public and the headphones rest around his neck. Usually they are silent but he does occasionally use them to blast music in fitting situations.
Height: 6’6”
Weight: 177lbs
Fighting Style: Unlike most Kishin Draven is not one for violence. If he has to fight he will but would much rather easily defeat an opponent or escape before things get carried away. In actual combat Draven is a close range fighter making use of his Kishin abilities and his previously known meister familiarity. He fights quick and hard and isn’t above using underhanded techniques. Of course if he can stop the fighting in favor of a more beneficial outcome he will not hesitate to do so.
Personality: Emotions are simply tools one can use to manipulate others. Draven is an expert in manipulation and as such has developed control over the expression of his emotions. Usually he is unconcerned with a hint of boredom but can take on the guise of whatever emotion will better aid him. This is not limited to himself however as he has practiced manipulating the emotions of others as well. Humans are food to him and he has nothing against playing games with his meals. Overall one could sum up Draven as a sinister creature, and they would be right.
With the air of an aristocrat he views the world as insignificant to his own agenda. Humans are livestock, other Kishin are never to be trusted, and witches are even less trustworthy than Kishin. Despite his view on the other inhabitants of the world they all have one major thing in common; every last one of them is a potential meal. No not the souls that other Kishin seem to feast on but the blood that courses through them. Ever since his transformation he has been plagued with a thirst for blood that reduces the hunger for souls to nothing more than a fleeting idea. Ever since his early years souls have become a minor part of his existence.
Now if you manage to get a genuine emotion out of Draven be very afraid. In this case he is most likely experiencing an aspect of his early years when he was far more of a typical Kishin egg. Anger is especially dangerous as that could trigger him to truly revert to the monster he was during that time. A mindless rage of power that lust for carnage and hungers for souls, a creature hardly considered human that considers everything possible prey. Actually getting emotions out of him in the first place is a challenge in itself so the Kishin that Draven could be is hardly a threat. More than likely the calm and manipulative Draven will simply seduce his prey so they practically bend their necks at him.
Corrupt the Soul
Abilities:
Sanguine Claws: Blood flows from Draven's fingertips, from beneath the nails, and covers his fingers. That blood hardens and forms a pointed tip. These claws are solid and difficult to break transforming both of his hands into weapons. This is a form of self-resonance like soul purge and allows for flexibility in the length of the claws. Starting at 1" and reaching a max at 5".
Blood Drain/Let : When Draven sinks his teeth into a person he has two options, blood let or blood drain. Blood let is never used but is possible. Draven has his blood flow into the victim and cause them to transform into a vampire/Kishin like himself. Blood drain is more commonly used as he requires it to survive. Draven drains the victim’s blood out of their body and into his so he can survive. To drain a person into unconsciousness it takes him a full minute and a half, he can drain them dry in around four minutes.\
Soul Perception: As a previous meister of Shibusen Draven can still use his ability of soul perception. Having been a rather skilled meister he can use his perception to see what type of soul someone has as well as being able to slightly gauge how powerful they are. Of course soul protect still conceals a witch’s soul from him.
Eye of Temptation: The hypnotizing glare of a vampire, the other reason Draven always conceals his eyes with his shades. If he stares into a person’s eyes he can persuade or even control them depending on how strong they are. Most normal humans are completely controllable, Shibusen students are more inadvertently controlled via persuasion, lesser Kishin can be controlled, stronger Kishin can be strongly persuaded, and witches are more given great sounding ideas.
Reversion Stage 1 (Devil’s Shadow): Tapping into the madness of his youth Draven breaks into his first stage of a true monster. Only being the first stage it is barely a fraction of how he was but vastly more deadly than his base state. His blood claws become a solid seven inches and his body enters a state of greatly enhanced regeneration. His speed and strength are also enhanced in this state as his blood is acting in a more active state. The drawbacks of this are that he needs to feed after use, his abilities become weakened for a few hours, and his body is covered in burning pain from the overactive blood.
Blood of the Ancients: The Blood of the ancients is less of an ability and more of a source. It is the basis for all of Draven's powers. Even inactive it gives him certain benefits. The blood of the Ancients flows through his veins and increases his muscles to give him increased strength and speed. Also it preserves his body looking twenty six for however long he may live.

History: Draven obviously was not always a blood thirsty Kishin egg, in fact he was once a normal human. From there he learned he was a meister and joined Shibusen, and then everything was ruined.
I used to be golden a saint in a time of sorrow
Donovan was born in a small town in England. His father, Connor Wade, was from Ireland and his mother, Abbie Steele, from America. The two had met when his mother, an established meister from Shibusen, was on a mission in Ireland. Connor was a normal human and had no previous knowledge of meisters and weapons until he was among a group attacked by a Kishin. He was saved when Abbie and her weapon appeared and defeated the Kishin egg, thus beginning their relationship. A few years later Abbie had turned her weapon into a Death Scythe and moved to England with Connor. Soon after Donovan was born and the family was complete.
Donovan was fairly average until he reached the age of five and began to mention orbs of light inside people. His mother knew this to be a sign of soul perception and began to train him in how to use his ability. By the time he was thirteen he had a basic understanding of the power and could use it quite well. Being of the right age Donovan was sent off to Shibusen so he could find a weapon and advance his talent. Shortly after arriving he met Miles, a demon dagger, and formed a team. With his soul perception and a weapon they became a true student team and began to partake in the missions the school offered.
Things started a little rocky like it does with most new teams but they eventually got the hang of it. Bonding as a team they unlocked new talents, made resonances. And worked their way up to one of the higher ranked two star teams. Becoming rather confident the two went to take an upper two star mission that they were ready for. Go to some little town in Europe and kill a Kishin, simple right? Everything seemed to be set up fine except for the fact that the mission was a lie. In reality the mission was closer to a low three star mission and they were nowhere near ready for it.
The team arrived in the town as planned and prepared to fight the Kishin that was terrorizing it. As night descended the two waited in the cemetery that the Kishin was reported to appear in. Just as planned the Kishin showed up and faced down the students in the darkness of the falling night. The Kishin looked human enough save for the claws, wings, and bat ears. With a high pitched screech the Kishin began the fight.
And then the turning came…And I kissed the sun goodbye
Within the first few minutes they knew they were outmatched. The Kishin was way too powerful for them to handle but they couldn’t get away. Using what they had learned Donovan was trying to keep them alive until morning but that was a futile attempt. They lasted about a half hour before fatigue started to sink in and they started to lose it. Donovan tried his best to keep away from the Kishin but eventually failed.
From behind the Kishin sunk his fangs into Donovan’s neck and began to drain him dry. Performing a resonance Donovan stabbed the Kishin in the face with the glowing blade of Miles’s dagger form. It recoiled in pain but it wasn’t enough. The blood flowed from the Kishin and entered Donovan’s bloodstream before it could free itself from the piercing blade of the dagger. Donovan wasted no time in slashing one last time at the Kishin and severing the creature’s hand. As the bloody hand fell to the ground the creature flew off to prowl another day.
Donovan was starting to transform as soon as the creature escaped. Miles transformed and tried to help him but Donovan was already becoming feral. Soul still pure he began to consume the severed hand of the Kishin like it was candy. Finishing it he turned to the petrified weapon and pounced. Tackling Miles he bit into his weapon’s neck and began to consume his flesh. Donovan stopped when the soul appeared above the corpse and he consumed that instead of the flesh.
The taste of fresh blood... pushes me on.
His first human soul consumed Donovan began the descent into madness that created a Kishin. Donovan went into a primal rage and began to kill and consume anyone he saw. The need for blood drove him and the souls gave him power. Blood was more than a source of food for him, it was everything. More than a need it was an insatiable lust that coursed through his body. Donovan was no longer human, he had become a monstrous creature that destroyed all he saw.
For fifty years he was that beast that traversed through Europe and destroyed what he spotted. Covered in a red skin of blood he resembled the Kishin that had turned him. After that time he grew stronger and broke out of the bloody shell that had been his body for the past nearly seventy years. Free and with control he began a new life as a Kishin egg. First he learned how to control and make use of his powers, next he learned to blend into society and use it to feed. Learning how to survive he practiced in Europe for a few years before moving to Shibuya, Japan.
In Japan Donovan, no his new name was Draven, began a music shop in an attempt to settle down. Owning a shop and stealing from his prey he gained a bit of wealth and was living quite well. After a few years of this he was found and Shibusen sent a team of students to kill him. They were far from prepared to fight him and he killed them when they attacked. He knew this would end badly for him if he stayed so within the week he erased his presence and left for Europe.
Spending some time in Europe he got Shibusen off his trail and reconsidered his options. Taking a risk he moved back to the United States but went to New York City to avoid Nevada. Opening another music shop Draven returned to his usual survival habits. Not buying a permanent residence he moves around the area staying in top class hotels, and the odd house after a night of fun. Avoiding a permanent residence he hopes to remain off of Shibusen’s radar.

RP Sample: Humans were so easily fooled. The thought was slightly saddening to Draven; it made his work too easy. Sometimes they put up some resistance and he could have some fun. Tonight was not a difficult one. On the contrary, it was easy from the start.
By the time Draven walked into the bar his prey was already drunk. Well that was just no fun for him now was it? He walked over to the counter and ordered his usual, a large blood of the beast, his own creation. Within minutes he had a bottle of dark red liquid placed in front of him. Taking a swig he looked around at the herd of people. Let’s see who was it would be tonight. Soon he spotted his targets, college girls.
They were easy to spot, a large group giggling in the corner. With a dark smile he grabbed his bottle and walked over. Too easy indeed, the girls were staring before he even reached them. Taking another drink he leaned against the wall and looked over the table. Ah there she was the lightweight. Sitting down next to her he started his plan. Step one, remove her from the group.
That would be simple enough. All he had to do was offer her some of his drink. She managed to drink about a cup full, that surprised and impressed Draven. Not many people could stomach a mix of 160 proof vodka, rum, and blood. She took it like a champ and was completely wasted before she could put the cup down. A nice offer to escort her back to his place and the other girls practically pushed her into him.
Sadly for the girl she was not the most attractive. She was an easy meal and that was it. He did feel a little bad I mean this was the fast food of the vampire lifestyle. And she was definitely a McDonalds. Now she wasn't that bad but not worth his time, he would have to dine and dash. Leading her down a dark alley he started to remove her jacket. She wouldn't need it; I mean it was Shibuya in October.
She misinterpreted the gesture and thought he was going to go farther. Her hands went to his back as his steadied her from falling and pulled her shirt over her shoulder. Leaning down he breathed on her neck just to see her reaction, it was enjoyable in itself. This girl was enjoying herself for the moment. Lips touched her neck and made way to his fangs.
Her demeanor changed nearly instantly. She sobered up and was working on moving her hands. Draven couldn't have this now could he? A hand wrapped around her mouth and pulled her deeper into the darkness of the ally. Her muffled voice didn't interest him as much as her alcohol filled blood. Draven loved the tingle of alcohol in blood. Suddenly she stopped moving and Draven let go of her body.
A small thud and the girl was on the ground. Draven waited while the soul emerged from her body and he could snatch it. This was the dangerous part; getting caught over a dead body would just end badly. There it was! Draven snatched the soul and quickly consumed it. Ah the cherry on top. With a final look at the body he grinned "Don't worry; your friends will meet up with you soon. The hot one is my plan for tomorrow." With a final grin he walked away from the corpse before anyone found it. Too easy.
